  • Steps involved to Configure a Smartform for printing TO Item

    Hi,
I want to develop a Smartform to print TO for each Item.
Currently it is being done using SAP Script.
I checked the Configuration in OMLV and assigned my print program Z****** .
This thing here is I don't see any values passed to my program like TO Number, Whse Number etc when called through LT31.
Where as I assign the standard program RLVSDR40 and debug it all the details are being passed to this program.
I am not sure if I am missing any configuration.
Please help me to figure out the issue and let me know all the steps involved in configuring the Smartforms to print Transfer Orders.
    Thanks in Advance.
    MK.

    Hi Murali,
The SAP delivers the solution to print the TO item by SAPScript, but we can do it by Smartform as well, as in
You need to create a project for the enhancement MWMD0001, because EXIT_RLVSDR40_001 will fulfill your purpose of doing it the other ways i.e. via Smart from.
For this you have to use CMOD transaction to create the project for the above said enhancement.
Note: If you do this way any configuration done via OMNU wont't be considered.
Then after in teh import parameters you have a table XRLDRI, which contains both the warehouse number and the transfer order number, the same can be passed on to the designed Smartform to fulfill your purpose.
Sample Code, you can refer to:
    *local variable declaration.
       DATA: l_wa_fm_name            TYPE rs38l_fnam.
    * Local Field Symbols
       FIELD-SYMBOLS : <l_fs_rldri> TYPE rldri.
    * Local Constant declaration
CONSTANTS : lc_fmname TYPE tdsfname   VALUE 'XYXYXYXY',  "Smartform name, here designated by 'XYXYXYXY'
                   lc_chk      TYPE rldrudruck VALUE 'X'.

    * Call the function module of the smartform
           CALL FUNCTION l_wa_fm_name

               user_settings    = lc_chk

  • Dynamic date parameters for a scheduled report that runs every day

I have a report that has input parameters for a start date and
end date. The report will be scheduled to run once a day at a
scheduled time. I need the report to automatically set the start
date and end dates when the report runs at the scheduled time.
When the report runs at the scheduled time, the end date needs
to be set to that time and the start date needs to be set to 24
hrs before the end date. I want the start and end dates to roll
forward automatically when the scheduled report runs each day. I
don't want any user intervention to change the start and end
dates every day. How can I do this in a report ?
Also, since the report is scheduled to run each day, I want the
output to be saved to a unique file name each time the report is
run as each day's report will report on the data only for that
day. How can I get the report to save to a unique file name
automatically each day ? Again, I don't want any user
intervention where they would set the output file name manually.

Try adding the following in the beforereport or beforepform
trigger, before the RETURN clause (TRUNC gets rid of the time
    component of the date):
    :p_date_from := TRUNC(sysdate) - 1;
    :p_date_to := TRUNC(sysdate);
    :desname := 'REPORT'||TO_CHAR(sysdate, 'DDMMYYYY')||'.txt'

  • Steps for Creating a Report in Oracle Apps

I need the steps for creating a Report 2.5 in Oracle Apps.
Please let me know the steps involved in detail
    Regards
    Choudary

First you create the report using reports 2.5. (You need to refer Application Developer's User Guide to understand Apps standards for customization)
Then register the report in Apps:
    1) Define the executable
    2) Place the executable in the appropriate directory (You need to refer Apps installation guide to find the directory structure for placing reports)
    3) Define the concurrent program (Pay attention when you define program parameters and value sets associated)
    4) Attach your report to the request group attached to your responsibility
    5) Run the concurrent program using SRS (you will not see the report when you open Submit Requests Form, if you do have permission)
The above procedure is applicable if you are defining the report directly in your instance. If you are using chain link, then you may have to migrate the objects appropriately.
Some of the above activities are usually done by System Administrator and users are not given permissions.

  • Oracle Apps 11i - Pasta Setup for Barcode print in rdf file

    Hi All,
Since last some days i am trying to setup Oracle Apps 11i to print barcode reports (RDF files)  from concurrent manager.
If anybody have any idea about how to configure pasta to print post script files which support barcode, please suggest.
I have already read many documents but not able to do that. In one of pasta document i found that, pasta support two type of TrueType font. One can be used for regular text and second can be used (bold) for barcode printing. But it shows barcode font as a regular font.
    -Thanks.

