    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

    If you have a rescue email address on that account then you've checked the inbox and spam folder on that email account as well (and you can't get the password reset by answering your security questions on http://iforgot.apple.com) ? If you still can't find then try contacting Support in your country, they should be able to reset the password for you.

  • As of 1:00pm Thursday, 3/1/12, I am no longer receiving any email, nor can I send anything out from my account. I am OS4.1.1, hoping to upgrade next week to Leopard (because my mac is not Intel-based), but in the meantime, it's non-functional.

Spent 30 minutes on online chat last night with someone most unhelpful, only to be told that the reason I'm not receiving anything is because my email is being forwarded to another address. I set my preferences to do that several years ago when this mac.com/me.com server began having so many issues, to ensure I was receiving email so I could check from my other address. The only comment I got was well, we no longer support 10.4.1 so there isn't anything we can do to help you. The status update says 33% of their customers are unable to migrate. So I'm pretty sure I'm not alone and that is a pretty large base of customers to no longer provide support to. Is anyone else who has not migrated to iCloud experiencing these email problems? Currently my iDisk works to transfer my larger files, but my email does not.

    I think they're slowly nudging people to switch, .mac & MobileMe are going away about July, may as well set it up now.
    I understand .mac mail will still come through.
    iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
    IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
    • Server name: imap.mail.me.com
    • SSL Required: Yes
    • Port: 993
    • Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    • Password: Your iCloud password

    Start here (change country if necessary) and navigate to 'Password and Security', reset your security questions using the link provided, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
    If that doesn't help, you don't receive a reset email or you don't have a rescue address, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
    If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

    You've checked the spam folder on your rescue email account as well as its inbox, and tried clicking the reset link again ? If you still don't receive it then contact Support in your country, after confirming your id and that it's your account they should be able to reset them.
    Contacting Apple about account security : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security.
    When they've been reset check that your rescue email address is spelt correctly for potential future use : Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses.

    After setting up your account - power off your phone and power it back on and see if you receive any emails.
    For outgoing mail depending on what account your using, check in the mail settings and see if you need to enter a password for your outgoing mail server, - same password as your incoming mail.
