Still can't find my username after following all the advice on this forum

I joined Spotify through Facebook and I have a file account.
I need my username (the numeric info) and despite searching this forum; trying all the solutions of viewing my profile etc, I still cannot see any reference to my numeric username.
This is REALLY bad user experience Spotify!

You may need to reset PRAM/NVRAM.
First, check that the jack is clean. Put some alcohol on a plug and insert it a few times. See if that helps.
is your output both digital and analog? If digital, is the red laser light visible in the socket? Do not look directly into the socket when checking.
If all else fails try a PRAM reset:
Reset your computer’s PRAM
A small amount of your computer’s memory, called “parameter random-access memory” or PRAM, stores certain settings in a location that Mac OS X can access quickly. The particular settings that are stored depend on your type of Mac and the types of devices connected to it. The settings include your designated startup disk, display resolution, speaker volume, and other information.
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Immediately press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Continue holding the keys down until the computer restarts, and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
DO NOT HOLD These keys beyond the second startup sound!
Release the keys.
Resetting PRAM may change some system settings and preferences. Use System Preferences to restore your settings.

I can't burn a DVD even after following all the tips

I have a nine minute movie created from still phtos in iMovie that I need to burn to a DVD using iDVD 4. I followed all the steps provided online and still cannot get the disk to burn. (I have saved all the images and audio to the hard drive, there is plenty of free space on the hard drive, I have set the preferences to "best quality" and I have a blank DVD+R Memorex DVD to burn to). When I click on the burn button and insert the DVD it checks the DVD and then ejects it with the message "Please insert a blank DVD-R disk". I was able to burn a DVD by dragging the files from Finder to the Toast lite 5.2.2L program and it burned the disk fine. However, when I inserted the DVD into the optical drive it played without no sound (even thought the motion button was activated) and it could not be played on a DVD player. I'm at a loss.

You need to tell us a lot more about your computer system. See the '' box to the right? Click on 'My Settings' and tell us about your computer.
The newer Macs (in general) will burn and play both DVD-R media and DVD+R media (and yes, they are different). Earlier superdrives would only work with DVD-R media.
If you tell us about your computer, we can give you better information.

TS3198 I keep getting No Network after following all the steps it is a TMobile SIM is it possible the SIM is too old of a card?

I recently unlocked our iPhone 3gs for my daughter to use on TMobile. I am 99% sure I followed all the instructions properly except it still says No Network. Basically it appears as though it is not reading the SIM. When hooked up to iTunes it says the SIM is not supported. I turned 3G off hoping that would help and still same issue. Is the SIM too old?????????? Or any help would be appreciated.

If it says "SIM is not supported" then it is not unlocked. Try restoring again with the orinanal AT&T SIM card, and make sure you are connected to the internet.

Where can I find a document after upgrading to the most recent OS on my iMac?

I upgraded my OS yesterday on my iMac and now I can't find the most recent version of an Excel document. I saved it as recently as yesterday when making changes but the document that shows up is from 9/10. Any ideas where I might find it? I've already done a search, etc.

Command-f (Apple-f) will open a find window-click to find everything modified yesterday.

Assuming wifi works on the iPod like Safari works.
You likely have an error in the settings. Frequently it is easier to delete the account from the iPod and reenter all the settings vice trying to find the error.

HT4437 After following all the instructions when I open a photo now AirPlay symbol appears

After following the instructions I open a photo on my iPhone and no air play symbol appears. All other functions of the Apple TV seem to be working well

If Larry's suggestion re iPLM doesn't help there's always the last ditch effort solution:
Starting over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
1. Open the library package like this.
2. Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
3. Drag the subfolders of the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the open iPhoto Library package into the open iPhoto window a few at a time.
This will create a new library with the same Events (but not necessarily the same Event names) as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
Note: your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

Where can I find a PDF list of all the standard available iViews?

Ideally I'd like somewhere that I could then look at the ones that interest me before I put them into my system

Hi Ben,
SAP deliver a set of standard iViews when you install the portal - you cannot choose what gets installed in that process. You can however choose to install business packages and the documentation for the iViews that are included in each BP are part of the BP documentation. Again however you will generally install the entire package and not be able to pick and choose the iViews you want to install.
Having said that just because an iView is installed you don't have to use it. Build your own roles only with the iViews that you want to make available to your users.

Firefox will not load despite following all the advice on the support website

I loaded an update from Freemaker Video Converter and now I cannot open Firefox. I have tried reinstalling (copied my profile to the Desktop), unfortunately System Restore has an error, tried reloading an older version, ensured Firefox is approved in the Firewall, tried opening the Profile Manager and it gives the "I'm sorry" error message (sent feedback). I have attempted to edit the registry, but only deleted the obvious entries. When I click on Firefox Windows thinks about it (circle with the mouse) then nothing, doesn't start a process. I have gone through all the support documentation and have run out of options.
Any thoughts?

