Stereo playback for iPod shuffle?

Does anyone know if the iPod shuffle plays back in stereo? Iron Maiden just doesn't sound right, without the guitars coming out off each side!

Any powered speakers will work with the Shuffle or you can connect to a receiver/amp/etc. with a mini-jack to RCA cable.
If you search the threads I posted a link awhile back about a speaker set made for the Shuffle.

Volume limiter for ipod shuffle?

Have been reading about Apple introducing a user-definable volume limiter for ipod nano's and fifth gen ipod's.
Anyone know if this software is going to be made available for ipod shuffle's? (You could adjust the settings for it from within itunes)

I was wondering about i0S5. I updated both my iPhone and my son's iPod Touch.
We are on the same account together.
I sent him a text message and it shows up on his phone as coming from Dad (me).
But on my phone, I get a two text messages popping up from me also.
If my son replies from his iPod to me, it comes to me twice again.
What am I doing wrong?

Stereo playback in IPOD nano

I got a new ipod and when i play a song on it the stereo seems to be not playing properly. the same song when played on my PC has that stereo playing so very well.
By stereo i mean sound which can be differenciated between Left ear an right Ear. Does IPOD nano (3rd gen) not support stereo playback. help me if any setting changes ave to be made for this to take effect.

Can't rate podcasts to order playback on iPod shuffle 4th generation

I have an iPod shuffle 4th generation with VoiceOver and listen to many podcasts. I like to use the rating system (5 stars, 4 stars, etc.) to order the playback.
This has worked well on my iPod shuffle 2nd generation, but the Rating column does not respond when I add podcasts to the Podcast section on my 4th generation iPod shuffle.

I would check out this Apple support document on how to delete music from your iPod. It sounds like you are trying to delete music as if you had your iPod shuffle set up to manually sync, but in actuality, your iPod shuffle is set to sync automatically, which requires a different method for deleting music from your iPod.

Splitter for ipod shuffle (2nd gen)

I am looking for something that will charge the 2nd generation iPod shuffle while outputting audio at the same time. A normal audio splitter doesn't work, I've tried. The contacts on a shuffle 3.5mm jack have 4 contacts where as the standard 3.5mm jack has 3, so a standard audio splitter wouldn't be able to provide power to the shuffle.
I am thinking there is some obscure online store to buy something that will work for this. I have searched far and wide to find such a device, but alas I have run out of places to look.

Have you considered the AirPort Express? With AirTunes, you plug the Express into the outlet behind your stereo (Or close to your self-powered speakers) and connect it to your network. Once connected, it will play directly from iTunes.
I offer this advice not knowing what you want to do besides charge and play.
Also, have you considered charging it with the USB cord that came with the iPod, and running a cord from the headphone jack to your speakers?

HT1481 How to find a driver for iPod Shuffle 2nd generation

Could someone please direct me to a place I can find a driver for a 2nd generation iPod Shuffle? In Windows 7 it says Device not Recognized, unknown driver. In device manager says there is no driver, I've tried everything. I would really like to use this again.

I'm confused... is your shuffle a white plastic thing that looks like a pack of gum, or an aluminum one with a clip.

If it's that new, Apple will replace it under warranty...however if it's a 1st Gen shuffle that's just that new to you, then it may be that the switch on the back is full of crud. Wish Apple would come out with a battery indicator for the iPod shuffle in the dock or pull down windows! Or maybe put a battery indicator in iTunes window under 'autofill', something to indicate the battery level and if it is charging or not. The idiot lights on the iPod are ambiguous and leave the user in doubt.

I don't however see the problem with the lights. When it is solid green it is charged. Solid orange charging but safe to disconnect. Flashing orange charging and in use (don't disconnect). Orange and green indicates error.

Changing registered owner for iPOd Shuffle

I just bought an iPOD shuffle as a gift for my friend's birthday. I wanted to give it to him pre-loaded with some of his favorite songs. He's not a registered iTunes user yet. If I register the product to myself and download some songs using my account, can he later re-register the product under his own name and under a new account? If so, how difficult would this be for me to do? (he's not very techno savvy). It wouldn't matter if the songs I had downloaded got erased in the process.

NOTE: The USB docking cable for the current 4th gen shuffle has a different connector that does not work with the 2nd gen shuffle. So make sure the product you get is described as being for the 2nd gen shuffle.
