Stickies launch at login but no note appears
Found many similar to this in discussions but not exactly:
Put Stickies (the app) in my login items.
App launches in dock successfully at startup (bounces, black arrow appears)
BUT no note appears until I click on the dock icon. I want my note to appear at startup to act as a reminder ... so I don't have to remember to click the icon to see my note.
I've deleted the .plist file, restarted, shown all notes, selected a note as default, don't have multiple monitors...
Ideas?
Travers, is it possible you accidently checked the "Hide" option next to Stickies in your Login Items?

I am connected to my hotel wifi network, but the login screen does not appear. I am able to access the login page on my PC, but on the iPhone it does not appear and just tries to connect to the webpage (e.g. google.co.uk), and eventually gives up. I've tried opening pages in Safari and Chrome, but none cause the login screen to appear. I have also tried trying to log into the login page that the PC opens when connected to the wifi, but the same thing happens. I am using a iPhone 3G with the latest iOS version 6.0.1.
Is there a way to make the iPhone try to open the login page?
Ben.I have the exact same problem as the original poster and I tried many times already the solution proposed by trstark66 and it's still not working. It's not working for both my iPad and iPhone 5. I'm using the latest iOS version available all the time. I have my iPad since 3 years and my iPhone since 1 years and I always had that problem. I'm an airline pilot so I'm always in hotels. I asked my colleagues who also have iPhones and iPads and they all have the same problems from time to time. And when I go in an apple store they all say that it's the first time they hear about that problem. I never have that problem with my PCs, my previous phone and my BB playbook. Only with my iPhone and iPad....since now 3 years...Always the same problem. I'm connected to the Hotel Network, I have an IP address but nothing popup to register with a user name, password or just to access the "I have read and accept the condition.../connect". And when I go in Safari or other Browsers, I am not redirected to a login page. All I have is a message saying cannot access the webpage because I'm not connected to Internet. I tried already hard resets, on/off Wi-Fi, automatic connexion off, forget this network, reset network setting...
My solution for now is to use my Boingo account. I connect to the hotel Network and then I use the Boingo app to connect to Internet.
But, sometimes it works the first time or suddenly for no reason.
Very funny, I was using Boingo on my ipad to write this message in my Hotel room because I was unable to use my free connection as usual. When I tried to press "Add Reply" it failed and I had the message "An error occured while trying to submit your post, please try again". The reason was that boingo was disconnected since I was taking too long to write this message. So I wasn't connected to Internet anymore. I opened a second tab in Safari and what did I see!... the login page to access the free connection from the hotel. This is crazy. Apple, you really suck with hotel/coffee hotspots... I tried for hours and nothing, now hours later I just open a new tab and it works. But tomorrow I know I will try the same and it will not work again. It shouldn't be that complicated. -
(I am on a different computer) When i turn on my macbook, the apple logo appears, the progress wheel moves, and it switches to the blue screen. Once there the login window does not appear and the mouse pointer shows up and fades soon after. Sometimes a progress wheel displays but it does not change anything. What can I do?
First, try booting the Mac in Safe Mode. To do so, hold down the shift key as you turn it on and continue holding it until you see the spinning gear below the Apple logo. Be patient -- booting in safe mode can sometimes take 10 minutes or longer.
If that does not work, insert the first of the two recovery DVDs that came with your computer and start the Mac while holding down the C key. Once it boots, run Disk Utility and verify both the disk and disk permissions. See if that solves your problem. -
I purchased seven songs from the iTunes store on my iPod Touch.They appear all in order on my iPod, but do not appear in my library, or on my iTunes purchased account history. I am trying to burn a cd with these songs, but cannot because they won't appear on the computer. Any help?

First off, I'm using Windows XP (and Mac SnowLeopard) Here's how it started. For some reason my ipod started showing up as a camera when I plugged it in. It works fine in itunes, though. But when I tried to access it from "my computer" it only

To show up in Windows Explorer, you can try placing the iPod into
disk mode.
Moreover, i recommend you to
restore ipod to factory settings.
If this issue still persists, locate to device manager, uninstall and reinstall USB Mass Storage Device driver.

I navigated to Summary tab (not Info Tab) and checked "Sync with this ipad over Wi-Fi"
I disconnect the wire,
and my iPad disappears from my iTunes screen.
in my iPad ->Settings -> General -> iTunes Wi-Fi Sync -> says " Sync will resume when (my PC) is available.
So, I can not sync via wi-fi

I have installed the font Broadway on my computer and it works in Microsoft Word but does not appear in the font list in InDesign. How can I fix this problem?
Start by rebooting the computer. If that doesn't work, search for adobefnt*.lst and delete all instances where * becomes a 2-digit number.

A lot of my songs, once put on the iCloud, will not download to my iPod. They are in my iTunes library, already downloaded, but will not appear in my library on my iPod. There is no common thread for the origin of the songs--many were ripped from CD's, others purchased in the iTunes store. Before I started using iCloud, all music in my iTunes library was on my iPod without any issues.
- Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck

Epson r800 prints, but does not appear in Printer List: can't use Utilities
My Epson r800 prints, but does not appear in Printer List. It is connected via USB to the iMac. A Brother LH-2070N is connected via AirPort Extreme. I need to use Utilities to clean the head of cartridge, check levels, etc.. Is there a way to fix this problem?
iMac Mac OS X (10.4.9)For your Epson try this:
Hard Drive, Library, Printers (folder), Epson folder,
Inkjetprinter folder, Utilities folder and here you
will find Epson Printer Utility2. Click on it and it
should work.
Note. Epson utilities will not work unless the
Printer is directly connected to the computer.
Had the same issue with my 2200 photo and the above
worked.
Tried again after reinstalling the drivers. There is no separate Inkjet Folder, but the Printer Utility is within the Epson folder. Unfortunately, the r800 still does not appear in the Printer List, hence no utility. -

An applet is a special kind of panel so you can just change "p" to "this" everywhere in init and remove the declaration of p at the top.
