Still missing a weekly view on iPhone....

Question

...why is it so complicated?
I am using my iPhone calendar also to arrange appointments and just missing a weekly view. What is the reason for this simply function not delivered?

This is what I did:
- (void)viewDidLoad {
[super viewDidLoad];
[NSThread detachNewThreadSelector:@selector(updaterThread) toTarget:self withObject:nil];
- (void)updaterThread {
while(YES) {
NSAutoreleasePool *pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc] init];
[self performSelectorOnMainThread:@selector(updateCounters) withObject:nil waitUntilDone:NO];
[NSThread sleepForTimeInterval:0.1];
[pool release];
In updateCounters I do what I used to do in the timer.
