My Adobe formserver log(x:\jboss-3.2.5\server\formserver\log\server.log)
is flooded with the following messages..

This is Windows 98, you say, so that means there isn't much in the way of user security on it. The only way I can think of that you could get that message when trying to write a file First.class is that First.class already exists, but it's read-only so you can't delete it to make way for the new version.

These error messages are typically pretty obvious with permission errors. It's getting the correct permissions that is the challenge. I would suggest you start by adding the user whom is in your IT Resource for Active Directory into the local administrators group for the server you are trying to create the folder on. Also, consult with your AD Admins to get it resolved the quickest most likely. Their skill set will be better than what we can provide.

Pls help, (Access is denied) error when file upload to a local directory

Hi, I've been stuck on this for the past few days and I am quite new at developing web application.
Here is the problem that I am having, I don't know why it keeps on saying "access is denied" when I can see that the file is uploaded to the directory. I am developing a JSP page file upload using Jakarta Fileupload v1.2. However, every time when I try to upload a file to a local path (e:\temp) on the server I keep getting this problem. I even try looking into the server.policy file on glassfish but no luck, your help is appreciated thanks

Typically in a Web Container, applications are deployed to a folder called webapps (this is the case in Tomcat, I'm not sure about Glassfish)
So the directory structure is something like C:/Tomcat/webapps/MyApplication/other folders......
When you upload a file , you normally can upload it only to a folder under your application and not to a folder outside the application.
First you can try to upload the file to a folder under the webapp and not outside the webapp, once you get that to work --- then internally in the Servlet you can write code to save the file to any directory on the server, but the Servlet must be located on the server.

I cannot open files - they come up with an error opening this file - access denied. Help!

Hi - Strangely enough the files opened the very next time I tried! It
must be my fickle computer! My Adobe is quite new so I do not think it is
outdated.

If it's a POP account and you set it up in Mail with the option to delete read messages from the server, then you can indeed no longer read it on the server. You may be able to restore the messages to the server if you also have IMAP access. Ask your mail service provider whether it's possible.

You probably have the Voiceover accessibility feature turned on. It's difficult to navigate as you need to use specific voiceover gestures. The easirest thing to do is connect the phone to iTunes. Since then no acces to apple id, not even via forgot my id site. It says that my apple id and birth date details do not match. Something is obviosly totally wrong. Got a visa card recently, is that the reason? Cannot get a new apple id with my real address as the systems says its already used. Pls help, I am vey frustated that this can happen.

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.

Pls help me: about log in

I have a created a dynamic page (PHP and mysql) with log in
(server vehaviour) page. and after user had enter their username
and password, if succeed they go to new page. in this new page ,
they can submit news. and my big problem is (sorry iam new bie) how
i can get their username in this new page that they had entered in
log in page, i want to search id_user in tabel1( field: id_user,
username, password) with their username and after got it , i want
to insert this id_user into table2 (filed: id_user, no_news,
date_news, news ). I hope my explaination will be understood. tks 4

2004 User
Authentication server behaviors when used in conjunction with
PHP5.
Basically, the problem is that the DW server behaviors use
obsolete code
that appears to work with PHP4, but breaks once deployed on
PHP5 (with
register_globals set to the default off setting).
I have notified Macromedia of the problem, and they have
logged it as a high
severity bug, but have given no indication as to when a patch
will be
issued. Fortunately, the solution is easily fixed by hand.
The server
behaviors affected are Log In User and Log Out User.
Log In User needs changes in two places, plus the removal of
three lines.
Find the following lines of code
