Sticky request - SD Ca

Does Creative publish a list of which SD Cards work with the Zen? I've checked the FAQs but there is no mention of SD Cards.
I ask because there are SDHC cards and class 2, class 4, class 6 and class 8. Usually the cards with more memory have a higher class. Do they all work in the new zen?Message Edited by sele0 on 02-5-200808:58 AM

I would agree with you, I have two SDHC, a 4gb Transcend and a generic 8gb both are class 6 and both work fine but the purchase of these cards was a gamble that in the end paid off, I'm sure that somewhere on this web site there is a mention of cards that work in the Zen.
Edited, copy link for compatible cards.

  • Question about the CSS behavior when using layer 3 sticky and sticky table

    Hi everyone,
I have a question about the CSS behavior when using layer 3 sticky and sticky table is full.
If I configure layer 3 sticky and specify the inactivity timeout as below, how does the CSS
handle subsequent needed sticky requests ?
    advanced-balance sticky-srcip
    sticky-inact-timeout 30
    CSS document says that
    Note:
If you use the sticky-inact-timeout command to specify the inactivity timeout
period on a sticky connection, when the sticky table becomes full and none of
the entries have expired from the sticky table, the CSS rejects subsequent
    needed sticky requests.
My question is what is the next reaction by doing the CSS if the CSS is in the
    following condition:
when the sticky table becomes full and none of the entries have expired from
the sticky table, the CSS rejects subsequent needed sticky requests
Does CSS just rejects/drops subsequent needed sticky requests ?
    or
Does CSS does not stick subsequence requests to particular service but CSS forward
subsequence requests with round-robin basis ? which means if the sticky table is full,
the CSS just works round-robin load balancing fashion for subsequence requests ?
    Your information would be appreciated.
    Best regards,

    Hello,
There is a good document explaining this on Cisco web site
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/contnetw/ps789/products_tech_note09186a0080094b4b.shtml
It depends if the sticky-inact-timeout is used or not. If not, it's FIFO (the oldest entry in the sticky table is removed). If yes, the CSS will reject the next sticky request.

  • Content Switch sending request to both servers

    Hi,
I have following configuration on the content switch and it send the request to both the servers. due to two tcp stream from going via two different server it second request fails and generate false alerts.
It was working fine but since last week it is giving lot of false alerts.
    content StatePMVQLMVMS_8PR3
        vip address X.X.X.X
        add service W8PRAKLQLM01_StateVMS_8HTTP3
        add service W8PRAKLQLM02_StateVMS_8HTTP3
        advanced-balance sticky-srcip
        port XXXX
        protocol tcp
        active
Please let me know what should I check to get this fixed. I hardly work with content switch.
Is there a way I can set up to send all the request to primary server and when it dies then and only then it send a request to secondary and when primary comes back online it restore back to primary ????
I am fine if it does not load balance .. but at least it stop sending false alerts..
    Thanks.

    Hi Nilay,
You have configured sticky based on src-ip which means that as long as src IP remains same  the user would be sent to the same server.
Now a situation where CSS starts sending the request to different servers could be due to the fact that sticky table was full. In that situation a new connection from same user will be load balanced according to the LB method.  If the sticky table is full and none of the sticky entries has expired, the CSS rejects the new sticky request.
You can use sticky-inact-timeout to ensure that sticky entries flush out after they have been inactive for some amount of time.
Please visit the below link for more details about it.

  • 500 errors that do not match with application server

    Hi,
I have been having some weird 500 errors showing up in my SJSWS access logs. The number of these errors are inordinately high (more than a hundred HTTP 500s counts as abnormal to me). All of these errors are on URLs that are reverse proxied to application servers behind them. Yet, when I check on the access / application logs on the application server, all of these requests are returned as normal HTTP 200.
I suspect that these errors are somehow due to the connection between the web server and application server being reset but I have no way of confirming this. Right now, I'm stuck as far as troubleshooting is concerned. Server.log in SJSWS does not indicate anything out of the ordinary either.
Is there anyone who was come across this before or has any pointers on how to troubleshoot any further?
    Thanks,
    Wong

Thanks, was doing just that. Didn't take long to come out with some results. Here it is. I reckon that the parts that says REQ_ABORTED is where I should be looking at but I'm not too familiar with how to interpret this yet. Where should I be reading?

  • Recieving CORE7740 IO timeout error

We have an issue were under load we are receiving connection errors attempting to connect to one of our middle tier servers. We are receiving a CORE7740 error - and I cannot find out any info on it. What exactly is this error? How do I increase the timeout for this? Any ideas for alleviating this? If you were to disable failover but keep load balancing on, Web Server would return an error for any request destined for an offline origin server. (I think maybe you misunderstand how failover works; Web Server will only failover a request with a sticky session to another origin server if the sticky origin server is truly down. The fact that an earlier request failed will not prevent Web Server from trying to send a request with a sticky session to the correct origin server.)

