I have just made 2 new bad discoveries: Logged in via the newly created Me2 account, I can not duplicate files and not re-name folders on the external data disk. So this account is almost worthless, too ... This nightmare must end !!!

HI everybody,
since the mail service is migrated to yahoo, I can't log into my e-mail because my username contains a wrong caracter (specific ".").
The problem is that ovi mail is my principal e-mail and I can't read e-mail aprox 20 days.
Do you have any ideas to solve this problem?

hi! i am trying to sign-in my yahoo account to yahoo mail using the nokia mail application. however it keeps on telling me that i entered an invalid uid abd pwd. i tried signing in using the regular way and i was able to log-in. i do have the same account for my ovi but it does the same thing too. both i use the email above...please help me with this. thanks.

How to reset your Apple ID password.
Go to iforgot.apple.com and type in your Apple ID, then click 'Next'.

Can not log into server computer with any accounts - "You are unable to login to the user account "abcdefg" at this time. Logging in to the account failed because an error occurred."

I have a Mac mini running the latest version of OS X and Server. Been running fine and flawlessly. However, I had a strange problem with the iCloud preferences panel crashing when I tried to access it, so I rebooted. Now I can not log into the system with any accounts. My master admin account (along with all the others) gives me the error:
You are unable to login to the user account "abcdefg" at this time. Logging in to the account failed because an error occurred."
I am able to see the server from other macs and I can log into it using the same account, but it only shows me a few of the shared folders I have access to but NOT to my main directories.
Rebooting into Command-R and doing a disk utility, I try and repair permission on that drive and get a bunch of errors like:
ACL found but not expected on Users
Repaired "Users"
ACL found but not expected on Users/.localized
Repaired "Users/.localized"
ACL found but not expected on Users/Shared
Repaired "Users/shared"
ACL found but not expected on Users/Shared/.localized
Repaired "Users/Shared/.localized"
Permissions repair complete.
But rebooting is no joy...same problem. Any idea what is going on or how to repair it? Should I do a time machine restore? Complete new OS X install? Any idea what is causing this or how to salvage it?

Got everything to re-install and it worked fine...for a few hours. Then I came in to find ALL of my network users deleted. Just GONE. Then found out the Open Directory was trashed and was unable to open, recover or restore from a backup. Looks like I may have a bad drive here.
I installed a new drive in the system, re-installed and so far (for a couple of hours anyway) the system seems to be working and stable.

When i get on yahoo, it opens me up under the primary account, but when i try to get on the secondary e-mail account it automatically shifts me back to the primary account. Dont have this problem in internet explorer.

Yahoo hosts my e-mail. It is under a primary e-mail address under @yahoo.com. Under that primary account, I have another e-mail address that is based on my own domain name. When I get on firefox and bring up yahoo, it opens under my yahoo.com address but it has a "logged in under" section which allows me to go to my .(my domain) address. When I click on that, my .(my domain) mail comes up for an instant and then firefox shifts me back to the .yahoo account.
This happens on my newer most recent windows computer but not on my older one and never, ever happens on internet explorer. I may have to abandon firefox for internet explorer if you cannot fix this.

Honestly, that's a pretty vague set of symptoms to provide. Could you perhaps provide a bit more? For instance...what exact sequence of steps do you perform that reaches these error messages? Details and exactness will help keep us from guessing, and guessing from vague descriptions really helps no one.

Go here and select "Reset your password." You will receive an email message with a link that bypasses the questions. You will then be able to select and answer the questions again.

Is your iTunes account address, and other payment method(s) ((if applicable) associated with Canada? They have to be to use that Store.

Are you still facing the same error ? If yes, are you getting this error everytime you are trying to export ?
Please try again and check.
This is basically a compilation error , where files are not converted into proper format correctly.

That you are getting the BONG is a good sign, it's unlikely to be hardware if you are able to hear that.
Start by running SW update. It's not that there is a specific fix, but when updating it may rewrite some system files which may get this going again purely as a side affect. Worth a go, and should not harm the system.
Try reset the PRAM - Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
Hopefully one of these quick fixes works, otherwise we'll need to try isolate the issue next - so if still having a problem, I'd try create a new user and login as that user to see if the issue persists (which will tell us if it's system wide or user specific)

Please don't tell me to adjust anything on the preferences, since I have tried all. I think it may be anoter kind of problem, maybe hardware related or anything.
I ran the Hardware repair DVD and everything was ok, but when the imac restarted the screen was very lit again, but when it went sleep, when it went awake again the screen got dimmed again. Because of that I think that the problem could be software related, but who knows. Excuse my english.

I can't see another possible answer - the longer your machine is up, the more the power supply is stressed, it protects itself by dimming the screen to lower the draw on it.
