Still images get mixed - Premiere elements 9

I make a series of say 3 or 4 still jpg images as titles for my movie. All with identical background but with different text. When I drag them to the timeline the first one persists but the others in the sequence will not show when I play them in the preview window. This does not happen if the images are completley different. Renaming the files has no effect. What is happening?

Bob,
I understand what you mean about the appearance of movie clips in the timeline, I don’t think that is the problem. With every other video editor I have used if I drag a number of still images into the timeline they will all behave like separate clips for however longer I want them and they will each show up in the timeline and in the preview window as I scrub along. At the moment instead of a mini movie of 4 still images I get a movie of the first image in the line repeated for times. The other image files are named in the timelinebut cannot be viewed in the edit and they don’t appear in the saved movie I am doing something wrong somewhere.

  • Setting Still Image Durations in Premiere Elements 8

I've been using Premiere Elements 4 for awhile and never did find a solution to a simple problem.   Now I can't see any improvements worth anything in version 8 either.
I have, say, 100 jpgs.  I want to create a slide show with, to start with, a constant duration of 10 seconds each.
If I just add them all I get a duration of 5 seconds each.  There then seems to be no way to pick them in groups and change them to any other duration (a feature of a number of other DVD making programs).
I deleted all the jpgs from the sceneline.  In preferences I set the duration to 350 frames (should be just over 11 seconds  -- but way not allow me to pick seconds - which is after all the result I want).  I readded all the jpgs from the project list and they didn't have 11 seconds duration (still 5).  Do I have to wipe the whole project.   Set the duration and reget all the media?
I've googled away for awhile but am too dumb to find an answer to what should be a very simple question.
I'm not clear I'm asking in the right place but I'm trying anyway.
Thanks for any help that anyone can be.
    Paul

    Paul,
The stills Duration setting has been Feature Request for some many versions now, and, as mentioned, just made it into PrPro with CS5. I would suggest filing that Feature Request for PrE, so that maybe it will be incorporated into PrE 9, due out in several months, if the normal life-cycle holds true.
I am with you on seeing little, to no need to upgrade from PrE 4 to PrE 8, but have to admit that I felt the same way about PrPro, which I use much more often. However, the changes in the CS5 suite (especially PrPro and AE), has me working to get a new workstation and then the full upgrade. There are enough enhancements to sway me completely, even at the expense of new hardware.
I do recommend Steve's articles on authoring in PrE, especially regarding the Menus. I've done a couple of articles in Tips & Tricks on modifying the Menu Sets, but Steve covers ALL topics, related to authoring. As I seldom do authoring in PrE, I have to go to his articles to "brush up," so I appreciate them greatly.
    Good luck,

  • Orientation of Still Images Wrong in Premiere?

As many users of various Adobe programs, have had issues with Still Images, that were shot in Portrait Mode, but when rotated in PrE’s/PSE’s, Organizer, or Adobe Bridge, find that the Images do not Import in the correct orientation, I wanted to address the problem.
When shot, the pixels are arranged in a certain order, basically appearing as Landscape, or 90 degrees out of orientation.
When one changes the orientation in Organizer, or Bridge (or many other similar programs), they are ONLY changing a flag, on how to display the Image, and are NOT altering the actual pixels, in any way. Each program has a unique way to actually apply Rotation, which will change the pixels, but that will depend on the exact program.
When ONLY the display of the Images has been changed, if one Imports into PrE, or PrPro, the Images will come in, just as shot, regardless of what the display has been changed to.
To actually Rotate the Image, as is needed, when Imported into a program, like Premiere, one will need to either use the editing features of their cataloging program (Organizer, Bridge, etc.), or do that work in Photoshop, or Photoshop Elements.
Now, once Imported, they can do Rotation in their NLE (Non Linear Editor), but the algorithms are better in Photoshop, or Photoshop Elements, and doing so, before Import, is recommended.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

In Photoshop Elements Organizer, here are steps to actually change the pixels to Rotate:
1-- first change the Organizer Prefernces to actually rotate the photo file which "flips" the actual dimensions of the photo file.
2-- multiple select the necessary photo thumbnails in the Organizer workspace and use the right click menu on one of the selected photos in order to rotate all the selected photos
3-- note that if you have portrait photos which display correctly in the Organizer thrumbnails when you first import those photos -- you may need to do a double rotate if later you will want to use these photos in Premiere Elements (rotate 90 degress in one direction so it looks on its side an then rotate 90 degrees back to the original position)
    for your CURRENT project
yes initially your slideshow that has been sent to Premiere Elements does appear on the Timeline orSceneline ..... however ..
it is not obvious that -
Thanks to Barb O for those details.

