Are there any plans to make Windows phone more popular for app developers? Still most company-specific apps are only made for Android and Iphone.
Coming from a Symbian phone, the Lumia 710 was a big disappointment, especially the navigation apps which still aren't restored to what we had several years ago. Slowly slowly the navigation is getting better only for WP 8 phones, but as long as Lumia isn't interesting for app developers, it isn't interesting for me either.

Why do you say that Windows Phone isn't interesting for developers? Windows Phone is already the second most sold mobile system on several important markets, like the huge market of emergent countries. As a matter of fact Windows Phone is outselling iOS in markets like South America, for instance. I think is just a matter of time 'til companies realize that.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Try rebooting your iPad and see if they reappear.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If they still do not show up, make sure hat you don't have content restrictions set that could prevent certain apps from showing up on your iPad. Settings>General>RestrictionsAllowed Content.
if you still don't see them, connect your iPad to iTunes on your computer and you should see them in the iPad mini screens on the right side of iTunes after the iPad has been selected under "devices" and when you are in the apps pane of iTunes.

After updating to ios5 most of my apps are gone! Help!

I synced my iPad to my iTunes but after updating my iPad to ios5, most of my apps are not in iTunes and they are wiped off of my iPad! What did I do wrong? I can't even remember half of the apps I purchased. Most of them were for my 5-year old son. I downloaded all of them through the App Store. As long as the apps are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 .Those that are still in the store should be listed in the Purchased link on the right-hand side of the iTunes Store home page on your computer's iTunes, and there should be a 'download all' button at the bottom of it so you don't have to re-download them one-by-one.
When you've downloaded them to your computer you could then try restoring to your backup and see if that copies them and their content back to the iPad (the backup itself doesn't contain the actual apps, just their content/settings, so for the restore to work it needs access to the actual apps)

Keep in mind as well that not all apps are "created equal". Some are really good, and others are not very good. You might also want to look at some education sites for recommendations. An example of a general iPads in education forum is

but I imagine some exist for special education needs as well. Our healthcare organization is using some apps for working with autistic children and find them very helpful.

When I open emails with PDFs I click on the attachment (doing this all on my iPad) it gives me the option to "open in iBooks", I accept then after that the document is sucked into my iPad but I can't do anything with the PDF after that. Where is the actual file on my iPad? Why can't I email or send these PDFs to my cloud (Dropbox)?
It's like once they go into iBooks they're stuck forever.

After downloading latest Reader software (11) on my Mac (OS10.7.5) I cannot print pdf files on either of my two printers. How do I uninstall and reinstall the software? Adobe's instructions are only for Window devices.

You can just drag the file to the trash. If you want you can remove the pdf plug-in from the internet-plug in folder, but that should not be necessary to correct your problem.

How to use Flash recovery area only for flashback database feature

I would like to use flash recovery area only for flashback database feature, which means, flash recovery area will store only flashback logs.
I dont want to use that file system for any other files, like archive log files, database backups, control file copies, multiplex redo log, etc
is it possible? I want to use this feature only for flashback database option and hence i dont want to disturb any existing configuration in my database
including backup jobs. Is it required to store archive redo log files also in flash recovery area to use the flashback database feature?
I certainly can't afford to have a copy of entire database in this file system as size of my DB is more than the flash recovery area file system I have.

Okay, well in that case you can use RMAN and push the backups to the tape drives. FLB logs would be stored on the FRA.

Yes, I have the tethering plan. I was connected with USB and Bluetooth when I had the 3G.
I am can now connect with USB, I recieved a new not seen before window when I plugged in the phone with the Network window open that allowed me to click on apply an connect.

First, in iTunes, launch Preferences and go to the Devices tab. Check the date and time of the last backup. If it is recent you can restore it. However, if you mean you have the photos back in your Camera Roll then the backup was already restored. To get your music and apps back it should just be necessary to click "Sync".
