Hope I can resolve this problem ASAP, thanks!Your AD is in the Staff Vlan so maybe the WLC uses the Staff interface instead of management to contact the AD. I don't know how you sniffed exactly.
The comment about eap methods you saw is when you use LDAP with dot1x security. It is the same as saying "You cannot do peap-mschapv2 or eap-fast-mschpv2 with LDAP".
But you can do LDAP for web authentication, that has no eap methods.
Your original problem was a binding problem from the WLC, so we can expect that the WLC really is sending traffic towards AD. -
No prompt for authentication when trying to connect to VPN
Using OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5, I created a new VPN Cisco IPsec connection with the native VPN client.
I can manage to connect, whereas colleagues of mine (same network, same configuration, same operating system) can.
The point is that I'm never prompted for the password to connect to the VPN: the prompt window simply doesn't show.

If I'm not wrong, the window requesting the password should open after the line I highlighted (that's the behaviour we noticed on my colleagues' macbooks), but it doesn't.
Does anyone knows how I can fix that problem? Thanks for your replies.Did you find a solution to this? I have searched for several hours and found a few references to this behaviour (same people) but no resolution.
Same issue for me, I see the "enter your user authentication" dialogue box, but there are no text boxes to enter credentials, only OK or CANCEL.

Apple 2 step verification for app purchases - server cannot connect
Seen a news article this week where Apple ID was having failures, now 2 step verification done not work when entering the correct code. I get a server error.
Will Apple ever create its own version to help secure iCloud, Apple Mail, iTunes, so on? I would really like to see this as an optional security feature.
You can make feature enhancement requests directly to the Apple folks if you like. Here's a link to the iTunes product feedback form:

ManiprabuHi Mani,
Follow the following steps :
1. Create RFC destination for both the systems on CRM and R/3 in SM59.
2. Create the logical systems and assign clients to logical system in SALE transaction both on CRM and R/3.
3. Create a user in the R/3 table CRMCONSUM with the name CRM.
4. Maintain the Middlware Parameter tables on CRM : Table SMOFPARSFA:
Create an entry for following parameter entry:
Key - R3A_COMMON
Para name - CRM_DEFAULT_DESTINATION
Value - R/3 logical system
5. Maintain the parameter tables on R/3 system : CRMRFCPAR, CRMPAROLTP
CRMRFCPAR :
Create new entry with following data:
User - CRM
Object name - *
RFC Destination - RFC destination for CRM
Load types - All Load Types
In Queue flag - X
Send XML No XML
CRMPAROLTP :
Create the following parameter entry:
Para name - CRM_DEFAULT_DESTINATION
User - CRM
Value - Name of the CRM logical system
6. Create Sites and attach subscriptions in Admin Console : Tcode SMOEAC
Create a Site as CRM and another as R/3. Attach the required subscriptions to the R/3 site.
7. Register the queues in SMQR and SMQS transactions.

In Client you need to install .net framework 3.5 and Crystal Run time to run reports.
in the client make sure the shared directory is accessible from run without any password
and in the add on go to report properties and set the path to the shared folder .rpt files and apply changes
use OLE DB connection

I'm having some trouble with authentication to guests from my Hyper-V console.
If I try to connect from the Hyper-V Manager to the console of any guest, I get the error:
"A certification authority could not be contacted for authentication. If you are using a Remote Desktop Gateway with a smart card, try connecting to the remote computer using a password. For assistance, contact your system administrator or technical support."
I'm not using an RDG and smart card.
I have 2 virtual networks. The first is Production, the second is Isolated. Production has 2 NICs attached to the Production LAN, the second has 2 NICs in our DMZ. The host is a member server of the production domain. I can use MSTSC from the LAN or the DMZ
to gain access to each Guest and the Host.
The issues start if I try "Connect" from Hyper-V Manager in an attempt to use the console of any Guest. Each attempt fails with the above error. If I use an incorrect password, I get a different error: "The credentials that were used to connect
to {Server FQDN} did not work. Please enter new credentials."
Taking a look at the the event logs, I can see the session successfully authenticating to the Guest (4776 Credential validation and 4624 Logon), and the fact I get a different error if I enter an incorrect password show I get some way along the line. However
if I take a look at the logs on the Host, however I get:
An account failed to log on.

