Hi,
If you have knowledge of IDoc you can easily perform the following steps for LSMW through Inbound Idoc
To use IDoc inbound processing, you must first perform the following steps:
Step 1.Define or select a file port for transporting the file. Optionally, you can also create a tRFC port.
Step 2.     The partner type has to be defined or selected.
( WE20 to Maintain Partner Profiles )
For example-
Partner type:US
Report name:/SAPDMC/SAP_LSMW_PARTNERTYPES
Form routine:READ_USER
Short text:     Testing
Step 3.     The partner number has to be defined or selected.
For example
Partner number:LSMW
Partner type:US
Partner status:A (active)
Type:US
Language:     EN or DE
ID:Your user ID
Step 4.     IDoc inbound processing must be activated, and the workflow customizing must be checked. Both of these tasks are performed once in each system.
For this Step 4you need to doi the following things
I) Choose Workflow customizing.
   The Workflow Customizing screen appears.
II)Choose Perform Automatic Workflow Customizing.
   The auto customizing log for the runtime system is displayed.
III)Check the entries.
The following entries of the workflow runtime system must have a green checkmark assigned to them:
Maintain System Administrator for Workflow.
Configure RFC Destination.
Classify Decision Task as General.
Activate Send to Objects

Data migration through IDoc processing in LSMW

Hi all,
I have an requirement wherein i need to transfer material master data through LSMW conversion process into R/3 database.The data is to be posted through ARTMAS04 inbound IDoc.
The problem is to transfer the data simultaneousely through multiple instances of E1BPE1MARAEXTRT segment of ARTMAS04 IDoc.
for example:
I need to have an assignment that should work like this:
E1BPE1MARAEXTRT[]-FIELD1 = '00001'
E1BPE1MARAEXTRT[]-FIELD1 = '76545'
E1BPE1MARAEXTRT[]-FIELD1 = 'SAP'.
Can anybody help me in acheiving this example scenario in LSMW.

IDoc status 51 - LSMW for Creating Purchasing Info Records

Dear All,
My req is to create a Conversion for Purchasing Info Records. LSMW's IDoc method is used to develop this conversion wherein Message Type "INFREC" and Basic Type "INFRECMASS01" are being used.
In the 14th step (Start IDoc Processing), I 'am getting the IDoc status "51" and Status Text "Application document not posted". If I double click on respective IDoc number, I got its Control record, Data records, and Status records; in the status records I can see "51" in Red color with the message "Function module not allowed: IDOC_INPUT_INFREC". If I double click on this it asks me to check the process code...
Request you guys to resolve the issue....
Solution will b rewarded.. Thanks in advance....

I shouldnot use basic type INFREC01 instead of NFRECMASS01.
'coz Within the FM there is a check for basic type like:
check idoc type
if f_idoc_control-idoctp c_idoctp_infrec01. " INFREC01
raise wrong_function_called.
endif.
Even one can go to WE57 and see the basic Type INFREC01 assigned to the FM IDOC_INPUT_INFREC, hence one shud use this basic type...

U should use basic type INFREC01 instead of NFRECMASS01.
Within the FM there is a check for basic type like:
check idoc type
 if f_idoc_control-idoctp <> c_idoctp_infrec01. " INFREC01
 raise wrong_function_called.
 endif.

IDOC Issue in LSMW

I have created lsmw to transfer fixed asset data using BAPI. I have also did inboud configuration for LSMW to post data. When I run start IDOC Generation after convert data step it says " File 'ZASSET_BAPI_ZASSET.lsmw.conv' transferred for IDoc generation" but when i execute the next step 'Start IDOC Processing' it gives me message 'No Data Selected'. But it works in other different client with same idoc inbound processing configuration'.

sometimes we will get this kind of problems....
if the idocs are generating in 64 status then you can go to bd64 and give the same details and execute it.
if the idocs triggering immediatlly and processing properly then those will process and u get the status either 51 or 53 in WE02.

                  *go to menu bar click on settings in that select idoc inbound processing ,
                  *in that screen click on maintain port push button
                  *port creation screen will be displayed in that left menu expand the file
                  *after that select file_port
                  *click on copy button
                  *provide your port name
                  *provide the short description
                  *after that deselect the uni code check box
      --->*this is the main step
                 *in the directory you will provide the path of your flat file other wise your
                  project will be terminated after 13 th step .

