Std Value Exclusion in Scheduling :Considering Longest Set Up time

Greetings..
1.) I have one prodcuiton order , having Three opeartion.
each operation having setup time as
Op.1 - 150 min.
Op.2 - 50 min
Op.3 - 70 min
also having Machine time.
During scheduling result...set up time included in sheduling  each time when respective opeartion schedule.
Instaed can we suggest sytem to take longest set up time among all opeartion during scheduling ,
So while scheduling second & third opearation , it include only mahcine time & excluding set up time.
2.) Is it possible to do Scheduilng without considering one of std valu out of two mentined in routing ?? How?? ONly want set up time for costing purpose ???

Dear,
Ok then please try with remaning opertion's work center don't mainatian any formula for scheduling in work center and enter set-up value for all operation in routing so it will not include in the scheduling of operation.

  • Process Order detail scheduling picking the std values from Phase.

I'm working on an Implementation scenario, where the Master Recipe contains only one Operation and one phase. After the Process order is created the basic start and End dates remain same. I did check the formula in the resource(on testing its working fine). I did check the control key, formula parameters, scheduling parameters of the process order. I have maintained the std values in the phase appropriately.
Still the process order basic start/end dates are same, even though the process order quantity is of any quantity.
Request all to please provide some inputs.

  • Set Default Values on Purchasing Scheduling Agreements

    Good day All.
I need to ensure that the  Confirmation Control Key(EKPO-BSTAE) , Unlimited Over delivery indicator (EKPO-UEBTK), Creation Profile (EKPO-ABUEB) and Jit indicator (EKPO-FABKZ) is automatically updated with default values when a scheduling agreement is created for a specific purchasing organisation. Hi,
To set default values for screen painter parameters initialize the field names with default values in the PBO module....
say u have the field name as f_field1....
in the PBO of that screen initialize it....

  • Set up time not considered

    Hello ,
    I am using PP-PI.
The resource category is '001' machine and having std formulas 'sap001' for setup and sap002 for processing and other formula 'sap006'
The recipe has setup time and processing time .When i run MRP the planned orders are created  but no set up time is considered in it.
I tested the formula in resource and it calculates set up time.
What settings i need to check ?
Also, for the planned order , in det.scheduling tab system shows 'capacty requirments'(in min).
But this does not match with production dates.
    Example  - prod dates-  10.06.09 ( 14:00:00) to 24.06.2009(24:00:00) = 10*1440(days avlb capacity) + 14:00 =  14410 mins.
But the capacity req shown is 15000 mins( opr qty *processing time).
What settings i need to chk  ? kindly advise
    Regards
    ShankarR

    Shankar,
Have you maiantained the scheduling parameters  for planned order in OPU5?
If not then execute the same & under 'Detailed scheduling mark 'Scheduling' & 'Generate capacity requiremnt'.
Regarding the differnce in capacity requirement & scheduling, make sure you use similar formulas in scheduling as well as capacity tab page.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Formulae for 6 std values

    Dear friends,
I want to use 6 std. values for a work center. But in work center on cap. / scheduling screen we can write formula for 3 std. values only. How to write formula for the other 3 values?

    Hi Sandeep,
You have to create Standard value key with six standard values if you want.
For that first you need to create parameter like setup, machine, labor etc in transaction OP7B. (Path SPRO>Production>Basic data>Work center>General data>Standard value>Define parameters.
Then create standard value key. While creating the standard value key you will select the parameters you created.Path SPRO>Production>Basic data>Work center>General data>Standard value>Define standard value key). Tcode OP19
The formula you define in transaction OP21.(Path SPRO>Production>Basic data>Work center>Capacity planning >work center formulas>Define formula for work center
    Hope this is useful

  • How do I set a time value to a Time syntax attribute in eDirectory

I want to set a time value to an attribute in eDirectory defined as syntax Time. In the Resource referrence manual I can read that the schema mapping should be defined as Int for syntax Time. But further down in the manual the attribute Password Expiration Time is told to be defined as String in the schema mapping.
I have tried the both settings (int and string) but nothing will work. When trying to set a value to the Password Expiration Time I recieve the following error:
Unexpected type for attribute 'Password Expiration Time'. Received 'string'. Expected '0x18 (24)'
The value I try to set is: 20090122120000Z (this value is supported in the eDirectory manual)
    I´m using the NDS gateway.

  • Cost from a Pay App Schedule of Value to P6 Schedule Activity

Is there anyone that has attempted to push the cost and scheduled value from a payment application from several contracts to ONE activity ID? The results I get are illogical and hit-and-miss.
Ready to go back to manual input which is I don't believe was the intention when the Contract Management/P6 Cost connection was created.
    Rick
Edited by: RickS on Jul 11, 2011 8:47 PM

    OK. Got it.
    For those interested:
For each contract and unique payment application, there is a corresponding activity in P6 that serves as a budget bucket in the schedule under the expense tab with a one-to-one relationship. Each new Pay App will update the schedule 'Total Actual Expense' each time a new payment is collected and imported. Therefore, as the contract is spent, the actual expense in the P6 schedule reflects the same amount after an import form Contract Management to P6.
With this, the 'Stored Period Performance' function can be used along with a new monthly Cost-to-complete to store monthly activity progress. Then using the tracking function, PV, EV, Actual and planned cost can be viewed on a Gannt chart.
All said and done, there can be a responsibility given to an account person on the CM side and a forecasting/analysis responsibility on the P6 side.
I welcome further discussion from interested parties. email: [email protected]

  • Scheduling alternative date sets

Wouldn't it be nice if instead of automatically selecting the early start and finish dates on hitting F9/scheduling, you could pick from other date fields to chose which plan you'd like to see. For the purposes of creating a 3 point schedule for confidence modelling a schedule, I have entered dates for 'Best Case', 'Most likely' and 'Worst Case' into user defined text fields. It would be incredibly useful to schedule against these sets one by one to see the outcome. I don't want to have to create a copy of the whole date and call each one a What If. I'd like it all available from one plan at my fingertips.
Anyone know of a way of doing this using currently available versions of Primavera?
Anyone at Oracle care to include it in 8.3? It can't be that hard.

