Stitching photos together, can it be done in Elements?

how do you stitch together photos in elements?

Are talking about making a panorama?
If so, in the photoshop elements editor, either File>New>Photomerge Panorama or Enhance>Photomerge Panorama (depending on the version of photoshop elements)
(in case you have one of first several versions of photoshop elements that would be File>Create Photomerge)

  • Numbering photos. Can it be done automatically?

I'm working on a book with roughly a billion photos that all need to be numbered (some will have additional caption appearing over the photo)
The above image shows what I want it to look like, but the task of placing text boxes over all of the images seems unweildly. Is there a way to do this using a script or similar to save me some time?
The image above has some clumsy coloured boxes with a separate text box over top. That redundancy will be removed, but I'm not sure if a coloured test box is the way to go, or if I should use an underscore. Different sections of the book will require different coloured tags, I think. And not all photos in the book need the numbered boxes, but it'll be easier to delete boxes. I think it's a pipe dream to imagine that the numbering of the photos per spread could be automated, but I may as well ask for ideas on that, too.
    Any advice is appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Both of those cameras should be supported by PSE 12.
Just open the NEF file in the editor. It will first load the camera raw where you can do some adjustment.
When satisfied, make sure that the bit depth option is set to 8 bits/channel (bottom middle of camera raw window).
Click on Open Image to open the image in the main editor window.
Make any further adjustments you want to and then go to the File menu and select Save As
Change the format to JPEG, change the name if you want to and then click on Save.
You can adjust the quality on the next box (higher quality = larger file)
If you get a message about unsupported file format, it could be that you have use the old Nikon transfer program to copy the images from the card to your hard drive. This is knoow to cause corruption. See the following for a tool to correct the files.

    Good luck

  • Keep list items together - Can it be done, and how?

I have a document with lots of lists with five or six items in them peppered throughout the text.
b I would like to set up my Paragraph Styles such that each item in a list
    (styled NumberedList)
b is kept together on one page,
but haven't found within the Help Files, this forum or via Google a way to make this happen.
One imperfect option would appear to be to use 'Keep with Next:' X lines, and set X to equal the number of items in my largest list minus 1. This would have the desired effect of keeping the list together, but would have the undesireable effect of keeping the next X number of lines of the next paragraph(s) with the list.
Surely this would be quite a common design aim.
    Any tips?
    CS3 on OSX

    Thanks Gerald.
Five minutes testing seems to confirm that this still has the effect(
    i edit:
in certain circumstances) of 'dragging' the list onto the next page if there is a body text paragraph following it .
It certainly isn't as bad as I originally posited, in that it is only a line (or two, depending on how one likes to set the keep preferences for the body text style), but I suppose I was expecting an option to ensure that all elements in a list are kept together without that rule being associated with any text that followed the list in the document.
Thanks again, it's certainly better than what I thought I could do. But if there is another way I'd love to hear it.

  • Want to use my current logo and apply it to images of clothing: can this be done with Elements?

I want a tool that will allow me to use my current logo and apply it to images of clothing. will Elements be able to perform this task. I am not a pro and looking for the best Adobe product to perform these simple tasks.
any suggestions will be very helpful...thank you

You should be able to do this in Photoshop Elements.
The drill is to isolate the logo from the background, then copy/paste to the garment.
Suggest that you download the 30 day trial version of PSE13 which is a fully functioning program.
    Here are directions prepared previously:

  • Tiling many aerial photos together

I'd appreciate any advice on this one. I use Photoshop Cs3 to tile aerial photos together. I have done up to a hundred images from an 19 mp camera and Photoshop has done them in one batch in about an hour to 90 minutes. I have a job to do that involves 200 images from a 36 mp camera and it just ain't happening. I try to break the job up by tiling a section together and then doing another section but when I go to put the sections together (or add new photo's to a section)...the large block has been resized so I'm trying to put big images into a small hole. Can anyone help me with this?

Not sure about Photoshop, but perhaps AutoPanoGiga can do it:
    http://www.kolor.com/image-stitching-software-autopano-giga-photo-stitching-feature.html
I think the trial version will watermark the output and may expire, but it should be good enough to test for capacity.

  • Stitching photos in iPhoto

Hi, can…someone tell me if you can stitch photos together in iPhoto to create a panoramic photo using multiple photos taken with a Canon Digital camera?
    Thanks

    Hi.
No, iPhoto can't do this. You can export a copy of each photo for your panorama to your Desktop. Open the exports in Canon PhotoStitch, create your panorama, and import it to your iPhoto library as a new original.
    Regards.

  • I need to trim parts of my photos. Can I do this in iPhoto?

I have two photos that I scanned in to be the front and back of a book I'm publishing through createspace. I need to to remove parts of the photos. Can this be done in iPhoto?

You can crop the photos in iPhoto, if that's what you mean.

  • How to stitch two photos together as panorama

how do I stitch two photos together to form a panorama?

