Still no Tunisia Map :(

Hi, we're on end of 2011 and still no map of Tunisia. i'm a fervent adept of Nokia (yeah looks like sectary stuff ), i live in Tunisia and i'm offended about not having any map for my country.
once, Nokia Maps saved my life (and my wife's too) during a trip in Marrakech (Morocco), so i'm grateful but, i've found on discussions that Nokia said "Tunisia is classified as non navigable" which is not true: Google Maps is the answer and Weenee ( a Navigation device sold by Tunisiana and NGI-Maghreb) is very complete.
Please Nokia, make it available in Tunisia.

I agree 100%. Ok, the AppleTV has a fair amount of bugs that need to get worked out, but they can't juggle more than one ball in the air at a time? The ATV development team must be made up of two kids from Cupertino Junior High, because updates are SLOOOW in coming, and they are uninspired. Heck, it took the iPhone development team to come up with the best app for AppleTV in a while, the remote application.
The current screensavers for AppleTV are just so elemental and lame. That this thing doesn't have some half way decent screensavers or iTunes-like visualizers is a joke. And yes, I have sent in my feedback form numerous times to no avail.
Let's face it, AppleTV is the second most neglected stepchild of the Apple hardware lineup, just ahead of the Cinema displays.

Tunisia is classed as non-navigable so won't appear in OVI Maps:

Disk Utility - Still 'Modifying Partition Map'

I had a 64gb windows partition on my newest revision MacBook Pro, and I didn't really need windows anymore, so I wanted to resize it to 32gb.
I still want to keep windows for LANparties (games), so I decided to remove Windows, shrink the partition, and reinstall it...
Easily said, I removed the partition in Disk Utility, then I added a partition (just HFS for now), and resized everything the way I wanted it..
But now the Disk Utility has been 'Modifying Partition Map' for the last 2,5 hours, and I dare not interrupt it, so I set all the energy settings and sleep stuff to 'Never', because it might kill something :P
Any advice? Is it normal that it takes this long, or am I screwed (I do have a time machine backup).

Okay, I understand that I can't create one for Windows using Disk Utility, but I think it's a bit stupid that now my partition / HDD might be broken ..
Maybe a warning or something? I didn't even think of the fact that Bootcamp could also delete partitions...
So I will now boot the install DVD and try to repair, I have a full Time Machine backup, so I'm glad I did that ..
thanks for the advice, but I think this should be noted as a bug, as I think Disk Utility should not 'break' my partition map if I use it to delete a non-HFS partition..

British Keyboard selected, still got US mapping

Hi, I've got a Mac mini running 10.5. I've tried a couple of keyboards, one USB and another Bluetooth, each time setting it up with the wizard (pressing the key to the right of the left shift key, etc), then also setting the international settings to use the British keyboard such that there's a small british flag at the top of the screen. I also tried adding the key mapping from the following link:

though it doesn't seem to work on 10.5 as the option to select 'British 2' never becomes available.
Even with all these settings, reboots later and whatnot, I still have the @ and " keys swapped, as though the machine was still using a US layout.

HT201272 Dowloading past purchases from iTunes doesn't work in România and still no movies, maps and more..

If u buy something from iTunes like a song or 100 songs and u lose them, let's say u're phone was replaced by waranty. U can see that u purchased songs but u cannot redownload them, not in România i guess ..at least u can redownload apps

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of all of your content.
If you fail to do this, then it is your own fault that you lose your content.

New version of OVI suite again.
Still fails contacting maps server.
Doesn't even seem to try communicating (no activity on network).
Anyone found anything on this?

1)It’s good to check whether you can start Maps on device or not. If not then perhaps maps data has corrupted and them should be deleted by hand if device doesn’t prefer it by itself. There is guide in NOS help to do that. Basically the help advices user to delete qf-file and cities-folder from device’s memory card or mass memory.
2)Memory might be write protected.
3)If device has both mass memory and memory card then device and NOS should use same memories.
4)If Maps is open on device then NOS may not find correct memory but it can find wrong one in case of multi memory devices. If there is only one maps memory then other error page is shown.
5)Maps on device defines percent of memory how much Maps can use memory. Sometimes an error is shown in these if there is no more space for maps.
Please check these and hopefully it works out for you..

I have an E71, (0569371, Ver 100.07.76, Rm 357), that has Maps 2. I have read on this discussion board that Nokia updates the maps data approximately 4 times per year. As maps 2 is older than maps 3, does anyone know whether Nokia still regularly updates Maps 2.? Their doing so would allow me to keep Maps 2 but stil have it current. Thanks in advance.