I have never used it before but what I think you want is http://www.oracle.com/us/products/applications/primavera/risk-analysis/overview/index.html

  • How can I set my time capsule to back-up only once a day?

How can I set my time capsule to only back-up once a day.  It appears to be backing up several times a day.  Not sure there is a set schedule for the back-ups and they take a great deal of time; over an hour each.

Then something is wrong.  Changing the schedule will only deal with the symptom (and give up one of the better features of Time Machine's usually quick and unobtrusive hourly backups).
See if the size of the backups makes sense, considering what you've changed since the previous one.  If it seems much too large, that may be the problem.  See #D4 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting for some common culprits and ways to see just what's going on.
If the sizes seem reasonable, see #D2 in the same link for things that can cause extra-slow backups.

  • How to manage a new Set Up time

I have a Client with a particular requirement to manage Set up time as a planning function. There requirement is that they Campaign a batch of 10 orders and say after every 5 Campaigns they want to manage a new Set Up time to reflect extra cleaning for example.  So the Standard Recipe Value for Set Up would be 10min but for this u2018Clean downu2019 it would be 60mins for example.
I was wondering how this can be managed.  I guess particularly what is the Recipe master data set up as there is only one field for the standard value/Set Up?
Does PPDS allow you in Scheduling to add an extra set up interactively as the Capacity Planning Table in ECC does not in PP-PI it does allow set up matrix in PP  GREAT!
One solution I did think of awas an Event Process order that would occupy the capacity/time but this would be a manual process.
    any thoughts community

May I change later the name SET 1 to other not so default name? How I input that on your script?
It would be better to name the ActionSet right away, but I frankly don’t know how.
Unfortunetly, I wanted to wait not 1 second but just stop there and continue the script after I press ESC. Not possible keyboard detection in the middle of a running script.
What exactly do you want to do while the Script halts? Would you need to zoom in and move the canvas around or do any other operations?
Well, this Set 1 will be erased at the end because I only need it to call fullScreen mode of an active image for a 1 or 2 seconds and then go back to normal view and also delete SET 1.
    Say what?
Full Screen Mode and Standard Screen Mode could be invoked from Script.
    var idslct = charIDToTypeID( "slct" );
    var desc69 = new ActionDescriptor();
    var idnull = charIDToTypeID( "null" );

    desc69.putReference( idnull, ref49 );

  • Is there a possibility should not consider available quantity at time of MR

    Sir,
Is there a possibility should not consider available quantity at time of MRP planning?
    Example:
    Available stock: 100
    Planning stock: 100 (MD61)
Schedule line to be generate: 100 Qty (Exclude the available quantity at time of MRP planning)
    regards,
    sampath

    Dear Sampath/Raj,
    1) Move the stock to particular storage location for which you don't want to be consider by MRP
    2) Now go to OMIR t-code, input value as 1 for that particular storage location
    3) Go to MMSC, input value as 1 for that particular storage location
    4) Go to MRP - 4 view Down you can find field Storage location input value as 1
    5) Now run MRP, system will not consider stock of that particular storage location

  • Can I use AI clcock config.vi to set external time base

    DAQ PCI-MIO-16XE-50 board
According to NI website, I can use "Alternate Clcok rate spec in AI clock config.vi" to set scan clock using external timebase. Does this method in fact change the DAQ cards Master Timebase?
According to NI, I can use RTSI to change the DAQ cards Master Timebase, then all on board clock will be based on the external timebase.
Do the two methods have the same result of changing the DAQ card Master Timebase?

    Hi May Lee,
I have some answers for you.
    (1) I've never used SISOURCE before, but if it was found on our website, it should work. Assuming SISOURCE accepts an external clock source, that is correct. Scan clock will be set as the external scan rate, and Traditional NI-DAQ will select the fastest channel clock possible except for a minimal 10 microsecond interchannel delay (to allow for settling time for the amplifier and any unaccounted factors). If the scan rate is too fast for Traditional NI-DAQ to apply the 10 microsecond delay and still sample every channel before the next scan clock, than the delay will not be added. Also, if you specify the channel clock rate, the delay is not added.
    (2) I'm confused what you mean by setting the channel clock using the internal timebase. If you use the internal timebase of 20MHz as your channel clock rate, this sets the interchannel delay at 50ns. To acquire accurate data, the signal must settle within an accuracy range before the A/D conversion takes place. This is called the settling time. Consult the settling time specifications of your device to see if it can acquire that quickly. Most boards typically have microsecond values.
If you're wondering about settling time issues with your board, consider the following. First, determine the maximum sampling rate and gains your application requires; you must select a DAQ board that settles to within your specifications. If you have a DAQ board already, which I think you do, run the DC or AC settling-time test to determine the settling time for your board. After you know the constraints of your DAQ board, consider the output impedance of your signals and arrange your signals if possible to minimize the swing in voltages between channels. Finally, select cables that are as short as possible with low resistance and capacitance. Using these guidelines, you can resolve all of your settling time concerns and be confident that your acquired data is accurate.
    (3) You can set the scan clock and channel clock based on external timebases using the AI clock config VI. You can input the timing signals on any PFI pin or select the I/O connector option which looks for the signals to be input on the PFI pin dedicated for its output.
I've included an example from a PowerPoint presentation below. Let me know if this doesn't resolve the issue,
