I have like 19 printers but only 5 HP CB516A are having this problem.
The Print Message displayed is :

Its not a major issue but its a nuissance and wastes pages and ink

  • L7680 Ejects Blank Page before and after print job

    My L7680 recently started to eject a blank page before and after a print job; seperator page option is NOT selected.  I tried all the suggested trouble shooting points in the HELP section but none have solved the issue.
    This question was solved.

    The setup button on the printer had a choice to return to all factory defaults - that solved the problem but it does take yoiu back to starting again to set other choices you may have made since starting toi use the devise.

  • PSC 1210 page feed before and after printing

    My PSC 1210 has been working fine for years but it has just recently started feeding a blank page before and after printing. That wouldn't be a problem except that the blank pages are not fully ejected, this means that I have to grab the first blank page, as it comes through the printer, and pull it out, otherwise it gets drawn back in causing a paper jam when the actual print job starts. Once this blank page has been removed the print job continues perfectly.
    This occurs when printing documents, copying using the scanner, and printing a test page.
    I have removed and reinstalled the printer driver/software and performed a partial reset on the printer, neither fixed the problem.

    I see you mention that the issue also happens when you are copying, that means that this issue is not related to your printer software. So that's good to know!
    Now, since this is not a software issue, this must then be related to your hardware. Is this printer plugged into a wall outlet directly or is it plugged into a surge protector? To be sure that the printer gets all the power it needs make sure that it is plugged directly into a wall outlet.
    First things first, I would recommend unplugging the printer for about 30 seconds from both the back of the unit and from the wall outlet, and then plugging it back in. Try making a copy or print and see if the issue persists.
    You can also try cleaning the paper feed rollers in the printer, here is a document that can show you where all of those are located and how to clean them.

    Let me know if any of this helps resolve the issue!

    This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!

  • An extra page prints before and after a page with the data, why?

    If I go to www.allrecipes.com, select a recipe and click on the Print button, FF prints an extra blank page before and after the recipe. The recipe is short and easily fits on a single page. I've changed all the print settings so that even the Header & Footer info is set to "Blank".

    I don't understand why blank pages are generated, but I can help you with a quick hack if you like. This will strip off everything but the actual recipe area so that you can streamline the printout.
    After you load the page and select your options:
    * Open Firefox web console using Ctrl+Shift+k
    * Next to the caret (>) paste the following script then press Enter to run it:
    var rectbl = document.querySelector(".pageback table.recipeprinttable"); document.body.insertBefore(rectbl, document.body.firstChild); while(document.body.children.length>1) document.body.removeChild(document.body.children[1]);
    * Close the web console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+k again
    When you preview the page, it should look ready for printing. Any luck?
    Obviously that's not very convenient if you print a lot of recipes from this site, so you could save the script as a bookmarklet. Here's how:
    First, copy this slightly modified script (select, Ctrl+c):
    javascript: var rectbl = document.querySelector(".pageback table.recipeprinttable"); document.body.insertBefore(rectbl, document.body.firstChild); while(document.body.children.length>1) document.body.removeChild(document.body.children[1]); void 0;
    Next, if you are not displaying the Bookmarks Toolbar, you can display it using either:
    * right-click a blank area of the tab bar > Bookmarks Toolbar
    * tap the Alt key > View menu > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar
    Right-click on the Bookmarks Toolbar and choose New Bookmark.
    Paste the code into the Location box (the second box).
    Then type a useful name in the Name box (e.g., AllRecipes) and click Add.
    Now, when you want to hack the page, click the button to run the script.

  • I am trying to delete pages I have crated in numbers, but can only see them in print preview. Without print preview I do not see them. How can I delete these pages, but keep others before and after?

    I am trying to delete pages I have crated in numbers, but can only see them in print preview. Without print preview I do not see them. How can I delete these pages, but keep others before and after?

    Hi Crushed,
    Numbers doesn't have pages. It has a canvas that holds objects such as tables and charts.
    Drag the objects from the bottom of the canvas onto the white space above. That will reduce the number of "pages" (sheets of paper) that will print.

  • Can I print before and after on the same page?

    Hi everyone.
    I'm really proud of my editing on a particular image.  I want to print the before and after on the same page, just like I can see the before and after side-by-side in the Develop mode.
    Is this possible?
    Thanks for your help.

    Yes but you will need to make a virtual copy by going to the menu:
    Photo >> Create Virtual Copy
    Then open copy 2 in the Develop module and from the history panel change the setting to the time of import (usually the bottom of the list) or use the re-set button to get back to the original file from camera.
    You can then select copy 1 & 2 and go to the Print module to set up your page with both images.

