Stills go outside the 16:9 borders PE4

Hi there!
I have a small videoproject with stills in it. I have some jpg-files that i made with photoshop. I import them to premiere and then i fiddled around with some effects. One is the scale property. I change the scale over time so that the effect will be a zooming in on the still photo. It looks as intended inside premiere elements 4 but when i export the video to a quick time movie the edges of the still photo will go out of the boarders on the 16:9 format as the scale increases. Its a bit hard to explain but someone might be able to help... what am I doing wrong? It works as inside PE4 when i export to an avi file.... My project is set to 16:9 format and is wide with in premiere. When i look at my video inside premiere it looks ok. (When the up-scaled photo crosses the edges of the screen it disappears out of it as it should).

Its a bit confusing and hard to explain. The problem, i might post a vid later on, is as follows:
1. When I save my project to a file (movie) I click "file export movie" and choose settings and then quicktime, then codex h264 and under video i chose pixel aspect ratio PAL widescreen 16:9. When I view this file in quick time player its still not 16:9 format but rather squeezed into a 4:3 frame in the player. Thats strange. Thats the first problem. (This works (its a 16:9 windows in QT player) if I instead save the movie from the "Share" feature in premiere elements with the same settings...).. strange..
2. The second problem, the one i came here for in the first place =) .
If i have a project set to 16:9 format in PE and add a picture. If i then scale this one up over time to make a zoom in effect strange things happen. When i export this project to a QT file (if it comes out with black borders on top and bottom that is..) it first looks good. Then when the scale effect starts the picture will fill out and zoom in and the edges of it will cross the black borders and go outside them... kinda like youd have a layer with black borders and then the scaleing image infront of them. Like its a letterboxed 4:3 window with my 16:9 contenct inside but since "it is" a 4:3 windows the scaleing image will go out into the black borders. As i said in my last post the problem wasnt there if I exported to an .avi file instead of QT.
Today, when i tried this again to see what i did exactly when outputting the file i cant seem to get the same problem to occur anyomore.. now its just my problem #1 as described above. Very annoying. I'll write here again if i figure out what i did to get the "scaling problem" to appear.

How can I blur a selection on a layer (gaussian blur) without the colors/transparency outside the borders of the selection bleeding through?

I am a digital artist, and I switch between programs a lot because sometimes photoshop just doesn't do everything, but I would really like to know if photoshop can help me with this. Is there a way for me to blur a selection without the edges becoming transparent (or color from outside the selection bleeding in). This really bothers me, and my other programs don't have this issue.

HELP! I want to know whether my hand-me-down iPhone 4 is SIM/carrier-locked or not. I was given an iPhone 4 which I think was purchased outside the Philippines.

I was given an iPhone 4 which I believed was purchased outside the Philippines. The previous owner had it jailbroken but something went wrong so it was stuck on DFU mode. So when it was given to me, I had it restored and updated via iTunes to iOS 5.1. I bought a micro-sim and inserted it on the sim tray. iTunes was able to detect the SIM card number and there was NO MESSAGE like the sim card is not supported whatsoever which can be usually seen in unsupported simcard. I thought everything went smoothly. But when I tried to set-up the phone, the SLIDE TO UNLOCK button is unresponsive. It doesn't work so I was stuck there and my iPhone cannot be accessed because of that. What shall I do? I have tried doing the hard reset several times, it still didn't work. I have tried restoring my iPhone three times but the slide to unlock is still unresponsive. I think the iPhone was able to detect my carrier simcard since it shows on the top corner the name of my carrier, mobile signal and 3g network. Now I am wondering as to why the slide to unlock button is unresponsive? Was it because of my iPhone LCD or was it because the iPhone is locked? Please help.

according to some blogs, if the sim card you are using is unsupported, iTunes will show you a message that the sim card you are using is unsupported. But when i opened itunes, I didn't see that message. Instead, it was able to detect my sim card number. So I guess, the simcard is supported. It isn't the original sim, though. Then the phone was able to detect the mobile carrier, mobile and 3g signals. So iam wondering whether my phone is locked or was it a hardware problem?

