Status remains as Yellow, for no data

hi ,
in our master data load process chain, a datasource which has 0 records in the sourcesystem returns 0 records in BI. but the status remains as yellow , instead of green.
since the status is yellow the next process is not getting triggered. only if we manually change the status to green, the process chain continues. wht shall we do to change the status to green automatically.

Hi DOLLY,
you need to cofigure a small setting at Infopackage for this.
RSA1-> infopackage -> scheduler -> Trafic light color for Empty request -> select green and save it.
for 0 to 0 records load will show as Green.

double clicjk on this it will takes to you in to the chain individually .Then check the
process ..
Or go to <b>RSPC</b> check wher exactly the chain is kicking.Then check the monitor
status of that particular process .This monitor u can achieve By double clicking on
the process-->it will show u a popup in that click on monitor.and then depends on t
the issue u can work and repeat .

Invalid program status: Different value types for a data cell!

When executing a query from our portal, the above mentioned error occurs. When the same query is executed in the BW system from RSRT, the output is shown as it should be. What could cause this error on the portal side?
The exception also shows this: "com.sap.ip.bi.webapplications.runtime.controller.MessageException: Error while generating HTML"
Both the portal and the BW system are at Support Package Stack 10.

Monitor status is yellow for many days

Hi All,
I am extracting data from CRM and when I try to extract data for both master data objects and cubes, the monitor status is in yellow for many hours and not getting changed.
Result: data is not come to BW.
Observation:
1) In source system the job is not getting started for ALEREMOTE_CR user and always in ready mode.
2) In monitor screen in BW when I click on OLTP push button, system not allowing me to enter in to Source system and saying check the connection parameters. (Source system connection check is OK)
Kindly look in to this and feel free to contact me for any explanation is required.

Hi,
I will suggest you to check a few places where you can see the status
1) SM37 job log (In source system if load is from R/3 or in BW if its a datamart load) (give request name) and it should give you the details about the request. If its active make sure that the job log is getting updated at frequent intervals.
2) SM66 get the job details (server name PID etc from SM37) and see in SM66 if the job is running or not. (In source system if load is from R/3 or in BW if its a datamart load). See if its accessing/updating some tables or is not doing anything at all.
3) RSMO see what is available in details tab. It may be in update rules.
4) ST22 check if any short dump has occured.(In source system if load is from R/3 or in BW if its a datamart load).
5) SM58 and BD87 for pending tRFCs
Once you identify you can rectify the error.
If all the records are in PSA you can pull it from the PSA to target. Else you may have to pull it again from source infoprovider.
If its running and if you are able to see it active in SM66 you can wait for some time to let it finish. You can also try SM50 / SM51 to see what is happening in the system level like reading/inserting tables etc.
If you feel its active and running you can verify by checking if the number of records has increased in the new data table.

Request Status for Master Data Attributes Load

Dear All,
We are trying to load attribute master data and volume of which is relatively huge around 10,000 records.
We are facing challenge while updating attribute data from master data info object , the load status remains in yellow status and when we went to details screen it states that data is transfered to transfer rule . ( it has been loaded successfully in to PSA).
Could anybody please give some hint on this challenge ??

You are right, as number of records are more , i have chosen update of "Only PSA" and then "Subsequently in Data Targets".
I tried other option also which is infopackage schedule "Execute in Back ground" and
"Request batch process runs untill all data is updated in BW". And process went in to infinite loop.
Some how i am not able to track out why the request status is not changing .

PSA load remains in yellow status.

Hi Gurus,
I have created a generic datasource based on function module.
I have replicated the datasource in SAP BI dev instance.
I have even checked the extractor checker in R/3 and it shows 381 records.
On BI side I am loading data upto PSA.When I execute the infopackage for full load in the monitor screen I could see
"381 out of 0 records".The request remains in yellow status.
The idoc status in source system side is 03 and on BI side is 53.
I dont get any error message.Even I am not seeing idocs with red status in SM58 tcode.No logs are seen in sm21.
I even asked the basis team to check for RFC connection SM59 and partner profile.Every thing looks fine .
This loading issue is only happening with this specific datasource(ie datasource created on function module).
For other datasources load are carried out fine.
Has anybody faced a similar issue?.Please help in this regard.

