Still need Acrobat X Pro

Everything downloaded except Acrobat X Pro - can I still get it for my 30 day trial?

Please try intiating a direct download by following the steps listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.
Alternately you can complete solution 4 in Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html#main_Solutio n_4.  If you still have difficulties then please also implement solution 1 which will reset the downloading experience.

  • Need Acrobat 8 Pro response code

My computer crashed. I am trying to reinstall Acrobat 8 Pro. This version of Acrobat 8 Pro is an upgrade from a earlier version for which I don't have the serial number anymore. During the install it asks for the current and old serial numbers. I only have the current number. The install process states to contact support for a Response Code to complete the installation. Please send me the response code. The product can not be deactivated on the old computer's hard drive has crashed and can not be repaired.

  • Does a client need Acrobat 9 Pro, to use a form created with the program?

Do you need to have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, in order to use and/or view forms and portfolios created with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro?
If so, is there a free version that I can direct clients to download, so that they will be able to use and or view documents I am creating with Acrobat 9 Pro?

Will the user be able to save the form with the data he/she entered?
That depends upon if the file is specially Reader enabled. For some forms Acrobat Standard or higher is needed to file and save form data.

  • Need Acrobat 9 pro install/download files

Over the years, my group has purchased Acrobat 7 Pro, 8 Pro, and 9 Pro...  I have serial numbers for all of the above listed in my My Adobe/My Products area.  I have disks for both 7 and 8 pro... Unfortunately, when our purchasing agent bought 9 pro, she only bought it as a download. (no disk!!!)
2 years later, my hardrive crashes, I get a new machine, and now I need to install 9 pro, so I can update to X.
I can reinstall Acrobat 8, but the sys-admin rules run every night to uninstall it.  The agency bought Acrobat X Pro as an upgrade for those with Acrobat 9 pro, but because I can't find install files to use, can't get there...
Any suggestions?  I need the install/download files to be able to install Acrobat 9 Pro.  I have a license to use, just need the files.

To download Acrobat 9 Professional :
Go to the web page : http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=acrobat_pro&loc=en
Login with your Adobe ID and Password. Now instead of clicking on the download button copy and paste the following link on the address bar and hit enter : http://trials2.adobe.com/Applications/Acrobat/APRO/9/trials/AcroPro90_efg.exe
This is the direct download link for Acrobat 9.
Note : This link would only work from the downloads page of Acrobat 10.
And as 'Top Gun Ben' replied : you don't need to install apro 9 to upgrade to apro x, just be ready with both serial numbers ( 9 and x ) upon launching x the first time for it will ask for both. In installing the upgrade version x, you just need the x serial, but when launching it the first time it will ask for both the x first and in the next page the qualifying version, which in your case the pro 9.

  • Reinstalled entire computer. Need Acrobat XI Pro back. Where do I download?

    Hi there.
I had to reinstall everything on my computer, and therefore I also need to reinstall Acrobat XI Pro again. I got a key.no. but can't find a link where I can download the program without having to purchase it again.
    Someone please help.

If it was a volume license, purchased by work, you need to go through the volume license coordinator for your organisation, as it needs a different install.
If it was a retail version, you can download the Acrobat XI Pro trial, and use the serial number to make it "live". Download Adobe Acrobat free trial | Acrobat XI Professional
Be sure to keep what you download - and not just on the computer; on a CD for example. [If you keep it on the computer, all is lost when the hard drive fails or computer is stolen]. There is really no guarantee you will be able to download it next time.

  • Need Acrobat 9 Pro back

    Hi, everybody!
Moved to CS6 (Design & Web Premium, Win7 64-bit) but I'm not happy with Acrobat X Pro--I need my comments on the bottom of Acrobat window and not on the right side. Can I uninstall only Acrobat X Pro from CS6 Design & Web Premium collection and reinstall Acrobat 9 Pro from CS5 safely?
    Claudius

You cannot uninstall single products. You need to uninstall the whole suite, then reinstall it with custom options to exclude Acrobat. And of course it would be kinda smart to reinstall Acro 9 before reinstalling CS6...

  • Word, Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and PDF Maker

I am still using Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and I also have Office 2010 installed on my Windows 7 laptop. Is there a way to get PDF Maker to work in Office? Right now when I open Word for example the PDF tab does not appear anywhere. I tried running the repair feature in Acrobat but nothing has changed.
I believe Office needs to be installed first then Acrobat so PDF Maker can be installed. I did this intially when I had Office 2007 but then I unintalled it and installed Office 2010 and I'm guessing that is why things aren't working. Am I going to need to reinstall Acrobat 9 Pro Extended?