  • Using FIND icon in Oracle Apps 11i

I have a custom 6i form in Orcale Apps 11i which uses a search screen to find matching records. Once I open up the main form, I want to be able to go back to the search screen using the FIND icon in the toolbar (right below the Edit button). I am not sure if I have to modify the custom.pll library to do that? How do I achieve that functionality?

    Hi,
I would try this question on an Oracle Applications forum here on OTN.

  • Migrating Apps 11i to new server

    Hi Guys,
I have recently been appointed as the DBA at a site that ran Apps 11i for more than a year, without as much as a patch update. Suddenly they needed clones, and all sorts of things to happen. Instead of taking a 3 month patch by patch process, does someone have a methodology, if I build a new server from scratch, install SuSE Linux 9, then a blank 9i DB, and the new patched application layer on top of that, can I "clone" the current system to a new server, data only - is there a white paper / methodology around I can use?
    Tx
    Willis

I beleive in your case you can easily make the clone by applying the rapid clone patch on your 11.5.9 instance. Check the metalink note Note:230672.1. Since you are on 11.5.9 and autoconfig enabled there won't be much complication.
we had a similar kind of situation with one our client. Their hard disks crashed and don't have backup of application tier. What they have is database backup.
    What we did is :
-Made a fresh installation of apps withe same instance name and paths
-backedup the new database to different path
-Restored the old database of crashed instance from backup and got the llist of all patches applied previously
    - Remove the restored database.
-again restored the fresh database backedup
    -Applied all the patches
    - Restored the old database of crashed instance from backup
    - Did all customization and workarounds

  • Setting a report as a background

    Hi ALL
Please give me the clear steps how to set a report to run as background with variants using sm36 and sm37 (if possible with example)
    By
    Prashanth

You can use SM36 and use the "Job Wizard" to define a background job in simple step by step procedure
    Or
Goto SM37 and specify a job name.
Next specify the ABAP Program Name of the report you want to execute under Job Step.
Then click on "Extended Job Selection" and goto the Period Tab.
There select "Only Periodic Jobs" and then specify the frequency of execution based on Months, Weeks, Days, Hours or Minutes.
2)you can execute the report in background in SM37 , there are two options , one is as said using f9 or you can make SY-BATCH eq 'X'.
if x run the report or exit from the program.
so this way you can execute the report in background and check the spool in sm37
In order to restrict the user to run it only in background , you can as well check for SY-BATCH condition.
The other way is try to remove "execute in foreground" option from the menu and this can be done with the function module .
Do reward points if useful and close the thread if the doubt is cleared

  • Install instructions for Search Modeler and integrating with Apps 11i

Below are all the steps I took for creating integrating Search Modeler with an Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 ATG RUP 7 instance called ERNIE.
Much thanks to Oracle Support ( Rajesh Ghosh, Vikas Soolapani and Roger Ford), as this simply wouldn't have been possible without them.
There are a few things in this document that may not be pertinent to your environment if you're doing this. I've made attempts to clarify those possibly optional sections in the documentation.
I've broken the document down into the following multiple parts
o Setting up a new RedHat 4.8 x86 server called ausSEARCHdev (The server is in AUStin, TX, is dedicated to SEARCH, and is for our DEV environment)
o SES (Secure Enterprise Search 10.1.8.2 install
    o SES 10.1.8.4 patchset install
    o SES CPU patch apply
o Standalone OC4J and ADF installation
o Search Modeler installation and configuration
o Configure ERNIE Apps instance to be on valid self-signed SSL certificate
o Import ERNIE SSL certificate into SES and Search Modeler
    using aussearchdev initially

So, creating a self signed SSL certificate for ERNIE EBS instance (this will not work if you use an SSL certificate for another server like say, PROD)
    doing this on ausernieapp
    openssl genrsa -des3 -out ausernieapp.key 1024
    PEM key is ausernieapp
openssl req -new -key ausernieapp.key -out ausernieapp.csr
    PEM key is ausernieapp

