Still firewalled - what did I forget?

I have been trying to work setting up Nicecast to
set-up a streaming server. Support has been very
helpful but it does appear that the issue is at my
end. I am unable to broadcast because of firewall. In
addition, when I use bittorrent I am also reported as
firewalled, though I am able to upload and download.
I have all my ports forwarded and enabled for the
requested ports on both routers but still I get these
errors. What am I forgetting?
Set-up is as follows: Zoom adsl>linksys Wireless
B>imac
What is the model of the zoom adsl modem, What is the model number of the linksys wireless router?
As far as I can tell, everywhere I have checked
firewalls are

It is more likely to be the router setup if you have disabled your macs internal firewall. However just to be sure your mac is not firewalling you at all use this command in your terminal.
sudo ipfw flush
However if you list your adsl modem and linksys router model numbers I may be able to see if your not doubled natted.

The terminal is called gnome-terminal, I think it's located in the system subfolder on the menu? (edit: or applications)
There are a few options for gnome music player. Rhythmbox, Banshee, and exaile all come to mind

Why has this technique stopped working for me???? I found instructions for something similar to what I wanted to do and changed a couple things. It worked the first few times. Now, not at all and I know it is something really, really simple that I am forgetting.
I have a simple b/w illus with type (created in Illus, opened and saved as psd) that I want to combine with a texture I created in ps using stipple brush. Think rubber stamp effect.
This is what I've been doing (using CS2):
Layer 1 on top is artwork cut & pasted from psd file, keeping transp background.
Layer 0 on bottom is texture pattern.
1. Layer 1: change blending mode to Color
2. Duplicate Layer 0
3. On this dupe layer, hit Command+Option+ ~ (tilde) to activate lumosity
4. Discard dupe layer (selection is still active)
5. Layer 1: click on Add Layer Mask icon
6. By hiding Layer 0, I can see my nicely masked artwork BUT I can't do anything with it.
If I copy Layer 1 (with its mask) and paste into a new doc, I just get the orig solid b/w art. If I flatten the layers, the background becomes white and when I paste the artwork into a new document, the background is not transparent.
What did I do correctly the first few times that I'm not doing now???

Music not recognized from old PC to new, what did i do wrong.

So i just got a new PC. I saved my entire Itunes file on an external hardrive. The music all transfers to the new PC and i loaded it into the newest Itunes. I authorized the new computer through Itunes and got all artwork. Now i cannot play songs or transfer music to my i-pod. I had to rboot the Ipod. so now i have an empty Ipod and a bunch of Music I cannot play. I've connested my Iphone and it seems to recognize it, but I'm afraid to connest it again until i trust the itunes to work. When I try to play a song it say cannot locate the original/
What did i do wrong? What can I do? I still have the old tower available to retreive Itunes

The index page copied from the template is now reading the css. I did nothing other than shut down DW and open it again. Maybe it just takes a while for the process to complete. Am now creating more pages that are also not reading css. Will do the same and see if it all connects.

In short, firefox was my web browser with a google window. Now, I open the mozilla window only to have google totally dominate the screen. Only for me, not my wife. What did I do, how do I correct???

I was using both firefox/mozilla and google but now when I click
on mozilla it trys to open but google dominates and I can't get into firefox to browse. Yet other users still have the normal screen and no problem. What did I do and how do I correct this problem?

First make sure that no application is using or has open any files on the disk. Then:
Click and drag the disk icon on the desktop to the trash. Wait for the system to recognize the action, and the icon should disappear from the desktop. It is then safe to remove the device.
Alternatively, you can secondary click on the disk icon, and then primary click "Eject (name of disk)". Wait for the icon to disappear off the desktop, and then it is safe to remove the drive.

Date/time in LR 2.1 -- still not what I expect

Date/time of images that I scanned and input the dates outside of Lightroom are now working better, but still not what I would call correct. If I use the Library Filter, the date selection is correct under "Date".
This is the date that Lightroom calls "Date Time Original" in the metadata panel available on the right side. But when I select a folder and ask LR to sort based on "Capture Time", it sorts on what it calls "Date Time" not what it calls "Date Time Original". What I put in Date Time is the scan date, usually called the "Date Time Digitized". (I care when they are digitized because that indicates the quality of the scanner.) This shows up as "Date Time" in the metadata panel.
So why is the metadata search based on "Date Time Original" and the sorting by "Date Time Digitized". Surely most people want a sort on "Date Time Original" (which is the same as LR's "Date Time" in a digital camera) not some other date. If they think some people really want the other date, then it should be a choice under sort.
The sort field is called "Capture Time". OK, I agree, I did scan the files on that date. So in that sense it is the "capture time" but MY opinion is I "captured" them on film on the "Date Time Original" date and that is always the date I want them sorted by. The other date is just for reference in my case.
If "Capture Time" is really what the designers of LR think I want, why is that not the date in the library filter?

