Std text misalignment

Hi all,
I have a std text which i have include in the element 'Last Page Phrases' (main window) the text is printing in two pages .
Now the problem is in the first page it is printing correctly where as in the second page it is overlapping in the 'Item header' In the Main window.
Could any body help how this has to overcome

Hi Ravi,
Copy the second page from first page. Right click first page and copy that to second page.
In output options tab select what things you would want in both pages and what values you would want only in first or second page.
This should solve the problem.

I need to trigger an idoc via change pointers when any change in a std text occurs. I am doing this for changes in Customer Master. For example, if the std text obtained via tcode XD02 is changed, then I need to trigger an idoc. Is this possible? What is the object class used?

Hi,
All Standard text views are stored in V_E071.
Use the View for V_E071 for checking standard text transport
Give Object Filed Name = TEXT and check
And search the standard object
Go to se09 create workbench request and
Double Click the request and go to program give R3TR and Object: TEXT and object Name: TEXT, Nike_FT_AB_4700, ZEPC, D
Object: TEXT
Where Nike_FT_AB_4700 is Customized Name of Standard Text
Text Id: ZEPC (Default: ST)
Language: D (DE)
Go to SE03 double click the Search for Objects in Requests/Tasks in the
R3TR Object ; TEXT and do search.. with respective to that you will get change request.
Do rewards points.

How to include std text(Created in So10) in text node?

Hello,
How to include the Standard Text( created in So10 ) into Text Node.
I had typed the Standard text name in the TEXT NAME : ZXXX
      Text Object : TEXT
       TEXT ID : ST
      LAnguage : &CONTROL_PARAMETERS-LANGU&
But, I am unable to look at that particular text in the smart form. I am receiving an error message : "UNable to load the data into front end. ....etc"
It is taking me away to the initial screen.
PLz help!
ANy suggestion will be appreciated.

I need to include the Standard text created in so10 into a text node in the Smart form.
In samrt form, I had created a Text Node.
In General attributes from the Drop Down menu
--> I had selected INClude Text
--> It has asked me TExt name : ZXXX (Name of the STD text create din so10)
                     Text Obje : TExt
                     Text ID   : ST
                     Language : &CONtrol_Parameters-LANGU&
           It is even activated without any errors. But, it does not display the Text written in the Standard Text. Is there any way that I can include the Standard text into the Text node.......
ANy suggestions will be appreciated...

Smartforn Std text Paragraph format not getting picked up

Hi,
   I have to include Standard texts from SO10 in my smart forms. I am using Incude Text option. The issue is that my std texts are dynamic ( I pass std text name in the form ) and hence it has many paragraph formats. When I run my form I get the result in default para format. If i create a para format in my style then it takes that in output but the issue is that the std texts are dynamica and can have many para formats. I cannot define all the para formats in my smartstyle and If i dont define in my style is does not pick the para format from std text. It works in script but not in smartforms. Pls help

When customHandler is called , it shows alert as "AdfRichCommandButton [oracle.adf.RichCommandButton] id=emT:dummyB1" so i guess it got the handle of button. but call to action - "#{viewScope.TargetHandlerBean.destinationPage}" never happens.
Any idea what i am doing wrong?

Header Text Misalignment?

I tried to search Discussions for this problem but it's hard for me to properly describe. In both the preview pane and a "full display" message window, the text comprising the displayed headers is misaligned. Next to the top line ("From:") the tops of the text and even the "@" are slightly cut off ... and the when I move my mouse over names recognized as in my Address Book, the text also protrudes from the top of the blue highlight/shading.
As far as I know, I have not changed fonts or sizes within the program. Any ideas as to why this sort of global-within-Mail-headers text misalignment would suddenly appear and how I can fix it?

