  • Error in creating IAC iviews

    Dear All,
We are trying to create IAC iviews but getting error.
    Environment details:
    OS: AIX 5.3
    DB Oracle 10.2.0.2(UC)
    Application EP7.0 (SPS14)
    Backend ECC 6.0 SR3
We followed the below mentioned steps:
    01) Created one Internet Service ziactest in se80 with the parameters -
    ~transaction = tcode and ~generatedynpro = 1
    02) Published the 'complete service' to the site INTERNAL.
    03) Created one sub element under /sap/bc/gui/sap/its as ziactest
    04) Modified the service ziactest as :
    - specified "GUI Link" = Yes
    - specified following GUI Configuration parameters:
    ~WEBGUI = 1
    ~SINGLETRANSACTION = 1
    ~NOHEADEROKCODE = 1
    ~TRANSACTION = tcode
    ~GENERATEDYNPRO = 1
    - specifed handler as CL_HTTP_EXT_ITS
    05) save & activated the service
When trying to test the service, we are getting a script error "Error on Page": wgu_global_eventhandler is null or not an object and the page displayed - is getting distorted . Also, system is specifying that: "The URL
http://gcbeccd:/sap/public/bc/its/mimes/system/page/menubase.html was not called due to an error."
When tried directly with the above url, the following error is getting displayed:
"The following error text was processed in the system RD3: The theme extracted from PAGE/MENUBASE.HTML has more than 2 characters."
Please note that: The SAP GUI for HTML has been configured and working properly. Also, the SAP note 790727 has been applied to resolve this problem but no result.
Any help in this regard will be highly appriciated.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sudip

    Hello Sudip,
If the webgui service is working then there should be no reason for this to not work.  By specifying ~webgui 1 you're actually not using any template you've created for the ziactest service.  The URL should be:
    http://gcbeccd:/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/ziactest
    Please also try:
    http://gcbeccd:/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?~transaction=tcode
Please also publish the IAC, WEBGUI and SYSTEM Internet Services from SE80 to the Internal ITS.
You should look at the developer trace (dev_w#) for the Dialog Workprocess that is used and reporting the error for more information.

  • Steps to create RFC iview

    Hi ,
I am new to create RFC iview,
So please let me know steps to create RFC iview and one Example.
    regards
    mmukesh

    In its simplest steps:
1 Create an SAP system in the system landscape - don't use Conenction String as the type.
    2 Give it an alias.
3 Set permissions so your administrators and endusers can access the system.
4 Use the RFC iView creation wizard and select the system alias and your RFC.
5 Make sure you do step 4 as a user who has RFC access to the SAP system.
    6 Test it!
Please note that changing the RFC iView after creation is a little messy. You might be better off using the Visual Composer - it is much neater at displaying RFC table data than the RFC iView.
    Cheers

  • How to Create an IView on EP 6

I have installed EP6 and the SAP Web AS using the sneak priview edition . We have to get certified on SAP in two steps :
    1. running our J2EE applications on the SAP WebAS which we have completed successfully .
    2) Build a Iview which would access our data which lies in an Oracle Database . (The Priview edition had to be installed with SQL Server but we want to grab data for the Iview from our Oracle Database).
I have very little time left for getting Certified . What would be the best way of getting this done . <b>I need to build one main Iview to grab our data from our Oracle database to present one of our significant reports.
Do i need to have the DQE running for this ?</b>
With so much documentation it has been very confusing for me and i have been unable to get the right steps to proceed with this implemenation . I am new to the Certification and also not a Java Developer.
    Thanks
    Ravi

Hi Ravi, below are the steps to create the iView. I have not done this with Oracle but this is the theory.
Please assign points if this helps.