They were an innocent victim of the timeout for xx.xx.xx.xx...right? At 5:22:40, the health check thread runs against lpmid and all is right with the world again.
That is why we think that there are "innocent victims" of this TIME OUT issue.
I used to have a bunch of <IF></IF><ELSE></ELSE> statements in my obj.conf files for some other things, but had to pull them out as the GUI would consistently scramble the lines up and cause major problems...so I am more than a little leary about using them again. (But that's a whole different subject.) :-)

  • FEATURE REQUEST: Sticky editing of feed info

I love iTunes 6 on Windows as pod-catching software. It's great. But a minor feature request.... (since I don't see anywhere else on Apple.Com for iTunes feature requests, I'm posting it here).
Most podcast authors seem to do a lousy job of creating intuitive feed metadata information (Artist, Description). And since podcasts seem to be sorted by default on my iPod by Music > Podcasts > [ARTIST FIELD], I always edit the Artist Field in iTunes before I sync with my iPod. I do this by selecting all items in a feed group, right clicking, choosing Get Info, and editing the Artist field to something short which makes sense to me.
However, this edit isn't sticky. When new items in a feed are downloaded to iTunes, they have the original Artist field. So I have to edit this a lot.
What I'd like is to be able to edit the Info of the feed once in iTunes. Then, every time a new item is downloaded to that feed in iTunes, I'd like iTunes to go ahead and edit that item's info to match my sticky feed setting. This way, I only need to edit the info once when I add a new feed, and each item subsequently downloaded will inherit those settings.
Make sense? A "power user" feauture, I'm sure. But it'd be nice....
Dell Dimension Windows XP iTunes 6, 20GB iPod
    Dell Dimension   Windows XP

Can't be done currently. Interesting idea, though.
However, I've found that podcast creators tend to be pretty responsive to criticisms along these lines. I've had this same problem with some podcasts, and after I mentioned it to them, they started tagging their podcasts appropriately. Some of them even started adding "album art" after I explained how it would show up on newer iPod's when playing the track, if the iPod user uses iTunes.
I'd email the podcast author and let them know what's up. This is generally a better long term solution anyway, as it helps everybody.

  • Request to make SD Card Intergration Thread a sticky thr

Just want to know besides me, how many others would like to see that thread become a sticky thread? It's a subject everyone is complaining about and I think it should be perminately be put on top of this page.

  • Sticky Browser Request

    Dear All,
We have a custom build application running on clustered WAS 6.0 with
IHS as a proxy. We have come across a strange behaviour with our
application. Our application has a authentication page and every user
should supply password to access our application. After login, Our
application URL attached with jsessionid in the server (We have not
enabled cookies). When we copy this URL and paste it in a different
browser, new browser will be able to go directly to the application by
    skipping our login page.
Is there any possible ways available to prevent this? Hackers can
easily hack client browser, get the URL and access our application
without login. We are on fire to fix this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sridhar H

This is a tipycal session hijacking.
What happen here is once the session is validated anyone can use the session to access the application. One thing that you can do is get the users IP (Not sure whether you can do this with servlets) and store it in the session when the user logs in. And every time the application receives a request from the same session you can check whether the IP addresses matches with the stored IP address in the session.
By the way this will still not work when the real user and the hacker is behind the same proxy server or in same LAN

  • Request for Admin-BBY Sticky Post for new Trade In & Trade Up Samsung Galaxy Tab S $50 Offer Details

Considering some of the problems that people have had in trading in their qualifying working tablets not in Best Buy's trade-in system for a minimum $50 Best Buy Gift Card during the ending Surface 3 promotion... would it be possible for Admin BBY to post a new sticky message for the new promo starting today for trading in any non Nook/ereader tablet without screen/water damage that turns on for a $50 gift card and coupon for $50 off the Samsung Galaxy Tab S? It would be valuable to know if any of the terms of the trade-in have changed, and to head off questions about the inability to use more than one coupon per tablet purchase before you are inundated with complaints..
Thanks in advance! Nothing gets me into a brick and mortar store more assuredly than the promise of a discount off a coveted new piece of technology!

    Hello StellaDallas-
It’s definitely concerning when customers are experiencing disappointments with one of our promotions and I can certainly understand your desire to see something posted on our community to help head off any future issues.
The stores are provided with all the information that they need to process these promotions correctly and hopefully, we have also learned from any past mistakes as well when putting them together.  Right now, you can find all the details of the Samsung Tab 3 trade-in promotion here.  From what I can see, it seems to cover all the details of the promotion very well, including stating that only one coupon can be used per transaction.
Otherwise, as far as I can tell, the promotion is identical to the Surface 3 promotion, with the caveat that the trade-in must be used towards the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy Tab S.
    Thanks for connecting with us!

