STILL dosen't install!!!!

I tried 2 betas, java-based installer was just an empty grey
box.
I hoped they would lose that installer for the final.
I download the demo,
STILL nothing!!!
C'mon guys lose the BS Java-based stuff. java is B.S.!!!
It dosen't work on every box, so you cut yourself off by
makng this java-based.
I don't want to have to re-install my ENTIRE OS just so I can
get java working, so I can run your installer.
Is there more java in Flex Builder??
Is Java required to run this applicaton?
If so, that really sucks.

This is a rather amusing rant.
You can't (or can't be bothered to) get Java to work on your
machine, so somehow this reflects badly on Adobe. You might just be
trolling, but in either case, it did give me an entertaining
moment.
Oh btw, the command-line compiler is also a Java application.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component won't install normally.
If needs be, the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility (MS Installer "Fixit") may be able to help force through the installation.

I am still unable to install itunes in Windows Vista

I have tried to run Fix it 4 times now after doing other things suggested in the Apple community and I am still unable to install itunes. Do you have any other ideas?

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?

Thanks C F McBlob but I recursively changed the permissions of my Music directory meaning every file and directory beneath it, as well as the directory itself, had the write permissions added.
I used "chmod -R u+w ./Music" and chmod -R g+w ./Music" to do it.
Alas, no cigar. :-(

I wind up having to force quit the installer. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

You still don't give us the message you are receiving. My guess: you are trying to open a PDF in a browser that uses its own PDF viewer, not the Adobe Reader plugin: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html

Do the charges work on oner iDevices?
Does the computer recognize your iPod?
Have you tried resetting your iPod:

Actually iAS-sp2 doesn't support win-2000 oficially, but it
works fine on it, i have tried this.
Very soon iAS-sp3 is going to be released to the market,
it supports win-2000 also.
Try this, i think it will help -
run regedit -
1. goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software and delete iPlanet
folder,
2. goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services
delete the entries for : adminXXX-serv, iAS60,
slapd4.1, slapd-servername.
run regedt32 -
1. goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Enum/Root
and changed the permission for key LEGACY_SLAPD-xxx from
security, and delete it, check in other controlSet also,
including currentControlSet.
Also look for the registry entry for domain name, sometimes
setting the domain name from control panel doesn't update
the domain name entry in registry, it happen with me also,
you have to manually edit the domain name entry in win
registry.
After that delete the iplanet home directory of previous
installation, and try installation again, it should work
fine, I have installed test-drive phase-II this way on
win-2000, it works fine.

Try restarting your devise by holding down the power button and the home button. The uninstalled app should disappear after a little while.

Uninstalled software deployed by SCCM still remains in Installed Applications

I noticed when we manually uninstalled a software which was deployed via SCCM, in Software Center, under Installed Applications, the software is still listed as installed there.
I know the only way to make the software unlisted under Software Center is to remove the software deployment on the Primary Site Server, refresh the client policy and the software will disappear from the Software Center, but that means it will disappear for
all the other computers which will need the software as well. I don't think this is a workable solution.
Possible to share if the uninstalled software will automatically disappear from the Installed Application to Available Application? If yes, how long would it take, does it depend on the next cycle where the SCCM client get new policies from the Primary Site
server?
The reason why I am asking this is because it might confuse the end user.
User: I thought you have uninstalled the software!
IT: Yes we did
User: Then why is it still listed under Installed Application in Software Center. It is bugging me! You didn't do your job.

You could check AppEnforce.log and CIAgent.log to confirm the current state for this application after running the Application Deployment Eval Cycle.
1. Find the ScopeID of the application in AppEnforce.log.
2. According to the ScopeID, check the current state for this application.

Lion Server install failed - yet still labelled as installed in MAS

On my lion test machine, I decided to test Lion Server, so I of course got the redemption code, popped it all in. When the actual "download" started - it instantly said it was complete - I never saw the download icon in the dock for it. Under MAS Purchases tab, I see Lion Server as "installed" - but of course, there is no way it could be, especially not without a reboot.
I rebooted. Still only Lion Client.
I've tried pkgutil --forgetpkg com.apple.Server, but its still listed as "installed" in MAS. I don't see anything /Applications, or / that could be a "Lion Server Installer".
Any ideas how to flip the "install" switch, so I can try re-installing in MAS?

Still can't install

SB CS4 is here and I am still trying to install SB CS3. I actually gave up and tossed it on my desk and left it there.
I downloaded Microsoft upgrades and fixes but I still can't install this. What a waste of money. The last time I asked about how to install I got a long list of what to do. Nothing worked.
Is there a free download or upgrade for people like me? I just want the darn thing on my computer without calling in the Geek Squad.

Installation issues are fully covered and it would be much simpler and quicker to talk to someone as you troubleshoot this installation issue than it is for us to go back and forth in the forums.
