Stereo Master Mix Export in Mono

I have created a STP v2.0.2 Multitrack Project as follows:
2 Stereo Tracks set to Submix 1; 2 Mono Tracks set to Submix 2, 3 Mono tracks set to Submix 3
Submix 1 & 2 set to Mono 1, Submix 3 set to Mono 2.
The Output Meter show Stereo output, and when I playback the timeline, the audio plays as it should, in stereo.
The problem is that when I Export the project, the end result is a single mono mix.
I have reviewed my export settings and the options look OK, but the output is mono.
If I change the submix to stereo, then I get a stereo output, but I don't get the tracks assigned as needed.
Can anyone tell me why my export with the subixes set to mono results in a mono file, and how can I get a stereo output?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

OK, After some experimenting I discovered that what was actually happening is that the first (top) Submix was over-riding the Master Mix output. If Submix 1 is set to output 1, then ONLY output 1 (ie. Left channel) was exported. Conversly, I Submix 1 was set to output 2 (ie. Right channel), then ONLY output 2 was exported. If Submix 1 is set to output 1 & 2, then both output 1 & 2 are exported.
So, the solution here is, the FIRST (TOP) Submix MUSE be Stereo, even if there are not tracks sent to it, in order for the Master Mix to be stereo. Otherwise, if the first (top) Submix is set to a single (mono) output, then the Master Mix will only contain tracks/submixes directed to the output or the First Submix.

How do I export a 2-channel stereo from a Soundtrack Pro master mix?

I'm using Soundtrack Pro to create a 7-track music mix for a live event in a few weeks. The mixing and balancing of audio levels went fine. But when I exported the project to an AIFF file, the resulting file had 6 channels instead of the normal 2, and its bit rate is 4233 kbps instead of 1411.
In SP I selected File> Export > Master Mix | AIFF File | 16-bit | 44.1 kHz
There don't appear to be any options regarding flattening the audio. So how do I create a normal 2-channel stereo AIFF file from my mix?

Never mind, I figured it out — the problem was that my Submix 1 was marked "1-6" instead of "Stereo 1,2" — problem solved.

How can I export 6 mono tracks and a one track two channel stereo pair in a quicktime as separate tracks?

I'm using Premiere Pro CC 2014 (8.1) and need to export a 5.1 mix as well as the stereo tracks as 7 separate tracks in a quicktime. If I select 8 channels it automatically creates 8 tracks. Also, if I export the the seventh stereo track as mono track won't it play mono?

First of all thanks so much for the response and info. Just to clarify, you're saying I will need 8 tracks, 2 of which will be designated for the stereo pair, right? My concern is that I'm supposed to deliver only 7 tracks. They want the stereo pair as separate channels on one track. I'm wondering if I can create a one track stereo pair and put it on a stereo track, then export only the seven mono tracks (plus an empty track). Would the stereo still work?

Problem Exporting Master Mix

STP beginner. I'm trying to export a master mix, but I only want to export a few tracks of a multitrack project. I muted the tracks i don't want in the mix. Some of the tracks I mute are longer than the tracks i want to export but when I export the "master mix" i get the tracks i want, but i also get the "dead" space between the end of my selected tracks and the longer muted tracks.
Any suggestions?

Highlight the tracks you want to export by control clicking on them. Do an export, but choose "selected tracks . . ." in the pull down under "master mix". Choose a file type and a name and you're all set. Just the tracks you've selected will export.

Capture and Export of Mono Audio in FCP HD

I have just upgraded to FCP HD from FCP 3. My problem is all of my audio needs to be Mono only. In v3 this was simple I just chose Mono from the capture settings and Mono for Export.
On FCP HD I can't find any way to capture and export as Mono. When I record Voice Over in FCP all I get is the right channel and even when I set it to pan centre it still only comes out the right speaker after export.
If I've got to manually duplicate tracks everytime it will take me forever.
Anybody know a simple way to capture and export Mono only (the same for both Ch 1 + 2)

This might seem the long way 'round but it may save a ton of time in the end.
Do your FCP mix in stereo as Colin suggests, then take the final audio track into STP or Peak and do a "mix to mono" and then save a new AIFF file with the resulting mono clip.
Then bring that back into FCP on a new audio track, line it up with the stereo, then either disable or delete the stereo tracks. This will give you a true mono audio track.
But where are you going with this content that will handle mono audio? DVDs require a stereo AC3 files. Are you sure you really need a mono sound track?

Playing multiple stereo channels out one single mono channel tia sal22

I have a vi which creates multiple stereo audio signals
in labview 8.6.1 and I would like to play all of the stereo channels out one single Mono channel
is this possible? I tried setting all the device ID's to the same thing but a lot of clicks and pops occurred. Basically I'm trying to play and mix all the signals out one mono channel at the same time.
Please note I would like to have each signal that is created played over
the mono channel at the same time.

Just add the arrays if they have the same length. Use the standard add function (like in 2+2=4). Then arrays are added each index is added together

Exporting dual mono

I must be missing something... I record voiceover audio on track 1 (left channel only - using Tascam US-122). Sounds great within Soundtrack Pro. But lately, when I export this as a dual mono file, the left channel sounds completely hot. How can I export dual mono without having the levels so out of whack?