  • Poor still image quality in Premiere Pro

Hi, I am new to Premiere Pro. A couple of weeks ago I made 2 slide shows using still pictures from a school trip to Washington DC. I added .m4a audio files and they look great. Today I made 3 more slide shows, same sources, but the picture quality isn't there. It seems I must have changed something? The quality of the pictures varies, as they come from different cameras, but when I have a high quality picture - for example 5 MB - that looks great in Windows Photo Viewer, it still looks bad in Premiere Pro. I'm using Fit and Full, pictures look bad in the smaller window and when viewed full screen. This is before any exporting.
It occurs to me that I didn't know about rendering until I watched a tutorial, now when I make changes I hit enter to render. Could that have anything to do with it? I see my Arlington video isn't rendered now (shows red sections), and it's one of the ones that looks good.
Typically when I create a project I choose Frames for Display Format and HDV for Capture Format. I don't see any differences between the old and new projects.
I'm supposed to hand out DVDs at school tomorrow, it's the last day so I need help! Thanks

The list is valid if you save the file in square pixels.
However, I believe there is an easier way if one has
    Photoshop.
In Photosohop, you can change the image pixel
aspect ratio directly.  The drop down for that parameter lists common video formats.
Change the PAR first (e.g., 1.33)  and then, using the crop tool set for the frame dimensions, e.g., 1440 x 1080.  Save the file.  Premiere will recognize the image format.  There's no reason to keep track of what the square pixel frame size is.
You can create Photoshop Actions to somewaht automate this process.

  • Still image sizes in Premiere Pro CS5.5

I've been looking for quite a while on Adobe's help pages, these forums, and also the PDF manual, but can't find the info I'm looking for.
I'm moving from Final Cut Studio to the Adobe suite of video production for various reasons. I've purchased (though not yet received) the Production Premium upgrade. I have a new project I'm starting, and want to correctly size my images for Premiere Pro. For instance, Final Cut Studio has this handy chart:
    The video sequence frame size
If you are using this format                               is                    Use graphics with this frame size
    CCIR 601 NTSC 4:3                                  720 x 486                             720 x 547
    CCIR 601 NTSC 16:9 anamorphic               720 x 486                             853 x 486
    DV NTSC 4:3                                            720 x 480                             720 x 540
    DV NTSC 16:9 anamorphic                        720 x 480                              853 x 480
    CCIR 601/DV PAL 4:3                               720 x 576                              768 x 576
    CCIR 601/DV PAL 16:9 anamorphic            720 x 576                             1024 x 576
    720p HD                                                  1280 x 720                            1280 x 720
    1080i or 1080p HD                                   1920 x 1080                          1920 x 1080
    So for a standard 4:3 DV NTSC video, I make my still images 720 x 540 pixels. 16:9 anamorphic, 853 x 480.
For whatever reason, this type of information is completely missing in the manuals for CS5.5. I did however find this information related to Premiere Pro 4:
4:3 DV (NTSC) or ATSC SD—create and save the square-pixel file at 720x534.
    4:3 D1 (NTSC)—create and save the square-pixel file at 720x534.
4:3 DV or D1 (PAL)—create and save the file at 788x576.
16:9 DV (NTSC)—create and save the file at 864x480.
    16:9 D1 (NTSC)—create and save the file at 872x486.
16:9 DV or D1 (PAL)—create and save the file at 1050x576.
    16:9 1080i HD—create and save the file at 1920x1080.
    16:9 720p HD—create and save the file at 1280x720.
So did this apply to CS5.5 as well? Meaning if I'm creating a standard 4:3 DV NTSC video, my still images should be 720 x 534, and 16:9 anamorphic 864 x 480? Not quite sure what the distinction is between DV and D1, other than the anamorphic sizes are different.
I also know these are different from Final Cut Studio. In Apple's manuals, they come right out and say the pixel sizes FCS uses for stills are different from most video editing software. So I'm not surprised to see 720 x 534 for for 4:3 NTSC in Premiere Pro rather than Apple's size of 720 x 540.
    Thanks.