Launching a Preview Session Outside the ATG Business Control Center

I have setup a remote preview server on ATG 10.1.1. Everything works great when viewing it inside the BCC however I’m wondering how to access the preview server outside the BCC. According to the ATG documentation, it sounds like that’s possible. The ATG docs state:
“Users can preview project asset changes outside the framework of the Business Control Center. For example, you might want employees or outside reviewers who do not have access to the Business Control Center to evaluate changes to a Web application while it undergoes development. In this case, you can enable preview on servers that do not have the Business Control Center installed, then give reviewers URLs to the launch pages on these servers. They can invoke these URLs from any browser window.
Note: Users who are not logged into the Business Control Center can invoke preview sessions only with URLs to a server where the Business Control Center is not running. In order to avoid security breaches, URLs to preview sessions on the Business Control Center server are blocked.”
This is the only information I found in the documentation that talks about viewing preview outside the BCC. Based on this limited information, there are a lot of questions I have about how this actually works.
1. Any attempt to hit any page on my remote preview server outside the BCC, I see the following exception:
“ERROR [PreviewProfileRequestProcessor] An attempt was made to preview a project without logging in as a user with access to publishing assets. If you are running a local preview instance, the preview URLs registered with the PreviewURLManager may be misconfigured. Ensure that the preview URLs are configured with the same host and domain name used to access the BCC server. This preview request URL is: http://localhost:8280/sample_catalog/index.jsp. If you are running a remote preview instance, the Preview feature does not support remote preview on servers running the BCC. Ensure that the remote preview instance is not running any of the BCC related modules. If you received this error and did not try to perform a remote preview, then you may need to disable preview in the current web application by setting the atg.preview context parameter to false in the webapps web.xml file.”
I am not running the BCC on this instance so I’m not sure why I am seeing this. Is there something configuration I'm missing here?
2. I don’t understand where these urls would come from that a reviewer would use to preview the application. There is no "remote preview url" when previewing a page from within the BCC to copy and send to a reviewer so how would a BCC user send a url to a reviewer?
3. Assuming the reviewing knew which page to hit in the remote preview server, how would that page use the assets from a project? Should the project id of the project be include as a param to the url?

Shaik, if only it was that simple :( Do you have much experience working with remote preview or are you just guessing here like I have been? In order to help clarify my post though, here is the scenario that describes the basis for my questions:
A business user is working on a project within Merchandising of the BCC
1.     The user makes a change to a category
2.     The user clicks the Preview Button on the tool bar
3.     The system displays the Preview launcher screen
4.     The user selects a pre-configured profile user and page for the preview session
5.     The user clicks the Flexed based launch button
6.     The application displays within the context of the BCC browser/tab
7.     The business user would like to send that url to a reviewer who does not have access to login to the BCC
What happens from step 6 is that a giant iframe launches from within the context of the BCC browser/tab. If you are using remote preview, it is still an iframe and still displays within the context of the BCC browser/tab, the only difference is that the BCC is proxying information to the preview instance in order to initialize the preview session to display the application in the context of the business user’s project. The url the user sees in the browser is the url for the BCC, not the remote preview server. Because the UI for Merchandising and Preview is built using Flex, there is no way to click on the Preview button to open it up in another tab or browser. The only way your suggestion would work is if there is a way to configure the Flex UI to have it open up preview in a new browser/tab which I doubt is possible.
I hope this helps better explain my post. With that said though, this brings me back to my original questions.

How do I use the value of a table attribute outside the table?

I have two tables that are master detail. But it might not be so obvious to the user before he knows how the page works that they are master detail. The tables are in separate showDetailItems in a panelAccordion and what I was thinking of was to show the value of one coloum in the selected row in the master in the text in the showdetail item that contains the detail table. But I can´t find the right expression to put into the accordion. How should the expression look like to get the value of an attribute in a table for use outside the table?

Thanks for the suggestion but it doesn´t work. The first problem is that the page turns blank when I use that expression for the text in the showDetailItem and the second problem is that I don´t seem to be able to use the master table as a partial trigger. When I click edit in the partial trigger property I can´t shuttle the master table over to be a partial trigger to the showDetailItem even if the table has an id.

Well I figured out how to come half way. I did the following things:
1) Created an attribute value binding to the attribute I wanted to be shown in the showDetailItem
2) Set the text property in the showDetailItem to this attribute value like this #{binding.attributeValue}
To solve the problem I had with the partial triggers I continued like this
3) Gave other components on the path from the showDetailItem to the master table id´s
4) Clicked edit on the partial trigger property on the showDetailItem and was now able to shuttle the master table over to be a partial trigger.
But I now got an other problem which looks like a bug. At first when I enter the page it looks fine but when I change focus in the master table to another row part of the showDetailItem containing the detail table disapears. The detail table still remains and works as it should but the part containing the text I tried to set above disapears and the text in the showDetailItem containing the master gets replaced by the text that was supposed to be in the showDetailItem containing the detail table. Any suggestions how to correct this are very welcome.

I want to buy the NFL Game Pass package to view this season on my iPad 2 which I bought and registered in the U.S. I now live outside the U.S. but a message in the app store says I cannot download the app from the U.S. store. By the way the product can only be viewed outside the U.S. once purchased. The problem is how to purchase it without access to the app store.
Support for NFL Game Pass apologized and advised to create a new International iTunes account. In reading a product review I see one person living in Hong Kong created what he called a dummy account, downloaded the app, bought the package and it still doesn't work. Before following this advice I wanted to know of any comments or suggestions. Thanks!

