Still cant send mails through my outlook account??

Can anyone suggest any fixes? I have set up my outlook mail account on the phone. it can receive no problem, in or out of the office(where i connect with wifi) Our service supplier is British Telecom.
When out of the office(no office wifi) it wont send mails only recieve. I have tried putting a different outgoing mail server in eg o2 but still it doesnt work. this is very frustrating as this is my primary business mail address.
any further suggestions would be appreciated. i tried setting up through microsoft exchange but it didnt work either

I had the same problem with my cable-hosted email when not at home. My solution (not free) was to subscribe to AuthSMTP

We use it in our laptops and my iPhone so we have no connectivity issues when traveling away from home and not on our home network. There are other free solutions but I found this to be the most reliable of several I tried back in July 2007 when setting up my original iPhone.

    even i am facing the same issue i am using email account which is on exchange server 2008 and able to recieve emails perfectly fine but, issue is when i try to send email thru my Mac mail client ( mail 3.0 [930.3]) it gives error. I checked this connection doctor as well didnt got any error messAGE authentication was done .     When I try to send a message it says try again with selected server I say it can try agin with selected server. Then the same message error keeps on poping up.

    Not much to go on there...
    For one, did this work in the past but has now stopped working? or did it never work?
    For two, the error message usually gives a better idea of why the message couldn't be sent... what else does it say?
    Third.. what server are you trying to use? Are you trying to send via Yahoo's servers? and have you verified that your ISP isn't blocking? (some ISPs require you to send all mail through their mail servers to avoid spambot problems on their network - have you tried sending the mail through your ISP's mail server?)
    Is it just Yahoo mail that's failing? or all mail?

    I have tried other browsers and I have tried to send email outs from icloud.com but it displays a message "email cannot be sent at this time".
    I can send emails fine from my Iphone but not from my browser.  Is there something I need to do or is it on Apples side?

    If you go into settings, preferances, accounts then there is an option on the left hand side to create an alias.
    If  your current address has upper case letters in then make a new alias without any capital letters (must be a different name, not just the same one without the caps).
    This fixed the problem for me.

    In the wee hours of the night I had an idea and downloaded OSX again and that seems to have fixed my problem. I wish I'd thought of that last week!

    I have installed Oracle 9i (9.2.0.1) on Windows Xp with SP 2 platform. My MS Outlook has been configured.

    How could i send mail through Microsoft outlook by using PL/SQL Program.Nonsensical question. MS Outlook is a mail client. A PL/SQL program is also a mail client.
    Both these need to talk to a mail server. It does not make sense for one mail client to "+talk+" to another client for passing it e-mails that need to be send.
    The mail client talks to a mail server using the SMTP ( Simple Mail Transfer Protocol ). There are also other protocols such as IMAP (open standard) and MAPI (Microsoft proprietary).
    Oracle's PL/SQL environment by default supports SMTP via the UTL_SMTP, and UTL_MAIL packages - these provide the PL/SQL developer with an interface to use to send e-mails.
    MS Outlook (client) does not feature anywhere in this regard, whereas MS Exchange as a mail server will (assuming it is being used on your network).

    I had the same problem since last Thursday.  I have tried and re-tried all of the settings suggested by the support posts but I can not get email to go out of me Outbox.

  • Outlook Client Can't Send Mail through Leopard Mail

    One of our clients is on a Windows XP machine running Outlook. She had no trouble receiving or sending before we migrated to Leopard from Tiger 10.4.10. Now she is able to receive mail but is unable to send. We have set up other test Win XP Outlook clients and they show the same problem.
    Does anyone have Outlook clients successfully sending mail via a POP account on Leopard Mail Server? If so what are the Outlook settings?

    Here is the system log during a test session with Outlook set to connect without ssl. Astrid, the Outlook user, connects via webmail (imap) first and then with Outlook (pop) and then with webmail again. Note there is no smtp connection to send mail. The Outlook error message follows the system log below.

    Where is Outlook looking for a fully qualified domain name.

    Hi. I'm using Mail to consolidate various email accounts, and have been having trouble making one of them work.
    The connection doctor says it's online and the hosting company for the website says I have the right settings, but it just seems to keep giving me this error message:
    And then I have to send it through a different account, which is all sorts of frustrating, as well as debilitating to the business image.
    the smtp outgoing setting I was told to use is mail.pepcrealfood.co.uk, which the doctor says is online, as I said. And now I'm being advised to talk to my service provider about it. Any help available out there?

    I would start first with, do you know that the smtp setting for your server actually points to a Sun Java Enterprise Messaging Server?
    what do you get on a command line when you do:
    telnet <what you have for smtp> 25
    ?

  • Cant send mail from 1 account

    I have 3 mail accounts on my powerbook, one is bellsouth. When I try to send mail from the bellsouth account, it tells me it can't use the selected server. Bellsouth won't let me use other servers ( including .mac accounts) so if I have to send mail when I'm connected via bellsouth I have to use that account. I'm able to send via bellsouth from my other notebok ( windows) so the problem has to be on the powerbook somewhere. I've deleted the account from mail, and re-added it a few times, all to no avail.
    any suggestsion would be greatly appreciated!

    i bought a iphone 4s and set up my hotmail account through the Mail setting - Add accout - Hotmail.  I have never been able to send mail through this set up. i have deleted the account and re-setup the account several times and had no success.  I am able to recieve email but this is still useless if I cannot reply.  Is there anyone else with this problem? can anyone help me?

    I was having trouble emailing from Gmail on my iPhone 5, because the server didn't allow relaying, as some folks in this thread described . Deleting and setting the account up again didn't help. Someone in this thread said to go to Settings, Gmail, Advanced, Server Port, and change it to 25.  It worked like a charm.  BUT- here's the weird part: when I went back to check the server port, it had changed itself back to the previous port # and it's still working fine.  Go figure.

    Yahoo's been having persistently random issues for months. You can try just waiting it out, or delete and readd your yahoo account. When my accounts were affected I just used webmail to access my yahoo accounts until it cleared up.
    Chances are it's all on their end and really all you can do is wait it out.