Acrobat 9.x is not compatible with MS Office 2010

  • Acrobat XI Pro and MS Word 2010 file conversion issues

I have created a photo journal comprised primarily of photo collages and text boxes using Microsoft Word 2010.  Acrobat XI Pro is installed as well.  When I "Save as Adobe PDF" the resulting PDF is missing many - not all - of the text boxes placed on top of the photos, and the some of the photos themselves are "reordered" - the one placed on top moves to the back.  What might be causing this?
If I select "Save As" and then select the "PDF" option from Word's dropdown menu, the resulting PDF - which is much smaller than the one created by the "Save the Adobe PDF" option - retains all the data in the Word file, in the correct order.
Note - this did not happen when I was using Acrobat X Pro.  And this  file I am currently working with converted perfectly to an Adobe PDF when I was still using Acrobat X Pro.

    Hi,
Can you please share your test file because the issue you mention here seems to be file specific?

  • I have CS6 downloaded and paid for. However my Adobe Acrobat X Pro will NOT download! PLEASE HELP

I went through and did the download process and it only downloaded half of my Creative Suite 6. I REALLY need Acrobat X Pro for a project!!!

You need to install the Suite software thru the Suite itself.  If you only get a partial download of the Suite then try again.  Make sure you have cookies enabled and clear your cache.  If it continues to fail try using a different browser.
    CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html
You can also download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro setup media

I have just signed in to licensing.adobe.com to download Acrobat 9 Pro setup. It is not available for download.
In my account, I see the serial numbers for all Acrobat versions (7, 9, and 10) that I have purchased. However, only Acrobat 10 Pro is available for download.
I lost the setup media. I have reformatted my PC and reinstalled Windows OS. I need Acrobat 9 Pro setup. How do I get it? Anyone?

Thanks for the quick reply. I've been to that site. The top of the page says:
Be aware the installation files on this page are for retail licenses of Acrobat 9 and 8 Professional. If you have a volume license for Acrobat 9 or 8 Professional, then visit https://licensing.adobe.com/.
I have volume license for Acrobat 9 Pro and 10 Pro. Are you saying I can use my volume license with the above setup?
    UPDATE:
I downloaded Acrobat 9 Pro and ran the EXE. I get this after entering my serial number:
Invalid Serial Number. This is not a valid serial number.
Please go back and re-enter your serial number.
So the information on the site is accurate. I need Acrobat 9 Pro setup for my volume license. How do I get this?

  • CC for Teams Acrobat XI Pro asks for licence number

Hi! Please help me, I'm getting desperate!
I have a valid Creative Cloud for Teams account. Still my Acrobat XI Pro now claims that my evaluation period is over, and asks for my licence number. Quite annoying! I have tried most advices here in the forums:
    - Reinstalled Acrobat.
    - Updated Acrobat to latest version.
    - Signed out from an other CC application, signed in again from Acrobat.
...but the problem returns every time. By the way, CC was installed on a clean Win 7 installation, so there should be no traces from earlier versions of Adobe software.
I have read many forum messages on this subject, so Adobe should address this problem immediately. We are not getting what we are paying for, as long as applications in CC don't work.
    H. Kleppe

There are some different procedures for installation of Acrobat under CC and I am not really familiar with them. Several folks have been asking recently. It is probably best to ask in the CC forum.

  • CC member with full access to Acrobat XI pro, do I still need to re-invest to buy the upgrades?

It is all in the box above but basically I want a contact form with radio/date/text etc and muse does not do all that. If I use FormsCentral do I also have to pay extra to get my responses? I am expecting 100/200 responses / month and would probably need FormsCentralPlus but as CC member already have Acrobat XI pro, or am i missing something here. Help would be appreciated.

The trial can only be loaded 1 time as far as I know. You could try http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder, and reboot. Then try an install again, but my guess is you will have to purchase Acrobat at this point.

  • Acrobat  X Pro- Need Help with Linking and creating a flyout window in PDF

I'm trying to create a flyout window in a PDF document (Have Acrobat X-Pro) I'm not a programmer or graphics designer. Almost like a flyout or callout in a Powerpoint presentation.
Basically I want to create multiple icon/s on the base PDF page drawing and have several links to other pictures or items that when opened, wouldn't take up the whole screen and can then be closed so you'd only be looking at the base PDF page.
I've tried using the link tool, but only seems to let me create a small rectangle box, click on it and have a new pdf or other file window open up. This is ok, but not really what I need it to do. I want this new window (or even a flyout) to be smaller so it doesn't cover the original base PDF layer and still be able to be closed.
    - Anyone have directions on how to do that in a pdf?
    - Also, is there a way to create a custom link icon instead of that lame rectangle in the link tool?

