Sticky notes - defining color

i would like the option of not only choosing, but defining several custom colors for the sticky notes app. also i'd like to make them not only semi-, but all transparent.(not the text, but the backgrond color). is there a method to achieve this? through terminal? quartz composer??
(in fact, making the background color of any window of any application transparent would be interesting.)

iColor...
I think that you would have to hack the program itself, so you are much on your own when it comes to that. Maybe the Dashboard version of Stickies will suffice?
Anyway, my "hack" experience was with the clock.menu to change the background. I later decided on more of a "wood" theme. (See below link) By accident I allowed one of my images to become transparent and suffered the consequences of the inability to move the clock. (It refused to be dragged) So be warned that at times you need some color or get stuck in the woodwork.

  • Brighten Sticky Notes in Acrobat X?

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I couldn't find it.
I have Acrobat 9 on my desktop, and Acrobat X on a shared server, and use sticky notes to help mark sections of documents. These sticky notes are color-coded.
Sticky notes in Acrobat 9 are bright, primary colors, and are easily distinguishable when viewing them in "comments": it is easy to differentiate light blue from dark blue, red from pink, green from yellow, etc.
However, the same sticky notes when viewed in the "comment" view in Acrobat X interface all have a pastel hue to them, and it is very difficult to distinguish colors: what appears to be green may actually be blue, what appears to be pink may actually be red, etc.
Question: is there a way to "brighten" the color tone of the sticky notes in Acrobat X? They appear as bright primary colors when SELECTING the color of the sticky note in "properties," but when viewing them in "comments," especially when there are several sticky notes in a single document, they all just kind of blend together and it's very difficult to tell one shade from another.
Is there some kind of "classic" view, or a way to turn off the "pastel" effect of the sticky notes when viewed in the "comments" view?
    Thanks!

  • Color not defined

Hii when running many program in the CLI like VIM or anything else I get this error
Warning: Color name "black" is not defined
    What is it?

Your rgbpath in your xorg.conf is incorrect. See the wiki on xorg7 for the correct path.

  • How do I search for sticky notes in a PDF doc?

Several people (at work) have commented on a 440-page document that I created, using sticky notes to write their comments in. When I first open the document, the sticky notes are all closed. The icon for a closed sticky note is pretty small and not brightly colored, so they're easy to miss when scrolling through hundreds of image-heavy pages. I am hoping that it's possible to search for each occurrence of a sticky note.
If there is no way to search for the notes, is there a command I can use to open all the notes in the file (in one action) so that they are larger and easier to spot?
    Platform: Windows 8 PC
    Version: Acrobat 8
If this is not a feature available in Acrobat 8, is it possible to do this in later versions?
Apologies if this is not the right community for this question, but none of the ones listed seemed like the obvious choice, and there is no "miscellaneous" or "general" category. If there is a better community for the question, please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Joyce.

Out the gate you've a problem.
The Acrobat 8 product family passed into "End of Support" many years ago (well before the release of Windows 8).
"End of Support" means -- well, just that eh.
The Acrobat 8 product family is not compatible with Windows 8.1, 8 or 7.
The Acrobat XI product family is compatible with Windows 8 / 8.1.
Regarding Comment and Mark Up Annotations:
With Acrobat 8 Pro use the "Comments List".
Same wit Acrobat 9 Pro, X Pro and XI Pro.
May be available with the various versions' "Standard" release.
The contents of a Comments List can be exported to a PDF report.
The filter an be used to display specific characteristics / attributes which then become the reports content when you output a report.
Having "8" the Help PDF file got loaded with the install of "8".
Use it to review the information provided on the Comments List.
    Be well...

  • Compiling LittleCMS2, "Variable F_pow is not defined" at runtime.

I'm putting together a library for AS3 for decoding JPEGs with ICC-profiles, for this I use libjpeg and littlecms2. Libjpeg compiles and runs without problems, but with littlecms2 everything compiles, but I get runtime errors. First I got "Variable F_time is not defined", so I thought that time() simply wasn't implemented for some reason so I went in and removed that code since it wasn't necessary anyway, but now I get "Variable F_pow is not defined" instead, I know pow() works in my own library, but for some reason not in littlecms2. I tried adding "-lm" to LIBS in configure for littlecms2, but that didn't help either.
Anyone that could shed some light on what's going on?
    Full error for completeness:
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable F_pow is not defined.

