  • Steps to configure R/3 system to Portal implementation

    Hi
Please provide steps to configure R/3 system to Portal implementation
when i m opening standard iview in ESS in portal i m getting following runtime error.
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Failed to resolve JCO destination name 'SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics_MetaData' in the SLD. No such JCO destination is defined in the SLD.
    Please help
    Thanks

    Hello Bhupinder Singh,
To use ESS/MSS services in Portal follow the following Steps
    Maintaining jCo Connections
    Use
jCo connections are used in iViews to connect directly to a backend. They are delivered with the portal content and must be activated (configured to access a specific system).
jCo connections have two parts: one with <jCo name>, and the other with suffix <jCo Name>_MetaData. The first one transfers user-specific data within the scenario; the other transfers only the needed metadata. For the jCo with name <jCo name>, SAP Logon Ticket is recommended as an authentication method. For the metadata connection, a user ID and password is needed. A system user created before is sufficient.
    Procedure
Within this guide we generically describe the step-by-step procedure for an example connection set. Perform all steps for the following jCos:
    u2022     SAP_R3_Financials / SAP_R3_Financials_Metadata
    u2022     SAP_R3_HumanResources / SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData
    u2022     SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics / SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics_MetaData
    u2022     SAP_R3_Travel / SAP_R3_Travel_MetaData
    u2022     SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics_MetaDataFIN

  • Configuring SAP Credit management interfaces in PI 7.0

    Hi all,
I am working on PI 7.0 instance and have an issue while trying to connect Accounts receivable accounting with SAP Credit Management.
Did anybody configure this kind of interfaces (Credit cOMMITMENT & Credit Payment) so that they could be integrated with PI?
If so, could you please tell me the steps to configure the mappings and CCs in IR and ID?
i am following SAP Credit mngmnt config guide, but there is no info regarding this.
    TCODES are: UKM_TRANSFER_ITEM & UKM_TRANSFER_VECTOR
    Best regards,
    David

    try sapsr3.<table> instead of sap<sid>
SAPSR3 is the schema now. Once lock is removed , try to login with sap*/ddic with master password which you gave while installing.
    Thanks

  • Error while configuring SAP authentication in CMC

    Hi,
I am trying to set up SAP authentication in CMC to a SAPBI system to which I am able to connect successfully in Designer and Voyager. I have the SAP Integration KIT also installed.
As a first step I created Entitlement and then filled up the options tab ( Have checked the option Automatically Import Users).
But when I click on Role Import Tab, I get the following error.
    com/sap/mw/jco/JCO$Function
Is it because I need to install SAP JCo? Please suggest.
If I need install SAP JCo is it freely available? Which version has to be installed?
    Any suggestions will surely help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Suma

    Same issue here.
Business Objects Enterprise 3.0 is installed on a dedicated machine.  I have followed the documented installation procedure, step by step, but I am still facing two issues:
#1. SAP Authentication does not work.  When trying to log into InfoView using SAP Authentication, I get the following error:
    Account information not recognized:
CSecSAPR3Binding::XRFCCnxBroker::BorrowConnection() failed. See following log entries for details.
Failed while trying to log on to SAP system.
The following RFC error was returned: [Group, Key, Message]:
[103, "RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE", "Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)"].
The entitlement system has therefore been disabled in memory.
This may be because the SAP system is unavailable or because the credentials are invalid.
The entitlement system has to be re-enabled before it can be used again.
#2.  BOE is unable to import the SAP roles (from CMC SAP Authentication configuration).  The application throws the following error:
    An error has occurred:
    com/sap/mw/jco/JCO$Function
I am using JCo v 2.1.8.  sapjco.jar was extracted to C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\common\lib and sapjcorfc.dll was extracted to C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86.  librfc32.dll was installed in a prior step by the SAP Front End, and the file exists in C:\Windows\system32.
    Any other ideas?

  • " Steps to create a universe from R/3 "

    Dear  Friends ,
Can any one let me know the steps to create a universe from R/3 .

    Hi,
you must install Enchancement Pack 4 on your SAP ERP system in order to be able to build a universe based on an infoset query.
If you do not have EHP 4 (not sure if it is officially released yet) you can only use Crystal Reports to report directly on SAP R/3 tables.
You will need to SAP BusinessObjects Solution kit (a.k.a SAP integration Kit) to be able to access OLAP cubes from the SAP BW via universes.
R3 data cannot be accessed via Webi, only if you go directly againt the database hosting the R3 tables (there will be thousands of tables though I believe).
I would think Crystal Reports is passing a SQL statement to the SAP R3 database and a universe could be built to re-create that SQL statement. Such a universe would be really hard to build (I should know - I build Oracle E-Business Suite universes all day), but not impossible.

  • Can we configure SAP server installed in RHEL in windows sapmmc?

Can we configure SAP server installed in RHEL in windows sapmmc(Which is also sap server with same version and same DB)?
I have tried to configure using help from previous post in SCN ( SAP MMC in one server to control the entrie landscape ) but it is not working...  As picture shown below after entering the details am clicking on add but nothing is happening...
Scenario is I have installed 4 VM's with SAP installed in all (out of it 3 linux and 1 windows) & all communicating well and they are in same Network/Landscape & I can configure/manage/logon all servers in host GUI... But If I shutdown my VM or a Laptop...  Every time I have to start all the servers... by starting lsnrctl, DB, sap for all the servers,
Is there any chance to configure sap in windows sapmmc...???
Kindly suggest the process step by step...
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi Yüksel
