? Status Points ?

Many times I have wanted to commendsomeone and give them a Status Point but to no avail.  Either the icon to proceed was gone or when the icon was pushed nothing happened......  Is there a limit on giving points to others? Is it me being a Rookie and needing education on how to? or is it What?   It would be nice to offer a compilment on a reular basis.  Your thought will be read and applied to give credit where credit is due.  As usual: Thank You In Advance.

Hi Seventy One.....Fantastic...this is ths answer that I thought and agree with the most and Ditto--- the best reply So...may I please give you a thumbs up to you.
Your statement: "The kindest and most dedicated attention I ever had came from someone who described himself as a newby."   was an answer considerating the big picture .
I have 5 points and no one wants my answers even though I'm working towards a PhD. LOL Thank You My question is solved.

  • Where are the status points?

    Hi otn moderator,
May i know why the status points are removed from the otn profile? Are you going to change the system of awarding points or going to abandon the points system itself?

Yes. Any information would be good. May I missed any news about this?!
Reward system still in the FAQ. so I guess this is only a temporary situation.
But it would be good to get some insider info.

  • Sccm 2012 r2 Fallback status point

as we have intranet and internet user to support for sccm 2012r2
we have one server in DMZ with SUP,DP,MP role for IBCM now, my question .....is it possible to support
internet client for FSP as it communicates only in HTTP.
Can we install FSP and MP in same box for intranet clients.any advantage or disadvantages.

It's technically possible to use a FSP for Internet clients, but I would strongly advise to not do that. It's a big security risk as it's unauthenticated HTTP traffic. For more information see:

  • Return vector for points done of check buffer status in onboard program

    Background
I am trying to develop a trigger application based on the current position of a contour profile.
I can not use breakpoints as the application is using hydraulic cylinders with analog feedback
for the primary position. In order to make sure the trigger happens relative to the motion regardless
of host load I want to run the application as an onboard program.
My idea is to read the buffer status points done and generate a pulse out as a trigger when the
points done is greater than the programmed trigger point. For example if I want to trigger on the 42
point of a 100 point profile, I would read points done of the main contour buffer. When points done
is greater than or equal to 42, I would generate a short pulse as a trigger.
    Question
My problem is, I cannot find the order that the check buffer status VI returns the data to an onboard program
return vector. As I understand it, I need 3 variables to hold the returned data. One each for State, Backlog, and
Points Done. If I set the return vector to 10, does State get stored in 10, Backlog in 11, and Points done in 12, or
    is there a different order?
If you could provide the return vector mapping order for all the motion VIs, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,
This is a very good question. I checked in the help for the LabVIEW VI, and it does not explicitly state the answer. The VI calls the FlexMotion function "flx_check_buffer_rtn". In the "NI-Motion Function Help" (Start>>Programs>>National Instruments>>NI Motion>>Documentation), the information for the functions states that it "...returns data in the following order: backlog, bufferState, and pointsDone." It also tells you the size of each of the elements. I will be filing a report so that the LabVIEW documentation includes this information in the future. I hope this helps. Take care!

  • Degradation of status and reduction in gained points..very critical issue..

    Dear all,
Due to EBS upgradation at our organization, I was unable to open the OTN since last 2-3 months.
I had PRO status having points more than 600 at that time.
Suddenly, today I have opened OTN and surprisely I found that my status is degraded to JOURNEYER from PRO and points reduced to 425 .
Earlier it was 625-630 points .
    How it is possible ?
What I have to do to regain my losted status & points ?
    regards

Can you explain what you mean please? I cannot see why egalitarian was something one would want to achieve in any environment other than religion or law, it's absolutely counterproductive and sets no intensives of creativeness and progression. If you have a point system, you have a hierarchy. You've been around long enough to have seen some of the best discussions here and on usenet were without a point system. Heck, anyone can ask Jonathan Lewis an optimizer question. That's a good thing! That's truly egalitarian. And I'm sure you could find examples of someone getting "correct" points followed by Jonathan giving a better answer. That's silly on its face, a lopsided hierarchy (of course, Jonathan said he doesn't care about the ace director label, or something along those lines, when his profile hadn't been updated to show it).

