Still No E-Mail about getting LP updates to work on my Apple TV

OK, so how long do I have to wait to get an email from Apple with this alleged link I keep reading about to upgrade the LP content? I had previously purchased three LPs from iTunes (Muse: The Resistance, Pearl Jam: Backspacer, are two LPs I bought in the past month, for example). I still have not gotten any email from Apple saying I can get this new LP content. I AM getting other iTunes emails; as I purchase content, I do get my invoices, and the get almost daily iTunes news - so I know the email is working. But I want to know where that email is regarding LP content? It seems strange others are getting notified. When I am in iTunes, I go to STORE> Check For Available Downloads, and NOTHING comes up. Anyone have any ideas, or know who I should contact for this problem? I am up to date on all my software, did the 3.01 update to Apple TV and the 9.02 update in iTunes.

Is anyone else still waiting for their email alerting them of a previously purchased iTunes LP update for Apple TV? I get other emails from iTunes (including the "please update to Apple TV 3.0.1" email), but not this one. It's been over a month now and I'm still waiting...

Do a backup.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Getting Software Update to work?

Hi guys,
We're looking into trying to get Software Update to work on our Xserve.
The network team have put the IP address into their Inty client to allow us direct access to the net.
Problem is that when I start up the service and click update list nothing happens even tho it's downloaded some updates perviously (So confused.com)
Looking back through the logs to see what the **** has gone wrong I found this under each log:

Can someone please offer some advice on what I need to do to get this service working. As it would be handy to get the Mac's to communicate with the xserve rather than going to the net or sending the updates to the Mac's and not logging on each one at a time

Anyone Get Live Update to Work on Win XP 64 Bit?

The following happened when I installed MIS Live Update from both the MB's cd and the latest version of Live Update (v 3) downloaded from the MSI website.
Installed Liveupdate. Installation went fine.
Said to restart comp. Restarted comp.
Windows booted. Got error message "The service was not started".
Computer restarted with no input from me.
Windows booted and got same error message.
Comp restarted again.
This infinite restart loop continued.
Pressed F8. Went to Safe Mode. Uninstalled LIveupdate from Add/Remove Programs in CP.
Restarted.
Comp back to normal but no Live Update (as expected).
Anyone else see this and/ or get Live Update to work with XP 64 bit edition?

Yes you are right. The system drive will always be Drive C, but I am not sure if D will be my storage drive or the other sytem drive. I could always try and find out but just havn't.
In the past, I had lots of virtual drives (partitions), and HDD's (as many as 10 total IDE devices). But when the larger drives became more affordable, I prefer running with just 2, the system and storage for the sake of simplicity. Since I do beta testing, I have having to reformat and reinstall a lot, so this system has worked great for me.

i have been having problems getting Software up dat to work. I have reinstalled the OS which is OS10.5 i Am connected to the internet. and have tried everything that i can think of to get it to work but it keeps coming up with this error msg: Software Update can’t connect to the update server. Make sure you’re connected to the Internet, then try again. Software Update can't check for updates because of a network problem. can anyone solve this problem? its making me crazy. On another issue, i have a magic mouse that used to work perfectly, ever since i reinstalled the OS the scrolling and other finger gestures dont work. I searched all over the place for a soft ware download with the proper Magic Mouse drivers and have come up empty handed. anyone know of a link? I type in my apple id and password to no avail.
Why isn't the apple tv device taking this info and activating home share?

I am having the same problems with Home Sharing using the Apple TV. The problems seemed to appears to have started within the last week or so. Did updates and all. Went to the Apple TV and it couldn't see either Home Share on either computers that Home Share is turned ON. Reset the routers, reinstalled iTunes on the iMac and MacBookPro. Created a second Wi-Fi Access point using a Airport Express. Put the MacBookPro and TimeCapsule on the same network and still no love to see the Home Share contents.
We have had both Mac's and Apple TV for several years and have never had any problems like this.

