Configuration of Guided Procedures for Adobe Forms

we are about testing the Guided Procedures with Adobe Forms.

My problem now is the configuration and the understanding of the "Web Service Security" in the Visual Administrator.
In the mentioned guides above it is written to choose "SLD" for the URL and the following three values under "Synchronize with System Landscape":
System Name:
WS Name: {com.adobe/AdobeDocumentServices}{AdobeDocumentServicesAssembly.jar}
WS Port: {com.adobe/AdobeDocumentServices}{AdobeDocumentServicesAssembly.jar}ConfigPort_Document
Now my questions:
1. According to the guides it seems that the ADS must be installed on the same J2EE where the central SLD is running. Is that a must? I don´t hope so!
2. What do I have to take for ? The SID and machine of the SLD or of the J2EE where the ADS is installed (this would be my own Portal)?
3. My portal is of version Netweaver2004s SP10, my SLD ist of version 6.40 SP18.
Could this be a problem here?

Guided Procedures for Adobe form

Hi Friends,
I am current trying upload an adobe form to guided procedures.I have included a callable object of form -> interactive form into my action. But after finishing, when i try to run the process at runtime, the adobe form i uploaded didn't appear.

How to get app.processId from Guided Procedures? Please I need You help

I am not sure about the version. But you can follow the steps below.
1. Create a Web Dynpro Poroject (Ideally create a DC , but if you don't have NWDI setup a project will do).
2. Add reference to com.sap.security.api.jar and sap.comcafeugpapi.jar
3. Under WebDynpro References -> Library References add sap.com/cafeugp~api
4. Put following code in wdDoInit()

Applescript for QuickTime help needed.

I have some mkv files that I would like to re-encapsulate as mov files.
Through the GUI I would normally open the mkv in quicktime, then Save or Save As with self-contained option selected, and just hit enter. This would save the re-encapsulate the movie with no re-encoding to the same directory with the same filename, but now with the .mov extension. This works with no issues.
Now, I want to be able to automate this process, but the only thing I can't figure out is how to tell the movie to *save self contained* with the *+same name in the same directory+*.

Guided Procedures - for long life cycle processes ?

Not sure if this is the right forum, but my question is about using GP for a business process that we would expect to last more than a year from initiation to completion.
The feedback I'm getting (from SAP sources) is that GP are for "short term processes". I'm curious now as to why this should be. I didn't think it could be a technical limitation, because persistance could be achieved through a call via the CAF to the backend system.
And from my preliminary research in SDN, although simple scenarios are exampled, GP seems a product for the "front-end" (as opposed to ccBPM) where all types of cross application and ERP independant workflows resides.
Thoughts, anyone ?

Here's the scenario: I have to replace an existing change management workflow of regulatory approvals for pharmaceutical production. The point with these and other processes is that the activities happens outside the workflow, and the system is used to bring to attention of approvers various document, get ER/ES validation for the step, report on progress for the different proposals. There a lot of "white space" while a change is under evaluation, under planning, document submission etc.
I'm currently evaluating options. R/3 is out because strategically we don't want to develop bespoke solutions "from the ground up" (and there is no reference object), but package solutions are OK - if configuration (by a BPX?) is possible.
There is a great demand for easy to build process automation applications, and there are some very good packages from other vendors in this space. So, I thought CAF-GP would be ideal, nice Java front-end, easy configuration, open architecture to interface with R/3 ECM and Documentum, for example.
Is it a case of it being positioned short of where it could be, despite of it having huge potential?

Procedure for technical help?

As I have highlighted in a specific thread my Q10 Calendar has crashed and will not be raised from the dead. It does raise the question where can you find help or solutions?
I brought the phone without a contract, the shop I bought it from doesn't offer technical help, at least not on this.
My carried (EE) doesn't have knowledge of this fault.
Unlike the iPhone there is no equivilent of the Genius Bar, there is nowhere to physically go and see someone. At least not anyone with real insight and experience.
Blackberry themselves don't seem to have a direct contact, either phone or email.
They do suggest tweeting Blackberry help, I've done this and heard nothing back and it seems a bit hit and miss anyway.
This forum can often provide solutions but I just don't think the software is old enough or there are enough users for every issue to be addressed.
Blackberry would do well to have a helpline, even a premium rate one.

Your mobile provider EE should escalate this issue for your for FREE, to BlackBerry's tier two technical support. If they refuse, you need to press the issue or ask for a supervisor.

Flash and publishing for iOS (Help Needed)

I currently own Adobe Create Suite 3 Design Premium. I just recently heard that CS 5.5 can develop iOS Apps. So I downloaded trial 2 days ago and thought I would see if I could develop some apps and if things go well upgrade.
Here is the issue I'm running into. I created the CSR file with openssl since I don't own a mac, only a windows 7 based pc. Apples developers program accepted my CSR and created the provisioning file for it.
However, when I go to publish the for iOS it asks for a .p12 file. I found online that is my CSR file. However, it asks for a password. I have no password for it. It does not allow leaving the password field blank, and anything I put in it is incorrect.
All I need help with is the .p12 file and getting past the password and I will be good to go.
Anyone know a step by step guide or could walk me though this part. Thank you and I greatly appreciate it.

Ripping DVD's ready for iPod - Help Needed!!

Hi All
I have been using Handbrake to rip my DVD's and for some reason it has stopped working now..
It goes through the process of encoding the files, all the settings are correct and I have noted the saved directory (even changed it a couple of times), and when it completes 100% there is no file to be found anywhere......
I have posted a note on the handbrake forum but got no reply yet.
Does anybody know what the problem may be?
Also, does anybody know of an application that will rip DVD's so that they are iPod ready, or maybe into MPG/MPEG/AVi format.