Mapping(type routine) missing in transformation 2lis_03_bf - BCT 703, 704

i am on 703 BI content, than when i activated the 0ic_c03 infocube I observed that in transformation 2lis_03_bf mapping is missing, target field should is not mapped with source field, in earlier version of bi content target fields is gettinc caluclated by some routine and secondly start routine of 2lis_03_bf have syntax error, same with 2lis_03_bx and um transformation.
so we upgraded to BI conetent 704 with patch 0001 than i reactivated the 0ic_c03 cube but though problem is same.
so, we are now planning to upgrade support patch 0003 for BI content 704, will support patch 0003 for BI content 704 solve the problem or anyother thing required to do with current status of BI conetent 704 with patch 0001 to solve this issue?

we applied the 0003 support pack/patch for the BI content 704 from patch 0001 of BI content 704,
now start routine error of 2lis_03_bf is gone, transformation is comin as active verson once we do reactivation of object from BI content,
But still missing the mapping rules in transformation.
note 1179880 is saying that Import Support Package 3 into your system. is that mean patch 0003 for BI content 704?

WP8 Map control with custom tiles

I'm trying to display a map control in my app targeting Windows Phone 8 but I want to use custom tiles from open street map.
I'm using this line :
mapControl.TileSources.Add(new TileSource("http://a.tile.openstreetmap.org/{zoomLevel}/{x}/{y}.png"));
When I launch the app the custom tiles are properly displayed, but there's still the default map tiles underneath them.
I tried to hide them, but I counld'nt even find where they exist in the map control and what is displaying them exactly.
I would like to know how I can remove those default tiles when loading custom tiles.

IWeb Google Maps and Photo Gallery Question

I have a Website I started to create a while back. Is there a way to insert a google map and some type of photo gallery
into my site, now that MobileMe is gone??? I really liked the simplicity of iWeb. Is there anything else out there?

You can still insert Google maps into your site - you just need to do it as you did before the Google maps widget arrived.
Go to Google maps and create the map you want and then copy and paste the code and place it in an ordinary html snippet and then click on Apply and the map will appear.
Also, another tip - you could have found all the answers that you were looking for before even posting your question by searching this forum and there have been literally hundreds of posts on the same topics of Google maps and slide shows.
Suggest you search the forum and look for posts by Old Toad and Roddy, who have found alternatives.
You don't need to stop using iWeb - if you have it use it, but just upload to another host/server.
There are plenty of alternative out there - again a forum search would have given you answers.
Take a look at RapidWeaver, Sandvox, Freeway Pro/Express and Flux 4. You can download free trials of all of these and most are available for purcahse from the Mac App Store.

Import Mapping...

Still with Java Mapping...
After creating the Java Mapping I've imported it and tested, but although the test gives me:
"Messages:18:52:52 Start of test
Executed successfully
18:52:52 End of test"
, I'm not getting any on the side of the RFC...meaning, I'm not getting the xml file.
I've tested the JAVA class and I generate correctly the xml output.
Despite the fact that I wasn't getting anything on the side of the RFC, I've tested the whole scenario and I get an error on message monitoring.
" Exception caught by adapter framework: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: could not get functionname from XML requst: com.sap.aii.af.rfc.RfcAdapterException: failed to read funtionname from XML document: missing namespace declara"
I've checked if there is any namespace missing but the namespace is correct... What am I missing...?

Creating a message mapping from the message to the RFC and compare it to the xml generated from my JAVA mapping?
I've done that and the two xml are identicals...
When I test the java mapping should i get the xml result on the side of the target (rfc)?

How to restrict pan area in oracle map viewer?

I have added map to Jpanel,Now I want to restirct panning functionality of map to a defined area.Because when I keep on panning to extreme East or West side even when my map boudaries are panned completely,I can still drag the map and So,after some point my map is lost completely(or its panned completely to extreme right or left) and I can see only white screen on my Jpanel.
Please can anyone suggest me an API or any alternative solution to achieve this.

using oraclemaps javascript API you can use mapview.enableMapBoundConstraint(true); Your map will be bound the the tilelayers boundingbox...