Creation of rfilr ports in WE21 from LSMW IDOC Processing

I am trying to defile a file port for INBOUND IDOC processing status in LSMW.
Now when I go to create a file port in WE21, I give some dummy Physical directory name. But what should I give in
Function module field and Outbound file field ? Is it compulsary to put something in these fields...

Hi,
Function module field is used to define the path functionality of file generated.
EDI_PATH_CREATE_CLIENT_DOCNUM is the recommned fucntion by SAP .
Function is used to prevent unprocessed files being overwritten.Tihs function generates file directory path dynamically.

Strange result of IDoc processing in the LSMW

Hi
I am using MATMAS_MASS_BAPI IDoc in the LSMW to transfer material master data into client's SAP system. After IDoc processing I got green message with text that application document was successfully processed (IDoc
status = 53). But I can't view created materials using MM03 transaction. Then, records number in the MARA table before and after launching of LSMW is equal. What may be a reason of this situation? How to solve this problem?

Hi there
take a look at the Idoc overview, there should be a t100 message in there if there is a data issue with the idoc BAPI load. However this could be something inconclusive such as 'Inconsistent characteristics' or suchlike. In which case you'll have to check the data and that it matches the requirement for the object

Data Transfer using LSMW IDOC processing with multiple segments

we need to post the document data (Header structure, BP item structure, G/L item structure..etc) using LSMW IDOC processing.
is it possible to transfer data for all these structures (Segments) in single file?

I am assuming when we are specifying the file in LSMW we are going to give the option to generate the file with include all structures.
could you please elaborate further is there any thing specific we need to do while configuring LSMW to get the file for all segments in the IDOC with field names which we are going to populate with data, so that we can use it for data transfer.

Recently I implemented an ALE scenario where the sending and receiving logical system are the same.
Purchase orders are sent to SAP-XI which returns the IDoc to the same logical system als sales order IDoc.
Thus, our logical system has the ORDERS message type as outbound and inbound parameter. SAP-XI is the other receiving and sending logical system.
The easies way is the "Copy&Paste" approach. Look into your system for existing inbound IDocs and compare their control record with the one of your test IDoc.

Regarding Idoc method in LSMW

Hai All,
I have gone through the procedure which is mentioned in the **************** for Idoc Method in LSMW.I have configured the steps for Inbound Idoc Processing.
Port(File) : LSMW (I mentioned physical directory: C:\ and file name:filelsmw)
Port(TRFC) : LSMWT (rfc destination of type TCP/IP and in that I mentioned program name:rfcexec.exe)
Partner Profile: LSMW(of type US and mentioned Inbound Parameters here)
I have gone through all the steps of LSMW.But every time I am getting the status as 51(Application Document Not Posted).
Can anyone please help me in solving this.

take the Basis help to create them.
1.First create segments in WE31 Tcode with the required dataelements
2.Create the Basic Idoc Type in WE30
   release the Segments and IDOC type.
3.Create Message type in We81
4.Assign the message type to IDOC type in WE82 T code
5.Create the process code in We41 (for Outbound) WE42 (for Inbound)
6.Create A fun module in SE37 starting with ZIDOC_OUTPUT_.. by copying some Inbound (for    Inbound) Outbound Fun module
7.Create Workflow setting if needed ..
8. Assign the fun module to Idoc Type, Message Type and WF object (if it is there0
9.Define setting for fun module in BD51
10.In BD51 Define the settings for Fun module..
10.Assign the Processs Code to Fun mod`ule

2) Specify a definition Name : ZBADI_SPFLI

3) Specify short desc.
4) Choose interface tab. System proposes a name fo the implementation class.
ZCL_IM_IMLINESEL which is already generarted.
5) Specify short desc for method
6) Dbl clk on method to insert code..(check the code in AAA).
7) Save , check and activate the code.

How to resolve error while importing data using IDoc method in LSMW ?

Hi
I am trying to import my data using IDoc method in LSMW.
But after completing the whole LSMW process, when I look into the IDOC generated, the error description is as this.
It talks about the process code and other stuff.
Function module not allowed : APPL_IDOC_INPUTI
Message No. B1252
Diagnosis :
The function module APPL_IDOC_INPUTI and the application object type which were determined are not valid for this IDoc.
I am not able to resolve the problem.