Installed Flash, still says I need to get newest update

Using Windows XP with Opera and Windowx Vista with Firefox.
Okay, I was trying to watch a video on Tumblr, but it promts to download the newest Flash. Do so on both firefox and opera. It still says it requires newest Flash. Java is enabled in both browsers. Get a hint that java needs updating too, so we do that. Still nothing. Try to empty history and such on browsers, still nothing. I un-install and re-install Java, it still wont show videos!
Then I restart the computer, but it didn't help either.
Adobe Flash site claims I have the newest version, and youtube works fine. What are we gonna do? It's really annoying and hopeless. I've had this trouble before on older computers and it's getting kinda tiresome to always have such a fuss with flash/java updates.

Hi, That was a very nice explanation and complete What I would do first is go to Tumbir and see if you can find any system requirement or help info. When you say that it says you need Flash 10, does it have any more info than that? Does it have any other digits? We had 10.0 etc and now it is 10.1. Maybe they don't support vs 10.1.102.64.
I think you are correct in assuming it may be the site that is causing issues, but it could be the above or Shockwave Player is needed. If you have a Twitter account you could see what those requirements are, or if you have a friend that could check.
Clearly Flash Player is working fine with your browsers and youtube, so there is no issue there.
I use IE6 and youtube works fine:-) I think I have less problems with IE6 as far as being able to view whatever I want, even the BBC:-)
I would leave Flash Player exactly as it is......working!!

UI not getting change update when working with LIST and INotifyPropertyChanged

i was trying to know two way data binding. i have simple car class which extend INotifyPropertyChanged for notify the change to update UI. bind List object to few textboxes and notice when one textbox value change then other textbox value not updated. all
textboxes bind to same property. so one's value change should propagate to other textboxes.

I would have thought that'd work with List<t>, in fact I think there must be something wrong in your code there. I can't spot it though.
I recommend use of ObservableCollection rather than BindingList.
The default on bindings is that changes are propagated from the target ( view ) to source ( vm ) when the control loses focus.
If you want to do the equivalent to a keydown event handler in a viewmodel then onpropertychanged is the way to go.
You want to avoid creating bindings in code unless you really really have to, it's way easier to put them in xaml.
Even if your ui is dynamic, you can build xaml and use that to create the ui objects:

What probably isn't very obvious is that BindingList fires an event - iirc itemchanged when properties on objects in it change.
Maybe you did something wrong in your implementation of inotifypropertychanged. I must admit, I can't see anything there though.
You don't really need those magic strings since .net4.5 and you also don't need to explicitly implement inotifypropertychanged you could use:

Most wpf devs will use observablecollection rather than List or bindinglist.
Observablecollection notifies addition or removal of entries. It can be used to notify an entry has changed, but does not detect change of property. You would have to raise the event in code if you want to tell it an item changed.

10.4.11 is the final version of the now obsolete Tiger, which is no longer supported by Apple.
There will be no further updates.

I cannot get my update to work at all . The firefox app icon and arrow pointing to the Applications file appears on my desktop again and again. I keep putting in the folder but it refuses to work. I have Mac OSX 10.6.8

I downloaded the update file and moved in to the Applications folder as asked , it is there as an alias . There is a new icon on my desktop . I cannot move to the dock however . How can i get the update to work?

When I try to update iTunes, it asks me to restart my computer, so i do, and then nothing changes when it does restart.

I have tried changing the volume both by using the volume buttons on the side and through settings. I have updated all the apps. Closed and reopened a million times hoping it was just a one time deal but I have had continuous problems since the update on my ipad.
I love the update on my iphone but for some reason the ipad did not adjust well. I really would like to get it fixed because I love my ipad but there is no use when the apps an volume do not work.

Make sure you setup smpatch to go to sunsolve and use your sunsolve userID and pass correctly as with solaris 10 not all patches all accessable to the world with out a support account.