Mapping Drives using a PIX501 and vpn client

We have a 501 and are using cisco vpn client. We have a Windows 2000 and a windows 2003 server on the network we are connecting to. We use windows authentication when we logon the vpn. We are mapping drives on both servers onto the client. The mapped drives on the 2000 server are visable to the client. The mapped drives on the 2003 server are not even when we try to remap. We have Routing and Remote Access enabled on the 2003 server but still fail to map the drives (or ping the 2003 server). Can anyone out there shed any light on our problem. Thanks

Reset Maps in OSX Mavericks

I used Maps in China. Now I'm not in China.
But still I see Maps in Chinese characters and if I type into the search field say Pasadena.
I get
"No results"
How can I get Map to search globally?

Help with multi-table mapping for one-to-many object inheritance

I have posted on here before regarding this (Toplink mapping for one-to-many object inheritance but I am still having problems mapping my object model to my schema.
Object model
The Person and Organisation objects contain base information and have the primary keys person_id and organisation_id. It is important that there is no duplication of person and organisation records, no matter how many times they are saved in different roles.
There are two types of licenceholder in the problem domain, and the ILicenceHolder interface defines information and methods that are common to both. The PersonalLicenceHolder object represents one of these types of licenceholder, and is always a person, so this class extends Person and implements ILicenceHolder.
The additional information and methods that are required by the second type of licenceholder are defined in the interface IPremisesLicenceHolder, which extends ILicenceHolder. Premises licence holders can either be people or organisations, so I have two objects to represent these - PremisesLicenceHolderPerson which implements IPremisesLicenceHolder and extends Person, and PremisesLicenceHolderOrganisation which implements IPremisesLicenceHolder and extends Organisation.
The model is further complicated by the fact that any single Person may be both a PersonalLicenceHolder and a PremisesLicenceHolderPerson, and may be so several times over. In this case, the same basic Person information needs to be linked to several different sets of licenceholder information. In the same way, any single Organisation may be a PremisesLicenceHolderOrganisation several times over.

Schema
I have Person and Organisation tables containing the basic information with the primary keys person_id and organisation_id.
I have tried to follow Donald Smith's advice and have created a Role table to record the specialised information for the different types of licence holder. I want the foreign keys in this table to be licenceholder_id and licence_id. Licenceholder_id will reference either organisation_id or person_id, and licence_id will reference the primary key of the Licence table to link the licenceholder to the licence. Because I am struggling with the mapping, I have changed licenceholder_id to person_id in an attempt to get it working with the Person object before I try the Organisation.
Then, when a new licenceholder is added, if the person/organisation is already in the database, a new record is created in the Role table linking the existing person/organisation to the existing licence rather than duplicating the person/organisation information.
Mapping
I am trying to use the toplink mapping workbench to map my PremisesLicenceHolderPerson object to my schema. I have mapped all inherited attributes to superclass (Person). The primary table that the attributes are mapped to is Person, and I have used the multi-table info tab to add Roles as an additional table and map the remaining attributes to that.
I have created the references PERSON_ROLES which maps person.person_id to roles.person_id, ROLES_PERSON which maps roles.person_id to person.person_id and ROLES_LICENCE which maps roles.licence_id to licence.licence_id.
I think I have put in all the relationships, but I cannot get rid of the error message "The following primary key fields are unmapped: PERSON_ID".
Please can somebody tell me how to map this properly?

I'm not positive about your mappings, but it looks like the Person object should really have a 1:M or M:M mapping to the Licenceholder table. This then means that your object model should be similar, in that Person object could have many Licenses, instead of being LicenceHolders. From the looks of it, you have it set up from the LicenceHolder perspective. What could be done instead if a LicenceHolder could have a 1:1 reference to a person data object, rather than actually be a Person. This would allow the person data to be easily shared among licences.
LicenceHolder1 has an entry in the LicenceHolder table and Person table. LicenceHolder2 also has entries in these tables, but uses the same entry in the Person table- essentially it is the same person/person_ID. If both are new objects, TopLink would try to insert the same person object into the Person table twice. I'm not sure how you have gotten around or are planning to get around this problem.
Since you are using inheritance, it means that LicenceHolder needs a writable mapping to the person.person_id field- most commonly done through a direct to field mapping. From the description, it looks like roles.person_id is a foreign key in the multiple table mapping, meaning it would be set based on the value in the person.person_id field, but the person.person_id isn't actually mapped in the object. Check to make sure that the ID attribute LicenceHolder is inheriting from person hasn't been remapped in the LicenceHolder descriptor to a different field.
