Help in estimating number of dialogue steps for portal user scenarios

I am looking for your expert advice in determining the number of dialogue steps for SAP portal users in the following scenarios:
1) External users accessing a SAP portal to access utilities services such as viewing bills, paying bills, update meter readings etc. The system needs to support 6000 concurrent users.
2) Internal users (customer service agents) accessing IS-U, CRM (potentially BW) via an internal SAP portal. The system needs to support 2000 concurrent users. .

Steps for extraction of Custom Fields from the SRM 5.0 to the SAP BI system

Hi Experts,
I am new to the SAP BI. I was asked to publish all the custom fields from table (BBP_PDISC) of the SRM system to the BI System.
Please provide some guidiance (or) provide me with step-by-step procedure for doing the same.
There are around 14 fields in this table and i need to move them to the BI system and later inlcude them in reports.

Steps for Variable User Exit

Hi All,
I have to do some coding in my variable exit. I have followed the follwing steps to create a project a write the code. Anyone please confirm if my steps are correct or missing anything.
1. Go to CMOD, give project name and Click on create.
2. Enhancements -> give RSR00001. and click on Components.
3. Double click on 'EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001'. This will bring up the functionmodule in which we can find an include.
4. Double click on 'ZXRSRU01' Include.
5. Press Enter for the warning message.
6. It gave me a message saying that 'the Include doesnot exist, Do you want to create it'. Click Yes. This will bring up a blank ABAP editor.
7. Write the required code using CASE Statement.
Am I missing anything here?
I would be grateful if someone can send me any documents relating to the variable User Exits.

Cannot move from CS6 to CC !?

Even though I bought, installed and registered CS6, it is not letting me upgrade to CC. It is saying I have no products registered with adobe (lie) and is not recognizing the serial number when I enter it. And to top it off, the so called discount is only available until December 2nd, and Adobe only offers phone help during the week.
I should have stuck with CC when I first bought it this time last year, instead of switching to CS6. I'm out $1,500 because of this, and if I cannot contact adobe on Monday I will be paying double the monthly price for CC.
What an ungodly poorly run company. Last time I subscribed to CC I spent hours and hours on the phone to get it working, now the cycle is about to start over.
The discount should be offered for 3 years to all the people that payed over $2,000 for CS6. What a scam...

Is there really no other way? I do remember being a Save as CS6 in CC and a save as CC in 2014. I really don't get why Adobe has the need to remove useful features. The list of what works as it should is probably shorter than what is wrong with CC 2014. Thank god for this community so that we can solve some of the issues together, otherwise I'd probably already burn my computer to a crisp.
The biggest reason why I want to move my projects back to CS6 is the absurd encoding times I get with the CC 2014. Currently I'm encoding a 1 hour and 30min video with ONLY two transitions and after 8hrs of encoding the clock still says 198hrs left on a normal 1080p project. I've run this for test purposes a project out of CS6 that encodes the same project in 3hrs. For some reason CC 2014 just decided that it cannot use all of my resources and is only using 50% of my CPU and I still have 4GB of ram free, CS6 uses 100% of my CPU for the same project all of the ram and resources so naturally it can finish the encode faster.
The grandma speed of CC 2014 really is laughable and unacceptable by anybody. The issue has been posted may times here on the forums with nobody doing anything of course - adobe style. As you may believe my clients don't have forever to wait and I'm honestly scared to death to try to encode a 4k video in CC 2014.
So to summarise, CC 2014 is totally unusable and a mockery of people whom use Premiere.

Web probroms for pc's downloading .mov from web

Hi I'm trying to download .mov files off of the internet and the information line says that it is downloading however when it is done nothing happens. Do I need to try a different extension on my webpage like .flv so my pc will read it? Help

I suppose you already have Quick Time for Windows, ( if not you can download it for free by pressing the Quick Time tab from a pc and using the download option. ) When the cursor in the movie pane reaches the end, you can ctrl-click the triangle in the end and choose "Save as". Otherwise it is saved in the destination you provided as all other downloads.

Server based Office 2013 - where do I save word templates on the server for all users to access from "New"?

Wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction. I'm used to working with stand alone desktop MS Office products.
We have a server connected to six desktop work stations. All stations have access to Microsoft Office 2013 on the server, and the printer is linked through
the server.
Users are currently accessing Word doc Documents on the shared (p) drive as templates, and then saving them with relevant file names to their area on the
(p).
Surely there is a way to save Word templates to the server, so that when someone clicks on "New" in Word our own templates are also offered automatically?

Best settings for creating a web mov. from a motion project

Hi,
I have been trying to get a crisp image online, that doesn't take a age to load. I know it's possible as I have seen sites that seem to have their settings spot on.
I am using H264 codec, which greatly reduces the file size (although it's still about 4.5mb) and the once crisp looking motion project, now looks dull.
Can anyone help? I am very new to motion (and FCP). What codec should I set my sequence to before I import the motion project to FCP and then what settings should I use for compressor?

You could also try Squeeze.
I've read that for highly compressed H.264 (doesn't matter for files that aren't), Squeeze has better quality. (would certainly like to hear other's experience - Squeeze seems a lot slower to compress from the review)

What happens to plug-ins for Premiere Pro when upgrading from CS6 Production Premium to CC?

