Stereo tunes only play one channel and Internet hangs after 4.21 Install

My daughter recently updated her 2nd Gen iTouch to 4.21 which I assume is an operating system. On stereo tunes, now only one of the stereo sound channels plays (right side). On older monaural songs, both right and left earphones produce sound. Also, Internet hangs now after initial home page load. How do I either roll back to an older version of the OS or get fixes for 4.21?

It appears you've lost audio. I will try to help you with this.

Follow the document for the version of Windows installed on your notebook.
Make sure that you've updated the drivers, use the HP Support Assistant for this.

IPhone-only play one song then quits. After update

My Phone seems to have a problem where it only plays one song out of a playlist and maybe 2 seconds out of the next song and it quits the program and goes to the home page. The audio books don't seem to remember to start where they quit also. Worked fine before upgrade. Haven't tried to reset phone yet. Thanks for help.

Upon resyncing with my laptop this am the bug seemes to be gone and both problems have corrected them selfs. All songs play like they should and the audio books do remember where they stopped at.

In the bottom left corner of the iTunes window you will see 4 symbols starting with +
Click on the 3rd symbol and you can select whether to play one song - repeat play - continuous etc.
I suspect yours is set to play one song only.

My iTunes will only play one song and then stops.

In a playlist, my iTunes will play only one track and then it stops. Won't move to the next song, won't work in shuffle mode, just plays once and that's it! Any ideas? This just started a few days ago, maybe with a recent iTunes update? I'm in 11.0.3 (and of course, my AppleCare has just expired).

I would check to make sure that the songs in your playlist are check in the checkbox section. If they are not the songs will play and then stop once it is done playing like you have described.

This is MOST annoying!! When I play music from either library or playlists on my computer only one song plays and then it is done.It doesn't crash or anything, it just stops. I can click the repeat button till the cows come home and only one song plays--and doesn't repeat even if repeat song is checked. This is not a case of a playlist with "song preview" only playing the first song--this is any song, anywhere. Anyone else have this porblem? I have searched everywhere I could find and have not seen any reference to this problem.

Just to the left of every song is a little box. When you click it, a check mark appears in it and the box turns blue. iTunes will only "automatically" play checked songs. Unchecked songs get skipped.
So if all your songs are unchecked, iTunes will do exactly what you're describing it as doing. It'll play anything you tell it to, then stop, because it doesn't play unchecked songs unless you specifically tell it to play them.
Go to the Library, hit CTRL-A to select all your songs, then right click one of them and select "Check Selected Songs" or something to that effect. This will check all those songs and your problem is solved.

How do I go back to an earlier version of I-tunes? Since I updated to version 11.1.3.8 some stereo songs only play in mono and some only play through the front center speaker.

IPad speaker only plays one channel

I have a 3rd gen. wifi iPad 16 gb and just updated to iOS 7. Listening to the Beatles (who often had some pretty extreme stereo mixes) over the iPad speaker, I realized pretty quickly it was missing an entire speaker channel. The Settings/General/Accessibility/Hearing setting is NOT set to mono, and moving the slider to the left causes all the sound to drop out, so the entire left speaker channel is muted. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

You went to the first place I would have by checking the Audio Accessibility options. Next, if you have not already, restart the iPad and try again.
Restarting your iOS device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
After the device has turned off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Then close all the running apps, restart it again, and test the issue.
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.

And if the issue persists, I would backup and restore the phone with iTunes. First I would restore the phone as new, and test the issue. If it persists then that rules out software. If it works, then restore from your backup, and test again to see if there is something to do with the backup.

ITunes Library Only Play One Song at a Time After Upgrade to 7.2

Just upgraded to ITunes 7.2 this morning. After upgrade (on Windows Vista Enterprise operating system) ITunes Library no longer will play through the songs in the library. Try as I might to reset Controls, clicking on play gives me play of the single highlighted song but will not play on to the next song on the list, which it always did before. This is a BIG problem. Would appreciate any advice (knowing I've probably overlooked something simple) to solve this. Thanks!

that can happen if all the checkboxes to the left of the songs in your main library display have become unchecked.
if they are unchecked, hold down Ctrl and click one of the boxes to do a "recheck all".

Sounds like you turned on the repeat single song feature.
Go to now playing, then swipe right to left to get to the second screen. At this second screen you will see three icons. The one on the left looks like a loop and I am going to guess that there is a little "1" there on the loop. Hit that button until the 1 goes away. You will be able to find all this info in the online documentation for the Nano. That planb linked to above.

all of a sudden my itunes will only play one song and then stop and when i press the "next" button, it just stops the song playing. and now there are check boxes in front of each song and i dont know what it means? i just want to be able to put my library on shuffle and play through them!!

The check boxes have been there for as long as I can remember. You can see them in screenshots back as far as iTunes 1: iTunes Screenshots
The check boxes have a number of uses: iTunes: Understanding the Symbols Next to Songs
Unchecked songs will be skipped when playing songs from the library or a selection. They will only play when individually clicked on.
Smart Playlists have an option that unchecked songs won't appear.
Unchecked songs will not be burned to CD.
The iPod has an option to only sync checked songs
The Genius & iTunes DJ features will ignore unchecked songs
Basically unchecking is a way of telling iTunes to ignore the item and exclude it from other automatic features.

After much toing and froing on my new computer, I now have all my songs re-imported into the library. However, iTunes will now only play one song at a time: after it plays one song it just halts; the forward arrow is just greyed out. Any ideas would be most welcome!

Select all of the songs and right-click (or control click) and choose the option to check selection. It should put the check back on all of them.I think you can also shift click or command click in the box and it will do the same. (not sure on that)

I-tunes 7.7.1 only plays one song at a time

Hi, help me please.
My i-tunes is now only playing one song at a time, the song will end and i-tunes stops. It will not move onto the next song even when I've got the song as part of a gapless album. This has just happened, it used to work fine before.
I did uninstall and delete the version I had on my computer and downloaded and installed another however the problem still exists.