I just figured out that this is due to me using that exports-flag, and I obviously didn't export those functions (math is dynamically linked for some reason). So yeah it compiles and runs now, but it is incredibly slow, decoding a 5000x4000 2MB progressive JPEG takes 1s, but somehow, "applying the color profile" using littlecms2 takes 9s which doesn't seem quite right to me (also given my testing with proper binaries). So I would assume this is simply due to the math library being dynamically linked and I assume the math calls then become expensive.
I fiddled around a bit trying to link it statically, but nothing seemed to help really.

  • MM_preloadImages is not defined error

Everything works fine in Firefox and Opera, but IE will not
load the flash file on the main page. If you click on the link to
"service page" in the Latest Projects section everything loads fine
once you get off the main page.
In FireBug, I get MM_preloadImages is not defined
    The url is
    http://test2.mediamore.net

Gad - turn that sound off!
Your page throws the error you describe -
    MM_preloadImages is not defined
    http://test2.mediamore.net/
    Line 1
    Here's the code -
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
    http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

    type="text/javascript"></script>
    </head>
    <body id="page_1"

First thing to do is to REMOVE the XML declaration at the top
    of the page.
Not only is it unnecessary, it will throw IE into quirks
    mode, which is VERY
    BAD.
Next, note that the body tag is calling MM_preloadImages, yet
    that function
is not defined on the page. You can fix this by opening the
    page in DW,
clicking in Design view, and then selecting <body> on
    the Tag selector bar,
looking at the "Preload Images" behavior listed in the
    Behaviors panel, and
then double clicking it to open the behavior's dialog pane.
    Now just click
OK, which will force DW to write that behavior's function
    definition to the
    head of the page.
Alternatively, you can find the javascript function
    definition in the
Snippets > Javascript folder, and just insert it in script
    tags in the head.

  • Is it possible to change TreeView's background color, not node color?

    In advance, Thanks!!
Actually, I've made my own treeview in my project. and  I've changed my treeview node color as i want
I wonder whether or not to change treeview's background color, not node color in below class.
    // in ~.fr
    Class

      kTreeViewWidgetBoss,

    That's all.

  • Convert Excel data to Sticky Notes In Adobe?

Is there any way to import fields from an Excel spreadsheet into an Adobe document, and have these imported fields become separate Sticky Notes that can be moved around and placed on the PDF?

In theory yes, but I don't see it being very practicable.
A comment requires a page number, position, author, date and time, and contents, so you'd have to define all those in the spreadsheet or dynamically calculate them within the script. You could write the XLS file to a text file (CSV) and use scripting to import it (a folder-level script can use the new util.readFileIntoStream and util.stringFromStream methods) but the comments would be locked to a particular page.

  • Sticky Notes/Yellow Notes, like post-its for your ...

i have been using these three products for some time and have had no issues with them at all.
a nice graphical one is the Sticky Notes, in EXTRAS-DEVEL
it allows you to add as many "sticky" notes to your desktop as you would like and can be over-lapped.  easy to add, and easy to delete.
after installation you will have to go to your applications menu and start it.  then it will automatically put the first one, blank, on your desktop.
    xterm
    sudo gainroot
    apt-get install sticky-notes
the other is YELLOW NOTES APPLET, in EXTRAS-DEVEL
This appliction sets on your desktop and you can change the size, color, and translucency on your desktop.  you can have as many as you want, and search through them with the left and right arrows.   i use this one all the time because it does not take anymore space on my desktop then one post-it would and they are stacked.
no issues with this one at all either.
    xterm
    sudo gainroot
    apt-get install yellownotes-applet
to start this product, you will tap on a blank spot on your desktop and tap the settings wheel in the top right of your screen
    desktop menu/add widget/yellownotes
    enjoy!
oh...and for those of you using appmanager, just look for yellow notes, or sticky notes.  but you have to have the repos installed for the extras-devel.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