The steps to create the JDBC Query iView are as follows.
    Login as System Administrator,
Navigate to System Administration>System Configuration>System Landscape
    Create a new system,
Choose JDBC System>Assign name etc>Open Object for Editing
Under property category choose: “Connection” & assign,
    Connection Timeout = 60
    Connection URL =  jdbc:sap:oracle://<YOUR_ORACLEHOSTNAME>:1521;SID=<YOURSID>
    Driver Class Name = com.sap.portals.jdbc.oracle.OracleDriver
    SAVE
Change the Property Category to: “Distributed Query Engine”
Enter the admin user\password to the oracle database.
    SAVE
Change the Property Category to: “User Management”
    Choose admin,user
    SAVE
Now change the Display category to System Aliases
Enter a system alias for the system.
Go to user management and assign your login details to the system alias you just created.
Go back to the system in the system landscape and right click and choose connection tests.
Test your connection, at this point if it fails check & re-check the above steps. Ensure that the passwords etc that you provided are correct.
Once this is done all we now need to do is create the JDBC connection iView.
Go to Content Administration, create a new iView using: JDBC Stored Procedure iView>Assign name etc>Choose the system alias we just created>Find your function(You will need DBA to create this for you)>Choose your result set value, Open the object for editing> Click preview. You should see the result from the function (Stored Procedure)

  • EP IAC iview javascript object required error

    Hi,
We have installed EP 6.0 SR1 and ITS 6.20 with service pack 19(with hotfix) in one domain. We have created IAC iviews in Enterprise portal. We are accessing the enterprise portal from different domain and we are getting javascript error <i>object required</i> sometimes. This error comes while loading the IAC iview and it comes randomly. But when we access the portal from the domain where we installed the portal & ITS we are not getting this javascript error.
Did anyone encountered this type of error before???.
    Please help..
    Regards
    Vasu

I am assuming this is happening after you have deployed your app and that the app works as expected on your development computer(?). Please confirm...
I need you to tell me the following:
    1) how was the app compiled; any cpu, 32 bit, 64 bit?
    2) how was the CR runtime deployed (what MSI / MSM did you use?)?
    3) if this app is installed under custom app pool see the following:
Deploy the CrystalReportViewers13 virtual directory as a sub-directory of your application.
Copy the Crystalreportviewers13 folder to be a sub-folder at the root of your application. You can configure where your application looks for this folder by using the following Help file [SAP Crystal Reports .NET SDK Developer Guide
    |http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/sapCRVS2010/en/crnet_dg_2010_en.zip] and search the document for ("web.config";). In the section "Configuring your web.config file" follow the instructions specified for setting the resourceURI attribute. This way you can control updates to the viewers when deploying your application.
Note the resourceURI value is the name of the viewers directory and should be preceded with a Tilde
    ie value="~/crystalreportviewers13"
Also, have a look at the following two articles. Both are pre CRVS2010, however the ideas re. deploying to a custom app pool still apply. All that changes is the folder name.

  • Steps to Create Web Dynpro iview

    Hi,
i created web dynpro application using Netweaver Developer Studio.
Now i want to show that on portal.
so please let me know the steps to create web dynpro iview.
    regards
    mmukesh

    Hi,
Logon to portal with administrator uid/pwd. Content Administration->Portal Content. Right Click on the folder 'Portal Content' and select 'iView'->'New'. In the Template Selection, select 'SAP Web Dynpro iView' and click 'Next'. In the 2nd step, provide iView Name and iView ID and a prefix.
Salect 'Java' in the 3rd step. n the 4th step, select the System (WAS System), give the project name of your webdynpro, like, local/ABC_Project in the WebDynproNameSpace and the Application Name. An iView will be available now.
After creating an iView, you should create a page and add the iView to it. Then create a role and add your page to it. Then assign this role to your user. Set the role property 'Entry Point' to true.
Then when you log into the portal you'll see your role in the top level navigation, click on it to see your iView.