Many of us believe that the problem is it motivates people to provide less than useful content. If that is the only reason some people are here, it is indeed wrong. I don't have this impression, but even it was factual, it's up to the original poster to assign points and not to the person who responds or who is first in the game. People who have such intention will get frustrated very soon - and probably want the point system to be removed and replaced by a post counter ;-)lol, well, we know that is moot for now. Thanks again to Sonya for keeping us updated.

  • SCCM 2012 R2 site server client installation error: The client version 5.00.7958.1000 does not match the MP version 5.00.7804.1000.

    Hello,
When I try to install the client on the site server itself it gives me this error message and fails the ccmsetup. I only have this on the site server. Clients to other servers and computers are pushed fine. If I check the version of the MP it says 5.00.7958.1000
in ADSI. I removed the MP object in CN=System, CN=System Management. Waited for it to be regenerated automatically by SCCM but the installation doesn't work still.
I tried to install with several methods including directly from ccmsetup.exe in ccmsetup folder, pushing by sccm itself, running from commandline, ...
I run SCCM 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 and the database on SQL 2008 on Server 2008 R2

I hope someone can help me with this.
    Kind regards

I agree with Idan. You can easily remove the Management Point Site System role and add it again with no adverse effect. This should solve your problem.

  • Client Install Issue - SCCM 2012 R2 - Manual Deploy Installed ok

Hello, I have sccm 2012 configured with 2,000 machine approx. It is been used mainly as a Software Deployment tool for now. On checking a recent IE10 upgrade, I noticed that there is a number of machines that do not have the client installed (and thus did
not upgrade IE). I picked 1 machine, searched in SCCM - had no client. I checked all relevant settings:
Boundary for Client in question - ok
Local Client Settings (ip,dns,no firewall, ping sccm ok and vice versa etc).
Once i right clicked to deploy the client, it installed no problem. I checked the ccmsetup log file and the only info it had was from the time that the client was manually deployed (I will attach the log below anyway). I am really puzzled as to why the client
did not install and if this is the issue why IE is not upgrading (it is hard to pinpoint as there are 250 sites approx). The automatic install task works no problem on other machines once the machine goes online.
Any help, would be great. Here is the log (I am fairly new to SCCM btw):

    Hi,
The client cannot verify the signature of ccmsetup.cab. I suggest you check the Trusted Root Certification Authorities in certificate store on the client to see whether a certificate is missing.
Try to enable verbose logging for SCCM client installation. Then check the log to see whether there are some useful information.(http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg699356.aspx)

  • How to list OPEN sales orders only

Standard B1 sales analysis reports, report on ALL orders whether they are closed or not.
(i.e. sales A/R - Sales Reports - Sales Analysis - click the orders button - select date range)
The above returns all orders and I'd like to return ONLY the uninviced orders
Is it possible to report on OPEN orders only? If so how?

    Hi Martin ,
I am providing you this suggesstion so that you can solve another issue  effectively.
For example , You need to get sales order with status open,
    Fo to sales ->Sales Order
On the menu bar -->View -->System information
Lets say you need togo to Check status , point your cursor at the particular field --you can see at the status bar it is coming from OCRD .Docstatus .similarly you can get information about the field you want in your report
So -go to query generator ,
    select the table --OCRD ,
Select the field you want  and execute .You build your query based on your need . You can put more filter based on where clause --where Docstatus='o'
Some basic sql command willbe more helpful to improve your skill .
    Hope this helps .

