Steps for preventive and breakdown maintenance

hey gurus,
i'm a novice in plant maintenance and ve been assigned to take care of PM in the project. can u pls tell me the step by step procedure for carrying out preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance in sap.
thanks in advance...

Hi Abhi
If you are a end user and u want to know abt the process... then it is simple to explain here...
for Breakdown Maintenance
Creation of notification ( with B/D tick) TCODE : IW21
Which includes functional location, equipment, catalog etc
Creation of order TCODE : IW31
Which Include Operation, work, materials, manpower etc
check whether internal / external labour or material required...
If material internal - do material reservation - Goods issue
If labour internal - Internal work entry
If material External - create PR & PO
If labor external - create PR & PO & service entry sheet
execute the order
confirm the order
for Preventive Maintenance
Create Maintenance Stratergy
Create Maintenance Task List
Create maintenance plan
scheldule the plan
Confirm the order
teco
These are some of the basic requirements for the process...
Rest every thing you should explore yourself...

  • GRC AC V10 - one approval step for manager and role owner

    Hello Community,
I have one, perhaps easy, question. Where is it possible to maintain the solution of one approval step for manager and roleowner, if both are unique.
    E.g.:
simple approval workflow: manager stage afterwards roleowner stage afterwards auto-provisioning
So if the request is routed to the manager and the manager is also the roleowner of the requested authorization role (same UserID). The user has to approve one and the same request twice.
Is it possible in V.10 to change the config that the user has only to approve the request once? And then to decide on which relevant stage settings are valid for this process.
    Thanks,
    Alexa

    Hi Alexa,
We have had a similar questions raised in a project. In an ideal world, a single "Sign-off approval" would be a great functionality where the same user has to approve the same consecutive stages, but the reason for different stages would entail that the responsibilities entailed per stage differ, e.g. Line Manager would just check the over request, and the role owner etc may be reviewing the elegibility of a specifc role etc.
If it is likely to be the same person reviewing the 2 consecutive stages, maybe a single stage workflow would be sufficient to cover this scenario.
I think the logic you are trying to configure in the workflow is possible but will require alot of work with knowing how to create a clever custom workflow with BRF+ or the actual WF stuff in SAP itself.

  • Configuration steps for Quality and Batch Management.

    Hi Friends,
We are implementing QM along with Batch Management for testing the material like purity, pathology tests.
I am new to Quality and Batch Management.
Could any one guide me, how to configure material master for QM and Batch to test the material?.
    Thanks

    1) Maintain Material with Classification and Quality Management view
    2) Tick the Check box Quality key Active in QM View->QM view->Inspection Set up and activate the inspection type for which the inspection lot.(e.g insp. type 01 - GR against PO)
    3) Create Quality Info Record(QI01)
    4) In PO the stock automatically goes to Quality stock.
    5) Check MMBE stock
    6) Do Result Recording and Usage Decision(QA32)
    7) Check stock (MMBE).
There are few steps where the PP/QM Consultant need to help you in QI01,QA32 and in Creating characteristics and class according to  Requirement(purity...etc).

  • Measuring Point for Tools and Die Maintenance

    Dear All,
I am trying to map the following process:-
My client has 10 press machines and around 250 Dies for punching. Dies are assembled to press machines and they produce jobs by punching.
Client has an Preventive Maintenance plan for each Die in terms of number of strokes punched by an Die. for e.g PM is done after every 300000, 600000, 900000, 1200000 strokes. Estimated life is 1200000.
What they want is when production person confirms the production order say for 10000 jobs the counter of the die should increase by 10000.......and so on. When the counter reaches 300000 preventive maintenance call should be scheduled.
What i have done is created an Die as an Equipment with PRT as equipment category. Created an measuring point for that Die, assined Usage formula etc.
I have created an Maintenance plan for that die in which i have assigned the strategy (IP11) which contains the stroke cycles 300000, 600000.........etc.
Assigned the Die as a PRT to the material which is to be produced in the Routing.
When i confirm the production order the counter of the PRT increases which i can check IK13.
What i am expecting is that in IP10 system should update the counter automatically so that when the counter reaches to 300000 maintenance call wil be scheduled and order will be generated.
I would request you to please give me some input on this.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Rashmi