  • ESS Bus. Pkg EP 6.0 SP19 to R/3 4.7 ext.2 - IAC iView Problem

Given the above components, I've deployed the ESS business package to the Portal. All components deployed successfully... no errors. I'm creating a new Role (custom, not from BP) and I'd like to use one of the iViews from the Business package in this role. I'm using the "Enrollments" iView which seems to be an IAC iView calling PZ14.
Now the problem... when I access this iView via the Portal, ITS is called and the iView loads but only shows me the Easy Access Menu (SMEN). PZ14 never loads. I can enter PZ14 in the transaction field and it will load but it doesn't come up on its own. I also created a SAP GUI for HTML transaction iView to test PZ14 and that one works fine. To meet the customer's requirements though it must look "pretty" ... like the IAC iView does.
The only thing I changed on the iView was the system alias. Changed it from SAP_R3_HumanResources to SAP_R3 (this is the proper name of the system I'm using to test).
    Any ideas?
    -Kevin

This has been resolved. Oddly enough, I inadvertantly added /webgui/! to the end of the ITS Path definition in the system object. This was causing the afore mentioned behavior. Once removed, the iView behaved as expected.

  • How to create an Iview in BI 7.0?

    Hi Experts,
i want to create iviews in Bi 7.0 but can not find how to do that.
I n the older version i could create a query and said save als Iview.
Could you please explain the steps.
    1. how to create
    2. where to store
    3. How to open
4  How to publish in portal or to open als URL?
    Many Thanky for the Informations
    Cheers
    Gilo

    Hi Gilo,
In iView defines the integrated view, which is going to give all integrated sourcesystems information to portal.
The Portal Content Studio provides a framework for creating iViews in 3 ways.
    1.iView wizards
    2.Copy&Paste actions
    3.Content mirroring tools.
    Creating iView Instances Using Copy-Paste
    Use
You can instantaneously create new iViews without a wizard (see Object Creation Wizards) by copying existing iView instances using the portal's Copy, Paste, and Paste as Delta Link actions.
Both paste actions (Paste and Paste as Delta Link) create new iViews that are delta links instances; however, the relation of the new object to the one being copied differs. This difference is illustrated in the figure below.
&#9632;       The Content Mirroring tool can also be used to duplicate content. Delta links are generated between the original and copied objects. See Content Mirroring.
&#9632;       To view the delta link source objects and dependents of an object, use the delta link tracer. See Tracing Delta Link Dependencies.
    Procedure
You use the Copy with the Paste and Paste as Delta Link actions with iViews just as you would other object types in the Portal Catalog.
For general usage instructions and a description of the commands, see Copying an Object or Folder (Copy & Paste).
As the first step you have to navigate to the right Portal Content folder, where you want to add the BI report as Portal iView.
Then you have to create a new iView using the context menu: New -> iView
Now you see the iView Wizard. In the first step you have to choose “iView template – create an iView from an existing iView template” as source type.
In the next step you have to choose the iView template “BEx Web Application iView”.
Then you have to provide an ID (technical name of the Portal Content iView), a description, the iView ID Prefix and the master language of the iView.
Then you have to choose the version of the BEx Web Application. If you created the Web Template using the Web Application Designer based on SAP BW 2.x/3.x, you have to choose the appropriate option. If you have created the Web Template using the new Web Application Designer based on SAP NetWeaver 2004s, you have to choose the option SAP NetWeaver BI 7.x
In the next step you have to type in a prefix (depending on the version of the BEx Web Application) and the technical name of the Web Template. If you have used the SAP BW 2.x/3.x Web Application Designer version you have to use the prefix “TEMPLATE_ID=”. If you have used the Web Application Designer based on SAP NetWeaver BI 7.x, you have to use the prefix “TEMPLATE=” (e.g. TEMPLATE=MYTEMPLATE_ID).
In the last wizard step you can check your entries, you have made before. You can also set the flag “Open for editing, when wizard completes”. Then you can directly work on the BI iView to do some further adjustments.
After pressing the “Finish”-button in the iView wizard the iView properties show up. There you can select the property category “Appearance – Size”. For the property “Height Type” you should select “Automatic” in order to avoid scroll bars on the portal page later on. Save your settings and close your BI iView
In the next step you want to add your newly created BI iView to a page. Therefore you have to first navigate to the page you want to add the new iView (or you can create a new page). Then you have to open the page via the context menu &#56256;&#56518; Open &#56256;&#56518; Object
To add the iView to the page you have to navigate again to the newly created iView. Via context menu you can add now the iView to the page: Right-mouse click on the iView &#56256;&#56518; Add iView to page &#56256;&#56518; Deltalink. Afterwards you save the page.
Finally you can do a preview to have a look at your new BI iView that is integrated into the portal page. Depending on the result you can adjust the page layout.
As a result you will see the BI iView on your portal page.
Before you can create a BI iView in the Enterprise Portal, the system connection and the alias of the BI system has to be defined. This can be done in the System Administration of the Portal &#56256;&#56518; System Configuration &#56256;&#56518; System Landscape
Also the user mapping to the BI system has to be maintained (in order to use single-sign on). This can be done in the user administration &#56256;&#56518; Identity Management

