Hi Chaps,
Could you please provide the step by step procedure of end to end SAP Upgrade which includes oracle database upgrade as well..and post upgrade process tooo....
Thanks

There is nothing like that.
Each system is different, each application is different; on top of that it would be WAY too much to post here.

    Hi Support,
Could anyone please provide the steps to upgrade Oracle Database EE from 11.2.0.3.8 to 11.2.0.4.0.

You will need to install 11.2.0.4 into a new ORACLE_HOME, apply the latest 11.2.0.4 PSU patch to the new ORACLE_HOME (see MOS Doc 1454618.1) and then follow the steps in the Upgrade Guide

    Hi Rajeys,

    2) OCR (clusterware) version - 10.2.0.4
    3) Storage type - NAS storage (we are not using ASM).

  • Backup failure from SAP after oracle upgrade

    Hi All,
We have upgraded oracle from 11.2.0.1.0 to 11.2.0.3.0 on windows 2008 R2 VM(64 bit). We are able to take backup successfully through BRtools at OS level but when we are trying through DB13 we are getting error as mentioned below.
    BR0274E File 'L:\ORACLE\SOC\SAPDATA4\SYSTEM_1\SYSTEM.DATA1' not found
    BR0274W File 'K:\ORACLE\SOC\SAPDATA3\TEMP_12\TEMP.DATA12' not found
BR0314E Collection of information on database files failed
Our BRtool verison is 18 so I think SAP note 1625038 doesn't address our problem.
We have placed the utl file in the new oracle home and also did some other required changes.
Kindly suggest how we can resolve this problem.
    Regards,
    Mridul

    Hi Sunil,
We haven't did any modification in utl file, just placed that in new oracle home and modified the location of utl parameter file in initsid.sap.

  • Upgrade Oracle BIEE  from 10.1.3.4.1 to version 11  Windows7

We used Oracle Businnes Inteligence SE 1 (10.1.3.2.1) on platform Window 7 and
we developed some applications: dashboards and answers.
Then I upgraded it to BI EE 10.1.3.4.1.
Windows 7 is 64 bit,but BI EE and SE 1 is for Microsoft Windows 32-bit.
Now we should like to upgrade it to Oracle Business Intelligence, v. 11.1.1.3.0
Can you advise me, What version we have to install for upgrade :
version for Microsoft Windows x86 (32-bit)
or for Microsoft Windows x86 (64-bit)?

    Joe Bertram wrote:
You've got quite a bit of options in terms of what is supported for OBIEE 11g, a lot more than OBIEE 10g.
Sorry Joe but I will have to disagree on that statement. OBIEE 11g is much more restrictive on what's supported. 10g supports every major OS both on 32 and 64 bits. 11g only supports "software only" installs in 64bits in all OSes. Given that most people are moving to 64bits OSes this seems like a bit like a step back to me since OBIEE 10g at least supported full functionality in 64 bits OSes albeit running with 32bits binaries (which can't really bother anyone).