How to set tabs and how to set them outside the margins of my main body of text

I type lots of docs where I have a body of text, indented, and then there is an action letter, A,B,C etc, out to the right. Can't see how to set the body of text plus separate tab outside the margin in Pages. Could do it in MS Word. Pages looks great, but I'm stuck on a few things I used to do. Can anyone help?

you'll see that the D, C, B etc are squashed up to the text, I can't move their tab outside the margin. On Word (dare I say it?) I could set my right hand margin and still have a tab further out. Don't know that your anchoring idea is the thing. Is there another way to limit my text? I wonder about columns, although then all the ABCs will be in the second won't they?
Any ideas?

If someone calls me from skype, which rate will be applied? From Portugal to Andorra, or From Portugal to Portugal?
And what about my Mobile Phone, will I have to support roaming costs?

your partner's mobile is registered in the UK
calls forwarded from Skype to that UK number are covered (as you know)
as is, forwarded calls would still be going to the UK number, and he would pay roaming charges from his mobile carrier for the priviledge of answering these calls while abroad (iow, has nothing to do with Skype)
if he got a local SIM for his mobile phone while abroad, then Skype could be forwarded to that number for free if he added a Skype subscription that covers SkypeOut calls to the number associated with that local SIM (in your example this would be Unlimited US/Canada sub)

Safari cannot load web pages, but still communicates with the www

I am using Safari 6.0.5 as my main web browser. Unexpectedly, a week ago it stopped loading web pages, though apparently the program somewhat still communicates with the world outside, since I can enter any text in the address bar and get responses in real time from Google.
Other programs using the internet work regularly. I have already tried the usual set of solutions proposed in the official documents.

How to run the Start_Script outside the cluster

Hi
We have a 3 node cluster and we have 4 RG created. All is working fine.
In the situation , where the appliaction stops for some reason , I have created the probe script to only page the team and not do anything else. The probe script is always returning 0.
Also , I have suppresed the PMF monitoring as described by http://blogs.sun.com/TF/entry/disabling_pmf_action_script_with
This is the start of my start script

The reason , we did this way is because
1>When the application daemon goes down , only the master process goes down , all the child process are still up and running . The child process do not need the main daemon as long as they are UP. They only need main daemon if they need to restart.
2>If we go by complete restart of the Resource , it will kill all the child process before starting them. This can be cause of concern for us since restarting of the child process required vendor interaction attimes as most of them are TCPIP connections with various applications(We are interface engine shop)
3>However, We can just start the main daemon only and all the previous child process can connect back to it.
Question is how? I tried starting the Start script outside the cluster by passing the parameters of Resource and RG , but it threw this error
"pmfadm: ",,0.svc" No such <nametag> registered" , and I think this is because Iam running it outside the cluster as they do not have access to pmadm process. However, it starts the daemon , but I do not know if that will start PMF monitoring

1>Ours is a Egate envirnoment and the process that gets started by my START_SCRIPT is a boot strap kind of a daemon process. This process in turn launches multiple TCPIP , ODBC , FTP process and they run independently once they are launched.
2>The daemon process is what we are doing a probe on. This daemon process sometimes can go down and more or less it is normal , however the child process still continues to run. In non cluster envirnoment , we just start the daemon again and all works fine
3>However, if I take a restart option from Cluster when the daemon dies , It will first STOP the data service(stop all the child process) , then start it . My requirement is that I should NOT stop the Dataservice because stoping the DS will result in killing of child processes too My requirement is just to launch the START_SCRIPT so that only daemon is started. If the child process are still running , the daemon will not launch any duplicate child processes
I can make Stop script more intellegent , but it is very difficult to know in what situation the Stop was called from. If I know it was from RESTART option , I can then ignore killing the child process. But I guess it is very difficult to know
4>So , I thought , if the Daemon goes down , I will start the daemon outside the SC and my probe script will still do its job . I have anyway disabled the PMF monitoring , so I do not care about the PMF
does it make sense?
Do you know any other way of starting the start_script withing SC , without doing shutdown and start

I want to write to the equivalent of C:\store, however, because I'm using Linux, I want to write to /store. I have tried adding

Is it worth getting the iphone 3G if I am outside the 3G zone?

I really want to get the new iphone, but I am just outside the 3G area shown on AT&T's map. Will I still get some sort of internet connection if I am outside the zone?
I intend to go to a store to ask someone in person, but if anyone knows the answer I would greatly appreciate a reply!

I am outside 3G by 6 miles. If you are not in 3G, you get EDGE (2.5G) speeds.
As to whether it is worth it is up to you personally. I like having the GPS and will hope they come 6 miles north to put 3G in my area some point in the next decade. Plus, I went from a 4GB to 16GB iPhone.

I had to turn on location services for passbook before mine would show up.
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>Passbook
once I allowed location services for passbook I could add cards, etc. I was able to turn location services off after a card was added and the passbook option still showed up under general settings
