Stills exported have artifacts
I am shooting 1080 60i which I think renders 30 fps. on a panasonic GH2...using pro res 422 codec in FCP, why are stills exporting with these line artifacts? hard to see in this image but edges show lines at movement points?

It depends. There is nothing wrong with interlaced footage, it just requires being treated accordingly.
FCP7 is not a particularly good de-interlacer, which is why I suggested removing the filter after you had exported the still frames.
Normal workflow is to edit in the format of the majority of footage you shot, export a master file of the completed sequence, then use compressor to convert to the formats and codecs you need for purpose of delivery (DVD, Blu-Ray, YouTube, etc.).
But there may be reasons to vary from this workflow. If you have a variety of source formats, there may be a reason to choose a sequence setting that is a good compromise for the different source properties.

Why do my exports have artifacts at the beginning?
I'm a bit stumped on this issue, mostly because it's very subtle and doesn't stay consistent. I export mp4 videos from Premiere CS5 at least once a week, and a lot of times (though not every time, which is odd), the video will have some digital artifacting at the very beginning and very end. It only shows up for a second or so before fading away, and then everything is fine. It's only visible after exporting - the footage in the timeline is perfectly fine. Any suggestions on what to check would be most appreciated.

Flash Quicktime Export leaves artifacts
I have a simple frame per frame based animation of graphical objects with audio. When I export it as Quicktime Movie I always get artifacts from moving objects left behind. For example a simple blue circle on white ground, leaves parts of the circle behind and parts of the background inside the circle.
I have tried every possible option (compressed as Animation, H264, uncompressed, double framerate etc.) in Flash Mac CS4 and its always the same problem. Now I thought this bug would be fixed in Mac CS5 or CS 5.5 but no, its still the same.
Anyone else having that problem?Alright so I figured out what happens. I currently work with the CS5 version of flash and when you go to export a movie using quicktime, quicktime has settings like this:
click the quick time settings button and you get this:
you may want to change the size for whatever purpose, but that's not what causes a problem. You want to click the settings option to get this:
Alright here is the technical part of the explanation: These are Quicktime's Settings, NOT Flash CS5's. If your frame rate doesn't match the frame rate for the motion part of this window you can/will have artifacts in your video in quicktime. This is NOT a bug. It makes sense that your video may have artifacts because it is glitching with the difference in frame rate. I know this is super hard to figure out what happened, but it works. All you have to do is change these settings to match your frame rate, or you can change your initial frame rate in the original animation in Flash. -
My daughter made an iMovie project using picures from her Camera Roll and then delted the pictures from her camera roll and now she can not export the project. Does anyone know of a way to still export this project?

How large is your movie? Is it possible that you could output it as a QuickTime file and then burn that as a data DVD? Is uploading to YouTube an option?

Stills exported back from Color are only 1 frame long
I think I know the answer- I'm just hoping it's not true.
Anyways. I have a 640x480 sequence of still images (tifs) set to music. I sent it to Color, and color corrected the stills. Then I rendered, and sent back to FCP. Only problem- the still images are only 1 frame long, and I can't change the duration in any way.
Where did I go wrong, first of all? Should I have exported a SCQT of each photo first, and reedited using that? I have no motion of effects on that photo.
Second of all, what's the best way of going from here. Do I need to regrade everything?
Thanks for your help.No, the stills likely have a different colour profile associated with them, which should be taken care of in FCP... but as QT, maybe not... COLOR not differentiating or loading any Photoshop-type profiling.
And, no, COLOR can't render tifs... It wants to render QT or dpx/cin.
You should have been able to create a new COLOR project with your razored SCQT and done a File... Import Color Corrections from the former project, if you had exactly the same number and order of clips in the resulting sequence. Sort of a one-click solution to saving them all one at a time and loading them one at a time...

Remember when you get a call when the phone is locked and you used to have slide to answer in iOS 6 and if you slide up you would have options to reject, reject with a message and reject with a reminder. We dont have that in iOS 7. iOS 7 *****, I cannot get back to iOS6, apple needs to be user friendly. Screen shot 1 when the phone is locked, screenshot 2 when the phone is unlocked. -

Alternatively, if the files are in a standard <Artist>\<Album>\## <Name> layout then turn off Copy to iTunes Media folder when adding to library and use my script TagFromFilename to fill in the missing information.
iTunes often has an issue handling files with multiple tags. These may be introduced by other software such as Windows Media Player, Winamp, or MediaMonkey. Files may have both ID3v1 and ID3v2.x tags, and if I read the ID3 specification correctly, there is also support for multiple ID3v2.x tags each coded for a different language. When there are multiple tags iTunes behaviour can sometimes be unpredictable. In some cases edits to the metadata can be written to one tag, and visible in Windows Explorer, but iTunes insists on reading back unchanged values from the other. In such cases you can use Convert ID3 Tag > None several times followed by Convert ID3 Tag > v2.3 and whatever iTunes knows about the file will be written back to a clean tag. Embedded artwork is erased so needs to be reattached. Using my script CreateFolderArt before and then after the tag conversions is one way to workaround that part of the problem.
Also of note is that certain pre-defined genres are represented by a code number rather than text so that they can be presented in the local system language. There is always a possibility that Windows and iTunes have slightly different values in the look-up tables for some of these.

the thing is that when i did the clean install they did check with a hardware test first and nothing was wrong, i guess it was a false-positive, is there anything in the kernel report from which i can say it's either hardware or software related

also must mention i have never had trouble that i couldn't fix on itunes but all of this has started since i have been using icloud for basic backups hope this helps solve problem

Nexus7's use the larger icons.If I add the 96x96 line to the app-xml file and do a Publish from Flash, that line is deleted from the app-xml file and the 72x72 icon is placed in the XHDPI folder in the apk.

If iChat was put inside a subsidiary folder of the Applications one then it will not get removed.
Apple App need to be loose in the Applications Folder or they will not update properly either.
I have heard of people creating a "Messaging App Folder" and keeping this inside the Applications folder with the consequences listed.