Best way I can think of is to know the dimensions of the two photos, start a PS Touch project that's roughly the additive width of those two photos (e.g. If both photos are about 1000 pixels across, start with a project of about 2000 pixels wide or more), then place each photo on its own layer using the "add image" button (2nd icon from the upper left).
Use the "transform" icon (5th icon from the upper right) to change a layer's size, position, etc. Adjust one layer's transparency while you place them together. Put it back to 100% opacity when done.
When making a panorama, remember to have an overlapping point (usually about 20 to 30%) between the two photos. This makes it easier to stitch.

  • Can i stitch photos in lightroom

Is it possible to stitch photos in LR and,if so, how many can i put together?

You will need Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, or some other program to stitch images together. That is not a function of Lightroom. If you are using a Windows computer you might consider Microsoft Ice. It's a free program that does a pretty good job of stitching images. You just have to export JPEG images and then use those with Ice.

  • How can I send multiple pictures to the Kodak link (under file & then order prints)? if the photos are not sequential can it be done?

how can I send multiple pictures to the Kodak link (under file & then order prints)?  if the photos are not sequential can it be done?

Does the order matter here?Because the photos will be sent for printing. If there is any other reason, can you please cite example.

  • How can I keep the front and back of a photo together in a single image?

I'm running PSE 8 on XP with SP3.
I'm getting ready to upgrade to PSE 9.
My cousin just sent me 24 old family photos.
On the back of each photo is a lot of information.
Who is in the picture, where it was taken, what the event was, etc.
What I'd like to be able to do is to scan these images in and somehow keep the front and the back of
each photo together in a single image. That way I can post them to a photo web site and people
can look at the image and read what it is.
    I have a Lexmark Pro 205 printer/scanner.
Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions!

I worked on one of the pictures with your Mom and Dad. These scans are quite good and there is a lot of information in them. One can spend a lot of time fixing them up - good project!
    Here is what I did:
    Duplicated background layer
Applied Brightness/contrast adjustment layer, worked the sliders
    Merged down
Sampled sky with eye dropper tool, opened blank layer at top of stack, used brush tool to cover a few of the spots in the sky (?dust)
    Merged down
Accessed Smart brush tool, selected black & white in drop down, selected high contrast b&w, covered the sky with that
Selected Yellow filter, and covered the ground
    Merged down
Opened a blank layer at top of stack and added a couple of clouds
Applied Photofilter adjustment layer, warming filter LBA, adjusted density
    Sharpened slightly with unsharp  mask
    Merged visible
    Applied stroke
On review, the spots in the sky need additional work - they show up more on-line than in PSE.  Can be fixed in step #4.

  • HT204570 I have a ~22k pic iCloud photo library. I want to have a folder of ~1.2k pics available on my iPad in full resolution while offline, all the time. Can this be done?

Hi - I have had iCloud photos turned on for about 2 weeks.  My old iPhoto library of around 22k pics uploaded no problem.  My issues are with now viewing them on my iPhone and iPad, which are set to optimise storage.
On the iPad I used to have a folder of about 1200 pics which I'd use as a photo frame by chucking on as a slideshow on my desk at work. I don't connect to the wifi there.  Since iCloud photo I can't do this, as the pics are mostly low res, if there at all (two weeks after upload the vast majority of my library appears as just a sea of grey squares on both i-devices - thumbnails have not appeared for huge swathes of the library at all.  Is this going to right itself?).   I read about using Favourites to ensure local full res copies are kept, so I've gone through and favourited each pic (no option to do this in bulk on the iPad?) and this has ensured at least that each pic of those selected have thumbnails now, but no guarantee that the full image will display.  Even when I run the slideshow connected to wifi the low-res pixelated placeholder is what's displayed for most of the time the image is on the screen.  And if Favourites is the way to force local hi-res copies I still have no need for these to be also stored in full resolution on my iPhone.
Basically, I want a way to force folders to be available in full, offline, and specific to the device.  Is this possible?  Big step back for what I use this thing for if not.

Is there anything ornate in the frame images. Or are they more or less just made with strips of standard framing molding. If nothing fancy just molding  then an action that uses patterns and a little bit of scripting can frame your images orientation does not matter a little scripting handles that.  To scale you images to the proper size will take some scripting and the spread sheet exported to a CSV file containing filename width and height.
My crafting action package contains 12 scripts to be used in actions.  Two of which would be very useful for your project. If you create you script to size the images so they have the correct print size.  The framing of these would be easy.  The action would first run two of my run twice scripts for action.  The first scripts saves the documents current resolution so the action can change it to what it need the document to have for its framing patterns.  The second script will rotate portrait images to landscape orientation.  The action can the add the 1" frame. once the frame is in place the action the runs the two scripts again. The second time these action run they will restore thing. One will rotate the documents it rotated to landscape back to portraits and the other will restore the documents resolution.  My image visualization package has framing actions and a script to make a 1" mitered selection to be filled with the framing pattern.
