Sticky keys on wireless keyboard

Question

almost every time using the keyboard on my Touchsmart 610-1188hk, it will suddenly insert several characters even though I only pressed that particular key once. Is there any way to stop this as it is a nuisance when I am writing letters or emails.

Hi,
Use the following steps to resolve the issue:
Pressing a key once types several characters
Solution 1: adjust the key repeat delay
If two or more characters appear when pressing a key, use the following steps to adjust the key repeat delay:
Click Start , and type keyboard in the Search box. Then click Keyboard under Control Panel.

The Keyboard Properties page opens.
Set the Repeat delay slider to Long . Click Apply , and then click OK .

If this problem continues, reinstall and update the keyboard software.
 Solution 2:Replace the batteries
Remove the battery access cover on the underside of the keyboard and replace the batteries.
Solution 3:Restore the original keyboard drivers
Use Recovery Manager
Click Start , click All Programs , and then click Recovery Manager .
If a User Account Control window displays, click Continue .
The Recovery Manager window displays.
Click Hardware Driver Reinstallation .

On the Welcome to Hardware Driver Reinstallation page, click Next.

In the list of factory-installed drivers, click the Keyboard driver to select it. Then click Next .

When the driver is finished installing, the Reinstallation is complete screen displays.
Click Finish to restart the computer.