  • Forum Moderator request (Sticky Clean-up and FAQ refresh)

Considering the amount of Dolby/DTS Decoding and Encoding questions on this forum,?the questions related to the X-Fi Extreme Audio limitations, and the sheer number of stickies I think it would be helpful to clean up this forum. I would suggest:
. Global Multi-Channel Setup Guide (Includes Dolby Digital/DTS Connect config)
    2. Global Dolby Digital/DTS Guide (Includes Encoding setup/purpose/limits, Decoding (including models supported)
?? -On a side note, I think it would be very beneficial to disclose exactly why decoding was eliminated, as well as some high-
?? level information on the Dolby/Creative licensing relationship. Most end users expect things to 'just work', and don't
??understand the complexity of those kinds of relationshi

    GPOMG!
Group Policy driving you crazy? Here are some advanced troubleshooting tools (beyond RSOP, GPRESULT, etc.) that may be helpful. For first level troubleshooting, check out this link:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc787386(v=WS.10).aspx
    EVENT VIEWER (NEW & IMPROVED!)
Event viewer in Windows 7 has more detail about Group Policy. Start your event viewer (may need to run as an admin. account). Navigate to:
    Applications and Services Logs>Microsoft>Windows>GroupPolicy>Operational
Here you will find events that are related to Group Policy processing. You can determine how long it takes to run the various pieces of your particular GP as well as diagnostic information that can be very helpful when trying to figure out what is happening
    with GP.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc749336(WS.10).aspx
Events 4016 and 5016 show the start and end of processing of groups of policies, including how long it took to apply each one in the end event.
Event 5312 shows policies that will be applied, and 5317 shows policies that are explicitly filtered out.
Events 8000 and 8001 respectively show the total processing time for computer boot and user boot GP processing, and 8006 and 8007 show the same for interim/periodic GP processing.
    GPLOGVIEW TOOL
A similar tool is called GPLOGVIEW. You must run this from the elevated command prompt. It will produce a XML, HTML, or simple text file of the GP events for export and review. You can even do a live monitor while you run GPUPDATE /force.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dd315424.aspx
    GPSVR/GPSVC LOG FILE
If the normal tricks above don’t provide you with enough information, this should do it! There is a service called
GPSVR that gives you everything you ever wanted to know about Group Policy running on your workstation. Here is how to get more information from the GPSVR service in Windows 2008/Visa/Win 7.
Step 1: Enable logging in the Gpsvc.log file. To enable logging in the Gpsvc.log file, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK (might want to backup your registry first).
Make sure that you have the folder %windir%\debug\usermode, if the usermode folder is not there, then manually create it.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key.
Type Diagnostics, and then press ENTER.
Right-click the Diagnostics subkey, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
Type GPSvcDebugLevel, and then press ENTER.
Right-click GPSvcDebugLevel, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 30002 (as hex), and then click OK.
     Exit Registry Editor.
    Reboot machine.
At a command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER: gpupdate /force
You will find the Gpsvc.log file in the following folder: %windir%\debug\usermode
Step 2: I use Notepad ++ to analyze this log file. It can help you troubleshoot, step, by step what GP is doing as your workstation/user is getting logged in. Timing, access/permission issues, SID information and more are all included
    in this log file.
Step 3: When you are done, change the value of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Diagnostics|GPSvcDebugLevel to 0x00000000 to disable the debug log or else it will continue to grow.

    Hi,
I have posted an MST file which fixes this and other issues to the following thread here:

Please post any feedback to that thread!
    Kind regards,

  • Request Sticky - Please mention your OS

Many people post messages about things not working on their Thinkpads, but do not mention what OS they are using.   Since there are 2 common operating systems in use on the T-400 and T-500, it makes it very hard to give specific advice.
Please mention the OS when posting a question.
    Don Mannino