  • SMS_Hierarchy_Manager Errors: SQL Message 15063

    Hi there,
I recently brought up SCCM 2012 and have started the migration process from our old 2007 environment. We have a simple SCCM configuration. One site server (primary), has the following roles installed: Component Server, Distrubution Point, Endpoint Protection
Point, Fallback Status Point, Management Point, Reporting Services Point, Site Database Server, Site Server , Site System and the Software Update Point.
Everything seems to be working good thus far, however the  SMS_Hierarchy_Manager Component is reporting the following error 1-5 times a day (at random times)
Microsoft SQL Server reported SQL message 15063, severity 16: [42000][15063][Microsoft][SQL
Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]The login already has an account under a different user name.
SQL is configured for Windows Authentication. Everything seems to be working fine but I must have something
incorrect in the SQL config (not surprising, I'm not strong on the SQL side of things).
    Looking forward to any advice!
    Thank you :)

Hi - Did anyone work out a resolution to this issue?
I found that the error was being generated when a Discovery task was being run, which explains the random times. You can recreate the error by forcing a full discovery (Forest,
Group, System, or User). I ran a SQL Profiler, but it didn't provide anything useful, and didn't elaborate on which user if was trying to add to the database. I our case the site server computer account is being used - it wasn't a sysadmin, but even
after making it one it didn't make a difference.
If anyone has other suggestions, let us know.
    Cheers,
    David

  • Verizon Complaint - Harassment, Lack of Customer Service, No Loyalty

After searching long and hard, it appears that there is no place to lodge a formal complaint against Verizon.  I saw where an individual was told by a Verizon rep the place to file such complaints is right here in the forums.  This seems to be an ineffective place to make such statements.  With that said, I write this post with little expectation of satisfaction in remedying the complaint.  In fact, I believe that the lack of a formal complaint channel points to the company's unwillingness to address key business points, such as customer satisfaction.  Consider this post an indication of one such dissatisfied customer.
As background, I have been a steady Verizon customer for about 12 years (give or take a year).  In that time, I have re-signed my contract several times, purchased numerous phones, and have been timely in my payments.  I seem to recall even being given a Verizon VIP status which gave me a discount on phone accessories.  The fact that most people reading this will have never heard of the Verizon VIP status points to how long I've been with Verizon.  My first Verizon phone was the Motorola V60i - top of the line at the time.
Recently the credit card I have on file for auto payment expired.  I knew it was going to expire and updated the account with a new card as soon as it came in.  Apparently this update did not stick.  About two weeks ago, my wife began getting phone calls from Verizon.  Each time they called it would be from a different out of region phone number.  Each time an automated voice would leave a message about "changes to the account".  The calls increased to about 5 per day with several text messages throughout.  The first red flag is that her line is a secondary number, whereas mine is the primary.  If there was a legitimate change to the account the assumption is that Verizon would call the primary account holder.  They did not.
This continued for about a week.  The calls and the texts would come during working hours and into the night.  I called one of the numbers back.  After pressing # to do this and # to do that, I was given a choice.  Press 1 to make a payment to the account or press 2 if you have already paid this bill or are planning to pay this bill immediately.  Since I had already paid the bill, I pressed 2.  The next automated message I received said that they would be expecting my payment within 7 days and the system would be updated to reflect I had made this agreement.  Failure to pay the bill would cause an interruption in my service.
    My problems-
    1. Verizon should  not call a secondary number to discuss the bill.  Luckily the secondary number was my wife's.  What if it had been a teenaged child?
    2. Verizon should not engage in such harassing techniques.  I have been a loyal customer for over a decade.  A simple phone call from a human and I would have happily explained I did update the card, and then paid immediately.  It went too far for no reason.
    3. As a customer, I should have quick access to a customer rep or another avenue, such as a dissatisfaction form in My Verizon, to outline this in a more conducive manner than simply throwing it into a pile of other forum posts with no sense of direction or expectation of satisfaction.
It is for all these reasons that I am dissatisfied with Verizon currently.  I am not currently under contract and I am shopping for another provider.  While I'm sure many of my complaints will be found in the other provider, at least I have the satisfaction of taking my dollars to a company that will treat me like a number on a page instead of the misconception that customer loyalty still meant anything.  Again, I am not expecting any followup from Verizon, but you have my phone number if you would like to discuss this.  After all, a simple call from a human in the first place would have corrected this.
My question to the rest of the forum is, "Am I the only one in this boat?"

