Still testing LP8, still finding strange results

I'd just like to point out that this isn't a rant and I'm a working composer who's been happily using Logic since the Stone Age.
I'm running a G5 Quad under OS X 10.4.11 and an Apogee Duet. I also have a Motu 828mkii, which I only use for bigger recording sessions, I have not created an Aggregated Device.
1.As recommended by many I've completely rebuilt my environment for Logic 8. I STILL can't get sends to function properly - I've got a loop going, I insert a send, up pops my send destination as expected (great new feature), I select a Platinum verb/Space designer/IR-1 and 8 times out of ten nothing happens - no reverb sound, no modulation even. It's infuriating. Anyone else heard of this ? Found a solution ?
2.Sometimes without warning the audio stops working - Logic doesn't crash, playback doesn't stop, the ppms continue to flash and so on...just no sound.
Again not very helpful all this.
3.Fortunately I still have Logic 7 installed and I'll continue working with this until these problems get ironed out.

Something's definitely running amuck...
I've not only never experienced that particular problem, but in 5 or 6 years of participating in Logic forums, I've never read about it either.
First obvious thing to do would be to trash preferences. Have you tired that? Beyond that, perhaps a re-install is in order.

Have you given your information to anyone?   Family, friend?
Did you have another device with Game Center on it?   Did you give a new owner of a device any passwords?
Do you share apple account with a family member?
Do you have a rescue email set up in your Apple account, with security questions?
I suggest you set up a new email account, write everything down and keep it in a safe place.
New email account and password. Not so easy that it can be hacked.
In your iTunes account on the computer. Login and change security questions, password and rescue email.
Again, make sure your password is not easy to guess.   Same with security questions.
Write it all down and keep it somewhere safe.
I recommend a password keeper called Enpass.   You can store 10 cards with user names, passwords, notes and account numbers in the free version.
Then you only have to remember one complicated password to open Enpass and retrieve your information.
If all else fails, contact apple support.

Hide column but still have the results displayed

I am working in BEx query designer 2004s. Is it possible to hide a column but still have the results displayed? If I go to the properties of the column and check 'always hide' it hides the column but the results do not display either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the query designer, you select Hide option for the returns key figure from the context menu. Now your report will not show the returns key figure.
But have the total returns key figure in the query and you will get to see the total returns as well.

Did a clean install but still find imac slows significantly as the day goes on. first projects go pretty well. later

How much free space do you have on your drive?
From the sounds of your problem is sounds like you are approaching a full disk.

Can I still find my former passwords used in one website?

I play a game called RAN ONLINE PH , I change my password from time to time, but yesterday when I changed my password, I was brain washed and forgot about it, but what I did was save it to mozilla firefox, then I kept on guessing until my little bro clicked save password, that is why the real password was gone, can I still find the old password, because in the save passwords tab it only shows the updated ones. please help ASAP

If you have updated the password that was previously stored in the Password Manager then you would need a backup copy of the logins.json file.
You can make a backup copy of the current file and see if you can possibly restore a previous version of this file.

If you didn't enable it on your iPod before it was lost you can't. If you did, you may be able to locate it by going to icloud.com from your computer browser, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0f2442.

why do you say it's not normal.
it always switches itself on after i update. it just did again, this time for 7.1.2.. i t also will switch on after a restore.
i never use bluetooth and make sure it's not on for any other reason.
it's been noticed by others too.

But the thieves still can restore it via dfu mode right.?.even they will stuck on icloud activation when they finished restore it..when that happen can i track my device on the map when they try to activate my device ??as we know the device must be connected to internet when this procces happen.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.
If the device is wiped by you or another, you may not be able to locate the device (although some have reported they can)

How many programs do you have open while you're working in Illustrator? Do you have a lot of layers or art boards?
It could be that your computer was being slowed by too many programs, or a complex design file. The age of your computer could also be a culprit.
