Can anyone let me know about the steps required to develop an application in HFM 9.3.1......Bcoz i am a fresher ,recently joined a company as a developer but want to migrate to HFM.......SO PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT
1- WHAT TYPE OF DATA WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE CLIENT?
2- WHAT ARE THE STEPS WE HAVE TO PERFORMED AS AN ADMINISTRATOR?
3- FOR WHAT PROCESSES WE HAVE TO WRITE RULES IN RULE EDITOR?
4- WHAT SHOULD BE THE SEQUENCE OF STEPS REQUIRED TO DEVELOP AN APPLICATION?
5- ANY OTHER INFORMATION WHICH IS NECESSARY FOR DEVELOPING AN APPLICATION?

Hi, all you need to do is refer the HFM Admin guide, which you could download from Oracle document library.
You could also refer to HFM user guide.. you will be able to find step-by-step process of creating an application in HFM.

Hello Stephen
You need to use SAPGENPSE to create the keytab file and PSE file again. We need to generate keytabl file everytime after changing anything with Service User.
In addition,
1. also add credentials to the credentials file (cred_v2) using command:
./sapgenpse seclogin -p <keytab File Name>.pse -O <sid>adm
You need to entre password of Service User as PIN.
2. Verify entries in credential file using command:
./sapgenpse seclogin –l
The path ../<keytab File Name>.pse should be readable to “devadm” user.

Minimum steps required for Change Management and Incident management

Hello experts,
Does anyone have a check list of the absolute minimum steps required for getting Change Management and Incident management functioning in Solution Manager.
I just need it to function with creating changes and incidents and be able to assign them, change their status and close them.
The purpose is to get an idea if this is something for us to use. If we then find it useable, then we will go for a full scale implementation using official guides, education etc.
I just need an absolute minimum guide for demonstrating the functions, and if you guys have any recommendations, things we should pay special attention to or other experiences feel free to tell me.

Hi there,
At our company we recently begun working on a project using Oracle ADF with
UIX. We got the Oracle JDeveloper 10g handbook and we did a 5 day Oracle ADF
course. A good way to start the project I think.
One thing that bothers me though, is that I cannot find a simple clean example
how to manipulate a record in the DB, going through all steps of MVC. I tried
this forum, the books we got and google. It usualy explains a small portion
of the steps needed, but never a complete example.
I know people will probably say you can design what you want in various ways
and that's its all up to the developer, this is also the power of ADF that it
can be very flexible.
However it would be nice to have a step-by-step example how to be able to insert,
edit and delete a record. Showing all the steps that have to be made in the BC4J,
struts and UIX, including creating triggers, seq, autocommitting etc.
I think ADF is pretty complicated, therefore having a step-by-step example guide
(design pattern) would be very handy for a beginner like me.
Do such guides exist, are there developers who created such a guide for themselves?
Would other developers find such a guide useful? I'm curious about everybody's
opinion.

Have a look at the ADF Workshop - it doesn't use UIX rather it uses JSP but I think it will give you the basics.

Steps required for Sender IDOC adapter PI 7.0

Hi all,
My basis guy has installed SAP EHP1 for PI7.0 for handling the idoc packaging(sending idocs in packs)...
Please can any one let me know the further settings required in PI after it has been installed...
and even when i open the sender IDOC in comminication channel in ID i am able to see only 3 options
Transport prtocol, message protocol,Adapter engine...
But i am not able to see the other fields...
Can any one help me...

Could you please let me know if i can get the book in Singapore since our project, because almost 90% interfaces are related to IDOC...
And request you if you can share me the steps required in PI to confirgure IDOC packaging for EHP1...

Help required in developing SQL developer extension

Hi,
We have a requirement to develop an extension for Sql Developer. The requirement matches the Reports framework in Sql Developer.
We need to have a separate dock as in reports where we can navigate through the tree and execute some predefined queries.
I implemented this using the Docking Sample of Sql Developer extensions. I am able to show a separate dock with the tree hieararchy of the nodes and adding context menus to the nodes.
But , the problem is how do we integrate this UI with the queries and how do we prompt the user to select the connections and other bind variables.
We can do this by using an XML file and importing it in the reports. But, we need a separate dock for our functionality.
I tried modifying the reports API by obtaining the code from the oracle.sqldeveloper.report.jar . But , facing problems while compiling the modified code to a jar.
Any help in this regard is appreciated.

Create a variable for posting period
Put posting period in column.
Create 2 selections for the KF.
Restrict 1st sel from Jan Variable-1
Restrict 2nd sel from Variable Dec

BPM steps required.

BPM steps required...
Idoc to ,Proxy and JMS(2 receivers,JMS 1 and JMS2) scenario....totally 3 receivers
JMS 2 has to wait till JMS1 reaches receiver....then JMS2 should reach receiver..
what are the steps i should put in BPM.....
Please remember that there is no need logic for PROXY...no need of waiti time aswell...only JMS2 receivers required....
can some one tell me step by step, what are the steps required to do so...