It is peculiar, that Chrome, Safari, and Skype can access FB, but not the iPhoto uploader.
Do you see any error messages/ diagnostics in the Console Window, when you try to connect to Facebook?
Launch a Console window from Applications > Utilities and clear the Console Window. Then try to upload. Are there any new messages?
And also launch a Terminal and have a look, if "facebook.com" is properly resolved:

What did the EFI update do?

Exactly what did the update do? It said it fixed start up, and wake from sleep problems.
I'm wondering if it fixed my problem, or if I still have to re-install OSX.
I called apple care a few days ago, they said that my hard drive wasn't mounting correctly, and thats what gave me the folder with question mark when I had to restart my MBP because a freeze.
Does anyone know if the update will help me there? Or if I should just go ahead and re-install OSX? I would prefer not to re-install OSX, because I dont want to have to re-install all the updates, FCE, and replace all my files that I have backed up on my Ipod right now.

The mounting problem could be a problem with the operating system.
When you start your computer and it goes through a list of things to do as it starts up. Somewhere along the line your computer has turned on the harddrive and has said hello only to find that the software on the harddrive isn't saying hi back.
The guy on the phone thinks that by reinstalling the operating system on the harddrive you will fix the communication problem that is occuring between the computer and harddrive. I agree with him. By reinstalling the operating system you will find the problem should go away. Otherwaise if it doesn't you may need to call Apple Care and tell them your problem and what you have done so far to fix it. They will most likely replace the Harddrive which shouldn't take them too much time.
This is a very simple and not completely correct way of explaining what may be / may not be happening with your harddrive.

Did Adobe forget to include the new "Preserve Details" algorithm in Preferences General Image Interpolation?

In Photoshop CC 2014, if I open the "Image Size" dialog, using CTRL-I, I can choose which resample algorithm to use such as Automatic, and the new "Preserve Details" among others.
But when I go into: Preferences > General > Image Interpolation
The new "Preserve Details" algorithm is not listed. Did Adobe forget to include this? How do I tell Photoshop CC to use the new algorithm when using tools such as Crop?

I still say that an adaptation of the "Preserve Details" function to be a general purpose image resampling tool (e.g., for use in crops, transforms, etc.) would be WELL worth Adobe doing.

Since installing Snow Leopard I lost my iWeb files-- I found them and put them back where they belong.
But now I notice that my websites URL has changed
It was ie: like www.blahblahblah.com
but now its getting published like www.blahblahblah.com/blahblahblah
how do I get rid of the last bit with the underscores
I have tried from iWeb on the Publishing info screen to omit the spaces between the website name
form blah blah blah to blahblahblah this still doesnt work (I get www.blahblahblah.com/blahblahblah as the published site)
What did I do wrong and how do I go about just getting the site back to www.blahblahblah.com

Do you mean like this: http://toadstutorials.info. If that's the case the only way you can get that is to have domain name forwarding with masking. However, the downside to that is visitors can only bookmark the entry or first page of your site. That may or may not be a deal breaker.
I've just noticed that iWeb is now using underscores for spaces in web site and page names instead of 20%. I don't know when it started but must have been after the latest iWeb update, 3.0.1

Plugged in old IPhone( IPhone 4)
Synced to ITunes.
Unplugged and erased old IPhone (IPhone 4)
Plugged in new IPhone (IPhone 4 S)
Followed instructions.
Restore from old Phone Option.
Restored Old Apps But No Contact info, Text, or Photos.
What did I do Wrong?
Can I still recover my old Info?

Do you have a backup of your iphone? if you do, then go to settings -general - reset - erase all contents and settings. This will wipe your phone clean, then you will have the option to restore from backup http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766

I am thinking about buying a new mac but I'm only really concerned about the movie making software. I have used iMovie a few years ago and I liked it for the most part but I want some personal feedback on it. What did you think of the new software? What has changed in the last few years? If You last used iMovie HD6 then the change is severe - it's a compleately new tool.
If iMovie'08 or 09 the difference is not that great.

Repeating the message 'Did you forget your password? "message. Help

When I try to login to the iTunes store or check my account I get the error message:
*Did you forget your password? Your password was incorrectly entered numerous times and for your protection, you will need to retrieve it before continuing to use the iTunes store'*
Of course I have followed the link, re-set my password, tried to log in and I get the message again - and again - and again
the iphone works normally.

as you suspected, when you click on that "Did you forget your password" link on your local install, you're supposed to be taken to the screen where you can have your password reset to a system-generated value. after resetting the password, an email is then sent to the email address associated with that users record. having said this, can you let me know the URL to which that link is directing you on your local install (sending it to [email protected] would be great)? it sounds as if it's not pointing to the right place...for some reason. to be thorough, could you maybe include the url of the screen you're coming from as well? maybe there'll be a clue there as to what might be causing your issue.