BTW, there is a version of Yellow Notes promoted to Extras

  • Unit of measure EA not defined for language RU

    Hi gurus,
have you encountered this error while creating a PO? can't find any supporting document online.
    please help how to resolve.
    thanks,
    mm

    Hi Manohar,
Language RU (Russian) is not defined in our system and therefore the translation in CUNI is not the appropriate solution for this error.
Instead, we just maintained the vendor master to be in EN language to stop the system error.
    thanks for your input anyway.

  • Why would I get ReferenceError #1065: "Variable title is not defined."

Well of course it's not defined.  It's a dynamic class, and strict mode compilation is turned off so that I don't have to declare the property to compile it.
I've created a library item named "Page" with a single TextField instance named "title".
Page's class is defined in an ActionScript file, and it's assigned to the library item in export for ActionScript.
Page's ActionScript file defines the class as a "dynamic" class, so I should not be getting this runtime error.  I turned off strict mode compiling, since it seems to be designed to check the presense of property definitions at compile time for dynamic classes like MovieClip.
public dynamic class Page extends MovieClip
        public function Page()
            super();
var text:String = title.text; //title can be moused over in the debugger here and shows the correct value, but the flash player throws a runtime error when it tries to access it, but it shouldn't because this is a dynamic class.
So why am I getting a runtime error for the field "title".  It makes no sense, because if I step to that line in the FlashDevelop debugger and hold the mouse over "title", it shows that it is in fact the instance of the TextField that I'm trying to access.  Yet the player throws an error when I actually try to access it.
Is it a problem or limitation with the access style (i.e. would it work fine if I accessed it as "this.title" or "this["title"]"?

Nevermind.  This was apparently a browser caching issue.   The Page base class is defined in the main interface swf, and is externally referenced through its swc in an external "lesson" file that declare a subclass of Page.  It was this custom subclass of Page which was throwing the error (basically the same as the simplified example I wrote for my post, where it simply tried to access "title" as a dynamic property of the Page).  What happened is the browser was caching an old version of the lesson file with the old definition of the class that was not declared as dynamic.  I had received the error before, then updated the class, then I was surprised to see the error persist.  It suddenly dawned on me that the browser was probably caching the old version, so I cleared the cache and it seems to work fine now.
Actually, it is a problem after all.  I forgot I had updated it to use "this.title" syntax on the page I tested after clearing the cache, but the other pages that try to access title directly as "title" still throw the error.  So it seems to be some sort of quirk in how flash accesses properties of a dynamic class.  If you try to access them direclty, it must do so in a way that requires the property to be defined, but if you access it via "this.title" or this["title"], the it seems to resolve the property value without throwing the error.
This sucks.  I was really trying to not have to write "this." for every property.  The entire display list is dynamically generated from some custom XML that allows me to call constructors and set complex type-safe properties, and during construction it was copying each item into a Dictionary by name.  This Dictionary was then assigned to the page class as "items", so I was accessing each display object as "item.name".  Then I got the brilliant idea of just making Page and its subclasses "dynamic" so that I could just add the DIctionary values on the Page instance itself.  I thought I would be able to access the dyamic properties just by their name such as "title", but lo and behold, Flash strikes again, and I have to use dot notation anyway.  What do you all think?  Any solutions?

  • Logical System is not defined in table SMOF_ERPSH!

    Hi,
When i am replicating a material group to SRM system, in SMQ2, the error message appears as 'Logical System is not defined in table SMOF_ERPSH!'.
can any one please let me know why this comes up, i have checked the SMOEAC settings, its fine and the logical system entries are already present in the tabe

    Hi,
Can you verify all your settings as per note 720819?
Also under SMOEAC transaction, site attributes for your site type 'CRM' may not have any value. Please define attributes for your SRM RFC destination. Select the correct RFC destination, then click on button 'Get Values'.After doing this, table SMOF_ERPSH should be populated correctly.

    Nikhil
