Stereo drivers

Can you install say 30.87 stereo drivers and run the 4072 vga drivers and still have stereo properties? I heard if you put the 4072 drivers you loose the ability to change your stereo properties. Could someone fill me in?
I would like to see if I cant get my 3d glasses working in XP

I tried using that feature too but if you look at your video adapter properties I'll almost say that it says that your video adapter is still using the 4072 driver and everything else is like it was. This was what happened to me. My suggestion to you unless some one else replys is to do this go into control panel and remove your video adapter then go to add and remove programs and remove your video drivers and stereo drivers. And reinstall everything just like it was.And you should get your stereo tab back. The last video driver that will let you keep your stereo properties are 4041 I believe so dont put any higher number than this.Stereo drivers that work with the 4041's are the 3087 stereo drivers.So if you would want to D/l them before you remove your other ones you could. Man I hope this helps you out!

  • MSI TI4800SE - Stereo Drivers

    I am not happy. I just spent $200 on this video card and it seems I can't use my X3d glasses with it. When I loaded the new drivers (both the graphic and stereo) the stereo properties tab disappears. Has there been a fix for this yet?

    Smokey87,
    I do not know if you will get any better benchmark scores or not but you should gain better stability.

  • Stereo 3D Revelator

    Hy,
    is it possible to use my old 3d Stereo Glasses with my new graphics card MSI G4Ti4200-8x 128MB DDR. (I have MSI k7N2 Delta Board and AMD Athlon XP 2600 CPU, two 512MB Ram, WinXP)
    The glasses worked with Elsa Erazor III (Riva TNT2) a long time ago! With newer drivers I couldn't make them work, which they don't do now too. I installed Stereo Drivers and Card Driver fist from MSI, then tried Nvidia. No idea what to do now.
    No help by MSI-Support  X( (I got a standard answer, and after replying there, nothing ...)

       More surgery applied to nVIDIA files!!
       This time, I have looked into nvcpl.dll of Detonators 40.41, anf this is what I have found:
       - "Powermizer" is only available for GeForce4 Go.
       - There is a diagnosis tab for GeForce4 Go too, enabling temp monitorning and automatic underclocking for GPU saving.
       - There are two different Hardware tabs, wonder what's for each... they both look the same.
       - Still some settings hidden at hardware tab: aperture size (info), depth of request queue (automatic, manual), enable fastwrites (on/off), enable write combining (on/off) and enable 2D command buffering (on/off).
       - nForce integrated GF2MX tab, some settings for tweaking frame buffer. (Those of you who use integrated VGA, are supposed to have this tab showed).
       - If your VGA's advanced settings crash as soon as you open it, rename NVRSxx.dll to NVRSxx.back (xx are the two first letters of your language name). You don't need to set your local settings to US English to fix it!!
       - If you are not using US English as your local setting, rename NVWRSxx.dll to NVWRSxx.back (xx are the two first letters of your language name). This way you will get the whole nView dialog, full of tabs and settings, not an ugly dialog with only two tabs and a few settings.
       - There are lots of bitmaps not shown, wonder what the h*ll are they for.
       - Stereo drivers are included!!, but I find no way to enable them.
       - Some tabs and dialogs for GF3 with HomeCinema, but they seem to be almost useless.
       - Registry keys for Detonator has changed, some of the previous tweaks will need a rework. NvRefresh and other tools like that wont work (until they release new versions). Anyway, Coolbits still works, at least.
       - and that's all, folks. More news soon.
       And some personal opinions:
       - nVDVD seems to work better (if possible!!) with this release, can't explain the way it's better, but I feel the force in it
       - Collapse feature of nView is great, nVidia should thought of it sooner!!!
       - Mmmm... OGL1.4 support, DX9 support, sounds GREAT...
       - "Inmediate mode optimizations for Solid Edge", that's cool!!! I really like SE, and use it a lot, so this is a five stars enhancement for me!!
       - Cool control panel UI, but I still miss a lot of settings, hope that Unwinder surprise us soon with a new release of RivaTuner.
       - No problem installing them over 30.00. People with control panel crash, read above the way to fix it.
       - Sideband still disabled, nVidia states that GF4 and GF4MX support sideband, but maybe MSI has disabled it at BIOS or somewhere else.
       - Looking lots of forums, hardware news sites, overclockers sites, nVidia fanatics sites... ALL PEOPLE IS REPORTING A HUGE IMPROVEMENT IN PERFORMANCE!! So, nVidia is telling us the truth.
       - nVDVD 1.71 released...
       -  Hidden tabs available (http://www.nvnews.net):
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak]
    "Coolbits"=dword:ffffffff
    "NvCplEnableHardwarePage"=dword:00000001
    "NvCplEnableAGPSettingsPage"=dword:00000001
     "NvCplAllowForceTVDetection"=dword:00000001
     (new D3D refresh rate over-ride at D3D xtra settings, new AGP tab (don't work for me), extra setting for TV out and extended coolbits)
       And all of these in a official-beta release (It still sounds strange to me: "official-beta"). I think that the "absolutly official" release will be exactly this drivers but WHQL, just a CAT file included in the pack...
       I think that nVidia cuts the performance of their GPUs by software, this way, when any other GPU maker (any other GPU maker? I mean ATI, of course) releases a new chip that could play with nVidia GPUs at the same level, nVidia releases new Detonators that make our VGAs jump to a higher level. Doing this from time to time, nVidia will allways be a step beyond. Like a cat playing with a mouse.