  • How do I get a Premiere Elements 11 project to Revel

In Premiere Elements 11, what format do I save a project to so I can get the video into Revel?

    dwlmgold
Premiere Elements 11 does not have an export to Adobe Revel in its Publish+Share section as does Premiere Elements 12.
    http://atr935.blogspot.com/2013/10/pe12-adobe-revel-add-mediapublishshare.html
So for Premiere Elements 11, I would be guided by the April 23, 2014 FAQ in the Adobe Revel Forum.
FAQ: Which file formats does Revel support?
You could try saving the Timeline to file via
    Publish+Share
    Computer
    AVCHD
with one of the .mp4 presets
Then you would upload the file to your account at Adobe Revel.
For further information about export to file your Premiere Elements 11 Timeline, I would need more information on your Premiere Elements 11 project settings and the properties of your source media. Video uploads to Adobe Revel can be problematic, so you might want to post your Adobe Revel uploading type issues in the Adobe Revel Forum. We, here in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum, can help you with your Premiere Elements 11 export to file settings for that project.
    Revel
We look forward to further details to assist you in your project.
    Thanks.

  • Can't get my Premiere Elements 11 to reinstall

I am told that you are only allowed a finite number of times that you can reinstall Premiere Elements 11 and I seem to have reached it.
What do I do now ?

    frodron
Thanks for the reply. Lots of details to be sorted out.
    1. If you have Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 installed on Windows 7 64 bit, then
    a. Photoshop Elements 11 is a 32 bit application in a 64 bit system and its key files would be in Program Files (x86).
    b. Premiere Elements 11 is a 64 bit application in Windows 7 64 bit and its key files would be in Program Files.
So if you found otherwise, there is a major problem. Did you use default locations during installation or customize?
    2. Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 each come with its own Elements Organizer 11 if you purchase them separately and only one is on a given computer. But, when you purchase Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 and install them on the same computer, then they share the same Elements Organizer 11 catalog. So, if both Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 are on your one computer, then they are sharing the same Elements Organizer 11.
    3. NTSC versus PAL. There should be a NTSC or PAL set up choice right after you insert your purchased serial number and the Adobe Licensing Agreement is OK'd. Could you post a screenshot of the dialog where you are being forced into a NTSC set up? Is there any chance that you are overlooking choices when you are downloading and installing these programs?
    4. If you can get into the Elements Organizer 11 and not Premiere Elements 11, I am suspecting that you are having an activation issue.
Did you have a chance to read through the following:

  • How to get Adobe Premiere Elements 11 to download (replacing a destroyed computer)

First, I am an old man who is not that computer literate....Now, I purchased in December of last year Adobe Premiere Elements 11 from Best Buy.  I reg. it with Adobe.  I have all the numbers associated with the programs.  My problem, my computer was destroyed and I am attempting to put back my programs on my new computer.  I can't find out how to download the programs.  Is there someone I can call at Adobe to help me with my problem.....?????Thanks, wash

if you follow all 7 steps you can dl a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-11-direct-download-links-pse-premiere-pre.htm l
    and activate with your serial.
if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

