Stitcher Unlimited icon and splash screen...

After the upgrade the splash screen for Realviz Stitcher Unlimited is whacked out, to say the least. It has gone from white and yellow to a series of blues and greens. Also, the icon in the dock goes from looking correct - primarily yellow - to invisible with a slight white outline, upon launching the app(like Wonder Woman's airplane on the old Superfriends cartoon).
Within the application, some of the icons and buttons are affected as well. The application seems to function properly, though. Not sure what would have caused this other than file formats not being read correctly. I guess Snow Leopard is looking at software in a whole new way???

The images used for the splash screen and the icon cannot be stored in your JAR files. This is clearly stated in the documentation (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/jws/developersguide/syntax.html#information):
icon Element - Contains an HTTP URL to an image file in either GIF or JPEG format.
If you want to be able to package your entire application into a single bundle so that you can distribute it to your customer's who will then deploy it on their own internal websites, then I recommend you look into the documentation for "Packaging JNLP Applications in a Web Archive" (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/jws/downloadservletguide.html) However, this requires that your customer's website has a servlet container, such as Tomcat.
Other images can be loaded from your JAR files using the getResources method from the class loader. This is documented here:

I entered all the icons and splash screens in the Viewer Builder. Top of screen says "all icons and splash screen images for ipad SD are complete". However, when I hit the NEXT button, nothing happens. I did not enter an optional Fonts Zip for HTML file. Is this why I cannot move on to Provisioning?

DPS App Builder is stuck on the Icons and Splash Screen step

I'm stuck on this step and the next button just does nothing. Could use some input as to why? Do the folio files need to be on the local computer the App Builder is running from? I had created it at home, trying to make the app at work. When launching the DPS buidler from inDesign and choosing create app from the folio buidler panel, it said it read the articles ok so I figured it only needs what on Adobe's server. Other than that, I can't think of why it's stuck on this step. Thanks for any help!

DPS builder wont allow me to continue to icons and splas screens

I have finished uploading my folio to the folio producer as well as exported it into a zip file.
As i go into indesign again to create my app the DPS builder wont allow to go the next stage of icons and splash screens.

Solved! Tried everything in the support documents and none of it worked. Massive frustration with Adobe Chat staff who know nothing and just kept telling me to look at the support documents over and over. They also gave me a contact number in Australia that has a recorde d message saying the product is not supported! What is that about?
Finally Anand from Adobe tech support called me (from when I reopened the original support case that gave me the serial number).
Just had to rename folder SLCache in c:\program files(x86) and reaccept the EULA and reactive. Now everything works fine. Way to hard.

OS X 10.8 Game Center won't load past log in and splash screen

I upgraded to mountain lion on wednesday and noticed Game Center does not allow me to log in. A splash screen appears over the log in screen (green with brown border) with no text in it and just a <cancel> button.
If I cancel this box, the log in screen appears, but when I enter my apple Id and password, nothing happens. I have also tried creating a new ID without success. it also does move off the log in screen.

It's working now.
(I am in the US).
I eventually read a solution that worked! I signed into Game Center using an iPad, and now I can sign into GC on my Mac.

Ipod touch half moon icon and black screen

This is my sons iPod touch and this is what it shows. There is the iPod logo in the upper left hand corner and what I think is signal for wifi and then in the middle is a half moon and the right side is the battery icon. Other than that it is a black screen and will not turn off or do anything. Please help. Thank you.

Blinking Icon and Nonresponsive Screen

Hey,
So I had shut down my Macbook Pro and restarted it, and then the problems started happening.
The top bar (the bar with the Airport icon, the battery icon, the search tool, etc) would be there for 5 seconds, disappear, and reappear. And it would be unresponsive to clicks.
The Macintosh HD icon is THE ONLY icon that shows up and it does the same, show up, disappear, reappear thing.
The dock is frozen. And unresponsive.
I called Apple and they said that Leopard would have to be reinstalled, but in the meantime, I could log onto my other user (since it was a user-specific issue) and use the basic programs there but no data.
I won't be able to get the computer store until later on next week--any suggestions for what I can do and/or how to get my music/documents back onto this user account? I have some stuff backed up but short of re-transferring my entire iTunes library, is there anything else I can do?

May be an issue with it but try holding menu and up key on teh remote TOGETHER for 6 secs in case it's selecting an incorrect video mode - that option will cycle video modes. Check HDMI connection to display is not loose at either end.

How to display different Splash Screen depending on the Locale?

Hi,
I have a splash screen which is working fine.
I want to display different spalsh screen depending on the locale the user has.
Is this possible.
I can display different Title,Description and the text of the short-cut icon on desktop and startup Menu based on the locale by mentioning it in the JNLP and altering my browser settings. I am not able to use the icon and splash screen corresponding to the specified locale. How to do this?

Icon and screen does not work

these is no itunes icon on the main screen and when i connect the nano with the computer will appear a white circle around the icon and the screen does not work

FCP will not start not even a splash screen

I updated my 15" MacBook Pro to OSX 10.6.6 and now none of my Final Cut Pro projects will launch there is not even a splash screen that pops up. When I right click the FCP icon in the dock the only option it gives is to force quit. Has anyone heard of this happening in relation to an OS update?