This event is generated when a logon request fails. It is generated on the computer where access was attempted.
The Subject fields indicate the account on the local system which requested the logon. This is most commonly a service such as the Server service, or a local process such as Winlogon.exe or Services.exe.
The Logon Type field indicates the kind of logon that was requested. The most common types are 2 (interactive) and 3 (network).
The Process Information fields indicate which account and process on the system requested the logon.
The Network Information fields indicate where a remote logon request originated. Workstation name is not always available and may be left blank in some cases.
The authentication information fields provide detailed information about this specific logon request.
- Transited services indicate which intermediate services have participated in this logon request.
- Package name indicates which sub-protocol was used among the NTLM protocols.
- Key length indicates the length of the generated session key. This will be 0 if no session key was requested.
Which looks to me like a blank authentication request is being sent? (I've not deleted any machine/domain names, they're just not present)
Any suggestions? Do you think I'm barking up the wrong tree?
Thoughts and comments gratefully receivedHi,
What’s your guest system platform, base on my experience that must be the not supported guest system issue, the generation 2 vm only support the Windows 8 or 8.1 platform.

Dear all,
I am looking to setup the use of active directory userid/password authentication instead of SAP R/3 User/Password for digital signature. We SSO to the backened ABAP AS via an SAP NW Portal to which SPNEgo kerberos authentication is setup. Today we specify R3 user id/password to digitally approvae a lot release. The idea is to have users maintain one AD password and don't have to remember the R/3 password anymore and also our Security team to avoid password maintenance.
I know there are 3 options for digital signature and
System signature with authorization by user ID and password (We use this currently)
Digital User signature with verification - (We would like to use this with AD userid/password, so the system still ask the users their AD userid/password for the authentication when they try to "sign" a document.)
User signature without verification
Do you think there is a way to configure the system in order to ask and check the active directory userid/password instead of SAP R/3 password? Where can I found documentation about it ?
I have several different versions of AS ABAP starting from NW 7.02 to NW 7.31.
My active directory is based on Windows 2008.
Thanks in advance!!
DheeActually enabling Kerberos for SSO purposes and enabling Kerberos for digital signatures are two different topics although the latter is because of the former. I'm interested in the topic as well and I'm currently looking at different options. SAP provides a BAdI for the digital signature API which can be used for external authentication but they do not provide the solution to invoke Kerberos authentication based on username and password. SAP provides a semi solution with NWSSO 2.0 SP2 which works only on Windows with classic dynpros meaning SAP GUI for Windows is assumed. The solution is based on an ActiveX component which does the actual Kerberos authentication using the Secure Login Client which is part of the NWSSO suite. Extending that implementation to non-Windows and non-GUI applications would require some sort of web enabled service that could be used to authenticate the user with username and password. In case authentication is successful, a Kerberos token would be returned to SAP which would then be validated. All the required pieces are there since SAP has Kerberos support now in both stacks of the NetWeaver Application Server, some bits are still missing though which leaves customers looking at 3rd party or custom solutions.

Hi, I have the iPhone 4, 32GB, version 4.3.5 (8L1) and for some reason when I connect it to the laptop, it starts synchronising but never goes beyond step 1. It goes on syncing forever, without actually doing anything. I have tried everything, wiped the phone numerous times, deleted all files from the laptop but still no resolution. As a result, the phone does not really synchronise.
This started somewhere in May 2011 when I upgraded what proved to be a problematic s/w version and the phone has not recovered since.
Now I cannot update the iPhone s/w any longer.
Any clue? You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

In our AD, all users have a network home that is set (smb://home for example). For some of our Mac users using AD for authentication, there is a 1-2 minute delay between entering their credentials and the OS being presented. The OS does not present itself until the user dismisses the alert: "There was a problem connecting to server home".Local users on the same machines do not have that problem.
It remains in the dock as User's Network Home as a ? that I am unable to remove, and there is also a 'Unknown' in the log-in items for the user as well (that I am also unable to remove).
Is there anyway to disable this share? Or to stop the Mac from trying to connect to it before loading the OS?In our AD, all users have a network home that is set (smb://home for example). Bell's next step was for me to connect to iTunes. I downloaded iTunes and can't figure out how to proceed from there. The basic info in the Apple site for "unlocking" only addresses a SIM card that doesn't work. My SIM card is correct. How do I go on from here? Thanks,
Bell should have given you instructions, but in case they did not here is what you do:
Put a Bell SIM in the phone. It does not have to be a currently active SIM, but it must have worked on Bell at some time in the past.
Connect the phone to your computer with the USB cable.
It should appear in iTunes. Click on its name.
Click the Backup button.
Click the Restore iPhone button. When prompted to restore the backup choose that option.
The phone will reload iOS. If your current iOS version is not 7.0.4 it will update to this first. If that happens when the update finishes click Restore iPhone again.
If the process succeeds you should see the message: "Congratulations. Your iPhone is unlocked". If you don't get this message wait a couple of days and repeat the whole process again.
Note: to unlock the phone you do not have to Restore as New. Restoring and reloading the backup will work also. -
Unable to create SASL client connection for authentication mechanism [PLAIN
I have problem to use dscc to admin my ds/dps servers, since I the dscc can't contact dscc agent. Though the agent is running on the default port number with network-bind-port of 0.0.0.0, there is nothing I can do to fix it.
