Still no BT Infinity, When???

Hey,
I'm new to this forum but not so new to posting in forums. I thought I'd try and see whats happening or going on and maybe see if any BT guys answer as I still cannot get BT Infinity even though my exchange has been enabled since the end of March. I've found that you can't trust what the map says as the individual cabinets need to be enabled one by one but this is getting silly now.
I had BT Infinity last year when I lived at my old place in a part of West Sussex and had a great speed given how far away from the exchange I was and thought with the place I was moving to in East Sussex for university I shouldn't have any problems getting it right? Wrong! I moved to a bigger town only to find I couldn't get it and had to wait so checked the good old map and it said March 30th so waited and called up after then only to find out nope still not available. Checked the area using the Open Reach site thats recently been put up and it says the exchange is definiately enabled but individual cabinets are still in the process of getting done.
To be quite honest I think I've been patient enough and am getting a little sick and tired of waiting now. What makes it worse is I'm quite near to town so get a fairly decent broadband speed anyway and it was a brand new line installed straight from the telephone post, but my ping often goes sky high when playing games and when doing so both me and my partner can't be on games at the same time (she likes COD on Xbox) as it lags so much and this is on a 15mb connection. BT engineers have been out but no joy, they say there is nothing wrong, however there must be something up because when I go to make a call the internet cuts off which isn't supposed to happen!
From my perspective Open Reach are slow and take their sweet time getting things done! No wonder more and more people are having their dates set back for installation etc... I just wish the government would hurry up and put an order through to force BT/Open Reach to get these things done by a certain deadline or they get fined because its too slow and I think I speak for myself and a lot of other BT customers!
After having this good old rant brings me to my question, When?? When do we get BT Infinity in Hastings of East Sussex?? Why are things taking so long??
{Frustrated BT Customer}

Yeah thanks for the help there. I'm fully aware of the information available and have read all the details on how its not as straight forward for the guys but since my road is not that far from the the exchange (but not too close either) I would of thought they would have got it sorted by now. I will grant them their dues the road I live on is a busy one and I think in terms of my cabinet it is a bit of a tough one but then that is what they are supposed to be used to and not being rude and no disrespect to those guys but all this kind of project planning etc is supposed to be done in advance I would of thought?
I already spoke to a couple of engineers I spotted doing some work just across the road and they did say they are very close to getting it done but that was 4 weeks ago and I've not seen them since plus I think they have the priority a bit wrong on where they are activating first. This I feel from my point of view is how it should be done but i'm guessing is not always the case.
As I'm already one year done on my university course and have my 2nd year project coming up in a few months time to start I really need high speed access. I just think they are taking a tad too long for my liking and I have been extremely patient given its been nearly a year since I moved to Hastings.
Again thanks for the links and all that but unfortunately the BT Wholesale information is not telling me a whole lot at the moment.