    JonathanK_VZW,
First, thank you for taking the time to respond to my statement.  I appreciate that you took the time to do so.
However, I don't think that your response addresses my concerns.  I thought I had paid the bill as explained above.  Your financial department acted in a harassing manner by contacting a secondary phone number on my account.  Not once did anyone or any automated communication contact my number, the primary account holder.  The calls were as many as 5 in a day with several text messages.  The voice messages, when one was left, and the text messages simply stated there had been changes made to the account - hardly helpful information.  In fact, the limited statement was so cryptic that they were originally dismissed as being spam - a reasonable conclusion considering the amount of spam messages Verizon customers receive concerning "changes to the account".
Luckily, the secondary number your financial department decided to contact was my wife's number.  Had it been a child's phone this complaint would have a completely different tone.  However, any number of other customers may not be so fortunate.  You stated " financial services may try to reach you on an alternate line or a contact number we have on file" as an explanation of this practice.  That answer only makes sense if you attempted the primary account holder first.  You did not.  Not one instance.
You  mentioned that the volume of your customers prevents you from giving each one personalized service.  I realize Verizon must have an enormous customer base and the sheer volume creates complications that I have not yet considered.  May I suggest you make a special effort to show personal customer support to long term customers with an established track record of timely payments and patronage - such as myself.  The silver lining for Verizon is that your current solution to your customer load crisis - harassing phone calls, ineffective automated services, etc. - may self-correct your problem.  More and more folks will take their wallets elsewhere and you may find that managing effective customer service becomes a simpler task.
Again, JonathanK_VZW, I do want to thank you for taking the time to respond.  That is sincere.  I did not expect Verizon to respond.  I would like my concerns to be passed to your supervisors and then to their supervisors.  I believe my points are valid criticisms of Verizon's current customer services.  I realize that customer service is traditionally a difficult role as it is the department the angry, screaming, crazies contact to vent.  I hope the simple measure by which I've responded shows that is not the case here - that the criticisms point to terrible service and any industry that values its customers would want to at least address the key points therein.
    To the supervisors:
Any productive organization has to develop strategies that manage the work load while maintaining quality.  Those strategies must be reevaluated from time to time to measure effectiveness and quality. This message points to one of those times.  Effectiveness and quality are lacking.  It is time to develop a new strategy - a working strategy.  Your customers would appreciate it.

    Hi,
I've seen the same error on a customer where we had Windows Intune Client (SCCM) installed previously. Did you try it on a newly deployed computer? If you had Intune or another CCM client on it previously make sure you clean it up. Here is a well formulated
    instruction:
    http://douwevanderuit.wordpress.com/2014/01/30/removing-windows-intune-client/
Usually when deploying to many clients we use a startup script, there is a great one that Jason Sandys made in the link below.
    http://blog.configmgrftw.com/configmgr-client-startup-script/
There should be no problems deploying SCCM 2012 R2 clients on Windows 8.1 unless there is something wrong with either the setup or the client computer.
All the best, Jesper Hassing - MCTS SCCM 2012 - MCSA 2012 Server - MCP

  • CCMSetup.exe - Will not install the ConfigMgr 2012 R2 CU3 Client Agent. Logs Listed.

I have been diagnosing a few ConfigMgr logs and I discovered a few things that sparked my interest like "Reseting the WMI Repository", "Checking the WMI Namespace", and "CCMClean.exe Tool and Re-run CCMSetup.exe".
None of the above had any effect on the client's workstation. So, I figured that if I can't figure it out, I will find a MVP or ConfigMgr Admin who has remediated this issue.

If you can help me solve this issue, you would be much appreciated. :)

The FSP error is showing because our "ConfigMgr Engineers" said we didn't need it enabled. So we have our clients looking for a FSP that isn't even enabled on the ConfigMgr server.
Yes, that's not the point though. ccmsetup will try to send a message to the FSP after a failure and the thing that happens, as mentioned, right before it tried to send a message is to update the security on the ccmsetup folder which implies something went
wrong when it tried to do this.
Have you disabled your AV or other local products that may interfere with local security?
