Still can't send emails on ipad

Downloaded ios7 to ipad and cannot send emails.  Tried everything.  Can receive but not send. Help!!

details. like what is the email provider. is it giving you an error message. etc.

    I still can not send email from my .mac account or a .comcast.net from my ipad. I how 2 people so far that has brought to my attention. We have exchange accounts setup on the ipads for work. I compare the settings from iPad to iPhone from my view it appears identical. I am looking at an iPad 2 and a Mini.
    I turned on and off the ipads and nothing really changed. The emails come into those accounts.
    Any suggestions?

    When you say you can't send...as in they never get the email?  Does the email appear to send?  Error message?  When?
    It may be more than one iPad that has a problem....

    Can you access the account on another device?
    Have you tried when connected to another network?
    Have you tried deleting the account from the iPod and reentering the settings since it is easy to make an error.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • Still can't send email with Yosemite due to SMTP offline?

    Hello there. I logged a question immediately after downloading yosemite which seemed to have resulted in my email account not working.
    no matter what I do, when trying to send an email Iget messages of SMTP offline'; I have tried all kinds of suggestions from on here all to no effect.
    Tonight I deleted the accounts, logged off, rebooted and recreated the two email accounts. I can now receive email but still cannot send and get the same 'SMTP Offline' message as before.
    As before the two accounts and same settings work flawlessly on iPad 2, windows laptop and two Android based phones, so must be linked to the iMac and Yosemite?
    Anyone else still unable to send emails? I

    Suddenly I can't send email from AOL account on my ipad.  When I send an email I get the error message Cannot send mail - rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying.

    Read this discussion. You may need to enter a a username and password in the outgoing mail server setting - even if it says that it is optional.

    Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if you can then send emails.

  • TS1307 Still can't send emails on my Air, can receive fine.

    My Air is running Lion 10.7.4, and I have used the same details in the mail account section as my Pro that is on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 but I can't send emails I can receive ok. Keeps saying can not connect on port 995 ( this is what my Pro is set to.)  I have used the exact details from my Pro to the Air in the email account section. Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong? thanks

    I have a problem with sending emails on my IPad. I receive everything fine but it says the outgoing server failed and it just stores them in the outbox. It's connected to Yahoo. I tried resetting my account, resetting the IPad and it still doesn't work. What do I do? It was fine until a few days ago. Cheers!

  • How can I send email from iPad using someone else's server

    I use the Netspace server but I'm visitng a friend and using her optusnet server for the Internet, however I am unable to send email, even though I can receive it

    I assume Netspace is your Internet provider.  They may have their mail server set up to only work when you are accessing the server locally from their domain.  I suggest you contact Netspace and ask them what you need to do to send E-Mail to them from other domains.
    Have you been able to send E-Mail from other places?  If so, there might be a firewall problem in Optusnet.  In that case, they may be best able to advise you.

  • Still can't send emails through Mail for my Hotmail Account!!!

    It's been weeks now without being able to send email from my 'Mail' programme which is linked to my Hotmail account.
    All I get is a message coming up saying:
    'Cannot send message using the server Hotmail'
    'Connections to the server "smtp.live.com" on the default ports timed out'
    'Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click 'Try Later' to leave the message in your outbox until it can be sent'
    Where I have the option to choose an outgoing mail server the only choice I have is 'Hotmail' which displays as 'Offline'
    What the **** is going on?????
    Is this to do with Hotmail now changing to 'Outlook'???

    I found this worked for me, just check your hotmail settings are as follows
    You change your POP to IMAP like this
    Outlook.com does support IMAP and SMTP.
    Incoming server:
    IMAP: imap-mail.outlook.com
    Port: 993
    Encrypted Connection: SSL
    Outgoing server:
    SMTP: smtp-mail.outlook.com
    Port: 25 or 587
    Encrypted Connection: TLS
    Username: Your Username
    Password: Your Password
    This won't work on mac os x mail unless you disable pop in your outlook.com account first. If you have mac os x mail, and you don't disable pop in your outlook.com account first, mail will automatically setup pop and smtp.

    I've reset, deleted email account, recreated email account. I can receive emails but can't send them.

    Try a refresh on your e-mail account. Go your e-mail screen, where the account is listed, and long press the account name. A box will open with several choices -- press refresh. This may solve your problem.

    Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
    Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.