HT201274 I went to General Reset Erase All Content & Settings - and now nothing works. I tried the advice on this forum, i.e., turn the phone off, connect to the white apple cable while pressing the home key. Still not working. What do I do?

After i dod the above my ipone still does not work. It seems like all settings are gone. I tried the advice on one of the forums here which was turn the phone off, connect to the cable to the computer and not the phone, press the home button continously and connect the cable. Itunes at this point identified the phone and prompted to restore settings. It seemed to be doing something but now once I tried turning it on, its still not working.

start iTunes,
plug in your USB cable
switch off your iPhone
press holding home button(the round button in front of the Phone)
plug it on to the USB cable
keep holding the button
till iTunes says it found a iPhone in recovery mode
then click restore as a NEW iPhone
then sync!?

Can't delete a user after following all directions I can find here

I have a user account that I messed up by adding bad aliases to (don't try this).
ANYWAY, I'm trying to delete the account and recreate but I can't seem to get it right.

Not for your User files. I suspect you need to run the OS X installer over your drive. You can do this via the recovery drive, but it might download an older version of OS X. You can download again from App Store under Purchases. Find Yosemite and select to download. It will caution you that you are already running but you can select Continue to download the full installer again. This installs over your current files.
I recommend that you backup first as a clone or via Time Machine. Clone is preferred since it's bootable and we don't want to migrate and bring back your current problems.

A clone is an exact bootable copy of your internal drive. Unlike standard copying of all files to another drive, the clone software copies hidden files along with other in-use files that are not available when you copy over files to another drive.

Time Machine is not bootable. You can only restore from Time Machine.
Software used to Clone: You can download and use SuperDuper without registering to do a full clone backup. You will need an external drive formatted as GUID for the backup. CCC requires you to free trial but you have to buy first and ask for a refund.

Flash player still not working after following all discussion advice

Requested information: I have Internet explorer 9/ using 32 bit on 64 bit computer/windows 7/flash player 10.2 version
I contracted what my husband called a "rider" virus when I opened a knitting pattern of all things and if I understood it correctly was one of the anti-malware viruses talked about. My husband was able to remove the virus but like others have said here, my flash player will not work. My computer is only 3 months old!
Here is what we have done:
1: First removed all flash player and shock wave
2: I have run a full scan with my Mcafee program, then ran a full scan and quick scan too with my malwarebytes program. Everything in both is now clean. I then rebooted (I also even tried doing all of this in safe mode too with nothing changing)
3: came online and read a bazillion threads about others problems and tried every suggestion pretty much including those below
4: husband checked the kill bit (d27 thingy) and it was not there
5: reinstalled flash player and shock after running the scans and though they show up in my programs when I looked at the add ons as suggest to others the
neither shockwave or Flash Object was there
6: uninstalled everything again
So now I am back to where I started with nothing installed because I still have an issue and we don't know what it is. I truly appreciate your help in any way as it is frustrating that none of the other suggestions have helped.
this may not as my grandma used to say have anything to do with the price of rice in china, but we do keep getting a short freeze up on the computer followed by a message that the display driver stopped responding and recovered then it works again, but it does happen fairly frequently and this has been since the virus. I am showing everything is clean though with regards to virus scans and malware spyware scans.

I have the same problem. My wife got a virus and I was able to uninstall it by poking around. After killing the virus IE would not run. I found some messages on the internet which enabled me to solve that problem by making some registry changes. However, I still have not been able to get IE to run flash. I do have it running in FireFox.
What was the step that you sent in private email that enabled him top solve the problem?

I have ios 7.1.2 and I still can't find a way to completely disable the parallax effect but keep animations

I understand that reduce motion disables the parallax effect but it also disables the animations. When I turn perspective zoom off, it keeps the background from moving when I tilt my iPhone but the apps still movie. How do I make the background and the apps stay still but keep the animations? Is there even a way to do that?

iTunes does prompt when it is going to erase a device, and the message is clear.
She said in her message that she was able to successfully sync the old ipad. This indicated to me that itunes wiping the data was not an issue, because either it had been setup at the apple store (in which case it doesn't actually wipe the ipad despite saying it will*) (*based on a single case I saw), or because the itunes media folder was migrated.
Furthermore, my solution was to tell her how to backup her ipad (by either doing it manually, or as a last resort, by deleting the corrupt backup -- that she couldn't access anyway.)
I got that last part of the instructions from the "Taking Control of your iphone" book which I found samples of when I did a google search for "corrupted backup itunes".
She marked this as a solution, so it worked for her.

I have followed all the advice for updating my ipod touch first gen softwear i now have itunes 10.4 on my pc but when i try and download update nothing happens can anyone help been tryin to sort it all day
