Still can't iChat

Hello again.
I just can't get iChat to work with video although text is fine. I'm using a BT Voyager 205 router and my parents (who I'm trying to chat with) have another type of BT Voyager router (I forget the number). We can both connect to appleu3test01 with no difficulties. We've both tried it with the firewall off (so doesn't that mean all the ports are open?) but all we get is "so-and-so didn't respond".
I've read Ralph John's website which has been helpful (although some of it was as bit technical for me!) but I'm not sure what to try next. I just can't understand why we can both connect to the test buddies but not each other.
It's not all that important really. My parents only live a few minutes away but my children thought it would be fun to talk to their grandparents on the computer. And it seems a shame not to use the built in iSight when it's there.
Any suggestions?

HI Rachel,
The 205 is supposed to have all the ports open when in default mode.
However many find that this is not as true as they would like.
The set up instructions for Port Forwarding this device are here.
The Setting of a Static IP address is not absolutely crucial and the prrs can be forwarded to the IP your computer currently has from the modem (System Preferencces > Network > Ethernet > TCP/IP tab.)
A Static IP is created by turning off DHCP in the Modem and then telling the Mac to use Manually where it currently says Using DHCP in the Network Preference pane above.
The 205 requires that you enter each port in turn.
Newer Firware seem to restrict the number of ports you can open. (iChat needs 29 to use all features of AIM, Jabber and Bonjour).
Nor does it have the options of Port Triggering or UPnP which allow multiple computers to use the same ports and require less set up.

It appears that you are launching the old version, probably using an icon in your Dock. That icon is an alias & is not updated. You will need to go to your Applications folder & find the new Pages 5 icon & double-click it. Once it is launched, you can right-click on the icon & choose Options > keep in Dock from the contextual menu.

TS3899 I still can not send email from my ipad but iPhone works on those accounts

I still can not send email from my .mac account or a .comcast.net from my ipad. I how 2 people so far that has brought to my attention. We have exchange accounts setup on the ipads for work. I compare the settings from iPad to iPhone from my view it appears identical. I am looking at an iPad 2 and a Mini.
I turned on and off the ipads and nothing really changed. The emails come into those accounts.
Any suggestions?

When you say you can't send...as in they never get the email? Does the email appear to send? Error message? When?
It may be more than one iPad that has a problem....

Iphone 5s cannot call out any calls, but still can receive incoming calls and sms

anyone experiencing this problem? After buying iphone 5s less than 2 months which I never did in the past, I could no longer make any phone calls out, yet i still can receive incoming calls and data.
Could someone kindly assist in this?

Contact your carrier. Phone functions are a carrier responsibility. Have them check your account. Are you seeing any error messages?

in Dutch it says that there are no updates available. I know that after
installing cs4 there are updates but i can't load them automatically. I did
a delete and reinstall, but still get the message.

Strikes -
Go into compositionReady and have 3 variables you will be able to set them like this
strike1 = 0;
strike2 = 0;
strike3 = 0;
So on the wrong item click have
if(strike1 == 0) {
PLAY STRIKE1 ANIMATION
strike1 = 1;
else if(strike2 == 0) {
PLAY STRIKE2 ANIMATION
strike2 = 1;
else if(strike3 == 0) {
PLAY STRIKE2 ANIMATION
strike3 = 1;
So this will make it so when the wrong item is clicked each strike will be played in order.
Random Scrolling -
You should look into the Math.Random function to make things random in edge.
This is an example of the Random function. It will generate a random number up to 100.

Lose Screen Score -
So we can create another variable in compositionReady for the lose score.
score = 0;
Now when the user gains a point to add to the score you could do this code on the click
score++;
which would add 1 to the score, However you can add however much you like to the score doing "score + 2" and so on.
To edit a text with the score at the end which I'm assuming you will want to do you will use .html
so $("Text").html("You score is " + score);

I ended up putting it in DFU mode. It's kinda hard to tell it was in DFU mode because nothing showed on the screen, it was just black, but the sounds from the computer helped to tell me it was connected.
Itunes still didn't recognize the device for whatever reason.
So I used redsn0w. I don't know if I can say that on these forums, but considering itunes was worthless at this point I am going to give credit where credit is due.
Now I am giving itunes a second chance to upgrade to 5.1, if it doesn't work, well, back to redsnow and maybe I will even jailbreak it this time rather than just using the fecovery fix found under extras.

After 16 hours, I still can't reactivate my iPhone 4s.

I spent 3 hours in an Apple Store last night, working with mutliple techs and managers. I brought my cell in due to overheating. The genius suggested I do a complete restore, to factory settings. It seemed to load the operating system fine, but is now stuck on the activation screen. We have tired multiple wifi networks and iTunes and I did the restore again, through iTunes this morning. Still getting the same message, "Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes. If this problem persists, contact Apple Support.." On iTunes, I get this error message, "Your request could not be processed. We're sorry, but there was an error processing your request. Please try again later". I bought my phone from Apple, never messed with any features, didn't have many apps on it, etc. I spoke with Sprint Customer Service and their Technical Reps last night too. Everybody seems to be as perlexed as I am. Could there be a possibility, that Find my iPhone's Activation Lock, is preventing my cell from activating? Should that feature been shut off, prior to the restore? Is there anyway to shut it off now and see if activation will go through?

I am having my suggestion deleted by somebody, only trying to help, because I couldn't find any help here and stumped both Apple and Sprint Techs..... YES, Activation Lock, does prevent you from activating your own iPhone. I worked on mine forever and had it looked at by many Apple Geniuses. I removed my device from Find my iPhone and it activated perfectly! Does make complete sense though.. Activation Lock does its job, so you just need to make sure Find my iPhone is completely off BEFORE doing a complete restore. It was very simple to add my device back, after completely the full backup. If you did the restore, without turning off Find my iPhone, you still can get past the activation "road block", by removing your device on icloud. Sincerely hope this information helps somebody and doesn't insult or frustrate anybody.

TS4424 I still can't get my mail to work.I have reinstalled Security update and combo 3 times. About ready to call Apple but mI don't think I should pay for it!!!!

I can't my Apple mail to work. It started when I did an up date. When I went to use mail (the little stamp at bottom) it said, "you can't use this version of mail with this version of OS X. I looked on support and was told to solve the problem by downloading combo package and security update. Did it 3 times. I did everything. Still doesn't work. I even took everything mail out of applications and the library and did those two updates and still can't get it. Could I reinstall OS X Snow Leopard and would that affect any of my documents like i photo or i tunes? I don't want to loose anything! I have spent way too long on this problem. I feel like I own PC with windows again. Please help!!!!!! Frustated

No need to reinstall Snow. Try trashing all the Mail.apps you have. (But don't empty the trash yet!) Do a search for those. Reinstall Mail from the DVD in Optional Installs. This will put Mail 4.2 in Applications, then run the Combo Update, which will update Mail to 4.5, and then the Security Update again, in that order.

Please let me know what exactly are you trying to do using Adobe online service.
You might try accessing the same service for some other PDFs and check.
Have you signed up correctly at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/" using your Adobe ID credentials.
If the same message pops up, then please visit Contact Customer Care as they could let you know if there is any problem with your account.