    Organizational Unit Name Information Technology
    Common Name ausernieapp.domainname.com
    Email address [email protected]
    No challenge password
    No optional company name
Now let's remove the passphrase from the key
    cp ausernieapp.key ausernieapp.key.orig
openssl rsa -in ausernieapp.key.orig -out ausernieapp.key
    Now let's generate a self-signed certificate
    openssl x509 -req -days 1000 -in ausernieapp.csr -signkey ausernieapp.key -out ausernieapp.crt
Install the private key and certificate
    cd $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf/ssl.crt

Below are all the steps I took for creating integrating Search Modeler with an Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 ATG RUP 7 instance called ERNIE.
Much thanks to Oracle Support ( Rajesh Ghosh, Vikas Soolapani and Roger Ford), as this simply wouldn't have been possible without them.
There are a few things in this document that may not be pertinent to your environment if you're doing this. I've made attempts to clarify those possibly optional sections in the documentation.
I've broken the document down into the following multiple parts
o Setting up a new RedHat 4.8 x86 server called ausSEARCHdev (The server is in AUStin, TX, is dedicated to SEARCH, and is for our DEV environment)
o SES (Secure Enterprise Search 10.1.8.2 install
    o SES 10.1.8.4 patchset install
    o SES CPU patch apply
o Standalone OC4J and ADF installation
o Search Modeler installation and configuration
o Configure ERNIE Apps instance to be on valid self-signed SSL certificate
o Import ERNIE SSL certificate into SES and Search Modeler
    using aussearchdev initially
    rh4 x86, default oracle build

    OC4J - http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/oc4j/101330/oc4j_extended_101330.zip
    ADF - http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jdev/htdocs/adfinstaller10133.html
    OC4J install
First you need to have Java 1.5 on the machine. Latest is 1.5.0_22. Package is in /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES
    as root on aussearchdev
    cd /usr/local
    cp /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin .
    chmod 700 jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin
    ./jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin
    yes
install OC4J just by copying over the directory
    as oracle on aussearchdev
    mkdir -p /d01/oracle/oc4j
    cd /d01/oracle/oc4j
    cp -r /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/oc4j/* .
    ADF install
    vi /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf/adfinstaller.properties
    change the following
    OracleHome = /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf
    DesHome = /d01/oracle/oc4j/
    type = OC4J
    as root
    cd /usr/bin
    rm java
    (yes)
    ln -s /usr/local/jdk1.5.0_22/bin/java
    su - oracle
java -version     should now return 1.5.0_22
    export JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/jdk1.5.0_22
    cd /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf
    java -jar runinstaller.jar -version
returns The version for the ADF libraries being installed is 10.1.3.41.57 - yes, that is apparently 10.1.3.3.
    java -jar runinstaller.jar adfinstaller.properties
output looks good, do not be concerned by
WARNING: 'Could not delete: /d01/oracle/oc4j/BC4J/redist/bc4j' whilst deleting bc4j application
WARNING: 'Could not delete: /d01/oracle/oc4j/BC4J/redist/datatags' whilst deleting datatags application

So, creating a self signed SSL certificate for ERNIE EBS instance (this will not work if you use an SSL certificate for another server like say, PROD)
    doing this on ausernieapp
    openssl genrsa -des3 -out ausernieapp.key 1024
    PEM key is ausernieapp
openssl req -new -key ausernieapp.key -out ausernieapp.csr

    Organizational Unit Name Information Technology
    Common Name ausernieapp.domainname.com
    Email address [email protected]
    No challenge password
    No optional company name
Now let's remove the passphrase from the key
    cp ausernieapp.key ausernieapp.key.orig
openssl rsa -in ausernieapp.key.orig -out ausernieapp.key
    Now let's generate a self-signed certificate
    openssl x509 -req -days 1000 -in ausernieapp.csr -signkey ausernieapp.key -out ausernieapp.crt
Install the private key and certificate
    cd $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf/ssl.crt