Process the idocs manually. after
check the below things
--> Check weather the source system job finished or not?
If the job is finished check the TRFCs are processed or not?
In the monitor screen - menu bar --environment -->job overview (to check the job) -->TRFcs - to check the TRFCs.
Check for short dumps using transaction ST22.
-->Check for the Idocs in BD87 and if there are any IDOCs got stuck process them manually.
To process Idocs first change the status of request to red and try to process them in the background.

Advaned warning for due date based on statuses

Hi,
While searching transactions, for the due date some icons are coming like(green squere, yellow triangle, tick mark, grayed dimond) and so on.
can I maintain these icons based on statuses. Presently tick mark is coming for one of the statuses maintained in the status management. But for this we didn't maintained any configuration settings at IMG --> CRM --> Interaction center Web client --> Agent Inbox --> Map item attributes to inbox Attributes --> Define advanced warning for due date.
Required quick response as it is business critical requirement.

The event 1330 has a sample FM FKK_SAMPLE_1330. It doesnt even have a Standard Function Module.
You need to create a Installation-Specific FM and put your code to determine the Due Date based on the logic.

I am getting status yellow for request in bi after scheduling info package ( after migeration of data source)
and in short dump of dataware house work bench I am getting following error : CONNE_IMPORT_WRONG_COMP_TYPE

Modeling "Status" for transaction data in a cube

Hello all,
I saw this thread created sometime ago about putting status in a cube.
How to model Status filed
I would like model a status of transactions within a cube. One suggestion was to just create a CHAR characteristic of a certain length (I assume this would be in the E and F fact tables and not with the master data at all).
To me, this would mean that if the status changed, a whole new row would have to be loaded - and the old row removed? Would one use some kind of selective deletinon?
It seems that a navigational attribute would be best placed in the E/F fact tables.

@kkc - thanks for the reply but I already knew about the E and F fact tables - I just did not know that compression takes care of the status field
@Wond - Above you said "Yes it will be a whole new record will be sitting in the cube, once the status changes the cube will have three records when doing compression the two will wipe out itself and you will remain with one."
So how does it decide which record stays around? By the loading date? Also, is there any good documentation out there that would say this?

Wait for Session Data status does not change in EWA

The hour glass next to the early watch alert in the solution manager system has the status "wait for session data". The SDCCN in the satellite system has the RFC configured correctly and the RFC is working fine when tested. I have installed the latest ST-PI and ST-A/PI for my basis release 640 on the satellite system. The basis release of the solution manager is 701. The self diagnosis button in solution manager does not list any errors or warnings for that satellite system.
There are no errors in the task Refresh Session task in the satellite system's SDCCN:
Refresh of session overview started from destination SM_R3SCLNT001_BACK
> Sessions are up to date
Refresh of session overview completed from destination SM_R3SCLNT001_BACK

Hello, I've got the same problem, went through the note, but it didn't solve my problem.
Here I can say, that several points from the note are NOT clear (typically SAP...):
I am falling in the category with ST-PI ... or newer.
- SDCCN:
Delete any task 'Maintenance Package' in the 'To do' tab.
Ensure that no connection to SAP is maintained in:
SDCCN-> Goto -> Settings -> Task specific -> RFC destinations.
<so I deleted all the RFCs in that location>
Ensure that connection 'NONE' is maintained, and that the 'master' flag is set.
<surprisingly, now there is a connection that has to be maintained!! Also the 'master' flag is always grayed out for me and never clickable!!>
Create a new periodic task 'Maintenance Package'.
<Not working, until I added back my SM_<SID>CLNT<No>_BACK connection>

Re-import the service definitions, c)
They are saying how to setup the destinations, but NOT how to import the service definitions!