  • In my class i am suppose to do a before and after shot, how do i have two photos on one page

    before and after shots..how do i put two photos on one page?? please help

    Good day!
    As Photoshop is not a page layout application but primarily image editing software the concept of "page" has limited relevance.
    Anyway, you could increase the canvas (Image > Canvas Size) and place the other image (File > Place …) or drag and drop it.
    Or create a new image and place both images. Whether doing so as Embedded or Linked Smart Objects makes more sense depends on your workflow, I guess.
    File > Automate > Contact Sheet II would be another option.

  • Printing count of records before and after a command in a PL/SQL

    Hi: I have the following PL/SQL script
    declare
    l_sysdate date := sysdate;
    begin
    INSERT INTO a_mnsnotes SELECT * from mnsnotes where TKT_NBR in (
    select TKT_NBR from mnsinterface where MNS_STATUS=5 and CLOSED_DATE < (((l_sysdate-30) - to_date('01-JAN-1970','DD-MON-YYYY')) * 86400));
    delete from mnsnotes Where
    TKT_NBR in (select TKT_NBR from mnsinterface where MNS_STATUS=5 and CLOSED_DATE < (((l_sysdate-30) - to_date('01-JAN-1970','DD-MON-YYYY')) * 86400));
    commit;
    end;
    /I want to assign the number of records in the two table (a_mnsnotes and mnsnotes) to two variables so I can print in one line the numberof records for both tables before and after the procedure. How do I set the output of a sql command (select count(*) from mnsnotes) to a variable within the pl/sql?
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Also I'm guessing this:
    (((l_sysdate-30) - to_date('01-JAN-1970','DD-MON-YYYY')) * 86400);
    is because closed_date is stored as number of seconds since 01-JAN-1970, which should be turned into a date ASAP. Never store dates as anything other than DATE datatype (or maybe TIMESTAMP in more recent versions).
    It's not right, as sysdate will have a time component so if this code is run at 8am it will give different results to if it is run at 9pm. And not all months have 30 days.
    Have you considered TRUNC(add_months(sysdate,-1)) instead of l_sysdate-30 ?

  • Bug: Before and After Margins Layout with section starting in right page

    Hi,
    I am using the Spanish version of Pages 09. I have observed that when I start a new section, I have no problems setting the layout margins (right, left, before, after) of this section.
    But if a set that the new section must start in a right page, then the "before" and "after" margins of the layout doesn't work.
    Is this the same in English versions of Pages?
    Regards,

    I see what you are saying.
    The problem is Pages seems to have a memory of how you arrived at that layout.
    When I construct the pages, it is correct.
    I am trying to find out what is interacting in your layout to cause this to happen. It is like there is a hidden inaccessible layout break on the blank inserted page.
    I have been tearing my hair out trying to work out what triggers it off. As I experimented with the combinations of settings in Facing pages, Section layouts and which page it starts on, it erratically switches back and forth.
    This is why I gave up on Pages years ago as a serious layout tool. It has too many of these raw, poorly thought out interactions. I use a lot of different applications and none of them, that I can think of, have so many of these mind twisting raw oddities. Odd for a supposed user friendly application.
    All the rest are pretty literal, you apply the settings and end up with a logical result of those settings. If the result is not what you wanted it is a matter of tracking what is interacting with what and straightening it out. Pages has the annoying "design" of inexplicably greying out functions for no stated reason, that prevents correction. Or hiding the access to the tools to those settings. You can only get to some of them if you have explicitly done something to make them possible. The rules as to what that "something" is, are not apparent nor in most cases explained in the User Guide or the User Interface.
    There may be a "reason" why the function is greyed out but it is not revealed to the user without an enormous amount of detective work and as in this case my sleuthing abilities are failing me completely. I might try it again tomorrow after a rest (it is very late here). Either way it is a huge time waster.
    This is fundamentally bad User Interface design and what I have railed against since Apple changed shifts, bringing in the OSX programmers who never really got the polished UI of the original Mac OS and have been cooking with Fanta* ever since.

    * This is an anecdote originally told by Peter Russell-Clarke, a well known and creative Australian chef back in the 70's. He was berated in the street by a woman who told him that his recipe for +Duck à l'orange+ was "disgusting". When he cross examined her, he found she didn't eat fresh fruit so had made the orange sauce with Fanta.
    I use this to try and get the message over to clients when they insist on "substituting" material because "what's the difference". The trouble with people who can't tell the difference is that they rarely ever do, no matter how carefully it is demonstrated to them.

