Status Overview, Appraisal MSS Iview.

Hi experts,
In status overview MSS Iview, Appraisal.
Manager has a option to select the appraisal form type (ie show dropdown box).
but we want to remove that DD box and make the table populate the by default all the forms type.
please help me how to achive this.
is there any need to modify code in nwds or in the backend.
if in the backend where in which bapi/class/..?

which version of appraisals are you using (bsp/webdynpro?)
we are using bsp version.
and this staus overview Iview is webdynpro one.
Is there already an option ALL forms available in the dropdown?
we dont have ALL type in the option.

Part appraisals as part of OSA Status Overview in MSS?

Hi,
I'm in the middle of a clarification phase regarding implementation of Objective Setting and Appraisal (OSA). This is my question regarding part appraisals:
In the Status Overview page/iview in MSS, the manager can prepare, see, select and modify documents with statuses like In preparation, In Planning and In Process.
If a document has the substatus "Part appraisal in process", and the manager is the first part appraiser, I would expect the document to open the part appraisal column for input when I select the document from the "In Process" column. Instead the document is opened with the Final Appraisal column open for input.
How can you include a managers part appraisal documents in the Status Overview page, or have the part appraisal column open for input?
We want to make the Status Overview the "one point of access" for the managers appraisal tasks, but is that possible within standard?

Is your issue resolved, we did notice the similar behavior. However if BSP application HAP_DOCUMENT/documents_todo.htm is called directly, it displays the Part appraisal first and then upon completion it displays Final appraisal.
I plan on providing this as URL in MSS as an alternative till OSS status overview is fixed.
Any info ?

Automatic refresh requisition status overview in MSS e-recruiting

Hi guys,
We are implementing e-recruiting 6.0 and de MSS functionality to request a requisition with approvals. The manager can see his/her requests in the requisition status overview to follow-up. If we create a new requisition, the list is only updated with this after you close the browser and log back in in the portal. Is there any way to activate the automatic refresh of this list?

iam working on setting up E-rec in stand alone scenario.
While we have been able to setup the workflow in MSS up to approval of Extended req. request, i could not see the recruiter getting the requisition to release and publish it.

Status overview-OSA-POWL

Hi Folks,
In Appraisal we have a requirement where we have to view the Appraisal documents under MSS under Status overview .
Currently we can see all the appraisals with different status under Status overview under MSS ,We just want to restrict the completed appraisal forms here.
Could any one please let us know whether this can be done by customizing the POWL Query type and class-CL_HRHAP00_STARTPG_POWL .

it's certain a good question, because the answer is pretty much none...
The BAdI HRHAP00_GET_LIST_FLT can be used to filter the list - but unfortunately it will filter all requests for lists of appraisals - which I don't think you want to do - only in this specific case. It has a filter value, but the call to the BAdI doesn't allow you to pass this filter! (poor effort SAP - there seems to be a need for some extensibility architect overview in recent HR code releases - explicit enhancement in the move from WDJ and BSP into WDA has in some cases been, in my opinion, poorly thought out and executed. Thank goodness for the implicit enhancement framework!)
I would suggest - for the simplest implementation that you enhance the feeder class to set a static attribute of the BAdI implementation when the feeder is called - enhance method get_objects
add in at the start of the method something like:
IF i_applid EQ 'OSA-POWL-MSS' .
zcl_hr_hap_mss_filter=>set_mss_usage( abap_true ).
endif.
and then in your BAdI implementation
data: l_use_mss_filter type boole_d.
l_use_mss_filter = zcl_hr_hap_mss_filter=>get_mss_usage( ).
if l_use_mss_filter = abap_true.
*remove all non required entries.
endif.

MSS Status overview iview Objective Settings & appraisals

Hi All,
Currently the status overview Iview of MSS for appraisals display all the employees(in org unit) irrespective of whether the employee/appraisee has existing documents. This is because this Iview also has the functionality of creating the appraisal documents from here.
In our case we don't create appraisal documents from this Ivew, so we hide the "In Preparation".
Now the question is we want to filter the employees and display only those who has appraisal documents already created. How could we achive this?
All we need is: We wanted to give an view to higher level manager with all the employees who has apprisal documents in completed status and he need to just approve/reject. Is there any other way we can achive this with out using the Status Overview Iview. I am not able to locate any bsp which serves this purpose from HAP_DOCUMENT.
Please adive me, how can I achive this.

