Step to setup the Dataguard in 11.1.0.7

We have completed our upgradation to R12.0.6 and 11.1.0.7 on server A(Appl),ServerB(DB) and we need to set up the dataguard on server c , can some body gives me the detail steps required for setup and failover check to carried out in this process. or please give me some pointers to this

I believe the document for configuring Data Guard on R12 with 11g database installed is not yet available. However, you may refer to the following documents as the steps should be the same.

What are the steps to setup JavaMail in JDeveloper for Oracle Portlet??

Dear all,
I had got a problem in using JavaMail in JDeveloper.
I am developing a Oracle portlet (actually, it is an online applicatin form for user submission.).
After user submitted the form, the portlet will send email automatically to someone else for notification. The logic is straight forward.
I faced a problem on how to setup the environment for calling JavaMail API.
As far as I know, JavaMail is included in J2EE platform, so I guess I need to put JavaMail classes in the import directives, i.e.
import="java.util.Properties"
import="javax.mail.*"
import="javax.mail.internet.*"
But, when compile the program, error messages are resulted that JavaMail classes not found.
Can anyone help me?

I switched to use the utl_smtp package for my portlet email function instead of using JavaMail in Portlet.
But, I still want to know the steps and procedures which I need to take in order to invoke JavaMail in Oracle Portlet development. Anyone any ideas?

Are you sure you have the correct version number for OC4J? Is this a standalone OC4J instance, if it then the steps involved are different from the full stack. Please check the Higher Availibility guide in the documentation on OTN.

I am working on modification to iPayments module of EBS Release 11.5.9. We need to modfiy part of code in Paymentech BEP (Back End Payment) servlet.

Short answer: I don't have such a document, nor do I know where to find one.
Since most of the people who regularly monitor and post to this forum don't work with the E-Business suite (at least not iPayment) - I don't feel you'll get a good response here. I hope someone can prove me wrong. The best place to find this information is the E-Business Suite forums or perhaps Metalink.
Furthermore, I don't believe that Oracle supports modifying the supplied iPayment servlets. So, I think Metalink is the right place for you to start.

can anyone tell me the step by step instructions to setup the software and connect my old mac lc 550 with os 7.5 and apple ethernet rj45 card to the internet.

A plain System 7.5 would have a MacTCP control panel. You can find details about MacTCP configuration under the link that BDAqua provided above.
The setup can be easier with an operating system running Open Transport networking. Such a system would have a TCP/IP control panel instead. Although it is possible to update an earlier system to Open Transport, many prefer to just install a complete version 7.5.3 that can be downloaded from Apple.

Ben Forta shows in his video "ColdFusion9 exposed as Flex Services" how to send an Email using ColdFusion as a Service.
I tried out this example with Flashbuilder4 Beta2 but I got the following ActionSript-Error:

We tried this out and it works like a charm
Actually even we hit the issue you have mentioned but on further investigation we could get things working.
Please follow these settings, we are not sure if you have done all of these:
a) In CF9 administrator, under Mail section please type your server name, username and password. Check the ' Verify mail server connection'
checkbox and click 'Submit Changes'. Make sure you get the message 'Connection Verification Successful'.
b) Under Security-> 'User Manager' section in CF9 administration, add an user using 'Add User' with the following info:
username, password, confirm password , check both RDS and administrative access and add 'Exposed Services' by selecting the required services.
eg: Mail Service and click 'Add User'.
c) Go to 'Security->Allow IP Address in CF9 administrator and enter your IP address and say 'Add'.
d) After add the following tag in addition to CF:Mail,
<cf:Config cfServer="" cfPort="8501" servicePassword="" serviceUserName="" />(the values entered here should be same as the ones configured under 'Add User' and 'Allow IP address' section).
Please find attached the mxml file (TestCF.mxml) which has the Flex code.
Also, add the 'CFService.swc' into your project. Go to Project->Flex Build Path->Add SWC and point to D:\ColdFusionCentaur\wwwroot\CFIDE\scripts\air (subject to CF9 installed location).
Please try the workflow by following these steps and let us know if things work fine

As requrement of users, we need to setup the access duration for all users of our company . It's mean users only access into SAP on defined duration
Ex : Working time is 8h00 am to 17h00 pm, after 17h00 pm, users cannot access into system

We want to set the access duration for end-user but sometimes, we need to flexible to allow user access to system in some special case.
Let me detail users's requirements
- Users can access to SAP fom 8h00 to 16h00
- At 16h00, system will send the warning message to user to inform that system will aunomatic turn offf after 15 minutes, it's mean system will automatic kick out users after 15 minutes
- From 16h00 to 8h00, users can not access to SAP
- However, in some special case, we can grant the acess to system to specific user.
Can we setup these steps on SAP ?

I need to setup the TDMS landsape. I have installed the TDMS (DMIS, DMIS_CNT, DMIS_EXT with latest patch levels) software on the sender, receiever and central system. I need to know the follow up steps from the technical standpoint, like its mentioned that we need to create RFCs and some users but its not very clear in the guides. Can somebody give me the steps so that the basic landscape is ready and then we can start transferring the data based on our requirements.

I am new to SAP BPC. For legal consolidation, I am confused how to setup the ownership in BPC. The senario is following:
    P is the parent company, S1 and S2 are subsidiaries.
    1) P owned S1 80%, ownded S2 90%, meanwhile S1 owned P 20%
        How to setup this?
    2) P owned S1 80%, owned S2 70%, and S1 owned S2 10%.
        How to setup this?
For above 2 senarioes, how to calculate the Minority Interest? ( Using different consolidation rules?)
And if there are subgroup, how to see the subgroup result?

Thanks for reply... Actually, I've tried that before(putting comma after the flag "all," presuming the 71st step shows that I should have 3 members in the memberset under the ICDatasrc dimension. But it also did not work.
Nope, step 71 did not tell us to use piping and consequently expanding the col key range.

Sorry, I forgot to mention a few points:
1) I don't have the Airport Extreme base station;
2) My PowerBook is connect to the internet thru wired connection with the Built-in Ethernet;
3) The Airport is turned on, but my PSP's scan cannot locate the PowerBook at all (while it find someone else's network)
So, I wonder if I can just connect my PSP to the built-in Airport in the PowerBook directly. So that I can have internet access on my PSP.