Yes, you can do something like that. What you would do is create a button for each image and then hide them. When I do this type of thing I place all of the buttons on a template page and then hide the template.
You can then use JavaScript to copy the icon from any of the hidden buttons to the main button that you've set up to display the image. For example, suppose you set up 10 buttons named b1, b2, b3, ...b10. The code to copy the icon from one of them to the button used to display the image (b0) would be something like this:
// Get the icon from the b3 button
    var oIcon = getField("b3").buttonGetIcon();
// Get  reference to the b0 button
    var f = getField("b0");
// Set the icon of the b0 button to the icon retrieved from the hidden button
    f.buttonSetIcon(oIcon);
    // Show the b0 button
    f.display = display.visible;
This code would go in the Mouse Up event of the smaller button.

  • Acrobat X Pro, continues to need re-installed every 30 days, with a 4 year subscription.

I'm really, really tired of having to re-install this program every 30 days when I purchased a 4 year subscription.  The first time this happened on a weekend, I missed turning in assignments and then had to reinstall my entire CS6 (per adobe help suggestion) to get it to work.  That takes 8 hours, if I'm lucky.   I have found a way to do it faster, but this is the 6th time having to reinstall it and I'm tired of this glitch in the program.  I have also be made aware it isn't just happening to me.  I want to get this fixed.  This suite wasn't cheap, and the continuous headache this problem keeps creating isn't something I can overlook any more.  I need action Adobe.  So please fix this problem with your Acrobat X Pro program, because your customers aren't happy with it.  Some are so feed up they purchased another program to do it's job.

I have a PC.  I’m running windows 8  64 bit, but this problem occurred on Windows Vista as well.  There are no error codes it just won’t open.  You can use the program that morning to convert or combine files into a pdf. then 2 hours later you go to repeat the process and nothing.  The icon for it will appear on your desktop for 5 sec. and then disappear.   That’s it nothing else happens.  The same results will occur no matter how you try to open the program, restart your computer, or check for updates.
The only way to make the program work is to uninstall and reinstall it.  The first time this occurred the adobe rep told me to reinstall the whole suite.  It took 8 hours.  I have now found were I stored the suites setup files to reinstall the individual application verses the entire suite, but it is still annoying to have to re install it ever 30 days or so.  When I do re-install it all the serial numbers are in place and it says I have 36,XXX days left in my trail.
I don’t know what else you would want, but this is all I can give you because that’s what happens.  I’m currently taking online classes and we are all required to have this exact same suite and I know at least 2 other students who have mentioned this requiring problem.  One was so tired of it the purchased a different program to do it’s job.

  • Moving adobe acrobat x pro to larger drive D (off ssd2 drive C) - what are the steps needed

I have Win7, only 4 GB left on my SSD drive C and a large regular drive D. My programs are on drive C (which includes Master CS6 and Adobe acrobat X Pro) and documents/pictures are on drive D and I still need to clear out room on drive C. Before I buy a larger drive C SSD, can I :
Move Adobe Acrobat X Pro program to drive D by uninstalling on drive C and reinstalling it on Drive D?
Do I need to move the program CS6 Master collection to the same drive that adobe Acrobat X Pro exists?
Does Adobe Acrobat X Pro need me to move any other programs from C to D in order to work - if uninstall on drive C and reinstall on drive D doesn't take care of all supporting files?
if I am able to move Acrobat X Pro to drive D, will my documents know the path or is there a way to make sure that everything reroutes to drive D?
Will Acrobat X Pro updates find the program if it is on drive D, or is there something to direct updates to the new location, if I am able to move X Pro to drive D?
I need step by step examples, even though I know web design and xhtml/css/php/js coding, hardware and this kind of cleaning up intimidates me.
    Any help is appreciated, thanks!

You can sometimes move software by uninstalling and reinstalling. However ON NO ACCOUNT uninstall Acrobat that is part of Creative Suite, because it is a devil of a job to reinstall. Use only Creative Suite installer; not sure if it can install to another disk.
If the software is installed to another location it should just work with nothing to fix.
But the savings may be much smaller than you think. Only a little of the disk space used is in the selected disk. Some is in Common Files, which doesn't move, and much more is in the Windows Installer Database, which doesn't move.
I would look for other savings than moving software.