    ./adapcctl.sh start
    In IE
    https://ausernieapp.domainname.com:8443

Install Certificate -> Next-> Place all certificates in the following store -> trusted root certificate authorities ->finish
    close browser, back to https://ausernieapp.domainname.com:8443
    no errors,

  • Oracle 10g AS  pacth for Oracle Apps 11i

    Hi everyone,
I have installed Oracle 10g AS (10.1.2.0.2) for Oracle Business Intelligence on Sun Solaris 10 (64 bit) and integrated it with Oracle Apps 11i (11.5.10.2).
Everything seems fine but i am facing problems like
    1) Toolbars not appearing correctly sometimes like it is disabled and enables by itself.
2)sometimes clients come accross "Connection with Server lost..." error while taking export (very few).
    3) Its giving the error (mentioned at the end) only on one client machine while taking export to Excel.
I have tried installing Oracle 10g AS patch set 2 10.1.2.2 for Solaris but the problem persisits. Is patch set 2 compatible or certified with Oracle Apps 11i? if not then is there any other work around or do i have to wait for some new patch.
    Thanx for your inputs.

    Hi
The last I heard is that 10.1.2.2 is not yet certified for use against E-Business Suite unless your operating system is Linux. Please take a look at this posting on Steven Chan's blog: http://blogs.oracle.com/schan/2007/04/23
The issues you are encountering, particularly the one with the toolbars disappearing, were fixed in patch 5345528 as described on my blog here: http://learndiscoverer.blogspot.com/2006/08/more-to-toolbar-icons-graying-out.html
I would advise you to go for this patch first until Oracle certify 10.1.2.2. for Sun.
    Best wishes
    Michael

    Hello Violet03,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
I would recommend a few things here. If you havent already restart both your computer, and the iPad.
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesnt work then close all the apps that are running on the iPad with this process:
From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
Tap and hold on the app.
When it starts to jiggle, tap the to close it.
Double-click the Home button and try opening the app again.

And if the issue persists it might be a good idea to backup and restore your iPad in iTunes with this article.

  • I do not see where to enter IP addresses in the Open VPN setup. Also, how can I set it up so that I can choose different servers in the same way as I can currently choose them with my VPN app but for PPTP?

I think I have it working on my iPhone 5. But, I do not see how I can control the exit point that I would like for the VPN. Are all the exit points shown in the VPN setting now going to work with Open VPN, or do they remain PPTP? If I am reading correctly, they look like they remain PPTP. If I cannot control the exit point for open VPN, which exit point is the default in the profile you provided me?I note that Open VPN Connect does not work with any of the new 64 bit devices like the iPhone 5S, the iPad Air, and the new iPad MIni. Is there any chance that you guys will come up with an update for your app so that open VPN can be made to work on all iOS devices? That would be nice, particularly if the Open VPN Connect app does not give me a choice of exit points. Thanks,

Just a quick note to tell you that Open VPN has updated their app so that it is compatible with 64 bit ARM devices like the iPhone 5S, the iPad Air, and the iPad Mini Retina. That does not resolve the problem of how to easily choose among the various possibilities for the exit server. We need to find an easy way to choose.

Thank you for trying the new Firefox. I'm sorry that you’re unhappy with the new design.
I understand your frustration and surprise at the removal of these features but I can't undo these changes. I'm just a support volunteer and I do not work for Mozilla. But you can send any feedback about these changes to http://input.mozilla.org/feedback. Firefox developers collect data submitted through there then present it at the weekly Firefox meeting
I recommend you try to adjust to 29 and see if you can't make it work for you before you downgrade to a less secure and soon outdated version of Firefox.
Here are a few suggestions for restoring the old design. I hope you’ll find one that works for you:
*Use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ Classic Theme Restorer] to bring back the old design. Learn more here: [[How to make the new Firefox look like the old Firefox]]
*Use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/the-addon-bar/ Add-on Bar Restored] to bring back the add-on bar. Learn more here: [[What happened to the Add-on Bar?]]