With it, I could transfer the data to the solution manager, but I can only see 'Data is available', when I click it and tell it to start the job, SM:EXEC SERVICES 000000000400100 runs for 6-7 seconds and completes successfully, though the EWA report still says 'Data is available', but no report is being generated. I also re-executed the job SM:EXEC SERVICES and still nothing.

Looking at the question the first thing that comes to my mind is what is the organization structure that you are following .
As you have mentioned that you have used segment insted of profit center for splitting , what is the scope of profit center in your implementation .
in implementations where locations are devided as profit centes it becomes very necessary to mandatorily split the documents based on profit center .
in your case as you have set it as segment i dont find it an issue of you keeping it as optional as it will not give you and error during your operations , as you have made profit center optional in splitting charcteristics .
hope this suffices .

Essbase Analytics for HFM- Data Update Agent Status

In Essbase Analytics for HFM, Data Update Agent status is showing 'Not Active', so as 'Analytic Link Data' status.
The Start/Stop option for the same is disabled. Other connectivity statuses in Bridge are all 'Available'.
What needs to be done to make Data Update status 'Active'.

Datasource 0UC_SWTMSGDATA - request remains in yellow state

hi all,
we are using the datasource 0UC_SWTMSGDATA to extract message data for the switch documents.
every time we scheduled the infopackage to load data into sap bi, the datasource extracts all data records to the bi.
but at the end, when all records arrived at bi, the request remains in yellow state.
do you have the same problem? what's the reason?
we are already using the datasource 0UC_SWTDOC, it works fine.

Hi,
You have to check the job status in SM37 in R/3 system. If it shows "Active mode", then you will be getting Yellow color in BW. You may have to wait till the job gets finished in R/3.
Sometimes, transferring I-Docs take time.

Process chains for loading data to target is not functioning

Hi SAPians,
Recently, we have upgraded the firmware on IBM P590 with the help of IBM on Saturday i.e. 06/12/2008 (The firmware of P5-590 was SF235_209. It was upgraded to SF240_XXX) and since then the process chains for loading data to targets are not functioning properly. We have stopped all the SAP services, database services & OS services from our end and services have been rebooted after firmware upgrade.
However, the problem with the process chains that load transaction data and hierarchies is solved but the chains that load master data are still not working as scheduled.
We tried to load the master data manually, by running DTP to load data to an object analysis code (attributes) the request remained YELLOW. After refreshing it several times, the request turned into RED. The error message was - PROCESSING TERMINATED (screenshot 1 attached).
To mitigate this we tried deleting the bad request and it prompted with the below message:
"Cannot lock request DTPR_4C37TCZGDUDX1PXL38LVD9CLJ of table ZANLYSIS for deletion (Message no. RSMPC178)" (screenshot 2 attached)
Please advise us how the bad request should be deleted?

Hi Sowjanya,
Follow the below procedure to make yellow request to RED:
Use SE37, to execute the function module RSBM_GUI_CHANGE_USTATE
From the next screen, for I_REQUID enter that request ID and execute.
From the next screen, select 'Status Erroneous' radiobutton and continue.
This Function Module, change the status of request from Green / Yellow to RED.
Once it is RED, you can manually delete that request...
Releasing LocK
Gott Transaction Code SM12 and release the lock.

Asset Tables for legacy data takeover

Dear Friends
We've to take assets data from one client to another and hence would be using Legacy assets.
Could you please let me know from which tables / reports i should extract the data related to master & transaction data from the legacy system which is also on SAP.
ANLA - master data and to take those assets which are not deactivated
ANLB
ANLC - asset accumulated APC & dep. And current yr dep
ANLZ - dep terms data
ANEP - asset transaction data for current year acquisitions
I dont have the system in from of me and i hope the above tables are correct.
1. Please let me know if other tables are required?
2. Should the dep area data be posted with remaining useful life & expired life in legacy asset?