Thanks to those who replied. I wanted to take a couple minutes to tell you how I fixed the problem. Of course I first I reviewed the links given on this page about Font Book, disabling duplicate fonts, re-installing, etc. Frankly, it scared the bejeepers out of me. I'm only a year into Mac and this all sounded way too scary for my shallow end of the pool. So I took my computer to the Apple Store for my end-of-the-year ProCare tune-up and showed them the "font alignment" problem within Mail. (I found out later it was also happening in TextEdit though it was harder to see.) After two days, I returned to the Apple Store to get the computer and was simply told "No Solution Found". That, apparently, was that. I was really dismayed. I had recently installed a 30-Day trial version of Quark Express so that I could view some circa-1997 files for a project I'm working on. Quark Express was specifically mentioned in some of my reading as sometimes causing conflicts or coruption of font files. I even had the Work Order written to authorize an uninstall of Quark Express to see if it was the culprit. My machine came back with Quark still there. I was still convinced that it might be Quark and I uninstalled it myself. Problem still there. Then it hit me ... the old files I dumped onto my computer had a FONTS folder that was full of older fonts keyed into the artwork ... many designated as PostScript-type. So I went to that Folder in a Finder window, printed out a list (using PrintWindow ... a handy little item) and promptly looked up all the fonts in Spotlight. I deleted all of the old artwork folders. The older fonts that remained were all in my User/Library/Fonts folder. I sorted the fonts by date, took all the circa '97 fonts (then found out they were all PostScript) ... dragged them to a folder on my Desktop and rebooted. And ... voila ... problem solved. So while I'd like to think I'm not too cocky about this whole deal, I was able to sort out the problem that an Apple Store tech could not. Maybe I'm taking baby steps in learning how to think Mac after all! Maybe I got lucky, but it was certainly a nicer outcome than "No Solution Found"!

SO10 Standard text unable to create std text

Are the changes not reflecting or are they not getting updated? Please be specific.
On more question, do you have separate dev & testing clients? And you're changing the ST in dev client & when checking in testing client the changes are not reflected!

SO10 std text problem

i have created a std text using SO10 in a development client.
When i test it in another client , the std text is not there
But usually we do developement in a client and do testing in
another client without transporting
For this standard text , its not available there
What is the posssible causes for this ?

I RAN RSTXTRAN TO TRANSPORT STD TEXT TO ANOTHER CLIENT, BUT AFTER RUNNING NOTHING HAPPENED.
THE TC ASKED NAME OF CORRECTION AND OBJECT NAME?? AND THE NEXT SCREEN SHOWED PROVISINAL LIST OF TEXT TO BE TRANSPORTED.
SO MY QUESTION IS :
WHAT I HAVE TO DO IN RSTXTRAN, SO THAT STD TEXT IN 800 CLIENT WILL GO TO (OR COPY TO) CLIENT 900.??
I WANT TO COPY STD TEXT FROM ONE CLIENT TO ANOTHER??? PL PROVIDE FULL PROCEDURE.

Hi,
Create a work bench CR in the transaction SE09..
Modify the task to Development correction / Repair..
Go to the program RSTXTRAN..
In the name of correction give the task number (Not the CR number)
Give the Text Key..Your standard text name..
Press F8...
Press select all..
Then Press enter..
Then press the button "Trsfr texts to corr".
Now the standard texts will be moved to a CR..
Then release the CR and move it to QA..

Text misaligns when a pdf preview is created

Some headings on a page that appear correctly aligned on my monitor screen become misaligned when I make a preview pdf of a book. No matter what adjustments I make the text does not correct yet the opposite page with a similar layout is fine. The text was moved in from the edge of the text box to line up with an image but otherwise is standard.Any suggestions?

I used the spacebar to shift it across so you are probably right - there must be a change in the proportionality when text is moved away from the edge of a text box.Curiously though this does not show up on screen. I sent two screen capture shots to show what was happening to Print Services (who were sceptical) and they agreed that something is obviously happening in the background that does not show on screen. By to and fro ing between the preview pdf and screen text I can now just about get everything right, but the screen text then looks off. Crude, but I can't see any other solution.

Display of special character u0151 through std. text

Hi,
I want to display a special character <h3>ő</h3> through standard text. But when I enter the character into the text it automatically removes the double quotes with simple character "O".
The same is working fine in other system.
Any pointers will be helpful.