    I bought a G4 MX460 in September 2002 and I have many problems:
    1.it does not give any TV out with the LATEST MSI or Nvidia drivers. I had to go back to (old) version 2.7.2.0 of the VGA driver to make it work. This card will not give TV output if you are using the following (new) versions of the VGA driver, 2750, 2890 or 2940 or 3100 ?
    2.it dosen't work with any drivers version for video capture(nVidia WDM Video Capture drivers) I have digital camcorder JVC that it's working very well on the USB port...but dosen't with Video In. • 3D output

    Hi,
    I have a MSI GX740 laptop and I was thinking of buying a 3D TV, but I can not find enough info about the laptops HDMI out.
    Can it output 3D so I can game and play movies in 3D on the 3D TV (LG 50" 3D Plasma Smart TV 50PZ950W)?
    Can the DVD drive play 3D movies/games?
    I think the TV has to use HDMI 1.4 for it to work. I am pretty sure that the specs on the graphics card (ATI Mobility Radeon HD5870) state that it has 3D stereoscopic display/glasses support (Requires 3D stereo drivers, glasses, and display) but i do not know if that means that it would work with a new 3D TV with those shutter glasses.
    Can it be done with my GX740 or am I out of luck?
    Kind Regards
    Rasmus from Denmark.

    Sure, Premiere can deal with r3d footage just fine but it doesn't have any native 3d tools.
    I've used Tim Dashwood's Stereo3D Toolbox in FCP 7 and dabbled with it in Premiere (the new version supports Premiere, not just After Effects) and it's very good.  If you want to do any post-convergence or floating window work (or even digital zooming) it's essential.
    Still, I prefer the Stereoscopic Adjuster filter in Edius.  Have a look at their 3d QuickStart and you'll see what I mean:

    I have a pair of these,and would like to get them working.
    I have installed 43.45 video drivers and 43.03 stereo drivers and E-D's activator,but the thing still don't seem to be working. All I see is the glasses flickering. The medical test sceen shows up double too which I don't think is right. Could anyone offer any help? Thanks Gumby

    Zero issues with them!  Sorry Neihn but you are very wrong with this one..  First you state you can only use Panasonic glasses which is 10000% false now you are saying stick with panasonic so you don't have issues..  I have installed many many Panny 3D TV's and people ask what are other 3D glasses can they use and I point them right to the Xpand's 103.  Not one issue yet with all the people that have bought them.  More comfy then the panasonic's and brighter as well.
    Never had an issue with them and are well worth the money.  Check out amazon and all the reveiws people using them with the panasonic TV's without issue.

  • Fix to enable Stereo Mix in Sigmatel Drivers WinXP with Bootcamp 2.1 Update

    Hey all.
    After the update I lost my ability to use Stereo Mix mod in the Sigmatel Control Panel after Bootcamp helpfully rewrote over them (ARGH!).
    This can be very useful for recording your Computer Audio with Audacity, FRAPS or other recording software for blogs, training videos, Skype recordings, etc.
    After searching the web for updated drivers and getting frustrated in the process, I made my own modified drivers from the most recent Bootcamp Sigmatel drivers to have this function enabled again.
    Here is the link to the zip file with the drivers (instructions on how to install included in a Read Me file):
    http://www.divshare.com/download/launch/4407127-bd0
    Here is a comparison shot of the default panel and the one after I installed the modification:
    Hope it helps peeps.

