Steganography implemented in Java with QIM Dither

Hello wondering if anybody can advise me on how to get started with this ?
I am starting a project where using Steganography as digital watermarking tool to insert text into an image.
I am using the quantization index modulation method with the colt maths package to implement the equations required. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Tom

TomAlthough not quite understanding what you ask, does it really have to do with 3D? Isn't that rather closer to 2D imaging, or "algorithms" for the calc... part? -> You might get bether (more?) answer there?

    G'day
    I'm the author of the aforementioned steganography tool, the Digital Invisible Ink Toolkit. None of the techniques in the tool use QIM Dither Modulation, but they filter the image using edge detecting filters and use those filtered areas first - making it much much harder to tell where it is hidden.
    If you're planning on writing an algorithm for steganography, and are happy to use the StegoAlgorithm interface in the tool, I'd love to include it with the program. My contact details are on the website, http://diit.sourceforge.net

      I read a document which says Adobe Flex Builder is not been included part of shipment of NW. So not lots of documents available. Yet with WDA, some tutorials and blogs are available. Similar application can be developed using WDJ. Please check these.

  • Accessing BAPI's using JAVA with out using webdynpro URGENT

    hi Experts,
    What is the procedure for calling RFC/BAPI's using JAVA with out using the webdynpro. Please let me know what are the possibilities with step by step implementation.
    Regards
    Vijay

    Hi Boris Rubarth,
    Thaks for relavant information.
    I have kind of the requirement. The clinet is asking for connecting the SAP RFC using java application. The build Jar or .war or .Ear for which are going to develop should be compatible for running on any of the Applications server like they have Tom cat, weblogic, websphere server.
    so the .jar for or .ear file which we are going to develop should be able to run accessing the RFC/ BAPIs from any of these servers other than SAP WAS that is what their target.
    Please give me your suggestion, which is better approach. currently their SAP system is 4.6c . So presently it is not possible the webservice approach. But they have plans to go for upgrade to ECC6.0
    In that case only JCO option is possible. If use this option . Is it possible to access application which is deployed irrespective of the WAS by doing the required configuration.
    Basically i am aware of the ABAP webservice work bech steps and also the JAVA coding also.
    Please suggest me what is the better way to achieve this.
    Regards

  • How to implement a java application in Portal

    Hello,
    I was asked if it is possible to implement a java (not a web application / not java web dynpro) to implement into the portal. Is this possible with something like the java web start? Is someone using something like that in the real world?
    Thanks a lot,
      Vanessa

    Hi Vanessa.
    Yes, it is possible to integrate Java applets into portal. Have a look at XML Form Buider or SAP Management console (http://portalhost.domain:5xx13).

  • Implementing a java connector

    Has anyone tried implementing a JCA Resource Manager the would integrate into a J2EE server for communication with a remote server?
    I'm thinking about implementing one for connectivity with an Http server....
    Has anyone tried something of this sort?

    Hi,
    we are currently implementing a Java connector for the X11 windowing system and we're running into trouble with event handling.
    What we are doing is to fork a thread from the main application that will then invoke a native event handling loop that will listen for X11 events. Whenever such an event occurs, it will call back to a Java object to report that event.
    While receiving and reporting events works fine, any successive calls from the main thread to the native windowing functions will block the program.
    Let me outline the call order again:
    1. Java application is started, main thread created
    2. New Java thread is started that invokes a native method that itself runs in a while loop
    3. Normal program flow continues in the main Java thread
    4. Main Java thread now calls some native method, and locks up
    Any idea why this is happening? Is it not possible to invoke the same native code within two distinct Java threads? I have looked into the JNI functions AttachCurrentThread and DetachCurrentThread, but they only seem to handle the problem that two native threads share the same JVM, but that's not what we need. We have two Java threads that need to share the same native code.Are you sure its not a problem with the something in the X11 code being non-reentrant?

  • Implementation of search with filters

    Can anybody help me to implement the search with filterexpression? I believe there was an implementation somewhere, but I can't find it one the web now.

    Check out this page on the JNDI Tutorial web-site

    It shows you the syntax of filter expressions and some sample code!

  • Implementing a Webservice with AXIS, which calls CORBA objects

    Hi @all!
    First my aim is it to invoke a Webservice by a Client. As toolkit for developing this Webservice I use AXIS 1.0. This Webservice in turn should establish a CORBA connection to a third application.
    A direct access to the CORBA objects without the AXIS Webservice works fine. The Webservice without the Corba access is also running errorfree.
    When trying to implement a Webservice with AXIS, which calls CORBA objects following fault was generated:
    "internal Server Error(500)".
    Are there known problems with AXIS in conjunction with CORBA?

    Okay here's the error log file:
    1000 of lines, which aren't very helpful for me.
    As ORB I use JacORB.

  • Java with Matlab??

    Hi, Im new in this group. I try to connect a Java interface with matlab, i use JBuilder and i try to use ActiveX but JBuilder 5.0 dont support ActiveX. How can i do it?
    Excuse me for my bad English.

    You could just use the extern part of Matlab to implement an external invocation of the Matlab engine from a C or Fortran program.
    Now if you wrap this C implementation in Java through the JNI you would be able to invoke Matlab functions directly from Java.
    The other way around is directly supported from Matlab 5.3 and up.