But I don't think that reasonable people would, or could, misconstrue a personal attack with something of a technical nature
Are you saying I'm not a reasonable person? Because I do think reasonable people might rebut a technical argument with language that another person might deem a personal attack, and I've carefully explained my reasons for that.
Or are you saying that the new policy should mean that there's a list of banned adjectives? That "reasonable people" are no longer allowed to use words like silly, ridiculous, nonsense, rubbish? Are you suggesting that 'no personal attacks' should actually mean 'no use of language that isn't completely, 100% factual'. Really? I hope you recognise the silliness, ridiculousness and nonsensical nature of such a proposal if that's what you're really saying.
it seems perfectly reasonable that an Oracle employee, or employees, should be the ones charged with writing and enforcing the rules.
Well, that's just missed the point by a wide mile, too. (Or is that a personal attack on your perspicacity?) The point I was making was: WHAT rules? You can't just say, 'the rule is no personal attacks' if you cannot DEFINE what constitutes a personal attack.
I see nothing that indicates the policy will be enforced unfairly or indiscriminately
WHAT policy!? DEFINE what the policy actually IS and I might agree with you. What it actually is at the moment is "you may not write something which we can't define in case it upsets people in ways we can't define". That is not a policy but a recipe for arbitrariness.
What I have proposed in its place is a policy which requires no arbitrariness, other than the one inherent in making a judgment about whether a post actually is defamatory, libelous or annoying which is always going to be unavoidable. But instead of trying to legislate what adjectives are acceptable, it simply puts the onus on those who are upset to SAY they are upset. Much fairer, if you ask me, to everyone involved INCLUDING Justin.

  • Yoga 2 Pro - Videos being sticky in tablet, stand and tent mode.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and please direct me to a similar thread) but I can't find anything online relating to my paticular problem.
The issue is that when I use any other mode expect laptop, I simply cannot watch videos as they constantly stop and start and are just overall very sticky. At first I thought it might just be the dvd I was watching, but I've now tested it on several websites like amazon and youtube, different CD's etc.. (even games, where I get fps drops, less of an issue though).
I was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar problem and knows how I might go about solving this issue.
Let me know if I need to post any specifics.
    Thanks

Good day and welcome to the community.
There are number of threads that discuss Intel's Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework (DPTF) and how it may affect the different modes.
Here is the largest of the threads: forums.lenovo.com/t5/Idea-Windows-based-Tablets-and/Hey-Lenovo-what-s-up-with-DPTF-amp-Yoga-machines... which you may wish to browse through. There are several other threads that you'll find using "DPTF".
Once you've decided which of these threads to participate in, we can merge your post into it.
Hope this helps you a bit.

  • Sticky proposal: Logic Pro (first draft)

Ok, here's a first draft of the proposed sticky for this forum. After looking at what we had, I decided to basically do it in four parts - introductory stuff (please post version numbers etc), problem solvers, tips, and audio general stuff.
I'm not making this a work of art, but value feedback in order to make this useful before we ask the mods for a sticky. It's not complete, such a task is a much bigger job, but it's a start. What's not there? What's confusing? Is it too much stuff? Too newbie unfriendly?
When we are happy I will probably style/format it a little better as well.
    Lemme know - cheers,
This is a compilation of Logic tips, useful threads and information for Logic Pro users, compiled mostly by Eriksimon (thanks!) with additional contributions from Bee Jay and (final forum member list to be completed)
    - Getting the best help from the Apple Logic Pro Discussions
This forum is intended to be a user-to-user support form to users of Logic Pro.
Please keep your posts on the topic of Logic Pro, or you risk your post being removed for being off-topic. There are plenty of other general audio and recording forums better suited for asking general audio questions.
Questions about third-party software and hardware are welcome as long as they relate directly to using these products in conjunction with Logic.
This forum is dedicated to the post-Apple versions of Logic, which means questions for Logic Pro 7, Logic Pro 8, and Logic Pro 9 are welcome. However, please include the version of Logic you are using, in order to give useful advice (as things change between versions.) Better still, put your Logic versions and system information in your signature, to save having to ask for it.
If you are a user of Logic Express, you should post in the Logic Express forum, rather than the Logic Pro forum, in order to get advice suited to your particular software version (as some things are different between Logic Express and Logic Pro).
Remember that many questions, especially if you are new to Logic, have been asked multiple times before, so it's good practice to use the Discussions Search feature in the top right of the page to search for previous discussions relating to your issue. You will find a wealth of information. Often you can find a solution to your question without needing to post and have someone type out a response they've already typed out hundreds of times before - or worse yet, have your question ignored.
Please be respectful of the members on the board at all times - we are happy to help people out, but do so in our own free time and don't have a duty to do so.
Posts discussing non-Logic related items, off-topic or controversial subjects, abusive posts and harsh language are not welcome and will likely be removed, as will posts discussing illegal software. Please read the Terms of Use of this board for more info at:
This post is a user-contributed compilation of links to content on this forum, official Apple documentation, and occasionally some other outside content where useful to Logic users. It is not in itself an official Apple document, and Apple do not take responsibility for it's content. It is not intended to be complete or comprehensive, just a helpful start for common issues.

Okay, here I marked some of the links because at the time it was not clear if they adress things that are still actual in L9.
It may be a good idea to name the topics that apply to all Logics' (7, 8 and 9) simply Logic Pro (or leave 'm nameless), and the others after the specific version they apply to. The topics with a (9?) behind it, have still to be confirmed to also apply to L9 (.0.2)