  • How to create an iview for ABAP Webdynpro Application in Portal?

    HI,
I am Webdynpro Java webdynpro developer.
I want to create an IVIEW for an ABAP Webdynpro application in the enterprise portal.

The process is almost exactly the same as creating a Web Dynpro Java iView. You simply chose the ABAP instead of the Java radio button when you reach that step in the Web Dynpro iView creation process.  There is a video on the topic here:

  • IAC iViews - Save old status

    Hello experts,
I have a problem with the ITS Service in portal side. if I hace two pages, page1 and page2, and this pages are IAC iViews for the same ITS service, and I perform this steps:
    1) open page1
    2) press a button in page1, that will show more information
    3) open page2
    4) open page1
When I open the page1, in point 4, the status was not the same that I got when opened the iView for the first time, but with the content that I got after I press button.
How can I fix this? I want that, when I open the page1 in 4th step, I get the same content that in step1.
    Can someone help me?
    Thank you
    BR
    Joao

    Hi,
Which transaction are you using on your ITS service? You can define two services, one for edit and another one for view. On first step you run first service and on fourth step you run second service.
    Hope this helps,
    Iván.

  • Problem when testing ITS (IAC) iView

    Hi all,
I have created a service for a T-Code:SMEN.When I test this service I am able to see the 'SMEN' screen, but in the command box if I type any t-code, say "SE38".
The entire screen refreshes but it is not taking me to "SE38"..
I have complete authorizations for all t-codes.
In this service I have the below parameters:
    Parameter Name value
    ~TRANSACTION smen
    ~GENERATEDYNPRO 1
I have created a IAC iView with this service and even in the preview of this iView, same thing happens.
Can any one give some direction in solving this ..
    Thanks in advance
    sethu

Michael is right - you should not be using an IAC iView, but a SAP Transaction iView with the SAP GUI type set to "Web GUI".

  • IAC iView in Portal

    Dear all,
We have an IAC iview which uses the internet service BBP_POC in SRM. This service is to display purchase Orders. When we want to display the versions of a PO, the iview triggers another Internet service BBP_POC_DISPLY. But we are getting an error message that the service is not available:
URL http://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/BBP_POC_DISPLY! call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
If we observe the above URL, it has '!' at the end. It shoudl instead have '/' or noting at all. But how do we correct the error, since this call happens dynamically by the internet service BBP_POC. There is no iview created for the second service in the portal.
    Nny inputs are welcome.
    Thanks a lot.
    Ramya.

    More info:
If i create an iview out of BBP_pOC_DISPLY, and execute it .. it gives me the message "interface contians errors". This might be because it uses the source of BBp-pOC. ANyidea if this error is linked to the previous error " service not available?
    Thanks a lot.
