Still no luck w/ PC
I have been trying to do any sort of video or one way video or audio with some PC friends and cant get any head way. I can chat with them regularly. When I go to the mac video tester everything works fine. When I go to one of the PC video testers, I invite them and then they accept and then I get an error saything that I did not respond. How can that happen when I am the one initiating the whole thing?
I am using a netgear router and am not a pro with settings but have changed some in the past.

If we are talking about someone else they need to be running an AIM client that can video (even if they don't have a camera) and do the tuning as if they did and open ports as required in the XP firewall and Modem/router

I installed Adobe dlm add-on and now Firefox will not open. I see the process starting in Task Manager but no window opens. Unistalled Firefox then re-installed but still no luck. HELP ME! I do not want to use IE! I presume it has something to do with Adobe DLM as ever since then it is not working.I had this problem for a couple weeks as well and it was extremely frustrating considering we use firefox for all our company tasks. Here is the solution:
First of all if you have no bookmarks you want to save, then go directly to step 7. If you want to save your bookmarks first, then follow these steps.
1. Shut down the computer
2. Reboot and open firefox
3. Go to Task Manager, right click firefox.exe, and click END PROCESS TREE
4. WAIT 30 SECONDS! Then Double-click the shortcut to try and open firefox again
5.Repeat steps 3 and 4 until firefox finally opens (trust me, eventually it will)
6. Once it finally opens, backup your bookmarks,
7. Download a copy of firefox from there website
8. Uninstall from programs menu and make sure to check the box REMOVE ALL COMPONENTS
9. install the new copy and BOOM! it works
If it doesn't work, you're an idiot. If you don't want to reinstall firefox, then you're out of luck. Good Luck! -
I tried to download the upgrade, now it won't install and I can not access my documents. It said Vi did not have enough space for the upgrade so I made room but still no luck. If I delete the ap and reinstall I will lose my stuff. Any ideas? It won't open so I can email it to myself.
What upgrade are you trying to install? Your profile shows iOS 5.1.1, which is the current max iOS.

After updating my system to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 I can no longer view videos on Facebook or other sites. The only one I can view videos on is youtube. I have downloaded Adobe Flash player and still no luck. I cannot even open Preview on my computer anymore. Any ideas would be helpful thanks
Merely clicking the Preview icon in the Dock doesn't cause it to open anything, unless you had one or more windows open the last time it quit.
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.
1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, triple-click the line below to select it:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. My new ipod touch is not recognised in itunes or Windows 7 on any of my computers/laptops. I've followed the online advice and still no luck. Help much appreciated!

Version 11.1.5.5 of iTunes was just released today. If you update to that, does that help with the recognition troubles?

Check your System Profiler to see if your computer is recognizing them. You may need to reset the computers SMC.

I cannot bring up iTunes as it keeps saying, "the files 'itunes library.itl' cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes". I have reinstalled itunes, and still no luck. HELP!!!!
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

What IOS and OS are you using Elissa. I think from your post it used to work but has dropped off, is that correct or has it never worked? If it did wotk has anything changed? Check your wifi use with sopmething like istumbler to see if it is being used by neighbours etc?

Ipod Touch can't find Bluetooth device. (Jam Box)
Upgraded Itunes software did a backup and restore on the Ipod.
My PC sees Jam Box fine. IPod used to work with JamBox. Reset Jambox, no luck.
Followed every instruction from the forums. Still no luck.

I recieved a gotality heart monitor accessory and my iPhone doesn't read the accessory when attached to phone. The accessory works on my friends iPhone 4, so the accessory works. I restored my phone and cleaned out the 30 pin jack and still no luck. Any suggestion without going to the apple store. Thanks.
A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.

after downloading iphone pictures to desktop, itunes won't open. I downloaded itunes 10.6 (64bit) but get "Do you want the following program to make changes to your computer?" Apple Inc. I've clicked "yes", restarted the computer, and still no luck.
I also have the same problem, but the Software Updates tool doesn't recognise that Quicktime is out of date. Have you tried downloading Quicktime 7.7 Leopard from http://support.apple.com/downloads/#quicktime as this worked for me...?

I am trying to set up my new iPad 2 and to begin I installed iTunes on my laptop and connected the iPad to the USB port. Neither Windows or iTunes recognizes the device. I did everything this site told me to try and still no luck. Help!
You will not be able to see what version you are running until the iPad is activated. It will be in Settings>General>About >Version when you can get to the settings app.
The slider bar that you are describing sounds like the screen lock side switch and that has no bearing on setting up the iPad or connecting to WiFi.
Why don't you try rebooting your router? Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again and see if the iPad will recognize and join the network.