  • Premiere Elements 8 - Still pictures in PE are blurred compared to original

My system is Intel Q6600 CPU, Windows 7 64bit, 6GB memory, 1TB C: drive, 2TB E:drive, NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 video card, Premiere Elements 8, using Microsoft Office Picture manager to look at still originals.
The Premiere Elements 8 project settings include editing mode = DVNTSC and Frame size = 720H x 480V.
My issue is the still picture in PE is blurry compared to the picture viewed in MS Picture Manager.  The pictures are either scanned or downloaded from web pages.  Here is a list of pictures with their file size and pixels count:
Scaned Pics not as good in PE as original
    Cecil about 1921 - 1.5KB - 954x1440 pixels
    Stephson & Nancy Shirey - 147KB - 480x720 pixels
    Cecil about 1927 - 678KB - 768x870 pixels
    Cecil about 1928 - 736KB - 696x948 pixels
    Cecil 193X - 1MB - 1044x1608 pixels
    Ceceil HS basketball team - 2.4MB - 2070x1416 pixels
    Cecil 1941 at gas station - 250KB - 924x1482 pixels
    Cecil Marian 1942 gas station - 336KB - 1092x1746
    pixels
Web Pics not as good in PE as download
    Cotton_field 1928 - 372KB - 1600x960 pixels
    Cotton plant 17KB - minor degrade - 350x304 pixels
    Turner School 1919 - 22KB - 450x275 pixels
    Douglas Aircraft Front - 299KB - 720x587 pixels
I burned a trial DVD to see if the picture quality would be better after processing onto DVD but it was not.
What can I do to improve PE picture quality?

Use Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to scale the pictures before you import into PreElements
    Photo Scaling for Video http://forums.adobe.com/thread/450798
Also, do be aware that photo dpi (dots per inch) does NOT translate to video... I don't have the exact number handy, but I think a DVD resolution video is "about" 72 dpi (BluRay is higher, but since I don't do BluRay I have not even a guess at picture resolution)

  • How do i get flv files in premiere elements

how can i get the premiere elements to use flv. files?

    verdanexi
What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system it is running?
In the absence of that information, the following is a generalized no can do answer.
Although files with flv file extensions can be exported from Premiere Elements, you cannot import flv files into Premiere Elements.
There used to be a time when earlier versions could use a Moyea plug-in to force Premiere Elements to accept flv files.
    how to edit .flv files
Your flv are going to have to be converted into another format before import into Premiere Elements if you want to use Premiere Elements as your video editor.

The link is provided for informational rather than promotional reason. I have not used it, but I have seen reports that it is free and works well for flv to avi.

  • How can I get past dialog box that wants my country/region?  Premiere Elements 13 will not open!!!

Cannot get past the country/region dialog box because the list will not allow me to select the United States as the place where I live.  The list is too long and no way to get to the bottom to select the United States!!!  I can't get into Premiere Element 13.

    TNDOGGER888
    Thank you for the reply.
    Let us start with
    1. Is the computer operating system Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit? If it is and you are installing Premiere Elements 13, then the program files will go by default to Local Disk C/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Premiere Elements 13 as the default location. If you have a computer that is using other than Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit, then it will not. Another question is, when your drives were set up, was the SSD drive designated the C drive?
    2. From what you wrote, I understood that you were using your installation files or installation disc to install the program, but were getting stopped very early in the installation process because you could not set the country/language. Typically that setting is done while you are starting the installation. One of the early dialog boxes that you get in that process is named Choose Setup Language (or something like that). That is where I believed you could not set the country/language. Is that the place to which you were referring or some place else?
    3. You do not need to uninstall Premiere Elements 10 to install and run Premiere Elements 13. Just use one program at a time.
Typically 32 bit applications in a 64 bit computer operating system run in the 32 bit compatibility mode of the 64 bit system. And, these 32 bit applications program files will be in Program Files (x86) Folder. The 64 bit applications program files would be in Program Files. With regard to Premiere Elements 10, some of its files may be found in Program Files and Program Files (x86).
But, the main focus now is getting Premiere Elements 13 installed to the default location on the Local Disk C/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Premiere Elements 13 during the installation process after you designate the country/language and are given a country dependent NTSC or PAL system with which to work.
From a quick look at 13 installation on Windows 7 64 bit, the first installation dialog that mentions language with country implications is
This is for Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 7 or 8.1 64 bit. Since you say that the United States is further down the list in your case, I suspect this is not the place where you are having problems. Note the default location in this Options dialog. Did you leave that as is or change it to something else?
Are you having these issues when you get to the Sign In dialog or some place else?
Please consider and then let us decide what next.
Many thanks for the follow up. Appreciated.