  • I dropped in 2 photos as a side by side (a before and after shot) in Pages.  I went to upload it on a website, but said: not an allowed file type.  I converted it to a pdf, but that didn't work either. Is there a way to convertPages doc to a jpeg?

    I dropped 2 photos side by side (before and after shot) in Pages.
    When I went to upload the photos on a website, message said

    that as an option on scroll bar.

    Hi iris117,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
    One thing you can do if you can't just upload the photos individually, is to take a screen shot of your Pages document.  Here's how:

  • 5.2 Pages, how to create white space before and after paragraphs?

    Hi everyone,
    I'm having a very frustrating time with the new 5.2 version of pages after upgrading from a prior version. In the previous version, you could easily adjust the exact amount of white space before and after each paragraph. You were able to do this from within the inspector, but for the life of me, I cannot find it ANYWHERE in the new version and I'm ripping my hair out trying to find it.
    Surely you must be able to control the amount of space before and after each paragraph? It's totally useless to me if I can't; I want to be able to format my documents how I want; ie. plenty of white space between paragraphs and list points, not all bunched up together.
    Someone please help me! Thank you so much!

    Try telling Apple that. Start by rating/reviewing Pages in the App Store.
    I have been told repeatedly by Apple staff that the new User Interface makes it "Much simpler".
    When I ask how? …and point out how many (more) hidden steps there are, they don't want to talk anymore.
    Apple's standard response to just about everything lately, unfortunately.
    btw If you have the choice, use Pages '09 instead. Less buggy and way more features, better laid out.
    Peter

  • Compare BEFORE and AFTER image in replicat

    Do any of You experts know how to make the following code smaller?

    This code is part of the params section of a sqlexec in a replicat file where I want to concatenate before and after images of a table into one parameter. I have to replace all NULLs with '' or the whole string evaluates to NULL when one of the columns are NULL. I have a procedure receiving the parameter.
    How do I write this code shorter? I have to use less code to accomplish the same thing.

    Hi Yosemite:
      You're right, the correct term is "Key Fields", in the previous post I made a mistake when referring to it as "Key Part", I'm sorry for the confusion.
    Anyway, it is not clear to me if you managed to solve the problem or if you're still struggling with your data loads, if this is the case, Could you please elaborate?
    -Which is the data source you are working with?
    -Did you map the ROCANCEL field both to the 0STORNO and 0RECORDMODE InfoObjects?
    -Are you using Addition or Overwrite on the Update Rules/Transformation Rules to the DSO?
    -Have you applied any relevant SAP Note to fix this issue?

  • Before and After insert or update rowcount

    Hi
    I have several extract objects procs which are calling various build objects procs which in turn are inserting or updating the tables...now when i run these objects sometimes i get no errors and everything seems to be running perfectly but the tables do not get updated ? now what i am trying to achieve here is get some kind of summary where i can see the before and after rowcount..for that i have created a table of every extract object proc and another table with the coressponding tables being updated by tht proc...can anyone pls tell me how should i look into these procs and how do i get the rowcount for a particular table before and after the procedure was run ?
    Thanks a lot in advance

    Hi,
    On which version of RDBMS are you working , because if you're on 10g then just enable auditing or even FGA on the tables were you want to see the changes,
    Then query the DBA-AUDIT (not sure of the name anymore) view.
    If not then create a audit package yourself.
    something like
    create or replace package pck$audit as
    procedure prc$check_tablecount(p_tablename IN VARCHAR2, p_status IN VARCHAR2);
    end;
    create or replace package body pck$audit as
    procedure prc$check_tablecount(p_tablename IN VARCHAR2,p_status IN VARCHAR2) IS
    sqlstr VARCHAR2(100);
    v_count NUMBER;
    begin
    sqlstr := 'SELECT COUNT(*) FROM '||p_tablename;
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE sqlstr into v_count; --could by 'using v_count' check syntax for this
    INSERT INTO audit_table(table_name,total_count,status,time_stamp)
    VALUES(p_tablename,v_count,p_status,SYSTIMESTAMP);
    COMMIT;
    end;
    end;
    you can elaborate on this creating additional procedure checking differences in total_count on same table at same time.
    Now call this procedure before starting your insert-delete- on your table make sure you put the parameters correct eg p_status => 'begin procedure'
    and call it again after your commit in your procedure.
    Hope this helps you out
    Erwin