Weird, system-wide text misalignment

I've got this issue that shows symptoms in a couple of places. First, it affects Dashboard. A prime example of this is the large numeral denoting the current date in the calendar widget. So today it's a large "7". The number itself has shifted upwards inside the widget, so instead of being split in half by the line, it's split at the bottom of the number.
Secondly, it affects iPhoto. In Events view, the name of each event has shifted upwards as well, so the top half of the words are on top of the event thumbnail itself.
I'm sure it is visible other places as well, but these two are the ones I notice all the time.
FWIW, new accounts do not show this problem. I logged in with the Guest account and the dashboard calendar widget looked normal as did iPhoto, so this is a user-specific issue.
Can anybody help me figure out what the root cause of this issue is?

Turns out the myriad variations of Helvetica Neue I had installed were confusing the system. It is annoying, however, that now I have fewer variations of Helvetica Neue to use (these are extreme variations, like Black Condensed Oblique, and Extra Black Extended Oblique), but instead of deleting them, I just disabled them so if I have the urge I can use them later if I want.

Text of Std. Text Key in Routing operation

Hi friends,
I am facing a problem in the operation in Routing.
I have defined a standard text key in CA10. If I assign the standard key in the Default tab in Work center and select the Work center in routing against the particular operation, the std. text key is coming automatically BUT the text in the std. text key is not getting displayed in the Description section against the operation.
But if I do not assign the std. text key in the work center and manually select the std. text key in the operation..... the text maintained in the std. text key, is getting displayed in the Description section against the operation.
I failed to make out the reason for this difference. If the std. text key maintained in the WC is getting picked up along with the WC in the opration then why the text is not getting dispalyed in the DESCRIPTION section ?
secondly, There is no where, where the text of the Work Center ( name of the WC) is getting reflected against the operation.
Is there any report where we can get the description of the WC or that of the Std. text key against the operation ?

Its a simple problem you have maintained the standard text key and its description, but not the long text. All that you need to do is in CA10 transaction enter the standard text key and click the pencil like Icon for change, then in the next screen which appears like a word pad maintain the text which you want to appear in the operation description when used.
Example:
Standard Text Key:
XXXXXXX - Turning Operation
Turning operation using CNC Machine.

Changing text into dunning letter

Decimal for a weight field and form calc on a table - header text

Hi Guys,
Need your help on 4 issues I am facing.
1) I am using a Quantity field and till interface the value is 100.000 but in adobeform print its showing 100. How to get decimals printed.
2) in item details there is a another quantity field and in old script its printed as &VBPLP-VEMNG&(7.0) but the field length is 12 and 3 decimals. If I am directly making limit leading digits to 7 then in output the values is printed as 0.
3) In item details printing there is a last field weight which is also decimal field. user wants to print this field value text(Weight) only when a text field value has "X". I got it perfectly getting printed if value is "X" and is not getting printed when its space. but the issue is the text weight is not getting printed only at first page and for subsequent pages the weight is getting printed. In what event I have to write the code for this scenario and currently I had written code in initialize.
Item Layout :
If a value of interface field is "X" the output should be
ID | Material no | PO no | SO no | Qty | unit | Weight |
If the value of interface field is " " the output should be
ID | Material no | PO no | SO no | Qty | unit |
4) After completion of item details there is a requirement to print 2 standard texts. If 1st standard text has no value then it should print space and the next standard text text and value should move up and display. currently i had kept text1,std text value1,text2,std text value2 in flowed subform only.

The issue got solved. I am sharing the solution so that it may be useful for others.
1) solved by using pattern - num{$z,zzz9.999}
2) not necessary
3) In Pagination tab of header - you need to check the check box - keep previous , keep next.
4) have to make the text box to fit a single line and check box multiple lines and keep each standard text in a flowed sub form. Now if 1 st standard text is blank then second standard text will come up.

Text elements transport

i have a report in one for which there are text elements. now i have to transport these text elements to another system, please give me the procedure to transport these. (pls note i cannot change abd save these text elements in the present system, by which i can assign a req number)

Go to the your standrd txt(so10) in the sytem which you have developed(1st system). Make some corrections.
go to se10 -> create a Workbench request..note down the TP number.
Then Exe the program RSTXTRAN (SE38) , there you give ...
Name of Correction : your TP number
Text key - object : TEXT
Text key - name : your Standard txt name (which you hav created in so10).
Text key - ID : ST
Text key - language : EN
If you excute this, your std text will be packed up with your TP no.
Thn goto SE10 -> release your TP. -> move it to subsquent systems...