I figured it out; the audio default for new projects in FCPX is surround. Without even going to the project, but just being in the Project Library, you can select one of the porjects and in the information window it shows the project properties, and the ones my issue existed in were each in Surround. I simply hit the "wrench" in the corner and changed Surround to Stereo. My only question though, is why would a mono track panned center (and plays back center during editing) end up hard right in export? Also, why does the same Surround project in Compressor correctly end up with mono tracks centered even if the Surround project remains in Surround?

Correct way bounce a master mix from Logic?

I've been trying to bounce a master mix straight from Logic using AdLimiter (and in some cases multipressor) in the master output. I must be doing something wrong, because I always end up with totally mashed, pumping and overdriven bounced mixes, even with just a 2-3 dB AdLimiter gains.
I've previously used setup on PC where I bounced a dry mix, loaded the bounced mix to Soundforge (or similar editor), normalized to 0dB, then added Waves C4 and L1 (in that order) and used maybe 5dB gain with L1. Then render.. and that way I got a nice loud "master mix".
I now don't have access to waves plugins nor an external wave editor. So I figured I could do pretty much the same in Logic, if I monitor the mix, so that the master output doesn't clip, but peaks stays at around -0.5dB, so that I don't really need to normalize. Then I add Multipressor and AdLimiter in that order and start tweaking. But I'm not doing something right here, because now I get a very quiet (and limited?) signal, because I have previously had to lower the master output volume to prevent clipping. Any gain over 1dB I do to AdLimiter makes the mix sound like crap. Plus the whole mix is now -6dB or so, because of the previous volume limiting to prevent clipping.
That was a bit of a long story, but I hope someone understands the question I tried to ask.
But in short, I'd like to bounce a nice mix which is compressed and limited to be around -5 to -7 dB louder than the original mix. What is the correct way to do this?

You might want to check out other mastering plugins. I'm not a big fan of the AdLimiter. Universal Audio's UAD1 (http://www.uaudio.com/) with the Precision Limiter gives very nice results. There are also some nice compressors available for the UAD1. Another possibility is buying the waves L3 to do the limiting, but this plugin is relatively expensive. Both options aren't cheap, though, but they will give better results than the Adlimiter.
by the way: Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) is a nice freeware audio editor. Nothing fancy, but it works.

HR Master Data Export error

Hi all,
I'm working at a client where we upgraded from 4.6 to 6.0. This client has never used the master data export program.
I'm trying to configure the master data IDOCs, but I'm having an error when running the program RPCEMDU0_CALL. It refers to an OSS note back in 2001, so that really does not apply to this installation. The problem seems to be with function module HR_PU12_UPDATE_T532K_T532L on IT0106. Some sort of data dictionary discrepancies. I haven't been successful in finding any newer notes related to this.
Has anyone experienced this problem before?

Thanks for your response. I looked at that OSS note but it doesn't seem to be realted to the problem I'm having.
The error reads:
"Export program terminated A009
Export program obsolete, regeneration required
Do not regenerate immediately: First make a $STRUC_P0106 back up of the include
PERNR N 000008 000000
(See note 375108) This include is very important if old cluster IF records"
I've re-activated the program and interface formats, but still getting the same error.

Can someone throw some light on the transaction PC00_M10_OTEM - Create Master Data Export ?
I need to know on what criteria it fetches the data for various infotypes. Its not picking data from IT0041 , what could be the possible reason ?

The program that creates the IDOC is RPCOTM** where ** is your country version.
The results of the OTSEL feature are checked in RPCOMF** and then the routine FILL_DATES(RPCOTFX0) is called to write the IDOC.
Debugging in this area will tell you...
1. Is the OTSEL value for IT0041 set
2. Was there a change in the dates for your period
3. What is being written to the IDOC

Master Data Export - PC00_M10_OTEM - Information

Does anyone know where or if there is any detailed documentation on using the standard delivered Master Data Export program? We are currently using it in production but have questions as to what/when/why certain information is picked up passed to ADP.

What triggers an IDoc to be created for an individual?
How does the program pick which items get included in the IDoc?
How do I trouble shoot why information came over, why some information keeps coming over or why some information isn't coming over?
We keep seeing unexpected things coming over in our IDocs even though nothing was changed.

PC00_M10_OTEM - Master Data Export

Hi,
Whenever there is a change in any of the tax infotypes ADP is expecting do receive all tax infotypes. This functionality is not supported by SAP through PC00_M10_OTEM - Master Data Export. All we are sending are infotypes that were changed.
PC00_M10_OTEM - Master Data Export has a checkbox for sending all infotypes for all employees but thats also not what we are looking. We need to send all tax infotypes for an employee even though only one is changed.

Other options are
#1 to develop an adhoc query for this requirement. Create four query with IT0,1,207,208,209,210. One will query the change date for IT207, second query will check only for IT208, 3rd only for IT209 and 4th for IT210.
Then use union command to combine the output.
#2 To develop ABAP report with same above logic

Payroll Idocs- Master Data Export - US( PC00_M10_OTEM )

Hi,
I have one issue with the IDocs created by Master Data Export- US Program.
Program Name : RPCEMDU0_CALL
Tcode : PC00_M10_OTEM
The Idoc's which are being created by this program having some wrong values for Benefit Infotypes.
Can anyone help me to know how the Idoc's are created and where the Idoc segments are getting filled with the data in this Program?
I have debugged the program but did't get any clues.