  • Large Still Images into PE - One Workflow

Everyone wants the highest quality that they can obtain when doing their videos. It’s natural to want the best. Well, when dealing with still images, bigger is not necessarily better, for two reasons. First, overly large still images can really tax a system and second, one is limited to the frame size of the video, so these have to be resized somewhere - this resizing can be in the NLE (Non Linear Editor) program, or in an image processing program like PS (Photoshop), which does a better job anyway. Doing this in PS, or PSE, will result in better resized images, and they are easier for the NLE to work with. Quality is as high as your Project’s Preset will allow, and you are more efficient, with fewer crashes, slowdowns and hangs. It is a win-win situation.
Here is my normal workflow when dealing with still images. This workflow is for NTSC 4:3 720x480 with a PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratio) of 0.9. If your Project’s Presets are different, use those specs to resize to.
Since I shoot my still images in RAW, I Copy my files from the CF card to my system and catalog these images by location, subject and date (if necessary). I’ll do a quick conversion and Save_As Adobe DNG for backup. I then process these RAW images in PS with the ARC (Adobe Raw Converter), correcting them and then doing a Save_As PSD into a sub-folder. All of this is in my still photo library.
Normally, I will edit these PSD’s to find the images that I wish to use in a Video Project, and will Copy the selected images to another folder. You’ll see that I work with a lot of Copies, so my original files are always untouched and stored elsewhere. This guards against anything happening to them.
At this point, I’ll decide how I wish to use these selected images in my Video Project. Let’s just say that they are all horizontal images, and are still full-size from my camera. As stated, my Video Projects are DV-NTSC 4:3 720x480 PAR 0.9. [Remember, your Video Project may vary, so you will need to plug in the dimensions for YOUR Video Project in that case.] I also will have done my Cropping on each image individually, to get them to 4:3 Aspect Ratio. I do this my eye and by hand, rather than via an Action, because I want full aesthetic control.
In PS, I have a set of Actions for Video. An Action is like a Script, but less powerful and less involved in the writing. As I have already done all of my image enhancements and additional processing before I did my Copy to the selected folder, I only have to worry about my Action resizing these selected images for use in my Video Project. My Action here is to resize to 720x480 with a PAR of 0.9, and I normally use the Action that does this with a particular resizing algorithm, Bicubic-Smoother (though I also use Bicubic-Sharper on occasion).
For the next step, I go to my folder structure (remember, this folder contains copies of my selected still images in PSD format), and create a new sub-folder "[Project Name]_720x480." Back in PS, I choose File>Automate>Batch. Here I set my Source Folder, my Destination folder and the Action to perform. In my case, it’ll be the Destination Folder, that I just created, [Project Name]_720x480, and my Action will be my NTSC 4:3 720x480 Smooth. I check to have the Open command by-passed, because I do not need to see this take place on my monitor. When I hit OK, PS grabs all files in my Source Folder, runs the commands of my Action and does a Save_As for all files into my Destination Folder. I can process hundreds of large images down to a great 720x480 PAR 0.9 via Bicubic-Smoother interpolation, in moments. Now, I’m ready to go. Last, I Copy my Destination Folder to my Video Project’s folder hierarchy (usually on another HDD), and then Import these processed stills into my NLE.
What if I need to pan on one, or more of these images, while they are zoomed out completely? I don’t have enough pixels in my horizontal dimension to do this. I am just filling the frame with my still. Well, if I find that there are such images, I go back to my folder with the full sized images in my still images library, and select the ones that need to be larger. I run another Action on these, but it’s one that resizes to something larger than 720x480, say 1000x750. Now, I have another Destination Folder with the name [File Name]_1000x750. I’ll Copy this over to my Video Project, and Import these into the NLE. Here, I can go to Project Panel and remove the 720x480 versions if I so choose, but since a Premiere Project file (.PRPROJ or .PREL) is only an XML database, I may just leave them. It does not contain any media files, just links to where they are on the system and to what operations are performed on them.
By doing my resizing in PS, rather than in Premiere, I have accomplished two things:
1.) I have better quality resized images, using the algorithms in PS, plus have a choice of several interpolation methods to work with.
2.) I have lessened the processing load on my NLE and on my system, while doing the editing
I get higher quality and lower resource overhead - hence my reference to "win-win."
Now, back to my aesthetic control. I do not do any automatic zooming or panning. If one allows the NLE to do this, then they will want to probably process all of their images to 1000x750 (remember, this is for an NTSC 4:3 Project, so you will need to calculate what YOUR Project will require).
The two programs that I use are Photoshop and Premiere Pro, but Photoshop Elements can do the same things, though the exact commands might be different. Premiere Elements will handle the resized still images, just like Premiere Pro and the only difference will be the terminology used when one wishes to Import the still images.
I also keep all of my images in .PSD (the native format of PS), and do not convert to JPEG, or other. If one’s camera shoots only JPEG, I suggest writing the Action to do the Save_As to .PSD, as another JPEG compression will cost one quality. Yes, the JPEG’s will be smaller, but remember we are looking for the ultimate quality, so larger file sizes are just part of that equation.
One does not have to deal with all of the Copies, as I do. However, this allows me to go back to the originals, or to the processed full-sized .PSD’s at any step along the way. There is only one thing worse than not being able to go back to an intermediate version with full Layers and Adjustment Layers, plus any Alpha Channels, and that is finding out that you’ve lost your original RAW and DNG backups! That’s why I do a lot of Save_As and also work from Copies all along the way.