  • Implementing a controller with servlets

    Hi,
    Im new to java and i want to implement a controller with servlets. This controller is responsable for initiate some stuff and redirect to the correct JSP file.
    That is a better way to doing this besides if()'s:
    String action = request.getParameter("action");
    if (action.equals("new")) {
        response.sendRedirect("/new.jsp");
    } else if (action.equals("save")) {
        response.sendRedirect("/savejsp");
    } else {
        response.sendRedirect("/list.jsp");
    }thanks

    this looks like a fine way to do what you described. Another possibility is to extract the controller to a support class and point the requests to different servlets.

  • Can' t connect Java with MySQL

    My goal is to connect Java with MySQL. I found many solutions on Internet, but I always get the same mistake:
    SQLException: No suitable driver
    SQLState: 08001
    VendorError: 0MySQL works fine alone or with php.Only thing left me to think is that the installed versions are not compatible for this mysql-connector-java-5.0.4
    I don't believe that could be a reason.
    Installed versions are:
    Apache Tomcat 5.5.20 Server
    Apache HTTP Server 2.2.4
    PHP 5.2.0
    MySQL 5.2
    jre 1.5.0_11
    jdk1.5.0_11
    Apache Tomacat JK2 connector Version: 1.2.20 File Name: mod_jk-apache-2.2.3.so
    mysql-connector-java-5.0.4
    I also set connector in class path: C:\mysql-connector-java-5.0.4;C:\mysql-connector-java-5.0.4\mysql-connector-java-5.0.4-bin.jar;C:\mysql-connector-java-5.0.4\src\com\mysql\jdbc
    For installation I used manulas from:
    http://apacheguide.org/jsp.php
    http://doc.51windows.net/mysql/?url=/MySQL/ch23s03.html
    Here is also a test code in java:
    import java.sql.Connection;
    import java.sql.DriverManager;
    import java.sql.SQLException;
       public class Connect
           public static void main (String[] args)
               Connection conn = null;
               try {
        conn =
           DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:mysql://localhost/first_test" +
                                       "user=monty&password=greatsqldb");
        // Do something with the Connection
    } catch (SQLException ex) {
        // handle any errors
        System.out.println("SQLException: " + ex.getMessage());
        System.out.println("SQLState: " + ex.getSQLState());
        System.out.println("VendorError: " + ex.getErrorCode());
       }i'm desperate, please help or tell me someone who'll know the answer.
    Thank You in advance

    hey buddy .. it seems yr code is wrong .. in getconnection () method u should also specify the port ,which u r not doing ...
    the default port for MySQL is 3306 ... see below i am giving you a sample code ... its working fine .. and dont forget to put the MySQL driver jar path in to classpath and also copy the jar into common/lib folder of your tomcat ....
    import java.sql.Connection;
    import java.sql.DriverManager;
    import java.sql.ResultSet;
    import java.sql.SQLException;
    import java.sql.Statement;
    public class MySQLConnectionTest {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
    new MySQLConnectionTest().connTest();
    public void connTest() {
              String tableName = "portfolio"; //change as per setting
              String hostName = "10.81.9.39"; // please change for the target database ip or hostname
              String dbPort = "3306"; //change if not using the default
              String dbName = "tradingsystem"; //change as per the given DB name
              String username = "root"; //change as per setting
              String password = "password"; //change as per setting
              System.out.println("before try");
              Double data=0.0;
         Double data1=0.0;
              try {
    Class.forName("org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver");
                   System.out.println("before driver manager");
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:mysql://"+hostName+":"+dbPort+"/"+dbName, username, password);
    String query1 = "select * from "+tableName+" where User_id='trader1' and Stock_Type='Equity'";
    System.out.println("quesry1="+query1);
    Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
    ResultSet rs1 = stmt.executeQuery(query1);
    while(rs1.next())
         System.out.println("hiiiiii for rs1");
         System.out.println(rs1);
         Quantity=(Integer)rs1.getObject(5);
         MarketPrice=(Double) rs1.getObject(8);
         data=Quantity*MarketPrice;
         data1+=data;
         System.out.println("data1="+data1);
         i=0;
    rs1.close();
    stmt.close();
    conn.close();
    } catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
    e.printStackTrace(System.err);
    } catch (SQLException e) {
    e.printStackTrace(System.err);
    i hope it will work for u...

  • How to use Java with PL/SQL commands to send an email with attachment

    Apologizes in advance if this is the wrong place to ask the question.
    I need to use Java with PL/SQL commands to send an email with attachment. My java application runs from the command line and does some magic to gather info from an Oracle 11g db. If the DB has sendmail configured, I'd like to send the results of the data gathering as an attachment to the email addresses. I'm not sure how to do this. I've been reading up on on PL/SQL can send email with UTL_SMTP - with attachments. I'm just not sure how to translate that into being triggered by my Java application. Any suggestions or pointers on what I should read would be appreciated.
    Background - I've been programming in Java for 10+ years, but this is my first time using databases. I also have been on these forums for a long time, but lost my profile when it was switched to Oracle.
    Thanks for all help.

    The original requirements were put together and given to me, an Oracle newbie. They expected the Java app to use something intrinsic to Oracle and Unix sendmail. To solve my problem, I use a JDBC connection to run some SQL commands. I take that data, format it and send the results by email to the user. By default the requirement is to send it as an HTML attachment using Unix 'sendmail'. So I do that using Runtime exec. I have also added JavaMail functionality as an alternative to sendmail. It works great and as expected.Sounds like a reasonable solution.
    Note however that PL/SQL itself can send email. And PL/SQL can call unix sendmail too.
    However myself I would have done it in java with JavaMail.