How long do you wait? Once conversion has completed, the YourFileName.temp file must be rewritten to your desitination location. This can take some seconds, depending on the size of your movie. While we're at it, is the temporary file even being created when conversion begins?
Also, does anybody know of an application that will rip DVD's so that they are iPod ready, or maybe into MPG/MPEG/AVi format.
Ripping/extraction of DVDs can be done by a number of Mac compatible appliations. MacTheRipper (free) is probably one the most popular at the moment. Stripping and/or conversion, however, still requires an ancillary application like MPEG2 Works 4 Advanced ($$) or MPEG StreamClip (free). However, since your were less than specific as to type (stream file, elementary streams, VCD compatible, SVCD compatible, DVD compatible, etc.) of target file desired, I can only generalize. Conversion basically depends on the workflow you utilize. Both applications have some "intrinsic" capabilities but, for the most part, rely on QT, QT Tools, and/or QT components you have installed and available. In addition, both application allow output to what is basically the QT Pro "Movie to QuickTime" export option. This simply means that in addition to the specific formats you mentioned, you also have full access to all of the same target QT formats you could normally access directly from your QT Pro application. (I.e., you can go directly from a VOB file or file segment to any available QT compatible compression format based on QT Pro and installed QT Pro components.)
REMINDER: These alternative compression formats are not iPod compatible.
ADDED: Forty-TwoDVD-VXPlus ($$) will convert ripped/extracted DVD directly to iPod compatible formats.

Want to use Logic 8 Pro for Podcasting, help needed

I have a few problems. I just switched over to Logic after using ProTools for 4 years so I'm a newbie. I'm about to start a podcast soon and I want to use Logic 8 Pro to do so. Is there a book that someone can recommend me for getting familiar with Logic?
Here are the things I need to get done:
I have a mixer and I need to know how to record the sounds playing through my computer to end up in Logic. I basically want to be able to capture the audio playing on my computer and have that be on the podcast. How do I do this?
Secondly, I'm confused about what Input 1 and Input 2 are. What is the difference?

I'm not sure what you are asking here. If you want to record the whole output of your computer, I recommend using a virtual audio driver like Soundflower or Jack.

Input 1 is the input marked "1" on your audio interface (or the left channel on a stereo pair).
Input 2 is the input marked "2".
If your audio interface has more than 2 inputs, they will all show up, so you can record different inputs to different tracks if required.
You might be better off using Garageband to record your podcasts, it's simpler and has dedicated podcast functions (like adding iTunes artwork and so on).

Making click track for drums, help needed!

Hello, newbie here. I don't have that much experience with Logic and am using Logic 8. Our band is making a backing track with midi bass panned one way and metronome click the other for our drummer. My keyboardist managed to programme the metronome to change because we have lots of time signature changes mid song. We've got all that working fine but our drummer is struggling to hear the click tone. I could make an audio track with a cowbell sound but it would take ages and we've got the metronome doing what we want it to. So...would ideally like the metronome click to be changed to a cowbell. I've managed to change it from Klopfgeist to garage band drum kit but it only does a tinkly bell sound and then a whistle. There doesn't seem to be an interface for it where I can change to a different drum percussion sound. I've got Battery 3 and libraries. I've tried loading this in the box below I/O but i then lose the metronome click altogether on playback. Any ideas? I've attached a couple of screenshots...

you could also just not use the metronome at all. My default is an instrument track with hihats. If you load an intrument (like maybe ultra beat, or an EXS drumkit) then use the pencil tool to creat a region on a MIDI track, you could double-click the region and draw the notes on whatever beats, with whatever instruments. If you want to preview sounds, just hit your keyboard controller until you find what you like. The transport will show what note it is. Or the little keyboard on the left side in the editor. Edit the MIDI region to taste.
Or... if you're not comfortable with the editing, just load an instrument, find the sounds you like, then record a couple of bars of how you want your click, then quantize to the smallest note value you have in your click. (usually 8th, sometimes 16th depending on the complexity of the click you've created.)

Username and password for airprint help needed

i have set up airprint through the wifi and my iphone 3GS and ipad wifi are able to find the printers in the house but it says that a user name and password are required to connect to the printer but i do not believe that i have a password set to the printers. any help or ideas would be very useful

Waiting For Activation, help needed.

Hi, I have bought a iPhone 3G 8GB from ebay. I have checked the IMEI number on "checkmend" and there are no reported problems. It is apparently on o2 but I want to unlock it for use on Vodafone. I have bought a o2 pay as you go sim card so that I can get it unlocked properly but when I insert it I get the message "Waiting for activation, this may take a while" but it never goes until I press "dismiss" then it just says "No Service".
Under the carrier menu the only provider listed is Orange but under the "phone" menu in settings the last box does say o2!
Can anyone help? I've tried googling, restoring the iphone, uninstalling and re-installing itunes. Does anyone know what the problem could be or better still anyone know of a solution?

No way to tell really - I am always suspicious about 'the worlds largest,best, greatest ' etc checkers of anything. The four/five UK carriers all operate an IMEI block agreement between them and somehow I doubt that they would give up that information to a small company operating out of a Coach House in Gloucester
That said, who knows - its practically impossible to tell where a phone came from - you are not the first to ask by far! The others didnt manage to find out either.