Your workflow looks good. I do similar, but use PS, in lieu of LightRoom. I also do DNG's for my archives.
Provided that one chooses a JPEG compression algorithm setting that does not do too much compression, I doubt that anyone, but the most very critical, could tell the difference in Video. Most of my tests on PSD vs JPEG have been for print. There, one can more easily detect the differences. Video "hides" some of that.
To date, I have not had a Project where the Asset size differences between equally sized PSD's vs JPEG's caused any slowdown, or problem. There could be a resources savings with the smaller JPEG files, but there is a tiny bit of overhead dealing with the JPEG compression. I have never tested this, so can only guess that the smaller Asset size of the JPEG would trump that overhead - just a guess on my part.
For me, keeping the images in PSD does save a tiny bit of work in my Action (basically one less operation to perform), but I doubt that one could measure that time difference, even over the automation of hundreds of images. Besides, it's only one additional line in the Action. My feelings on JPEG vs PSD is firmly based in my print experience, and I am probably being too critical with images going to video. When I move up to HD and BD authoring, I need to apply a very critical eye, to see if I can tell the differences on an HD TV. So long as one does not apply too much JPEG compression, the differences should be very slight, at the worst, and maybe not even noticed, at best.
I do minimize the impact of many files on my Project by sizing to what I need. If I will not be doing any pans on zoomed-out images, I size to my Project. For pans on zoomed-out images, I calculate just what I will need for those pans, and might end up with several groups of sizes, to accommodate each. Still, the vast majority will be sized to exactly what I need for the Project - very few extra pixels.
In my case, and yours too, I have my RAW, my DNG, my working Layered PSD's, and then my sized output. I always keep all working PSD's, as I might change my mind, or my client might change theirs, and I do not want to have to go back and redo work, if I still have those working files. I also do as little destructive editing, as I can, using Dupe Layers, and Adjustment Layers, whenever possible. If I can, I never Flatten, or Merge Layers, so I can make any/all changes at any time, and only have to do the resizing via the same Actions. That is basically a "one-button" solution, once I have made the changes required.
    Good luck,

  • Windows\system32\QUARTZ.dll can't open in Windows.  Can't use Premiere Elements.

I am looking for a way to get a solution to this error which keeps preventing me from opening my Premiere Elements 11 program.  I have previously used the program without any problems.  But last week I had a new HDD installed in my laptop (Dell Studio XPS 1640 running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit).  Now I can't open Premiere Elements and can't edit my videos.
When I try to open the program, I get an error which reads:
Font Capture: Adobe Premiere Elements.exe - Bad Image
C:\Windows\system32\QUARTZ.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.  Try installing the program again using the original instalation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support
My computer technician did use an image of my laptop to transfer everything onto the new HDD.  I have no idea if that is relevant to this software problem.
I posted this question previously and was directed to a link which instructed me to update my DirectX and other graphics drivers.  I did all that already.  I still can't open Premiere Elements.  I want to ask Adobe Support, but since they just launched Premiere Elements 12, I guess I no longer get direct support from Adobe? Not sure but that is how it seems to work.  I will try any advice given to resolve this issue, if anyone has ideas.
    Thanks!
    Janeen

Did you try reinstalling as indicated by the error message?  Transferring images is not a good way to install Adobe programs.
