I have requirement of integrating the WebEx with portal.
I am completely new to this.
Can any body tell me step by step implementation of this process . Does any document available to do this.
What are the prequisites required to integrate.
our portal version is 7.0
Does webEx need to be installed?
what is the procedure.

My key concerns include integration with SAP Portal, which I did not find in instalaltion guide.
Please advice on step by by Procedure for BO with BI 7.0 starting with the right version of BO to be installed.
1. Which version compatible with BI 7.0 SP 12, LATER TO BE UPGRADED TO sp 16
2. Source of data will be BI and reports will be using BO.
3. What are components to be installed
4. Prerequisites for Integration with BI AND SAP Portal.

here the items:
SAP Side:
- all machines have to be in the same domain
- BI has to trust the portal
- BI has to accept SSO tickets
- EP has to generate SSO tickets
BusinessObjects:
- SAP Authentication has to be configured
- BI system should be configured has default system in the options of the SAP authentication
- authentication.default parameter in the web.xml for InfoView has to be set to secSAPR3
- BusinessObjects has to be in the same domain
EP side:
- in the system landscape configure the Crystal Enterprise Server Properties for your BI system
- import the portal iview template that is part of the SAP Integration Kit
- create a new iView

Integration is with CO and PP
In CO, Cost Centers are Created using T.code KS01.
In CO, Activity Types are created using T.Code KL01.
Both should be combined Using T.code KP26.
Cost Centers are assigned to Work Centers using T.Code CR02.

Using Integration Repository might cause performance overhead based on the operation you are doing, I have never used Integration Repository for 3rd Party integration therefore I am not able to make any comment on this.
Calling directly as a Java Client is an easy approach and you can use ATG component framework to support that by making the endpoint, security credentials etc as configurable properties.

Using TASK TS40008005 for SRM invoice workflow with portal integration

Hello Experts,
we are using processed based workflow.
within a new workflow scenario it is necessary that the approver should read the details first of the invoice. for this reason we want to avoid that the buttons for approval appears on the portal uwl. It should only appears "details".
is it possible to send a task like 40008005 with parameters that will influence portal uwl in this way ?
in data container of taks 40008005 there are parameters like Task Type valued with "DECIDE" and BOMODE valued with "APPROVAL".
in the details view it should be possible to approve the workitem.
Does anybody have an idea ?

You have two options here:
1. Ask your portal team to remove the Approve , Reject buttons from the UWL. It is possible via UWL Configurations in Portal
2. Implement Check BADI for Invoices and make sure Approver puts a comment in the Invoice while approving or rejecting. In this caase system will not approve the invoice(there will be an error ) if the approver tries to approve the invoice from UWL. But in this case Approver will not be able to see the error details in UWL....UWL will give ageneric message that document could not be approved or exception kind of message

Problem in Integrating Existing Application with Portal

I have my existing application. When i tried to integrate it with portal by URLScrapper Channel, my existing applications are logging me out.
My existing applications have different user / password for logging into it. Once i try login, i am not able to log into it. I hope there is some problem in session. Can anybody tell me how can rectify it.

Guys can u explain ,how to set the cookies in the session
Bcoz i am also facing the same problem when i am integrating the portal with my application.
I am able to login to the application , but when i do some operation it logs me out of the appliation .

!!! Integration UWC Webmail with Portal Server

Hello There...
How can I integrate UWC Webmail with Portal Server. I"m using SJS Portal Server 6 2005Q1. I've configured a CHANNEL extending a IFRAME provider in order to open the webmail in the same window. But when I click on the "UWC Webmail" tab the Portal Server gets the user credentials and starts loading the webmail and stops without any error. If I open another window or tab it works proving the authentication process works fine.

Have you tried using the UWC channels that the portal ships out of the box?
Portal Server 6 2005Q1 ships with a channel - UWCMail. Add this channel to your desktop, and provide the Messaging server details and user credentials in the channel edit screen. This channel will display a list of emails and also provide links to open the UWC webmail.
Look at the "To Configure New Communications Express Channels" section of this guide - http://docs.sun.com/source/819-2201/index.html. The communications products (Messaging, Calendar, UWC) will have to configured as explained in this guide for the single signon to work.
Butwhen I click on the "UWC Webmail" tab the Portal Server gets the user credentials and starts loading the webmail and stops without any error.I'm not clear what you mean by this, so can't comment. A little more detail will help.

Strategy for integrating JSF/JSP with EJB?

Both JSF/JSP and EJB seem to be developing independently of each other. What is a good strategy for integrating them? I'm not sure how access my entity/session beans from my web pages.

Follow the MVC architecture. Don't access EJB's from JSF/JSP pages. Here are some basic rules to follow.
1) never put java code in JSP's. JSP's are for viewing data only. They should never contain business logic nor be tied to the business tier.
2) JSP's should always send HTTP requests to servlets. Use the servlets to control the flow of the application and make decisions on which JSP should be returned to the client. Make calls to the EJB's from the servlet to perform business logic.

You need a "bulk renamer" to do this.
I personally use ABetterFinderRename, but there are cheaper and some that are free. ABFR has a free trial.
Renamer4Mac is cheap. Check the App Store too.
