Stickies for desktop thats looks like the Stickies widget?

So, yeah. Is there a way to modify the Stickies program to make it look like it does in the widget, like an actual sticky note? Sorry if this seems off topic. This was the best section of the forum I could find for it. Any help help would be much appreciated.

Also for the record I verified disk permission, fixed them and also ran the repair disk from with the normal OS as well as restarting into the utility mode.
And the volume appears regardless of the account type. I logged into another account just to see if it was only on my user and it shows up there too. When I boot into OSX it only shows up about 5-10 seconds after I get to the desktop.

HT3204 I updated my iphone 4 and now it won't turn on. All i get is the itunes logo and an image that looks like the charger plug.

I UPDATED MY IPHONE 4 AND NOW IT WILL NOT TURN ON. ALL IGET IS THE ITUNES LOGO AND AN IMAGE THAT LOOKS LIKE THE CHARGER PLUG.

Looking for a theme that looks like the default theme.

I'm looking for a theme that looks exactly like the default theme, but that doesn't use the colours of my gnome theme. Right now I'm using a dark gnome theme that looks great, but looks horrible with firefox. Anybody got any suggestions?
Alternatively, is there another way to make firefox ignore my gtk theme?

I don't like the way firefox themes look, I want the default theme, but without gtk coloring. Surely it must be possible?

How to create a version that looks like the "quick preview" image?

Is there a way to easily create a version that is similar in appearance (mostly apparent as saturation)to what is seen when hitting the P key and viewing the "quick preview"? I shoot raw (Canon .cr2) and find that for many of my shots, the "quick preview" would be a nice starting point, and often a fine end-result, for saturation. Any hints welcomed. Thanks. Fred

Thanks for your comments and I certainly agree with your suggestions. I was hoping that there was something that I was overlooking that would essentially work like a "lift/stamp" and let me find settings that were embedded in the camera generated jpg. I know that you know your way around Aperture, so if you don't have a trick up your sleeve, I think it's probably not to be found.

I have a thick grey bar that has suddenly appeared at the top of my viewing screen below the navigation bar. it has a symbol that looks like the add-on tool

The symbol in the middle of the bar is a box with an arrow in it and two small round cylinders on top.
If I right click on the bar and inspect element it returns object#SCB_Bar Then if I copy inner HTML element it gives me this info.

Hi! I would like to print out some manuals from the apple developer site for personal use, but I would also like to add more material to it. It would be nice to have all the pages the same style. Has someone a pages template for it?

The manual is a pdf so you can "tear off" a page or more from the pdf in Preview and drag those into Pages as a guide to copy the layout.
You may also be able to use Preview to copy and paste sample text to find the fonts etc. Can't confirm the formatting will come across as I am currently on a PC.

You mean the one with the green icon with a white chat bubble? If so, that is the messaging app for SMS or MMS. It doesn't exist on the iPad as the iPad is not a phone and therefore does not have SMS/MMS capability (though there are apps you can use to fake it).

Programs that put icons on my desktop - they look like little hard drives

I'm new to the iMac, so be patient with me please. I have installed Google Earth, Firefox and Thunderbird. Each of these software downloads have created an icon on my desktop that looks like a hard drive with their logo on top. These icons also appear in my Finder window with an eject button next to them. Why would I want to eject these? Doesn't eject refer to ejecting a CD or DVD?
Also, how do I go about getting these program to appear in my Applications folder so that each person in my family, when they login, will have access to them?

If you double-click the hard drive icons (disk images that act like CDs or DVDs), they will open up revealing their contents, in this case, probably the application installer's .pkg files. If you really have installed the applications successfully, you can click on the eject buttons to "unmount" them. If they end up in the trash you can empty the Trash. However, if you haven't actually installed the applications (they aren't in the Mac OS X disk/Applications/ folder) but have only downloaded the installer packages (inside the disk images), then double-clicking the installer.pkg inside a disk image should start the installation process.

Noob Question: Type That Looks Like Web Type

Can someone give me suggestions on creating type that 'looks' like the type generated by a browser. IOW: I've tried the various settings (crisp/sharp/smooth) and the type that I create in a GIF or PNG never looks as close to the same font in IE or Firefox text. This is not font-specific... any font.

I tried that and it's close, but then it's -too- jagged. Sorry to sound like Goldilox, but it's as though the 'sharp' is a bit too soft and the 'none' is a bit too hard. One problem (I -think-?) is that the font in the web page is specified in px but Photoshop type is (rightly) in pts.
Any more ideas? Closer, but not -quite- there yet.

Eww, thanks for your reply, as it makes good sense, and common sense is practical when you walk into an Apple store.
I guess all the reviews and great specs of the new MB pro's made me want one...
I should probably use my current setup till it is totally outdated or simply is beyond repair.
I could ask Santa Claus for one, but by than, the 2012's will be coming out..:)

That is from the Apple site. If all your friends have an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad you cang share with your friends, with is exactly like BlackBerry Messenger (BBM only works on BBs).