Okay. I finally got FCS 2 apps and the App Store to coexist, but not without considerable trial and error. There is definitely some bad blood between 10.6.6 and FCS 2 apps. I haven't been able to pinpoint the exact problem since the behavior I experienced with FCP and Compressor was very inconsistent, but I do have some solutions that might work. I don't guarantee they'll all work as they did for me, but it's worth a shot.
1) Try launching FCP and waiting as long as you can when it hangs. Several times, if I waited long enough, the splash screen would magically appear and everything would start up as normal, even after a full minute or so.
2) Delete the Final Cut Pro System ID file and re-enter your serial number after launching FCP. Make sure you have your serial number handy before you try this. The System ID file is located in ~/Library/Application Support/ProApps/. Deleting this file allowed the serial dialogue to come up, and after entering the serial, FCP launched successfully.
3) If you have the time and patience, I highly recommend a totally clean install of 10.6 Snow Leopard and using the 10.6.6 Combo Update to get up to date. I managed to get a working Final Cut Pro and Compressor using this method, even though it was a pain in the ***. Using the Migration Assistant to transfer your files over will not break FCS2 apps. As a precaution, I did not transfer over any of my System Settings with the Migration Assistant. You can find the 10.6.6 Combo update here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1349
From my tests, I think there is some problem in 10.6.6 with how OS X displays custom dialogue boxes, such as the kind that drop down from the menu-bar or FCS's custom dialogue boxes and splash screens. I get hangs in MAS when it tries to display the Apple ID login and FCS upon launching. The behavior is inconsistent, sometimes hanging for 30 seconds, other times indefinitely, and I don't have the technical expertise to understand why. However, I've ruled out a disk error through a clean bill of health from disk utils and running the same OS config from two different hard drives.
Here's what I did:
1. Verified internal hard drive and made a SuperDuper backup of my internal hard drive to an external drive.
2. Wiped internal hard drive, installed 10.6 Snow Leopard, and installed Final Cut Studio from disks.
3. Installed the 10.6.5 combo update. Used Software Update to get all software up to date, but unchecked the 10.6.6 update.
Tested FCP: hang on startup.
4. Deleted the System ID file.
Tested FCP: asked for serial number, then completed launch.
Tested FCP again: launched with no problem.
Tested Compressor: launched with no problem.
5. I wanted to test the System ID fix on my old setup. I booted to SuperDuper backup (10.6.6 from Software Update) and deleted the System ID file.
Tested FCP: hang on startup.
6. Booted to clean-install (now at 10.6.5) and applied the 10.6.6 combo update.
Tested FCP: hang on startup
7. Deleted the System ID file.
Tested FCP: asked for serial number, then completed launch.
Tested FCP: initially hung on startup. However, after about 30 seconds, it surprisingly launched with no issues.
Tested FCP: took about 30 seconds to launch (no hang), but eventually displayed splash and launched with no issues.
Tested Compressor: same as above.
8. Migrated data from SuperDuper backup to 10.6.6 clean-install on internal drive using Migration Assistant. Excluded "Settings." I also deleted the System ID before testing.
Tested FCP: asked for serial number, then completed launch.
Tested Compressor: launched with no problems.
Tested FCP: launched with no problems.
9. I then launched the freshly installed Mac App Store. I clicked "install" for Evernote, and the app hung. However, after a moment, it displayed the Apple ID login drop-down from the menu bar. I entered my credentials and Evernote installed.
Tested FCP: initially hung on startup, then launched without a problem.
Tested FCP: launched without a problem.
Tested Compressor: launched without a problem
10. I decided to try one last little test. I deleted Evernote and launched both the Mac App Store and FCP at the same time. FCP hung on startup. I clicked "install" for Evernote again, and App Store hung. After a moment, though, FCP completed its launch AND the App Store drop-down asking me for my Apple ID appeared at the same time. This interested me, since it seemed to suggest that these were related incidents.
I have some process samples from activity monitor for when FCP hung, if someone would find them useful, but I can't read them at all. Console showed the following whenever FCP hung:

Premiere Pro not loading after splash screen, can't find fix on forums.

Fresh install, doesn't matter what I do to this machine, memcheck came out ok. I click on Premiere Pro CS3 icon loads splash screen, then kicks out an error code.

ok, one more time. I have a problem with Premiere Pro CS3 Crashing after the splash screen. It loads everything right on the splash screen, but when it goes to loading the work areas, it goes white and comes up with the error code of :EventType : BEX P1 : P2 : 0.0.0.0 P3 : 00000000 P4 : unknown

I have an amd 4800+ Dual Core and 3 gigs of ram. An Nvidia 8800gt with latest drivers installed for all of it. Running windows XP home sp 3 build 2600 More information on my system below.
I've re-installed 3 times, and even tried a clean install of vista. I've done the hold shift while loading and get the same issue no matter what. I've Deleted the premiere folder in local settings.

Garmin Mobile XT v 5.00.40 splash screen comes up ...

I recently hardware reset my Nokia N95-8GB phone after being advised to do so by Fring (I could not get the software to start).
Now Fring is working fine as is all the software I previously had on the phone. The only exception is Garmin. When I click the icon, the splash screen temporarily comes up and then the program exists.
Is there a log file garmin creates that I can inspect (I am afraid that if I ask the garmin folk will tell me to reset the phone again).

Try going to Garmin/Apps and see if there is a gmsup.ini file. If there is, delete it (or copy it to pc and then delete it from mass memory so you can put it back if it does not work) then restart Garmin and see if it works.