    Hello Rashmi;
I have seen the screen shots & there are problems with the following:
    1) Counter overflow reading
You have entered 130;  keep it as- 999999 (it is the reading after which system starts counting from 0 value)
    2) Formula that you have used;
You have used the formula- SAPF02; do not use this. Create you own formula with following details: SAPF99 (new formula)  = SAP_20 * SAP_09
    3) You have manually entered the reading for the measuring point; do not use it. System will calculate the measurement reading from PRT usage value.
CREATE a single measuring document with reading as '0'.
    4) Also in CA01; you need to assign this PRT in routing with "EQUIPMENT" & not material. Also make sure that in the same screen (assignment of PRT- basic data) maintain usage value as 1 (if this is not maintained, measuring doc. will NOT be updated).
    5) Now when you confirm the production order, based on number of units created; system will automatically create the measuring doc.
If there is any problem with CA01, CO01 or CO11n; ask your PP consultant to assist.
Do let me know if there is any problem in this.
    Regards
    Hemant

  • Need help setting up approval workflow step for PO and Shopping Cart

    Hello,
We are on SRM 7.0 and setup BRF and process level config for automatic approvals of SCs and POs using task 40007988. We would now like to test approval based workflow (create work item to route to approver) using a process level step.
    1) Is there a standard task that can be used to enter in the process level step? Or should we create a new standard task? If a new task is required, what import/export parameters should be defined?
    2) How do we setup agent for this step? Are the entries u201CResp Resolveru201D and u201CResp Resolver Parameteru201D in process level config required? The BADI BD_WF_RESP_RESOLVER already has some SAP delivered implementations? Should I create a new implementation here?
    Thanks,
    Zack

    Hi,
Welcome to new Process-Controlled Workflow implementation in SRM 70.
You can find the task list in the transaction PFTC. Task Group 40000003.
Please activate the BC Sets in transaction SCPR20. Find the BC Sets /sapsrm/*.

  • Configuration steps for ICM and ICF for WebDynpro

You know you really shouldn't need to do that.  Sometimes you see that suggestion if this is a temporary sandbox or trial system installation; but for a real ABAP AS, it would be rediculous to go around to every client machine and add the IP address to the host file.  The real solution is to have your network administrators do their job and setup a proper DNS entry for the server.
Telling someone that they should add their server IP address to every client's host file is like telling someone with an amputated arm they just need to put a bandaid on it. Just silly!
So the short answer is that the majority of these steps should be on the server.  There are some suggested settings for your browser to control security and error reporting; but the critical configuration steps on the server are all listed in the help document I linked to earlier.

  • Help on Final Step for Drag and Drop Exercise

Does anyone know the best way to create a test item where the learner has to place a check mark in the correct cells and hit submit to succeed.
I was using a drag and drop  but I am lost on step three.
I am using the check marks as drag sources, square shapes located in all cells will the correct cell/box assigned as the correct drop target.
The issue is when I get to step three, how do I allow the user to drag ANY checkmark (drag target) to the correct cell/box (drop target).  When I get to step 3, I have to assign each individual  checkmark to ONE specific cell/box and I want the learner to be able to drag any checkmark, as long as it is dropped in a designated drop target.
If there is another way I should approach this test item instead of drag and drop, I am open to any suggestions.
    Here is an example:

I purchased the Master Widget from Infosemantics a few months back but between my day job and my schooling for my ID Certification from UC Irvine Extension, I have not had the time to figure it out.
I thought there would be an easier way but as usual, nothing is a quick fix anymore.  Even when you think your just missing a simple step.
    Thanks,

Can anybody explain the detail path from which should I do to move as well as patch up to 9.2.0.8.0 version .

  • Installation steps for 64 and 32 bit on same machine

I'm running Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit. All my webapps are using 32 bit mode.
I want to install both Oracle 10G 64 and 32 bit on the same machine. Which version should i install first?
64 bit or 32 bit first?
    Thanks..

Why do you want to install both Oracle 32-bit and 64-bit? Oracle 32-bit client can communicate with a 64-bit database and vice versa.
Also installing both the 32-bit and 64-bit may result in legal problems when your site is audited by Oracle.