    Bonjour! I saw your post and thats pretty interesting.
    I have a problem with my mac pro 2.33ghz 17".
    In XP when i try to record with the "line in" I get lot of
    signal like if the drivers were not switching from mic in to line in.
    I have to put my slider almost down and i get to much signal.
    when i play back the sound is distorded like digital distortion.
    I tryed on OSX leopard and the recording is fine.so it's not phisical.
    I did try to instal bootcamp 2.1 and does not want to instal.
    Anny suggestion? Thanks

  • MSI 975X with Realtek HD drivers - cannot adjust recordin levels, stereo mix gra

    Called MSI and they could not help me.
    Have XP and 975X Power up board. I know there is a shortcoming in the Realtek software drivers as per what I read on Google. Have not found a fix, wonder if others have.
    Recording Sliders (volume) are grayed out and not move-able (locked) for recording volume for anything except Master Volume.
    Cannot adjust line-in volume or stereo mix for recording.
    Ideas without putting in a 3rd party card?
    Thought I had this working once but perhaps I never did.
    Tried uninstall, reinstall, safe mode install, old drivers, new drivers, blowing away drivers, every checkbox under the sun. Thought I found a registry fix somewhere but I cannot find now.
    Thanks so much
    Peter

    Hello Peter,
    Quote
    Recording Sliders (volume) are grayed out and not move-able (locked) for recording volume for anything except Master Volume.
    This does not have anything to do with your mainboard.  It is basically a limitation of the Realtek Sound Drivers for Windows XP.  Google "Realtek Mixer XP" and look at the images you find.  No individual recording sliders to be seen, no matter what board. Here is an ASUS Example Screenshot:
    If you need to adjust microphone input volume, go to the Playback part of the mixer and scroll it to the right using the <> buttons until you find a slider for the jack you microphone is plugged in (compare picture above, I don't have an MSI Screenshot at hand).  You can enable microphone boost here and adjust the input volume.  The same is true for Line-In.
    In case of microphone problems, make sure you microphone is calibrated.  There is an application in the Realtek installation folders called "miccal.exe".  Run it to calibrate your microphone.

  • [CLOSED] snd-hda-Intel model mono/stereo and alsamixer issues

    DROPPED: I just installed the Windows disc that came with the laptop and the official drivers, while they work better (a 6 channel wav plays fine in the speakers, linux only plays 2 of them) the most important issues like mono output only in the headphones jack is repeated. It seems the hardware problem. I don't know how I break it, but I did.
    When I installed Arch linux about this laptop about two years ago everything was working OK. "aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Right.wav" (and left) played in the corresponding speakers and headphones. "alsamixer" used to have two volume control bars per control, for left and right.
    I can't pinpoint the moment but sometime in the last few months everything is playing as mono. Now alsamixer shows only one volume bar per control and "Master" can only to be (un)muted as mono. I can still mute the "Speaker" control individually using '<' and '>'. The "Headphone" volume control is ignored, neither volume nor mute work. And the strangest thing: when I mute the left Speaker it also mutes the headphones.
    I never did any alsa configuration and so I'm assuming the model auto detection is broken. I tried a few model= options without luck. The problem is the laptop is brandless (pseudo-olivetti 750). Perhaps with some luck someone can help me identify which model should I use.
    Physical Description:
    The laptop has to on-board speakers and two jacks on the front, one labeled with a Microhone (slash) two things I cannot recognize and  the other labeled SPDIF OUT (slash) Headphones. (I tried the only model described as 2-jack in the wiki guide without luck).

    Thanks for any help, I tried most of the models listed as ALC883 (and some others) without luck, is there any other option that could cause this issues?

    I assume the combination Vendor Id: 0x10ec0883 + Subsystem Id: 0x1584907e is what I should be looking for right?  Google gave me three resuts from alsa project's DB: http://www.google.com/search?q=0x10ec08 … e&filter=0 resulting in two more models to try:
    model=laptop (I'm almost certain I tried this already)
    model=lenovo
    I also didn't knew about alsa-info.sh so I downloaded, ran it and got this  http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=9f7e7 … bf5c3ad9ea including:
    !!DMI Information
    Manufacturer: Standard
    Product Name: L50IIX
    L50IIX seems to be a board made by Uniwill and used by various companies which adds even more possible models:
    model=uniwill
    model=uniwill-m31
    model=fujitsu
    model=lifebook
    model=fujitsu-pi2515
    model=fujitsu-xa3530
    It seems I have a lot of testing to do later, I will report back the results and hopefully will provide a solution for any lost soul who comes across this post in the future.  Thank you.