If I upgrade from CS 6 Production Premium to CCloud, what happens to the plug-ins currently installed in Premiere Pro? Will I lose them (some Red Giant, Synthetic Aperture and such)?

DP selection for VPN users and VPN boundaries

I have a scenario wherein we have 500 users across UK who will connect via VPN, the client has 350 sites with main 25 locations with minimum users (>20) and rest of the sites have less than 10 users.. may one or 2 or 5.. for no DP are placed. aprt from
500 all will be on LAN.
DP is only for sites > 20 users...
so my concern is how do the users who will be on vpn have to be configured for DP to download the content,
if a user moves from one location to other location lets say from London to Manchester how will this user on VPN will be able to select the DP if he is configured to select DP in London.?
Do advise how to configure the DP for VPN user who move from location to location. How will they select the DP.
we do have the IPrange for VPN users , but how to map it to DP. if I map London DP to a user and then if he is in Manchester the user will all way pull the content across WAN.. how to make the user to auto connect to local DP(Manchester) if on VPN.

You don't map users to DPs and DP communication is dynamic and not persistent in any way. Thus, *every time* that a client requests content it submits its current IP and is given DPs to download the content from based on this IP and the configured boundaries.
Thus, as long as your "locations" have different IP ranges, there's nothing special to do.

How to skip approving steps for users who are also approvers?

We have a business need to be able to skip the approving steps for the users who are also approvers.
For this following steps were followed :-
1) Open .task file and go into the Assignment tab. Double click on the performer box within the routing slip, this should open the "Edit Participant Type" editor. Expand the "Advanced" section and place a check next to "specify skip rule", then click the edit icon to the right. Now enter an XPath expression that will test whether the current user is equal to the task creator.
2) We used - isUserInRole XPath function in the "Identify Service Functions" dropdown - first param to function is the userID, the 2nd is the role name.
We tried with hardcoded userID as well as by using
ids:isUserInRole(/task:task/task:systemAttributes/task:updatedBy/task:id,'California')
where 'California' is the group name (as one of the forum threads told this function works with groups).
We also tried with swimlane roles(using bpm.getPerformer() function) but it does not work either.
Please let me know if any one has any solution to this problem.

After update to CC from CS6 multi-camera playback/edit now glitchy

Hi Forum Friends,
I finally made the move from CS6 to CC last week and now I am diving back in to some projects that were already in progress during the upgrade (which went smoothly).
However, I am now finding that my ability to playback multicam clips for edit is greatly degraded, with lag, hanging and "not responding" pauses really slowing me down. I haven't crashed it yet, but as the problem becomes more clear to me I'll update this thread.
Has anyone else had this experience? Does anyone have a clue they can loan me?
I am running CC on Win7sp1 with 6GB RAM and an NVIDIA Quadro 2000 GPU. Nothing about my workflow or raw media (Canon XF) has changed except the CC update.

Sooo... This problem is still plaguing me, and shunting all of my productions through FCPX is not a sustainable solution! Besides I am paying for this!
Let me clarify the outline of the issue - although I once assumed that my problem was associated with a widely bemoaned .MFX media error extant before the last PrProCC update, I can now say that my .MXF problems were only a subsidiary issue. My problem (sometimes identified in the event viewer in CC as "audio dropout in adobe player") is a HANG.
Today I am working in PrPro CS6.0.5 (under my CC subscription) and here is what I see: Occurring every 10-25 seconds of playback (multicam editing), it lasts 4-10 seconds (screen freezes, audio freezes) and then resumes from the moment of the hang. PrPro then executes any keystrokes that happened during the hang (eg. save, pause playback, or cut to a diff. cam. angle). In the resource monitor, I see two kinds of hangs: 1) CPU activity drops to zero and then surges before the moment of recovery, but CPU and disc I/O never approach capacity. Curiously, RAM (used physical memory) also notches down to 0, then immediately comes back up to the previous level. 2) CPU and disc activity both surge to capacity at the moment of the freeze and stay up near full bore for the duration and for several more seconds, while RAM holds steady. In this variation of the hang, the number of instances of "adobe premiere pro.exe" in the "Disk" window multiplies to 25-30 or more, then after recovery returns to the normal 4-6 instances.
Clearing/deleting media cache seems to make no change.

Determine which validation step called the user exit, possible?

We have a a validation with different steps that use the same user exit in their respective check.
My functional analyst asked me if there is a way to programmatically determine in the user exit which step is executing the user exit.
So I am asking the same question here.
As an example:
Validation FI100 has step 001, 002, and 003.
Each of these steps use the user exit U100 from module pool ZGGBR001 in their check.
I haven't found a way in the code of U100 to determine which step called U100.
Does anyone know if this can be done?
I have used the following technique to get a variable from the program's call stack.
data: var_name(30) type c value '(Z_CALLING)VARIABLE' .
field-symbols: <fs> type any.
assign (var_name) to <fs>.
write: / 'Variable from Z_CALLING', <fs>.
But I'm not sure how this might work with validation steps/user exits.