Status overview iView not refreshed for performance documents on MSS

Hi Experts,
We are using the standard portal business package for Manager Self Service. However, recently, we found out that one iView was working before suddenly stopped working. This is the Status Overview iView for Maintain Performance Documents. When searching for the performance appraisal documents for a group of direct report employees, the status overviewtable is not refreshed. Although we do have the appraisal documents in
R/3, the iView shows 0 results.
we use MSS 600 SP 8 BP

Link missing for appraisal documents in MSS Status overview

Hi all,
For ESS Status overview page of Flexible Appraisal document, the appraisal documents are listed with links. when we click the link, its taking to the appraisal document.
For MSS Status overview page of Flexible Appraisal documents, the appraisal documents are shown as texts and there is no link. (hyperlink). Opening the document is possible only by clicking 'Display' or 'Edit' button.
I have checked throughout the SDN and unable to find the problem. Our functional team says that the link was appearing before. Could some one help on what configuration is necessary to get the link for appraisal documents in MSS

Multiple Appraisal Documents via Status Overview Portal iView

Good evening experts,
We have encountered an issue on our system using both custom BSP and standard SAP Delivered BSP for Performance Management (HAP_DOCUMENT).
Logon via Manager self service, then select the link to maintain performance documents to open the Status Overview iView (you can view all directly subordinate employees and links to appraisal documents).
If you select to open two, three, four appraisal documents from the list and have them open simultaneously, we are having an issue for when the manager selects "save" on one of the documents, the header data will all of a sudden display the same appraisee name across all of the open documents. The data becomes corrupt, and data does not properly save.
Have any of you encountered this issue before when you have multiple appraisal documents open at the same time?

I guess it happens due to the session of a particular page not expiring , try to delete the cookies from the system and try once more,

We are using Status Overview for Personnel Change Requests iview for which we have multiple columns displayed with data.
We need to hide Status column in Status Overview for Personnel Change Requests iview for all the users.

Hi Pradeep,
Preview the portal page which you want to edit, in this case status overview in PCR. In the preview press the CTRL-key and right-click on the column that you want to edit. Here, you will be able to perform your customizations like hiding columns, labels etc

Creating tabs in Appraisals Overview Page(ESS/MSS) -Status Overview

We have two types of Appraisal documents in system.
One is normal Appraisal document and another is Talent Competency Assessment document.
We are thinking to keep these two appraisal documents apart and away from each other.
By creating the two Status Overview in ESS/MSS overview Page and controlled via PRogram to what documents appear in Status Overview Page.
Can anybody suggest is ther any way around it to display two kinds of Appraisal documents separately.
I tried this configuration in MSS,but it is not working.

OSA-MSS-Status Overview-EHP4

Hi,
We are using the EHP4 appraisals ,when the manager open the status overview he has 2 options to search the employees like employees to appraise and Direct reports .
We want to use the other search criterias also i.e Emp from org structure and emp from org units.
The service we are using -HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_MSS.
In BSP related Appraisals we could able to control this with OADP but coming to WD its based on POWL .
Could any one please let me know from which OADP or WD application the sytem is pciking the search criteria under MSS fucntionality.

sounds like missing configuration after the upgrade.

Status overview iview Objective Settings & appraisals

Hi,
is there a way to hide some status columns in the status overview iview of objective settings and appraisals. we tried by deactivating the available status in the appraisal template, but it does not seem to affect the iview.
we would like to hide them since they are not used in our process.
we are using ECC 5.0.

In our case, if a status is not used in Appraisal Template (in tcode OOAM - tab 'Status Flow' for the template - we removed the check against the unwanted status), that status column does not appear in Status Overview iView.
This is FYI. I don't know why this is not the case with you, but you may un-release and release the template and check again.
One more point - You may check view named V_TWPC_ACOL (Assign Columns to a Column Group). In this, you can set column visibility parameters such as Visible, Invisible and Do Not Display.

How to change texts in MSS iView 'Attendance Overview'

Does anyone know how to change the texts in the MSS iView 'Attendance Overview', for example? It has the column 'Employees' and we would like to change it to say 'Associates'. Also, it has the text 'Choose Employee List' which has a drop down with 'All Employees' or 'Directly Reporting Employees' which we want to change 'Employees' to 'Associates' as well.

The easiest way to do the search is on the file system. The PAR files get unpacked under:
\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<XX>\j2ee\cluster\server<X>\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root
you can also browse this via the portal goto
System Administration --> Support
There you will be able to browse the deployed par files... but the file system is easiest.
